The 15 Best Pizza Delivery Restaurants In Chicago

"Speaking of bars, this is drunk food at its finest. Big G’s offers the kind-of-weird-but-actually-pretty-good pizzas that sound like they were made using a Chopped basket, with options like BBQ beef and french fries, s’mores pizza, and mac and cheese. They’ll also deliver by the slice, so you don’t have to wake up and face the fact that you ordered a whole pizza topped with lasagna the night before." - adrian kane

Google
Best pizza in Wrigleyville and surrounding area! Pizza by the slice at a reasonable price, great people, too. The mac and cheese pizza was delicious!! Chicken penne pizza was delicious, too. Chocolate cheesecake on a stick was also a fun treat for dessert :)

James Risley

Google
Hands down best pizza in Chicago! Amazing service and the nicest staff! Be open to trying any slice, it won’t disappoint!

Josiah Garrett

Google
Best pizza spot within walking distance of Wrigley! Spent $11 on two specialty slices that were amazing!! The wait was 30 minutes which I personally approve of, it means our slices were being made to order. Most places just throw ingredients on top of a 6-hour old cheese slice and hit the oven for 5 minutes but these guys did it right. Customer service was great and pizza was great! Super vegetarian friendly which I appreciate - the Venus pizza with feta was DELICIOUS

Jim McCarthy

Google
Fun! And FABULOUS! Kudos to the owner, Jamie, for creating a unique, unforgettable pizza experience. Yes, there are many places to get pizza in our world. But Mac n Cheese pizza? Or Philly Cheese Steak pizza? The Veggie was great. As was the BBQ chicken. Life is full of hard choices. But choosing your pizza at Big G’s Pizza will be a delight.

Allison

Google
I LOVE big G’s pizza! The Mac and cheese is my favorite go to, but I love that they have a big variety and you never know what you’re going to get when you walk in. I don’t think we’ve had a pizza we haven’t liked. The service is always super friendly, and it is a LOT of pizza for the cost. My go-to rec for pizza in the Wrigley area.

Evan Shippee

Google
The pizza-by-the-slice is consistently great; they heat it quickly to get that slightly crisp, yet chewy, foldable NY crust. The slices are large - from a 20" pie. And the staff is friendly. An excellent NY-style pizza slice. I'll be back

Will KArls

Google
Quite possibly my favorite spot in all of Chicago. Not only is the pizza AMAZING (and reasonably priced for the portion sizes), but the staff is incredibly friendly. Come here often enough and you'll be recognized as a regular. Love this local business and the amazing employees who work here.

Google
Best recommendation for great pizzas. Added El Diablo sauce to my pepperoni pizza and it turned out super good! Honestly the hottest, most delicious sauce I've had in years! Great people and great vibes. Had to leave with 2 pieces of the hottest pizza ever 🔥🔥. Highly recommend and can't wait to come back!

James R.

Yelp
Overall great experience, delicious food and very nice staff! I recommend everything!

Yelp
I went down to check out Wrigley Field. I'm a Red Sox fan who thought it would be cool to see the only ballpark older than Fenway. Walking around the park I saw familiar names on the pavers. First Harry Carey, then Mark Grace, then Bill Buckner. Seriously, WTF Cubs? I thought we were brothers in suffering but apparently you hate us. Then I found Big G's and got a slice of Beef Stroganoff pizza and it completely redeemed the whole neighborhood. This place has great and inventive types of slices. Maybe next time I'll get the Chicken Parmigiana slice. Shout out to Brady Tkachuk, maybe he'd like it.

Yelp
Small pizza place by Wrigley Field. Pizza is pretty good being we're from New York area and are usually wary of pizza outside our area. Had a ton of specialty pizzas. The person working was friendly and answered all our questions. The cheesesteak pizza was my favorite! Mac and cheese pizza also had a good amount of cheese which made it better than other places I've had Mac and cheese pizza at.

Alejandra G.

Yelp
Very delicious!! Loved the crust loved the sauce loved the cheese! The person working behind the counter was also very kind. And pizza was still just as good cold the next day. Loved it. Perfect drunk food or sober food lol

Yelp
Garlic knots are absolutely gas here at big G's. Satisfied my essential garlic knot craving and would come back 100x!!!! Xoxo

Sammy L.

Yelp
Love big gs. They have so many unique toppings for their pizza but honestly their pepperoni is amazing if you don't like all the extras. Only a few places in Chicago serve New York style slices and this is one of them. They're open late and perfect for after a baseball game or after bar crawling in wrigley. The owner is super cool too and if you come enough you'll end up on the wall .

