Opened in 1986, Big E Pizza is not just your typical pizza joint—it’s like walking into a mob movie set with all the gangster film posters and photos decorating the walls. An absolute gem. We found this place while working in Long Beach. We need a place like this in Orange County. The ribs and chicken wings were an absolute treat for us. The pizza was good, too. You can expect us back when we're in the area.

My 1st time trying their pizza was the meatlovers. With all the toppings and grease the pizza was VERY wet and unappealing. Taste wasn't bad but the sauce had turned watery with the grease. I gave them another go yesterday and they redeemed themselves. Chose the Home Alone special and it was great. Sausage pizza had great flavor and sauce, the salad was fresh and enjoyable, and the wings were crispy underneath the sweet BBQ sauce. Will order again. Staff was always friendly and ready to help, location is busy showing they know how to bring customers back.

Great . I had a really good time there with my wife . We both enjoy Chicago style pizza. And they got it right.. very clean and lots of room for dinning inside. The only thing I don't like is pay up front.like I'm going to steal . Thanks u big E pizza .

First time going to this place. The servers were nice and attentive. Food comes out fast. The pizza was very delicious, it was cheesy, soft and had a nice crust. The lasagna was tasty. The spaghetti with meat balls was ok, but meatballs were very bland. The chicken Caesar salad was good. I would come back for the pizza and chicken wings.

Our firt time ordering from Big E. You wouldn't be able to tell standing outside but the place is huge. Neatly decorated. Personally I think the price is a little high for the amount of food but I think it's worth it.... great pizza

We found this Late night craving spot on yelp.. 5 stars of course..this pizza was fuego ..The dough the meats the cheesey cheese everything was sooooo fresh!!! And soooooo tasty!!! I'm not a fan of eating crusts but I ate everything except the pizza box and left no crumbs. Because it was like super late we ordered and had it delivered I can't tell you about the service or ambiance inside the restaurant,But I can tell you the staff were very friendly over the phone, and my meal arrived quickly. I have to say, if you are a pizza lover you will not be disappointed. I would give them more than 5 stars if I could. Please share with me your favorite menu items. I can't wait to try everything.

I have to say, I'm extremely disappointed with Big E's Pizza these days. We've been loyal customers for 6 years and noticed the quality and customer service diminish. We ordered a pizza 2 weeks ago and the taste of the cheese was awful, almost as if the recipe was altered. Today I placed another order and they forgot a portion of my order so the driver had to come back to deliver it to me. When my kids opened their pizza a few minutes later they discovered that the order was wrong so I called the restaurant back (again) and let them know the issue. I spoke with Maribel and she said she would fix the issue but "I will have to wait another 45 min." I then asked for a credit for the double inconvenience and she said "you're getting another pizza right? That's the credit." This response is absurd. I also offered the wrong pizza back to the driver and he refused it. After increased prices and subpar customer service, we'll be searching for a new place. We pay this place way too much money for this type of service. What a shame.

We had takeout from this pizza joint and these are my takeaways : Service: quick ! Especially considering the amount of food ordered Pizza: We got a meat lovers pizza and it was absolutely DELICIOUS!! Perfect crust and lots of toppings (they are not stingy at all). BBQ wings: these were standard, good but nothing special. Carrot Cake: Tasty but a pretty small portion. Overall the pizza was the star and I will be a regular from now on when craving some!

I get their spaghetti and it is delicious. A nice large portion for an additional meal. It is my go to place for pasta now.

Everytime I have eaten the food it has been excellent. Food has been prepared well, service is also good just tried the dining in I must suggest that because I hate doing the dishes at the house. As far as ambiance I love all the Godfather pictures and memorabilia I feel like every sit in the restaurant has at least 1 view of at least 1 tv.

Pizza so yummy. Next I want to order the party size lol greasy and yummy. Customer service was great. The young lady that helped me this past Friday was friendly and helpful.

This pizza spot is the go-to for your late night cravings. My bf and I order here often and we love the quality and taste of their pizzas. We've tried just cheese, meat lovers, veggie, etc and have almost the same experience with all. All the toppings just slide right off! The flavor is there, but the process of eating the pizza is messy which isn't always fun.

