Great pizza joint located on Western Ave in between the Harvard Athletic Fields / Businnes School, Speedway, and the River. Located just off the 86 bus line - it is worth a pit stop. Pizza slices are large but the crispy crust does just the right job keeping the topping on top. Steak and chive is a nice mix and the Everything should be tried by everyone. You can’t go wrong tho with the Taco pizza - a personal favorite of the owners. Great service, great pizza and plenty of seating. Interior is often adorned with decorations from the most recent holiday, and everything is made with love year-round. Hoping to see more foot traffic making its way inside! Big Daddy's pizza will have you saying "Mama Mia!" - Check it out!

I had the privilege of having a very nice young lady by the name of Zey help me this evening, pleasant and very helpful. There, award-winning fried dough is award-winning. crusty on the outside nice and warm and fluffy inside. There pizza is delicious also. I did order Korean teriyaki chicken wing but I didn't have the opportunity to eat them yet. Thank you guys for the sample, absolutely delicious.

I have lived in Cambridge and Allston for 2 years. I have tried all the pizza places but this is the first time I have tried this place. It is very clean, the big slize is very tasty, they have good products and the employees are very friendly. I hope they have branches in every location.

The food is great and I've never had a problem picking up or getting delivery. I'm also pretty picky and they've kept mushrooms out of every single order I've selected "no mushrooms." I love the steak sandwich and the mac and cheese bites. The fried donuts with butterscotch and powdered sugar are really good, too.

Especially, I tried buffalo chicken pizza , wings dings and spicy fried and all soooo delicious. You shouldn’t die before trying those for 100% sure !!!

Legendary slices. Chicken tikka slice: instant classic Steak and scallion with white sauce: goated Fig and Bacon: Classy af Taco pizza: every lunch is a fiesta B-Dizzys is aggressively pushing the pizza envelope.

Excellent. Small pep pizza, 2 lamb gyros, small fried donuts & 2 cans of soda. We ordered to go. About a 20 minute wait time. Everything was tasty. When in town, we will definitely eat here again.

Usually suspicious of places with such extensive menus, but we have yet to choose wrong. Great ingredients, super fast delivery, everything is yummy from the pizzas to the salads, hamburgers, subs, fries, you name it. We'll be back for sure. One note: waaaay too many croutons in the caesar, but def get it with the fried chicken!!!

I have had three orders from Big Daddies in the past month. The first order was the back bay sandwich did not like it. The meat tasted funny. i also got a slice of the barbecue chicken pizza and it was good. i ordered a chicken parm and my friend she ordered the meatball subs. she each shared a half of our sandwich. The chicken parm was very good good bread chicken was moist and tasty. Will get again. The meatball sub was also very good. They actually tasted homemade not filled with soy. i do not know if they make them from scratch but they were good tasty sauce and delicious. Got the chicken tenders and they were good as well. Fresh chicken nice crunch juicy not dried out. i am going to have to taste their turkey sandwich i really did not like the back bay to see if it was just an anomaly over all i would give them 3.5 stars i do recommend .

Ordered a sandwich from Big Daddys Pizza & Sub Shop on Sunday evening. A perfectly fine spot when in the area, the pizza looked a bit better than the sandwiches. Quality: My order from Big Daddys Pizza & Sub Shop got the job done. I went with a Chicken Cutlet Sandwich, which I added some cheese and spicy peppers to. I could have used a bit more protein, but what was there was pretty good. It did not hold up well the next day, immediately soggy, however it was not too much of a surprise. Quantity: Sandwiches are large and can shared between two. Value: $14 for a Chicken Cutlet Sandwich. Ambiance: Big Daddys Pizza & Sub Shop is located in the Brighton area of Boston. It is a small, simple spot. When you enter they have a few tables near the large wrap-around windows. There is a ordering area behind it with the pizza slice options on display. Definitely more of a take-out spot, but if you can't wait, you could certainly eat your food there. Crowd: A few orders waiting to be picked up and a couple people eating slices at the tables inside. Service: Order was ready right on time. Parking: Easy to find nearby parking.

The best customer service. Food is DELICIOUS. I recommend the steak tip dinner, greek salad, philly cheese steak, taco pizza and fried dough bites. 1000000/10!

Do your customers a favor and don't sell them a wilted salad. Got home to a brown salad and had to throw it out. Are your employees not even concerned about what they serve? This place is so busy I reckon they don't care in the least. Thank you for nothing Bad Daddy

Good place for a quick slice. Good selection of pizzas and large slices. Wanted to try their homemade mozzarella sticks I'd heard about. Not the case. They were actually some of the lower quality frozen mozzarella sticks I've had. Breaded in panko rather than breadcrumbs and odd tasting cheese. Stick to slices.