Laura R.

Yelp
A great variety of toppings and combinations, sold by the pie or slice. The garlic knots and house-made ranch are delicious. Super friendly staff.
google avatar

Jack H.

Yelp
They're not open for quite as many hours as they used to be, but the pizza is good forever.
google avatar

Shahrooz E.

Yelp
I was really impressed. Lots of unique pizza combinations like the Philly Cheesesteak and the Chicken Parmigiana and Macaroni & Cheese. Each one does a great job of putting your favorite meal on a nice chewy and yeast-flavored pizza dough. I placed my order through yelp and it was ready earlier then expected and they did exactly what I wanted which was to cook the pizzas longer so they'd be extra crispy. I'll be honest... it smelled so good, I could wait the 10mins to get home and had to have some right there lol.

Yelp
Big G's Pizza gives me flashbacks of my college days! I know Chicago has a lot of great pizza places but only a few offer a diverse selection of gourmet slices and a monthly specialty pizza slice. I first discovered Big G's Pizza after a night out, I feel like this is probably how most people find out about the restaurant. I have been to Big G's Pizza way too many times that I can count and I have not been disappointed. The pizza slices are a nice size, you can easily get by with just one, and they offer a variety of gourmet slices. The prices are reasonable especially for a place so close to Wrigley Field and busy bars. I really like that even though Big G's Pizza is closer to Wrigley Field they don't focus on having a fancy dinning area and keep the place looking like a classic hole in the wall pizza joint. They have a lot of cool murals around the restaurant and highlight valued customers by posting pictures of them on the walls. I would highly recommend checking out Big G's Pizza if you are looking a NY Style slice of pizza.

Yelp
Big G's has been here a minute. At least since before all the new businesses moved in. Back when people hit bars for beers and drunks walked the streets seeking food till 4 am.. Ahh, gone are those good ol' days. (Wrigleyville was a different drunken scene a decade ago. More fun and higher populations. Drunken douchebags aside.) Aside from Dimo's, this is that other thin crust pizza joint in Wrigleyville offering specialty slices. All those crazy slice offerings like mac n' cheese, taco something, pulled pork, etc. It's not the cleanest place nor are their employees following all the rules of cleanliness but, when you feel like a tasty slice with a drink.. there ya go. Nowadays depending on how busy the night is, there are times I've passed by and found them closed or just unwilling to answer the phone despite posted hours of operation.** There are times of great slices and there are times they don't look very appetizing. The slices on display can look quite unappealing at Midnight and there after. As far as my preferences, I am slice specific nowadays. A good cheese or 1-2 topping with ample red sauce is what I am most hungry for. If I don't see a good one, I'll bail. Until recently when on a whim I decided to order a full pie. Holy crap.. the full pie was EXCELLENT! Not like, I'm drunk wow this is so good excellent. Like; wait, I'm sober and this actually tastes reasonably good. And to think it only took some many years and terrible looking display slices to force me to buy a whole pie.. Hmm. The best part, compared to the per slice it makes the best sense to order a full. Note: When storing. Leave'em in the freezer. I've found that when these slices are heated at 350F in an oven for some ten or so minutes, they come out perfect.

Yelp
Doesn't get much better than Big G's! The pies are as delicious as they are creative. Whether you pop in for a slice (or two) to go, or stay a while (BYOB!), or enjoy it for delivery (which I did last night), you cannot go wrong. Mac and Cheese pizza is fire! And the wings are an underrated beauty. Right across from Wrigley Field. Excellent life decision to try it!

Yelp
Came in when wandering around the neighborhood recently, and I really want to give it more stars...but the fact they didn't have gloves on, no heat lamps under food, and other general dirtiness in the kitchen area, I couldn't give more stars. I will say the slice I had was okay. I got one of their specialty slices, hamburger and pepperoni. Which has ground beef that is seasoned and pepperoni. As I said, the pizza wasnt bad, but the crust was like eating rubber if it were crunchy. Overall not a great experience, but if in the area and willing to overlook some quirks, you're guaranteed to find something you like. Also, prices are solid, as a large slice and drink was $6.75, so not bad for being a block from Wrigley.

