Big Kat Burgers @Crystal Springs Hideaway

I had high expectations based on all the reviews. The service was ok but if you are a newbie to the establishment signage would be great. Now let's talk food for the price I paid it was an utter disappointment. I should have went up the road to Griff's & received more bang for my buck. Don't get me wrong I will pay for quality food & that is not what I received at Big Kat Burger. I paid for extra veggies and was served the ends of tomatoes, no extra anything on all 3 burgers, the fries were old & cold, buns not grilled, but the patty itself was flavorful Maybe I went on a bad night, but running an establishment every night should be a good night.

Absolutely love this place. Servers are excellent and so is the Bartender Max. If you want a great burger or a nice charcuterie board this is the place to be. Also love the bottle Cap Jalapenos.

Neat place everyone super nice. Burgers are good. Can't wait to try cheese and meat board next time.

Bob helped us navigate the Charcuterie options like a pro. Convincing me to go the Build Your Own route. I come here about once or twice a month and the food is delicious. It is open seating, so find your own table! All said and done, I would definitely recommend this place should you be feeling like a drink or burger. But my favorite will always be the charcuterie! Be aware that they often have live music during dinner service.

I can say this is one of the best burger food trucks I have experienced, well really the only food truck, with everything going on in the world as of now I’ve been afraid but I haven’t had a good burger in awhile. The atmosphere, service, people waiting just friendly. I ordered the Mushroom Bacon Swiss (fresh, seasoned, juicy, I’m sorry I didn’t post a before but yes indeed). My husband ordered The Brute and my son ordered The Veggie Kat. Cute at atmosphere. You guys did that! Recommendations (bib), lol. Yes I was impressed. UPDATE: I am so disappointed with this new location. I have to agree with Anita. I have never had to walk out of a restaurant before. I was so excited and ready to eat but the service personnel just walked and overlooked us but that’s ok my higher power has me covered so I left out. I rather not eat at an establishment that makes you feel as if you are just an empty picnic table. Please keep everyone updated once you bring the food truck back. Thanks 4/18/2025

This place seriously has the best burgers ever. They’re expensive as hell but I’ll pay the price for these burgers. My dad got the Southwest Salad and it was huge! Everything in it looked so fresh. The burgers here neverrrrrr miss. The brute is my absolute favorite. The jam on it with the cream cheese & jalapeños are just the most perfect pairing ever. They now are located at The Hideaway instead of the food truck now and the place is so fun. This place is so much fun at night with the lights lit up and scenery. I’ve tried many many burger places & I can assure you this one is #1.

We came here for the first time today. Darrell likes to play this game called can you guess where we are going to eat? I get three guesses and then I ‘m out if I don’t guess right. So today was no different. Except this was a food truck. It only sold burgers and fries! With that being said OMG WHAT A CHEESEBURGER! We both had the Classic Kat cheeseburger trust me this wasn’t made with cheap meat it was fat and juicy I had mayo on mine and I wasn’t struggling to find the mayo it was great! The veggies were fresh and it wasn’t smothered in lettuce just perfect! It was good and hot it was so hot it burned my lip just the way I like it! Cannot stand a cold burger that doesn’t melt the cheese! They layered it correctly so the veggies were not wilted! The cheese was melted to perfection not just limp like most burgers. Darrell had mustard and ketchup eewww lol! The burgers are huge and stayed hot till the last delectable bite! The fries are fresh cut crispy on the outside and soft and tender on the inside. I am not a fry eater but these were fresh and hot and they also stayed hot and were absolutely delicious! The meat was so flavorful and cooked to perfection not dry and burnt! The edges of the burgers were a crispy delight! The buns were fresh and soft and grilled perfectly! The bun was not too small . You know you get burgers that are so much bigger than the buns or the buns are so big you have more bread than meat! These were perfect, The area around the truck was neat and clean no trash anywhere loved everything about this place! The young lady that took our order had a smile as bright as the sunshine today! This a wonderful little burger truck! We will be back for sure!

My favorite burger joint! Food is so good. Beer is so good and The people that work here are awesome And I love the outdoor seating.

Took a long time to get waited on. A long time to get food. Order was wrong when it arrived and it apparently was put at the end of the queue again to fix. We won't return and recommend avoiding it if you want decent service.

