Big Kid Ice Cream - Review - Soho - London - The Infatuation

"Soho is filled with excellent ice cream shops, and sometimes you might want something a little more exciting than your regular chocolate scoop. At least that’s what we imagine the thought process was behind this Carnaby ice cream hatch that’s known for its quirky flavours like peanut butter wasabi or Marmite on toast. The concept is fun and the flavour combinations are intriguing, but the ones we’ve tried have fallen a little short. The peanut butter and wasabi is fun to taste but lacks the creamy texture we look for in an ice cream, and finishing an entire scoop of this spicy, salty ice cream leans more challenge than enjoyable dessert. If you do come, sharing with whoever you’re with is the move. Although the flavours aren’t very well balanced, you’re more here to try something you can’t—and probably won’t want to—find anywhere else." - Rianne Shlebak

I visit this place everytime I’m in London for work. Service is always with a smile, sometimes there’s a queue but it never takes long. The flavours are the best you can find, no basics 💅 I wasn’t in London around Halloween, so I’m really pleased they offered a special delivery service for some at home tubs. A taste of London 100 miles away. I’ll be ordering again if they do at special drop again, and hopefully will be back to see what’s happening for Christmas 🤞

Been meaning to try this place for a while because I loved the uniqueness of the flavours 🍦 I got the olive oil with baklava and the new Charlie Bucket halloween flavour. The creativity didn’t take away from the quality at all and they were both delicious with a good amount of baklava/biscuit in. Whilst the prices are very central London, i’d say you get a generous scoop compared to some other places & I wouldn’t be mad at going back to try more flavours. I was served by Iliya who was really lovely - very patient & helpful - thank you :)

Delicious black sesame & Oreo ice cream. Not too sweet, a slight savoriness, and some crunch from the Oreo. Lovely service, can try all you want before making a decision. A bit pricey but to be expected

This place is so fun and it takes such a creative approach to ice cream. I think it’s absolutely fab and I would really recommend coming here to add a fun twist on the more traditional flavours. The staff were also really kind and the service was great. Really feel like a big kid again ;)

I love my ice cream, so I had to try Big Kid. The flavours are really fun and live up to the playfulness of ingredients. I had the wasabi peanut butter, that a real kick and great texture, along with the Ube blueberry muffin, which was epic! The team there were SO lovely too and swapped stickers to sit on my fridge freezer along with other incredible food & drink friends. Go check it out come rain or shine. Thanks guys!🙏✌️💚🌎👹

Very popular place for sure, we waited in line at least 10-15 min. We were here on another occasion, and I feel like the opening hours should be updated because we got there and it was closed when we actually thought it’s open (according to their timetable on Maps). Now to the actual ice cream: we could same (very generous!) before we actually decided which is a very nice touch, and I’d say that for a single scoop it is a very generous cup (like they actually fill it UP). We got the olive oil baklava (which had actual pieces of baklava in it) and the honey pretzel praline — both very delicious, and creamy, umami… however, way too sweet, to the point that the back of my throat hurt until the next day (that didn’t stop me from finishing it though 😅) but it definitely gave me the biggest sugar kick ever. Would I be back? Yes, I’d like to try other flavours too… because I have a very big sweet tooth, but hoping they wouldn’t be as sickly sweet as the ones I’ve already tried.

I took a tasting flight, so was able to taste the chocolate cereal milk, mini milk, and brown butter vanilla for £9. The brown butter vanilla was definitely interesting, but the brown butter taste is taking over. I would definitely recommend going and trying the different flavours. Would go again if in central London.

Cute little ice cream shop in Soho with some really unique flavours like Hong Kong French Toast, Honey Pretzel Praline, and Yuzu Honeycomb. The staff were friendly too. We ordered the McDonald’s fries 🍟 and crème brûlée 🍮 flavours— both tasted really nice. Also loved the biscuit on top with their logo, such a cute touch!