Yelp
My friend and I stopped at Big G's for New York Style pizza. He's from Queens, New York. I had a BBQ chicken pizza and pepperoni pizza. It is sold by the slice. I was hoping for a sausage slice but didn't have any more at the time. They did have some interesting toppings: Maccaroni & Cheese and some kind of Thanksgiving Dinner slice. I asked my friend if this was a common thing in New York and he said Yes. I would recommend going to Big G's but perhaps earlier in the day so that you have more options to choose from. The slices were Good so my rating is based on availability of toppings at the time. If there was a higher rating, I would give it a 3.5 star. As always, I hope it helps. Check it out for yourself and form your own opinion.
google avatar

Christina S.

Yelp
I ordered delivery recently and the pizza crust and sauce were delicious. I wish there had been more toppings. The toppings seemed "spread out" which means there were gaps. I would order again. Delivery was super fast.
google avatar

Natanael M.

Yelp
Big G's Pizza is hands down the best pizza in Wrigglyville. When it comes to flavor, price, portions and atmosphere, this pizza place really knocks it out of the park (pun intended). Great place to grab a slice with friends as you'll have a ton of great tasting well thought out taste options with fresh ingredients including an exceptional hand tossed crust that holds up to the taste bud popping toppings. Also friendly staff and great customer service if you need help choosing a slice or ordering a whole pizza.
google avatar

Kelly H.

Yelp
After ordering here for years it seems like the quality has gone downhill, but this isn't even edible.

Nicole L.

Yelp
OMG excellent NY pizza! We got a large cheese pie, the best way to determine whether a pizza is good is to taste the actual pizza. And this one was great! And it passed the NYC "flop test" with flying colors. Bonus is that the owner is a really friendly, nice guy! Double bonus is it is BYOB so if you need to eat your pizza out of the oven hot like we do, just bring a couple of beers and sit down.

Yelp
In a pinch before a show at the Metro next door my husband and I came in for a couple of quick slices. They didn't offer up the best pizza I've ever had but for a very quick bite they certainly got the job done. I think I was more impressed with my pepperoni that my husband was with his sausage, but we both found them satisfying. They're well known for their mac and cheese pizza, and I remember when they opened with that almost a decade ago when I lived in Chicago, so perhaps that's worth trying in the future. Service was friendly and the seating was fine for a quick in and out meal. Not a remarkable experience but very serviceable and the perfect place for a quick bite if you need sustenance before a show or a baseball game up the street.
google avatar

Ashley B.

Yelp
Good place to go when you're drunk and want pizza by the slice. I am usually committed to Dimo's but didn't want to walk all the way down there. I was happy with his place and their ranch is very delicious.

Carey H.

Yelp
I'd like to give a big shout out to Big G's Pizza in Tampa FL. The pizza is amazing and they have so many selections. I usually order a large amount of pizza's when I'm in the area to take into my customers. As a outside sales rep I look for quality and value for my customers. The staff at Big G's are always friendly and take care of my orders quickly. You can count on them each and every time.
google avatar

Corinne C.

Yelp
I think this is the best pizza in Chicago! Yes, better than deep dish. The quality of the NY style crust and sauce is always perfect -- crispy, not too oily or sugary. A large size feeds a deceivingly large amount of people. Even a pepperoni pizza tastes fantastic, and I nearly devoured a whole large pizza the first time I tasted it. Love a pepperoni and garlic combo (pictured). I buy this pizza for my out of town guests and they love it. Staff is always friendly and at this point recognize me by face and name. Highly recommend, and you are supporting local while you order!
google avatar

Rob H.

Yelp
You can never go wrong with Mac and cheese Pizza. It was obviously delish! However can't really say the same for the funnel cake fries and Nutella bombs they were ehh mediocre. But I still come back here often only for the Mac and cheese Pizza it really is that good. The delivery service is always quick and fast.
google avatar

Simon L.

Yelp
Unfortunately, the kid serving our pizza was grabbing it with his bare hands (no gloves or tongs). It was pretty gross :( and I did not have time to react. He was picking up the phone and using the cash register in between doing so as well. It all felt pretty unsanitary. We resorted to cutting off the crust he grabbed when we got home.
google avatar

Peter F.

Yelp
I've lived in New York. I've traveled to Italy. This is the third-best pizza I've ever had. The lasagna pizza is a borderline religious experience, and Ali says the s'mores pizza gave her an orgasm.
google avatar

Ranillo R.