Well it's late afternoon on Mother's Day, so we decided to celebrate somewhere new to us. CSH did not disappoint! We found the parking to be plentiful as we headed indoors to the delicious aroma of a bakery shop--here we found the Wine & Cheese section as someone promptly took us to our outdoor seating in the back courtyard. The cool breeze felt great underneath the trees and as a bonus, we could see the big screen tv in the bandshell as the Stars played. Our friendly server(wish I could have gotten his name) kindly welcomed us and took our order of beer and food. Mom had the Southwest Grilled Chicken salad and I had the BigKat Tiki burger. Plenty of selections on both drink and food menus. It seemed like it was only minutes before our dinner was served! The beer came out in ice cold mugs and the food was piping hot. This was my first BigKat burger and it was full of culinary surprises--big juicy beef patty with a tangy grilled pineapple slice and just the right amount of jalapeño spice. On the side was an ample amount of tater tots and washed it all down with a Manhattan Project Half Life hazy boi. The wife devoured the delicious guacamole and diced red peppers in her salad. Most of all, we really enjoyed the Fort Worth vibe --laid back and enjoyable. We'll definitely be back with friends.

New place for us and close by. Sat inside since too hot out. Good hamburgers. Smaller bun than usual with 3 oz smashed meat which was perfect for us. I had tater tots and hubby fries. It's loud inside with people enjoying their early evening beer/wine. Will be back!

Love this place. Walked in and we were immediately greeted by chief Kelly who explained the wine/charcuterie process. She was awesome! Sat down and our server Cass was prompt to help us with our questions. We created our own board and picked our wine. Chief Kelly prepared our board and brought it to us. Everything was very tasty..especially the ciabatta bread with everything on our board. Cass constantly checked on us. Will definitely be back.

Small parking lot but look for signs for additional spots. I was there on a Sunday around 12:30 and it was not crowded. There's a small bar in front with a few beers; more, including some local crafts beers, can be found in the bar across the wooded patio. I only had a beer; the food I saw looked tasty. I attached pictures of the menu. They have live music and special events; check their socials for dates!

I was super impressed with Crystal Springs! I met some girlfriends after work around 4:30 and was able to snag parking right up front. There was plenty of outdoor seating and we took advantage of the weather and live music by sitting outside. The espresso martini was strong - and without cream - which is my preference. It was dusted with cocoa powder on the rim and it was heavenly. I would come back just for this drink. My friend ordered apps - corn dip and fried jalapeños. Both were good but not stand out. My burger- The Brute- was amazing though. The flavors worked so well together and the whole thing was gone in ten minutes. Service was extremely slow. We couldn't find our server a lot of the time and it felt like she was always across the patio and not attentive when we needed her. We had to flag down another server to put our food order in. My friend said this kind of service has been consistent each time she has visited. So many they need more staff or some additional training? All in all, it was a great night and I will be back!

Stopped in during dinner time on a Friday. Has a relaxed very chill atmosphere. Has indoors eating as well as outside. They had someone playing music. It was very nice hangout spot. Tried the cowboy caviar which we enjoyed very much. I had the deluxe chicken sandwich which I enjoyed very much. My husband tried the big kat burger which he loved. They do have brunch and a variation of cheeseboards which I do plan on returning to try. They also have a good variety of beer and wine and liquor.

Okay! Talk about kicking off 2025 Yelp Year with a bang I just found another gem riight down the street from my house and I could tell from just one visit I'm going to be a regular at this awesome place! I saw that they were building something in this space that's been empty for a long time and I got excited hoping for exactly this kind of place and let me tell you Crystal Springs hideaway does not disappoint, The interior is beautiful with Hardwoods and very nice furniture, the bars are absolutely great. There is a big covered and heated patio on the side of the building and a very large outside seating area in the back which has it's own awesome little bar down at the bottom with 25 beers on tap! Yes you read that right 25! Also out back is a little cubby area where they will have live music soon and I'm looking forward to that. When you first walk in the first thing you'll see is an amazing selection of wine and a really cool charcuterie station where you can order a variety of different charcuterie to go with the selection of wine they offer. The Main Kitchen is run by Big Kat burgers which made a name for themselves with their burger food truck and l gotta say these burgers are super delicious! This is a local family-owned business and they are so nice and welcoming, the service so friendly and quick as well. Don't walk, run to go check out Crystal Springs Hideaway ASAP! I'll definitely be back very soon!