First off, thank you Big E Pizza for being my late night hero's and taking care of my pizza cravings! The place is bigger than it looks! Service 10/10 I ordered online and made the mistake of getting a one topping pizza instead of two and when I called to fix my order the gentleman who worked picked up the phone was super accommodating and understanding. He fixed my ordered and I was able to pay the difference when I arrived to pick it up. Everyone who worked that evening so so nice! Even tho it was literally midnight they let me sit and eat in the dining area. And They Sell Beer!!!! Stick a fork in me.. I'm done! Open till 1am (sometimes even later), beer and pizza! This is now my pizza place. Ambience: 10/10 The decor and homage to the Godfather was amazing! I loved every piece they had hanging up. It really Gia you something to focus on and talk about while you wait for your food. Food: 6/10 The pizza was beyond words, so good! Cooked to pizza perfection! My only qualm was the cheese didn't have that ooey gooey stretch that I love, but that's completely a personal preference. Update: I went back again and tried the Home Alone Special which came with a personal pizza, small dinner salad, 6 wings and a large drink. Everything was great but the wings were.. severely lacking and over cooked. Definitely need some seasoning on there and many minutes less in the fryer. The ranch was decent but the blu cheese dressing was flavorless as well. I may give the wings another chance but I'd be afraid to waste my money again. Overall, I am definitely coming back again and again (for the pizza and beer)!

1st time - ordered small pizza 4 slices , pepperoni + jalapeño ~ $11 Just perfect. Really enjoyed. Wish I would have tried this place sooner.

The quality and freshness were outstanding. A type of mom and pop combination type of pizza place. The food was fresh. The service was outstanding and the ambience was welcoming. We ordered two pizzas and I cannot decide which one was more delicious. The wings extremely tasty. The cheese bread was even better than expected. Definitely would go again!! Everyone should support small businesses versus franchise Cookie cutter food. Plus the owner was even hands on picking up our dirty plates and getting us to go containers very authentically kind & welcoming.

Staying in the hotel adjacent to the restaurant. Needed something fast and convenient after 12 hours of travel so I gave it a try. Ordered a Special Deluxe pizza and Fettuccine Alfredo w/chicken for carry out. Servings were plenty and the flavor and quality very good. My only complaint is with the pizza...the crust was soggy and it was really messy. But, it was fresh, hot, and tasted great!

Big E's is a great pizza spot that offers not only pizza but a large variety of items. Besides pizzas, they have wings, salads, sandwiches, pastas, and even BBQ. They also have lunch specials and even desserts. Their pizzas are pretty good. I tried "The Works" which was their meat one and they did not skim on ingredients. It was really good. Their wings are also really good. I like to ask for them well done and they are always good and cooked perfectly. Pricing is a little high but quality is there. The last time I picked up I paid $73 for an XL pizza and 2 large orders of wings. The inside of this place is pretty large. They have a whole seating area. Parking is also easy since they have a lot right in front.

Once upon a time, this Faerie Queen needed Italian food. Nothing else would do! Big E's Pizza was the perfect venue for this craving. Pizza! Pasta! Salads! Calzone! Lasagna! Chicken! Ribs! They make it all here. We ordered the bbq chicken pizza, Greek salad, pasta with meatballs, and garlic bread. The chicken in the pizza was roasted perfectly. The pasta, especially the meatballs, were amazing! We all enjoyed the plentiful salad. The staff members are very friendly, too! This is an old favorite revisited. Seems this restaurant gets even better with age! The end.

This is probably the worst Italian food ever made. The pizza is garbage and the pasta dishes are worse.

FUGETABOUTIT! Yep forget about coming back to this place! Baked ziti was tasteless. Hot but tasteless including the meatballs and the heavy amount of cheese was a distraction - WARNING: you will get constipated lol Pizza crust was like cardboard and not hot and yes we arrived on time to pick up our order. Funny because the ziti was steaming but the pizza was lukewarm. Best thing was the tiramisu pie and the Crush strawberry soda! Oh and the antipasta salad was good. Safe to say, won't be returning. Plenty of better spots - in the LBC to grab better pizza , just better food. Period.

This review is for dining inside the restaurant! I am SO thankful me and my friends stumbled upon this restaurant! We were in town for a convention and staying at the hotel next door to this place. We were extremely hungry after our event and in the mood for Italian food so we decided to give this place a shot. We are so glad we did because the food, the DECOR and the employees were amazing. Everything tasted great and I loved the wise guy vibe in this place! So many great photographs and posters from all the famous mobster movies and even a picture of the Goodfella himself, Bobby DeNiro visiting the restaurant...FUGETTABOUTIT! This place will make you feel like a made guy or gal and the food is so good that it might even make you wanna join the mafia.

customer service is 10/10 Food 2/10 No seasoning, no salt very bland. Food was also cold they must pre-make lasagna then warm up in microwave for 2 minutes. Bread hard not hot & fresh . I cant believe how long they been in business food is terrible. Crazy part is I was staying at the hotel behind them and I kept smelling their food thinking it would be good until I ordered and wasted money.