Yelp
Wanted to get pizza before the Cubs game and found this hole in a wall pizza place. They had the typical simple pizzas like cheese, sausage, etc and they had some unique creations too. I tried the Philly cheese steak pizza and it was amazing. The pizza slice was large with a generous amount of toppings and cheese. I really liked the crust and pizza dough. It was cooked to perfection. They do offer pizza by the slice and their speciality prices were a little pricey around $4.75, but the pizza was really good. Hope to come back again soon!
google avatar

Lisa N.

Yelp
Popped in after a Cubs game for a quick bite... cause, ya know, those footlong hotdogs in the stadium weren't quite enough junk food. ;-) Big G's is an awesome, local pizza joint with your tradition pizzas, but most notably, their non-traditional. We got a pizza with potato and bacon- mmmm, very filling. Cheap, easy, no-frills eat. Not easy to find in Wrigleyville- but we are happy we popped in!
google avatar

Paul T.

Yelp
I love this place! I have ordered the pizza, garlic knots, and the smore ravioli. They do crazy pizza's! I haven't tried them yet but their regular pizza is so good! Its my favorite in the Lakeview area. I always look forward to pizza night at my house, because this is where I am going.
google avatar

Derek L.

Yelp
Called to place an order. The person answered and hung up before I could speak. I called back and they did it again. So I waited a minute and called again. This time I got the voice mail. They don't like selling pizza there I guess.
google avatar

Amanda M.

Yelp
Holy smokes, I was not prepared! First off, for new customer's ... pizza is massive so I would personally order leas than normal. Second, it's so good! We ordered the Savage grand slam and cheese curds. All was excellent and on time. Not to mention, who doesn't love a local business that promotes donating to our community in need! We will absolutely back!

Max R.

Yelp
I Love me some big Gs especially after a metro show. I wouldn't personally buy a whole za but slice is the way to go

R L.

Yelp
Best Pizza Place in Chicago!!!!! Hyde Park needs one!!!! So Good!!!! The pepperoni slice is the best!!!!
google avatar

Cynthia M.

Yelp
We ordered a huge slice of the Mac & cheese pizza. It's cold looking in the display case and the staff warms it up. Delicious and extremely obey gooey oily hole in the wall pizza. Try the sloppy Joe pizza, chicken and waffles pizza, lasagna marinara Pizza and so much more including desert which includes the funnel cake fries!! A place to stop by next door to Wrigley field.
google avatar

The FoodBoss ..

Yelp
Walked in before the Cubs home opener game. I've heard Mr G's Mac and cheese pizza was the best in Chicago So I had to check it out while had the chance. Off the bat right when I walked in I didn't not feel welcomed at all Hispanic guy at counter has horrible customer service! Now back to the pizza. Mac and cheese was the best Mac and cheese slice I've had but like most Mac and cheese pizza it's was a little bland...I add little bit of garlic salt made a big difference. The cheese pizza was basic nothing special would not recommend! The Mac and Cheese is definitely a must try if ur in WrigleyVille.
google avatar

Stephanie G.

Yelp
I love stopping by this place after a show a few doors down at Metro. Pizza by the slice! A little more expensive than you'd pay elsewhere for a single slice, but with the toppings, it's more than worth it. They usually have maybe 7 or 8 options of unique pizza topping combos to choose from that change depending on the day. I loooove the mac & cheese pizza. As with any pizza by the slice spot, some of the slices have been sitting out for awhile. They still taste good to me so that's not a deterrent at all, but if you're not into that kind of thing, ask which pizza is freshest or just order your own full pizza. I'm out of their delivery zone so I'd never ordered delivery here, but a few weeks ago I was in Lakeview we got a pepperoni pizza delivered. I'd never had just a regular pizza there, usually I order the stuff with the craziest ingredients -- but this was ridiiiiiculously good and the delivery came super fast. It's a little greasy but that's the way I like it. Last time I was at this place they were playing the OJ documentary on the television, and the entire place was silent because everyone was so engaged with it. I think I stayed an extra half hour after I finished my pizza to finish the doc and they didn't kick me out, so kudos to them!
google avatar

Rodrigo S.

Yelp
That pizza that you love! It was late Sunday when we decided to eat some pizza at Big G's, just because it was on our way. We never heard about them. If wasn't for the calories that a pizza has, I'd say that it was one of the best food orgasm in my life. I don't know how to describe. Their pizza is just good, period.
google avatar

Caroline R.