Checked out Crystal Springs Hideaway during their soft opening in Fort Worth and was pleasantly surprised! This new spot combines a beer garden with an impressive cheese and wine shop concept. The draft beer selection is solid. They've got a great mix of Texas craft beers (eg Community and Karbach) alongside familiar domestics. The cocktail menu is standard. Looking forward to their Ranch Water on a warm day. The highlight was definitely their cheese and wine shoppe concept. You can build your own boards with various meats and cheeses, which is a fun interactive experience. The Italian board ($30) was beautifully presented with pecorino, prosciutto, and all the fixings. The wine selection is extensive with over 135 labels available. Atmosphere-wise, it's got that classic Texas beer garden feel with a nice balance of indoor/outdoor space. The converted bungalow gives it character. Parking was a small hastle given the big crowd for the openi g. Will definitely be back to try their brunch. Bagel and Lox board looks stellar. Pro tip: Check out their wine shop inside for bottles to take home.

Cool outdoor spot. Beer garden with a wide selection of local brews, solid burgers, fries, and tasty tater tots. Fun vibe and predictably, patience is required when ordering.

Went with coworkers for an after work happy hour. It was a gorgeous 80 degree day and their patio out back was perfect! Quick and friendly service. Menu choices for all types of audiences. We shared the corn dip and it was phenomenal. I also split the southwest chicken salad with a colleague and it was really good. The Texas cavier on it was a great added touch. Really enjoyed our time here and look forward to coming back to try more.

I feel like this isn't going to be a hideaway for long... It's clear-cut that this is a winning spot for a hang, beer, cocktail, wine, cheeseboard, burger or all of the above! The vibe is super casual. It's great for watching a game or visiting with loved ones. It's an even bigger bonus that it's dog friendly so everyone in the family can enjoy the day out. :D We can't wait to have another day there soon!

This place doesn't look like much from the outside, but the inside is great!! There are apparently two businesses run under the same roof-one is a wine/charcuterie type place and the other is a burger shop. When you eat, you can order from both places with one server There's two huge areas outside, half covered, half open to air. We got the brute-forgot to take a picture-but it's easily one of the best burgers I've ever had! Fries were also good. We had to eat and run but plan to go back and explore the menu more!

New spot where big cat is now. Great burgers and a good vegetarian option. Tasty French fries. And now within a beer garden that has a full bar, cocktails on tap, wine on tap, and a good beer selection.

Terrible....went for burger week and they stop serving the burger at 5:00pm. No other burger week restaurant does this! Stay away!

Great beer selection, they have good burgers from Black cat. The outside looks like a nice outdoor picnic area. No tvs its mainly outdoors but the bar on the outside has a few. Only took a few photos but i do not recommend getting the expresso martini it was not good at all

The food is overpriced and not high quality. The wait staff (Jane) is salty and could use some coaching. The wait staff literally told us we could refill our own waters and pointed in the direction to do so. How about this...refill the water and then say "if I am not back in time, you can also use our waterfilling station." Corn dip- premade, cold, not a ton of flavor. Grilled Cheese- burnt Lil Smash Burger- dry as beef jerky. The abundance of mayo and ketchup couldn't even help. The atmosphere is incredible. but unfortunatly is not set up for Texas summers. I really wanted to like this place. On a 1-10 scale, I was the highest vote in our group at a 5. Best of luck, but I can't see coming back.

This place is off the beaten path, but so worth the trip! The vibe is so great here, you just want to stay & enjoy for a while. Everyone is so friendly & the food & drinks were excellent! We started with the corn dip appetizer along with a ranch water and beer 12/10! So good! Then we split the Big Kat burger. Equally as delicious! We went on the 4th of July so they had limited hours, but we're already looking forward to going on a regular day very soon. We loved Crystal Springs Hideaway!