For the Last ten years I have been ordering from Big Daddies and they had great prices and their subs matched their prices. Now in the last three years the sub sizes have gone down from a large to a medium, and prices have ski rocket. I they only have one size now. I ordered two subs an a small cheese fry and was charged $43.00 for that including delivery plus delivery for the the driver. Gouging on prices is over kill. They're taking advantage of the people who support their business.

The big Daddy on Chestnut Hill Ave and Just up from Beacon st is the one I'm writing about. I asked for extra ham and cheese sub. Excellent with hot stuff and toasted. I'll be back.

The best salads! My go to place for almost everything but the salads are amazing. My favorite is the chicken Caesar and buffalo chicken Caesar with their crispy chicken! They never disappoint.

We recently went in for the first time and was very surprised on the price, very affordable. Now when it came to eating the pizza..the pizza itself had some black stain which were probably from the oven but the odor was horrendous. It smelled like cow manure, it was devastating to see such a good looking pizza but the taste and odor lacked 110 percent.

Low quality ingredients, namely sandwich bread. Fries are the worst I've ever had. Just because every other pizza place in Allston/Brighton is bad doesn't mean you can't be better.

I tried Big Daddy's for the first time recently and have been a repeat customer ever since. This is now my go-to spot for subs. The chicken parm and cheesesteak subs are some of the best I've ever had and I couldn't recommend them enough (especially if you add pepperoni to the cheesesteak like I do!). The pizza however isn't my favorite. The crust is a little too dense and heavy on the corn meal for my personal taste but the quality of the sauce and toppings is very good. Service via doordash has also been great in my experience--very fast and fresh. Definitely consider Big Daddy's for great hot subs in the Boston area.

So left my wallet and they stole all the money out of it and then called to inform they found it. I should have stopped going back to Big Daddy's after this incident above but I'm partly to blame.....I forgot it on the counter next to the cash register. So I returned to get a Steak and Cheese sub and barely had enough meat on it to fill (1) half of the sub. $12....WHAT A RIP OFFF! They're supposed to add additional meat if you have a plain Steak and Cheese. Clearly they're just ripping off the customers.

Ordered delivery for group meeting very nice guy on the phone. Delivered what we asked for and the pizza was killer. Great crust. Incredible sauce Wish I had time to go in person.

Great little hole in the wall establishment!! The pizza slices are huge and I liked that they cut them in half after heating them up. It's a small dinning area but no one was there and we enjoyed our pizza and Mac & Cheese bites! This place is well deserving of its reputation!!!

Ever since they sold this place everything has gone downhill and fast! Pizza is not as good, they deliver the wrong stuff, Slices are smaller, Our company spends 10k a year here, Not anymore!

Negative 5 rating! Worst pizza I have ever tasted. If you left Ellio's frozen pizza in the sun for a week and then ate it after rodents and insects picked at it...it would be better than this! 90 minute delivery time - and nobody answered the phone for 3 hours. The food was all cold but it was the poor quality that made the food inedible. I threw away the pizza and the wings. I probably should call the food inspector to drop in. Don't eat here!

Good pizza, great Italian subs, angry meatball yumm.. the Buffalo chicken calzone I got was a mess almost soupy.. only thing I can complain about otherwise spot on!!

It was by accident that my friend and I found our ways to Big Daddys Pizza & Sub. We initially set out for a shabu place nearby, which was totally packed, wandered aimlessly for 30 minutes out in the cold. We were starving & freezing and yet a bit concerned as we entered Big Daddys--just seemed a bit too underwhelming for what we originally planned. Indeed, Big Daddys is a casual, no-frills diner but what a delightful surprise! Huge portions, stellar service, and hearty food for such a great price. I'd def stop by some other time!

I've only come here for their fried dough bites but it worth the trip every time! I would suggest ordering the butterscotch on the side if you don't plan on eating right away since it does harden after a bit. I love the size of each bite and the generous amount of powdered sugar they put on top. One of my favorite treats.

Delivery has been spot on. They still can't get any consistency with the pizza. Just ordered 2 Pizzas and it was like soup. Next week it will be hardly cooked and the week after it will be spot on. I miss reginas.

We ordered delivery to our hotel. I got hung up on the first time I called to place my order. The second time I finally reached a person. Our order was taken quickly. The delivery person was about 20 minutes behind what the ETA from the text message promised but no big deal. Food was just ok. Soggy pizza crust and my daughter said the buffalo chicken pizza wasn't anything she would order again. Salad was fresh and husband enjoyed it. The fried dough bites were a nice addition. I've had better pizza from the chain places.