Yelp
This is my first time trying the pizza even though I pass by the place every day- I've never been a fan of Dimos sadly. I got the El Diablo because I definitely enjoy a good spice challenge and it didn't disappoint. Not too spicy that I didn't enjoy the flavors, but definitely had my sweating. Excited to try more flavors!
google avatar

Alison M.

Yelp
After passing Big G's multiple times over the past few years, I decided it was time to stop in and see what it was all about. There aren't a ton of NY style pizza places in the city and this one does not disappoint. Their garlic knots are super tender and tasty, enough garlic to leave you wanting more but not a disgusting breath after. The pizza itself was cooked well, not soft but not over crisped, was easily foldable which is key with NY style. Their blueberry lemon cookie sealed the deal with the meal. All in all a great place that I will definitely be ordering from again soon

Bryton B.

Yelp
Absolutely love there pizza but weren't open on international Pizza day . My heart and stomach are empty
google avatar

Jen P.

Yelp
This place is delicious! Also open until 5am, say what?? I went straight to 3rd base & had the Peruvian & 3 veggie!! It's a neighborhood pizza place! Right around from Wrigley Field.
google avatar

Kim E.

Yelp
I was on my way to yakzies to meet up with some friends on St. Paddys and I was like wow I need a snack. I just happened to be passing this place. It seemed unassuming and like it would be a quick fix for my impending hangery attitude. I was right! Big G's is a super underrated spot. The slices are big with a wide variety of toppings. They really have a unique selection like tortellini! I had stopped here for a slice on St. Paddys day weekend and even though the place was super busy the customer service was great and it was quick. I can't wait to stop back here on a planned trip there. Whether you're looking for a whole pizza or just a drunk slice, this is an amazing place to stop by.

Jessie E.

Yelp
A delightful offering of both veg & non-veg pizzas. The Mac & cheese slice turned my frown upside down and the house ranch brought a tear to my eye, receiving a 10/10 in both flavor and viscosity. Seriously, do not sleep on the sauces.
google avatar

J.M S.

Yelp
If you're looking for a great slice, Big Gs will deliver! Or you can pick up - but beware, you may be tempted by the zza in the case, and bring home more than you planned.
google avatar

Chuck S.

Yelp
Cant say I have ever been here after a night of drinking. Look for what it is worth, it's good. Cheap(ish) slices with different but great toppings late at night. The pizza is good, I think osmeo f them I might enjoy sober. Just know a few things before you go: 1. It's wrigleyville 2. There are going to be drunkin douche's there 3. You Will Burn the top of your mouth, it's just going to happen 4. Someone will do something you will laugh at 5. You will leave feeling good and had carbs to suck up the alcohol Service is good, workers are awesome for keeping their cool with the location they are at and drunkin idiots.
google avatar

Matt S.

Yelp
Great Pizza ! The Mac and cheese was phenomenal and the savage was also a great take on bbq chicken pizza but with pork and mini onion rings on top instead!
google avatar

Raleigh M.

Yelp
Cheap eats in Wrigleyville do exist!!! Why settle for a hot dog when you can have a big ol slice of Mac N Cheese Pizza instead! After a concert, game, or walk around town, this place always hits the spot
google avatar

Andrew D.

Yelp
Didn't expect it but, Big G's Pizza was truly impressive. There's a great ambiance to it. I have ordered few dishes off the menu, and all of them were fantastic, especially Big G's Mac N Cheese Pizza. Crew is incredibly helpful and can help you with everything. Sometimes things are just done right.
google avatar

Daniel M.

Yelp
Used to order from here all the time. Ordered a cheese pizza, and it was cold, and the cheese was stuck to the box. Spoke to the owner to figure out if they could replace the pizza, or something, but ignored me instead, and blamed it on me. Owner doesn't care for loyal customers.
google avatar

Yelp
Big G's is an unrecognized gem in the shadow of Dimos. Though, in truth, it is far better. As you take your first bite, you taste the amazing grease against your tongue. This is of a great benefit to the eater, as Chicago weather can be nippy. Not only does it work as a chapstick, but a full belly will help keep you warm. The cheese of the first bite meshes wonderfully with the perfect crispy point of the pizza, as you experience true bliss. Feeling frisky? They've got plenty of artisanal toppings for you to tickle your fansies with. The decor is young and funky, but they play music throughout the decades. It is the perfect mix to make it comfortable for all age groups, and ultimately a timeless pizza parlor. Furthermore and additionally, also, on serious note, Big G's is definitely worth a visit. Great food, great staff, great atmosphere, and a 10/10 reccommend.
