"Legendary NBA player Shaquille O’Neal’s fast casual fried chicken restaurant Big Chicken is now open in Glendale. The restaurant lands just across the street from the Rick Caruso-owned Americana development, and doors down from Shake Shack and Eggslut in the former Greenleaf space. The new Los Angeles-area Big Chicken was first announced nearly one year ago, fresh off the heels of O’Neal’s 2018 reality series on Facebook Watch that detailed the process of opening the first-ever location in Las Vegas, Nevada. Glendale is now the second Big Chicken in existence, though others are planned, including at least one on a cruise line. O’Neal also operates the sit-down Southern restaurant Shaquille’s at LA Live in Downtown, not far from the bronze statue of him dunking during his championship Laker reign. As for Big Chicken, expect a fast casual space with counter ordering and bright orange detail work. There’s an open kitchen to the back, and a menu board hangs above the counter. There are fried chicken sandwiches offered a variety of ways (including Nashville hot) plus tenders and regular and sweet potato fries. Big Chicken hours run daily from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m." - Farley Elliott

1st time here! I've walked by it many times on the way to Shake Shack but decided today is the day! (Of course, the recent Shaq commercials pushed as well). I ordered The Ultimate with a side of fries and a drink. The fries are crispy. There are different styles of fries, but I went with the regular. They're long flat style fries, and they don't retain heat that long, so eat them quickly. The Ultimate - this sandwich was really good. In fact, I've been building this exact sandwich at chick-fil-a for years, minus the crispy onions. Its The mac and cheese is so so so delicious. Drink options are pepsi products or the sourced in brand "Stubborn" that a lot of burger franchises have adopted (and Blaze pizza iirc). They also have sweet tea and The combo I got with was $14.08 (with tax $15.53). I think this is pretty fair for 1) glendale and 2) the mac and cheese as a stand alone side is $4.49. There are 2 single use restrooms. 1 male and 1 female. Typlically in LA single use restrooms are genderless so you don't have to wait as long but it is what it is (I don't think anyone will actually care if you use either one). They also have wifi: 25mb up/10mb down. "yummyyummy" All in all...I have no reason to go the shake shack anymore. Instead I'm getting Shaq's sandwiches at Big Chicken

Came here for lunch today and we're so glad we did!!! This is our NEW SPOT for Chicken Sandwiches!!! We were greeted by Freddi the Manager, he was so welcoming and helpful! We were helped by Kayla and she was really friendly and helpful, it took us awhile to decide and she was so patient with us! We chose to get 3 Chicken Sandwich combos. The Chicken Sandwiches are TOP NOTCH! I got the Aristotle and it was the best I've ever had! The fries are flat steak fries and they were delicious! We loved that this place had a huge selection of specialty Sodas (and you get free refills with them!!!) And we love that they had a large selection of sauces! Not just the normal ketchup and Mustard choice! We will definitely be back soon!! Update: We've been back 3 times since! We've so far tried all the sandwiches on the menu and they are all great! Ultimate favorite is definitely the CHICAGO!!!! We tried their Jalapeño Slaw and it was really good! We also tried the oreo shake and Ice Cream Sandwiches and they were delicious!!!

Ordered the Jerome(Nashville hot) sandwich, regular fries and an Arnold Palmer. The Nashville hot was okay but NOT 'hot' at all. Size of the sandwich was decent and the brioche bun was good. I really liked the regular fries, they were cut like 'steak cut' fries but very thin and crispy! Will try the sweet potato fries next time. Overall, pretty good meal.

This is one of Shaq's restaurants and the Uncle Jerome chicken sandwich was hot & crispy as were the fries! The Stubborn brand cola is what stood out and tasted much better than the standard Coke/Pepsi offerings. All the staff I encountered was polite but the small paid parking lot in back fills up quickly though.

Service was very good, they had flash card type menu with pictures of every sandwich. Which is great for me because I’m a picture person lol. Food was amazing. I wish we had one of these in San Diego!

I saw Big Chicken was featured at a News food segment so when I saw Their shop in Glendale, so I decided eat there to try it out, I was kinda in a hurry so I just ordered their Uncle Jerome chicken ($9.59) and made it a combo for $4.49 more. The Uncle Jerome was supposed to be spicy but it wasn’t, it was tasty tho, I did like their fries, the place was clean and the workers were friendly and professional and offered to recommend choices when I mentioned that it was my first time there, I will have to try their Popcorn Chick and Chicken Tender next time😊

YouTube Channel - Doctored Reviews Great service, great food. I really think this is a top chicken place in Glendale, and is better than Dave's, which I hold to be a really good chicken joint. Came here with some friends and we tried different burgers. Fries were really unique, - a cool wedge cut. All were really good. Next time I want to come in and try the sliders. As far as the service - heres a little story. I made an offhand comment to my friend that the rootbeer machine was out. The franchise owner or manager must have overheard that coversation because they came to our table and told us that the rootbeer was reloaded and was ready for us to use. That sort of circumstantial awareness is awesome.

When they say big chicken they mean it. But first of all the place is nice, clean and well laid out. There were several big screens with videos so Shaquille O'Neal playing. If it's your first time you might not know what to order. Any of the chicken sandwiches are delicious. I don't know what the process is but the coating is soooooo crispy and delicious. But perhaps the fries are the best part of the meal. There is an ample selection of soft drinks available too. Trust me of you go once you'll be back for more 😊