A small little pizza/sub shop on the corner of Western Ave in Brighton. The fried dough bites are what brought me back here and this time to try out some of their food as well. I ordered takeout and got a chicken broccoli alfredo pizza with mushrooms, mozzarella sticks, curly fries with aioli, steak sandwich, and fried dough bites. The lady at the counter was very friendly and it was a quick pickup. The chicken broccoli alfredo pizza was pretty good, your standard pizza dough, good chicken, not dry or overcooked, and the added mushrooms gave an added texture to the pizza. The steak sub was made without cheese, super packed full of steak and mustard sauce. The fried dough bites are soft pillowy delights with powdered sugar and caramel sauce on top. Once you start eating them, you won't want to stop. I'd definitely make a hard pass on the mozzarella sticks. The breading wasn't crunchy or crispy and the cheese wasn't melty enough inside. The curly fries were meh, so I'd pass on those and save more room for those dough bites. If you want a quick meal, I'd recommend checking this place out!

Its too bad that I chose this place instead of my usual because it was good the last time but i didn't follow my own rule. If you get take out, check your order.! I even asked the counter girl if it was correct and she just pointed at the receipt and said it must be. Yeah right! Got a totally different sandwich inside although they had stapled my order to the bag. Couldn't wait to get home to eat and was pissed when the order was completely wrong. After waiting on hold twice for 7 minutes i finally called back again and demanded not to be put on hold. Would I like to come back for another sandwich? Yeah i want to drive back at 9 pm. Thanks for listening to my rant but better check your orders the next time at Big Daddy's.....

We had a Friday back in the office smorgasbord from Big Daddy's last week. What choices! So many wing flavors and more dipping sauces to try. The breads were so fresh. The pasta dishes were well cooked with flavorful (not bland) sauces. As much as I sampled I wish I could have had more!

I've given this place 2 chances to redeem themselves after I had a hand written receipt ROLLED INSIDE my sub. GROSS. But they continue to disappoint. The second time, I asked for my steak and cheese to be toasted they toasted only the bun everything else inside was cold. The cheese was placed on the sub just out the fridge. Could've been my fault because I wasn't specific enough.. Third time, male on the phone gave me so much attitude but hey, we all have those days. They charged me for dipping sauces on the side but I didn't receive anything :) On top of everything this place isn't good it's just convenient during covid since other places close early. I just moved to Watertown, if anything else was open I would go there, this place sucks I'll save my $$ and just go to McDonald's next time.

Fresh food and friendly service! We ate here almost 3 days in a row, and each time the food was fresh. Favorites were steak pizza and the wings. College students nearby are lucky! 1 drawback is no on-site parking.

Don't hesitate to get the Steak Tip Dinner with two sides. They are the best steak tip around! Let me say it again! They are the best steak tips around. If someone can tell where tip are better then Big Daddy's I will send you $10.. I would like to make a bigger bet but I don't want everyone beating me down over this. What happened to Big Daddy's? Is there new ownership? The onion rings are not the same anymore, they used to be those thin New England style fried onions that you get at clam shacks. They were so good. Now the onion rings are generic heavily battered onion rings that you can get at any shop. They don't have eggplant parm anymore either, they used to have the best eggplant parm in Boston! It was super thin and tender. No rangoons either and my favorite pizza doesn't exist anymore either. What happened? It's just like a generic pizza shop now, it's not special like it once was. Very disappointing.

Fast service. Ordered online and was overcharged by $60. After picking up order, got home and realized they did not give us all of the food that was ordered. Ordered "popcorn chicken" and it was undercooked and cut more like steak tips. Mozzarella sticks looked moldy and like they had been left out all day. Pizza made everyone sick. Would not recommend. Best thing about this place is their honey mustard dipping sauce.

Establishment has gone downhill in the last 5 years. I just had a very bad experience and will never go there again. Been a customer for a long, long time. Called to ordered a pizza delivery over the phone. Girl said it would take 40 mins. Over an hour later, we called back to ask where it was. Usually never took that long. She checked and the driver dropped it off at our "back door"....We live in Apt 2....so it was sitting there in our backyard. The girl then proceeds to tell us "Next time don't put back door". Excuse me?!!! First off, we CALLED not ordered online. AND confirmed Apt 2 on the phone. Secondly, your driver did not even bother to call and let us know the pizza is here. How dare you put the blame on us for your incompetence. Pizza is cold. I didn't care if they didn't refund but the girl didn't offer any apology or even show remorse. All I can say is "Deuces". Good luck keeping the business open for another five years.