Excellent delivery service! I was expecting a long wait! Ok NOW the pizza was exactly what I ordered delicious thick crust pepperoni, green peppers, tasty Italian sausage! Cheese was perfecto! I ordered a green salad as well... totally fresh crispy with tomatoes and mozzarella cheese on top just the way I like it! Came with good portion of dressing! Order taker was polite and to the point. He got it ALL Right.. and for being a first time customer?? You got me now! I'm telling family and friends about this place for sure! I WILL be back!

I just got my first order from here. Dude, the salad is legit. I think they made the dressing. The pizzas are dank too. The cheese is like real cheese. Like Goofy Movie cheese.

Man has this spot gone down the drain. The be order a few weeks ago and was really disappointed. I thought I'd give it another shot hoping it somebody had a bad day or maybe somebody was training but not the case. I placed an order for the family and the food has gotten worse. I had sausage size garlic cloves in my calzone. Maybe they were trying to substitute for the lack of sausage? The wings were hard, dry and unable to eat. Pizza was soggy and draped in sauce. Not to mention that the delivery charge was doubled and yes I tipped. Never again!! If anybody has any recommendations I'd appreciate it greatly.

This is the best pizza . I drove from norwalk to pick up a pie . Love the side of feta cheese to sprinkle on . This is better than pizzamania in whittier trust . The crust is amazing

Hmmm. We're always trying to find that best pizza, and all three of my kids and my wife all have a voice. Last week was Big E and though the flavors were good, (all cheese and sausage and pepperoni) the crust was soggy on both pies. Wtf! Sorry, that ain't going to fly.

One of the best places to get pizza for a large group. Crowd pleasing and won't break the budget. Some good pick up specials, or they do their own delivery. My team likes the Southwest pizza. I go for sausage or plain cheese. Lots of beverage options like two liter sodas, wine and beer. Large menu besides pizzas! Need to try some other things soon.

Awful delivery drivers. Awful customer service. Worst phone experience. Nothing like standing outside in the middle of the street for 12 minutes trying to explain where I am when the apartment complex is in the middle of the street. Literally had to walk two blocks up to 711 to try to show the driver where I was. Do not recommend unless you're picking up and want a mediocre pizza. Do not waste your time.

I've stayed at the nearby hotel twice now and this restaurant always has it smelling good outside. I decided to try this place and it was great! I ordered the Southwest pizza and it was very tasty. The staff was friendly and helpful too. Disclaimer, there are a million different combinations of pizza, endless topping combo, different thickness and ingredients of crusts, so on, so on. This place had more of a thick dough that I liked. Everyone has their preference. Just because this place doesn't have someone's personal preference doesn't mean it's bad. I will definitely come back when I return to Long Beach!

This is my 2nd review on Big E Pizza. They are lovely people! Every delivery is spot on, the food is always piping hot when it arrives at your door and the most important thing is, they truly care about what they are doing. It is obvious that they care about their customers. The food is good, and I want to thank all of the staff at Big E's for making things so special. Every single time. I always order the Greek salad and they do not hold back on their generous portion. If you are hungry, your leftovers should last a while. Just a great neighborhood place with a terrific staff.

Unfortunately the food was bad. The pizza was falling apart impossible to eat correctly . Hit wings were super salty the Chicken tasted old. The breadsticks were disappointing. My first and last time ordering from here

As far as mom and pop pizza, I've got to rave about big E. Not only did my family love the pizza but the Italian sandwich was hella delish. My Boyfriend said there could have been more meat in the Sammie, but my whole family said all the food we purchased was amazing. I recommend this for any occasion!

Awful!!! Got the dinner special. Pizza is too doughy with subpar flavor. Spaghetti is soggy noodles with generic marinara. I was hoping this was a hidden gem type smaller business. But Pizza Hut and Domino's are a thousand times better. Staff was nice. That's the only good thing about this joint.

I've ordered delivery many times from Big E, usually use their website online ordering, some reason on Oct 13 it wasn't working. I went through GrubHub. I ordered spaghetti and meatballs and a slice of Carrot Cake. I received spaghetti and sauce ( not even meat sauce, just sauce) no balls of meat. The slice of Carrot Cake was more of a sliver. Not happy I didn't receive my balls of meat. Very sad Friday night

The pizza was good, the price was fair. I think I just imagined the extra large a little bigger. I would definitely order again, keeping in mind to size up! The delivery guy was so sweet, he went above and beyond to get our pizza to us!

Hmm I am torn. The wings were great, like really good, but the pizza was subpar. 5 star wings, 2 star pizza. I am really confused by their "NYC/mafia" branding (or did I misinterpret that?) because the pizza is nothing like New York pizza. The pizza was just not good. I was pretty disappointed in that. I dunno, maybe there is a type of person who this kind of pizza appeals to. I got a slice of the cheesecake to try and it was fine. Sorry to say I'd only come back for the wings. There are many better pizza options around, and for much less money...