What an absolute blast. We have been for both lunch and dinner. My kids love the food. I like the food and drinks. Food choices are limited- the food they do offer is fantastic. It is not exactly kid friendly- it's not kid adverse. I would just recommend if you can leaving the kids at home. Our favourite waiter is Cesar, he knocks it out of the park on every visit! The wait staff is overall a 4 out of 5. We've only had one bad waitress. The Ranch Water here is almost as good as mine at home. Drink prices are very fair for Fort Worth, and the food prices are not out of line. I highly recommend a visit. Parking can be a bit overwhelming at times.

Our daughter lives across the street from this establishment. Just opened a few weeks ago, but very popular among the local residents. The things we've tried have been so delicious and the beverages were served cold and in frosty mugs. We sat outside on this warm day, with fun music and great atmosphere.

Just discovered this place. Great local spot. Lots of beer on tap and large selection of wine by the bottle. Outdoor and indoor seating and dog friendly. Bob, Wrigley, and Cody made us an amazing charcuterie. Parking is tight cause it's a popular place.

Love love LOVE the atmosphere, music, drinks, and especially the cheese boards (and the burgers are even better) Great for any season as well with both inside and outside seatingnot many restaurants exist in this area that have what this place has to offer - great addition to the neighborhood!

This place truly is a hidden gem! Beautiful beer garden, charcuterie boards & burgers. Plus full bar with reasonable prices. I had an espresso martini & it was one of the best I've ever had. Big shout out to Arnold the bartender. The owners JD & Shanna are simply amazing, warm & kind. Don't miss out on ordering a burger either. Big Kats has one of the best burgers in Fort Worth. I will definitely be back.

We had a great lunch at this hidden gem! The atmosphere was really cute and the Big Kat burgers were fantastic. I can't wait to come back and do the wine and cheese option!

Food was great. Their BLT will ruin other BLTs for you. Wait staff is very nice and accommodating.

We went to Crystal Springs Hideaway for my daughter's birthday celebration. We went on a hot Sunday afternoon in July. They said they had an air conditioned patio. It was more like a swamp cooler and the room was very hot. We ordered burgers and drinks. I got the chicken sandwich for $15 thinking it would be a grilled chicken breast. It appeared to be ground chicken. I asked for no cheese, pickles or ranch dressing because of allergies and asked for avocado. They charged me $2 for the avocado which was not slices but guac. They also charged me .25 for pickles on my daughter's burger. My daughter ordered sweet tea for $2.50. They asked if she wanted a refill and she said yes. They charged another $2.50 for the refill. The total was $119.00 before tax and tip for burgers for 5 people, $152.57 altogether. I thought the food was mediocre at best. The service was fine although we had already gotten our own water (since it was so hot) before he showed up. I will not be going back. This is a place that is for the well-to-do to slum it in a hot room on skinny picnic tables.

I came with a group of six. The ambiance overall was fun, live band, outside bar, cheese bar with wine selection. However- in the middle of the outside section is a fire pit that was blowing in our faces and making our eyes water.. etc. so we simply asked our waitress if we could be moved. She got the manager/owner. His exact words to us after asking if something can be done with the fire (add water to it- put it out)... considering we weren't the first to complain. Owners exact words, "what do you want me to do? Touch a hot fire?" Sorry but that is very poor communication.

First visit yesterday and we loved it. Great burgers, cheese plates. The patio is super inviting with an outdoor bar and tvs. There are warmers and fire pits for decently cold weather days as well

good selection of beers. its a nice outdoor hangout if the weather is nice at night. However, the prices on Appetizers are way to much money and really small for what they charge and not very good. burgers were extremely small and way overpriced. if your a man you'll leave hungry after you pay $20.00. I won't go back for the food. I might go back for drinks and some cornhole but definitely not the food that was really disappointing.

We had a very unfortunate experience here today. We were one of the first groups to arrive and sit on the patio. All children in our party were behaving appropriately. Our waitress immediately told us they are phasing out the kids menu and are no longer looking to welcome families with young children. Later on throughout the meal, a waitress made a rude comment about our children's hair and skin color. I question whether they were intentionally being inappropriate in effort to keep us from coming back. We were excited to have this new spot in the area, but unfortunately we will not be returning.