Big Daddy's had been my standby in the pizza desert that is Brighton. The food is somewhere between fine and solid, with a few genuinely inspired things - Mac and cheese pizza? Cheesy stuffed cheesy bread with bacon and jalapenos? Yes please and thank you. The prices aren't necessarily cheap, but they're not outlandishly expensive. In theory, it's the kind of neighborhood joint that every neighborhood should have. So, why one star? The service has gone from passable to spotty to just godawful. I started noticing little things, like getting the wrong sauces with my buffalo tenders - if I ask for blue cheese, I should get blue cheese, which is the standard for buffalo anything, right? Then there was the time where they sent me a pizza that hadn't been sliced, at all. I am a well prepared fellow and never move into an apartment without my own trusty pizza cutter, so crisis was averted. But when you order pizza, you kind of expect it to come in slices. The nail in the coffin was tonight, when my delivery order took an hour and 52 minutes to arrive. I called at the 1:25 mark to ask what was up, and got a mumbled explanation - literally mumbled, the dude sounded like he had 17 pieces of Bubblicious in his mouth - about the order being done but they were waiting for a driver to come back and he's sorry but they only have 4 drivers and mumble mumble. He might have mumbled something about throwing in a discount off my next order, but at this point all I was hearing was excuses and I didn't really care, nor could I make it out clearly through the mumbling. When my order finally arrived, almost 2 hours after I'd placed it, I said to the driver, "wow, that took almost two hours." She said, "yeah, we're really busy." No apology. No thanks for the tip that I'd included in the online order, and thus was obligated to pay, despite the godawful service. So, Big Daddy's, it's been real, but I'm done with ya. Your food is fine. But fine doesn't cut it in the competitive world of pizza delivery when your service can't step up and handle a busy night. It's gonna be Flaming Pit in Watertown from now on- comparable quality, and the few times I've ordered from them, the food has arrived promptly.

This was my go-to when I lived in the area. The pizza is amazing and somehow the rest of the menu is huge and filled with fresh and tasty items as well. Definitely worth your $$ for some good, affordable eats!

After about a decade away from Brighton, I'm back. My first take out order was to my favorite spot from all those years ago. No dissapointment here. Judge if you like, but I ordered three meal items for myself to eat over the course of a day and a half, because to be honest I just didn't feel like going to the grocery store. 1. Steak Tips, one of the best in the delivery biz. Love the rice pilaf, got myself a side of garlic bread and made a little steak tip sandwich, because what can I say, I'm a genius. 2. Meatballs and ziti. Excellent take out quality. 3. North End calzone. God I love this thing with its italian meats and cheese all over the place. Looking forward to ordering again.

We have been customers for a long time. We ordered the past 2 nights, and they got the order wrong on both nights. The first time I figured mistakes happen, but not two nights in a row!! I called to speak to the manager and he didn't seem to care, just that he would give me a credit. Meanwhile a family member doesn't have a meal. I told him that we would no longer do business with Big Daddy's and was told "OK, have a good night." I wish I could give this a negative star review.

This review is for their steak and cheese egg rolls! They are my go-to delicious pick-me-up food. Excellent with their honey mustard! Crisp, not greasy, scrumptious- highly recommend!

I order from here all the time. The pizza is decent, delivery is reasonably fast, and I like that they are constantly trying new things on their menu. I do however take issue with the new fries they're serving. Without any notice that I can find on their website, they've changed their fries to these terrible artificially coated abominations that are so excessively salty, that more than one will probably send your blood pressure through the roof. I literally had to throw them away. I've noticed more, and local more places switching to these fries lately, most likely because the toxic chemical coating keeps them from getting soggy. Its a poor trade off IMO. If I get soggy fries, I just toss them in the oven at 450 for five minutes, and they're back to crispy, no mysterious chemicals required.

The food is amazing. The staff there creates such a warm & welcoming atmosphere. I accidently left my debit card after paying, Shanlee offered to drop it off to me on her way home. I'm literally going to eat lunch there for the rest of the year. The best customer service around town. Thank you Shanlee and the staff at Big daddy's.

Wow! Highly recommend this place! First of all, we order here frequently because the food is good, but today they went above and beyond. Something was missing from our pick-up order and they delivered it after hours!! When small business truly shows they care for customers, even a small gesture, it really truly goes along way. I recommend the food, and the people here. 10/10 !!! You guys are amazing!!

Came here last night , just wanted chicken wings and fried dough and it took about 50 minutes ??? the workers seem like they don't wtf there doing . this place needs more staff and better management. if ur looking for a quick bite the wait isn't worth it .
