I love this place. The food and service is always great. I come up here with my family often, I love the chili cheese burrito on taco tuesdays, and their themed menus are very charismatic and well crafted. The waitresses always have good recommendations for food and drinks. The only downside is the bill always gets a bit pricy if i’m drinking… Maybe I just need to learn which drinks are cheaper though. Also it’s loud but that’s kind of to be expected of a sports bar

Our youth hockey team, with a party of 42, arrived shortly after opening on a Saturday morning. The entire staff was attentive, kind, and helpful. We never expect prompt, and easy service when our team does this - we all recognize it is a service nightmare - but the entire crew went above and beyond to make this experience fantastic. 10/10 would recommend.

What a great mix of people. All ages. We came from Canada and had a great time. We spent 6 hours there. Friendly people even though we met a Packer fan lol. Go Blue!! Cheap drinks and a great atmosphere for sure!

This is my “go to” place! Whether it’s brunch/ lunch with the family, date night, stop in after work .. etc. Almost every day of the week there is something fun going on. Kid (& pet) friendly during the day. The food is fantastic. The staff is absolutely incredible! (that often times become close friends) They host karaoke on Thursday nights .. which is one of my favorite nights. It’s a great time. Find out for yourself!

Stopped in for lunch. First timer, but the friend I was with has been there a lot. Service was top notch and friendly. Bloody mary was good, needed a little spice, but there was hot sauce right at my table. Food came quick. Spicy chicken sandwich was very good. Waffle fries are the best, especially dipped in their great ranch dressing. The only thing I did not enjoy was the loud music. Too loud for an early afternoon weekday lunch, it's hard to have a conversation with my friend with heavy metal thrash music blaring overhead. I will be back, especially for that chicken sandwich.

We stopped in here to see our son Kevin for Father’s Day since he had to work and he couldn’t come to our house. We had a barbecue dinner. It was very good and we had wonderful. Great service from Amber at the bar. She was so attentive and so friendly, very very nice girl. We never waited for anything. Spent a few hours there. She’s definitely a keeper.

This is my all-time favorite place to eat. The staff knows me and my partner at this point because we go so often. They have the BEST vegan options around. Their seasonal menus are fun and unique every time. The staff is lovely and outgoing. My only criticism is that when i pay to play a song on the jukebox app, there have been a few times where they turn OFF the music as soon as my song starts playing 😭😭. Maybe they dont like heavy metal. But otherwise this is an amazing bar and great place for late nate snacks.

Service here is always top tier. The staff is very attentive and accommodating. I've been hooked on the smoked chicken nachos for almost a year. They are absolutely fabulous. I can't tell how anything on the menu tastes. The vibe is typically people looking to watch sports. I would recommend this place 10 out of 10 times!

Locally sourced food and you can tell the difference. Food quality is outstanding! Great local charming atmosphere with an attentive and polite staff. Highly recommend! I had no expectations and came out more than pleasantly surprised. Beer on tap is cold with frosty glasses as well which is an added bonus. Very attention to detail.

This is a nice Sports bar with a fun atmosphere. The food is very good with a good selection on the menu. I had the Chipotle Turkey Bacon melt with waffle fries. It was a large sandwich that was super yummy. I would recommend this sandwich. There is a great selection of beer on tap too. I liked the Only Tourists by Short's Brewery. Other patrons had the Garlic Butter Truffle Shuffle burger and said it was Amazing. I will have to try that one next time. I will definitely return. This place is cool.

Horrible place. It's always something deadly happening here. Late Monday night My buddy Stephen was jumped and attacked with machetes after leaving Big League Brews bar in Taylor.. it's only 3 blocks away from where he stays. His memory is foggy, but he said it was 2 to 3 men.. He has a total of 28 very deep cuts on his body. His skull was exposed in several places, and he has cuts down to the bone on his arms and legs. The blow to his right leg was so powerful that it fractured his shin. They left him for dead, and he was found by someone as they were leaving for work tuesday morning. Because he's not from here, he was listed as a John Doe at the hospital until he woke up and identified himself today This wasn't a fight, this was attempted murder. I've never seen someone so messed up.. he's very lucky to be alive Anyone that knows him know that he's a great guy and he didn't deserve this. It was completely random, he didn't get into it with anyone at the bar or anywhere else for that matter. He said it happened so fast he didn't have a chance to react or attempt to defend himself. Justice will be served . Share, share, share! Zero stars!

Best breakfast spot for cheap yummy food!! The burrito was amazing filled with potatoes, sausage, jalapeño and we added cheese. We will definitely be back for breakfast again. Their dinner is great too. This place is always busy so that's how you know it's good.

My partner and I came in for a lunch date and the food was delicious! I got the spicy chicken Brewster sandwich with shoestring fries. The fries were crispy and the sandwich had just enough spice (not too much). My partner got the crack wrap which was tasty! The food was very reasonably priced! Our server was very sweet! Good experience.

Staff stands around talking to each other more than actually serving customers. It's been every time I've come here. They have the TVs turned up so loud you have to scream to have a conversation. They probably do this to drown out the sound of their staff's conversations. They are super slow coming back to take food orders and inattentive to customers. The staff handling food should probably wear clothes that actually cover their bodies. If you need to constantly pull your shirt down to make sure your breasts aren't exposed then you shouldn't be wearing that item. Especially if you're going to allow small children into your establishment.

Came here for music bingo, always a lot of fun. I did not care for the boneless chicken with bbq sauce, the chicken just had weird taste to me. I would come back but I would order something different, the spicy chicken wrap was pretty good. The fries were the typical shoestring fries. The service was cool and friendly. We were waited on in a decent about of time, even though they were busy, I will check this place out again

This place serves its purpose well. The purpose I am talking about is simply PINCHE fun all the way. It's the second time I have been here and tonight I found out they have pool tables and darts in another room. I love the craft beer selection it's not bad. The chicken tenders and fries are very good. Now it can get a little crowded especially on karaoke night. So Friday nights is definitely need of crowd control. But security here is pretty tight and spot on so don't be that guy. The wait staff is very down to earth so make sure you tip don't be cheap here. Highly diverse crowd here and that means it's not only is it awesome but it's a fine example of America. You will have a great time here just please drink responsibly. That is all. So 12 of us taking friend out for her 50th birthday stop in Big League Brews to eat and get drinks but waited at a table for 15 minutes, then while asking for who's the server, was told the birthday girl who's sitting with us said something that was miss understood and that they WON'T SERVE US because she's wasted but hasn't had 1 drink yet?? I frequent this place very often and bring friends all the time. Not anymore. Chase your loyal paying customers away

Great experience. Our server Sam was fantastic she was on point. Stopped in for lunch and a couple of beers and to also watch the Tigers game. I ordered a BLT with string fries. The BLT was really good thick crispy bacon, fresh lettuce and fresh tomato on perfectly toasted bread. The fries were good not greasy or soggy. I ordered two Dirty Blondes, nice and cold. $3 during the Tigers game. Plenty of TV's. Great neighborhood bar.

I went in, absolutely hungover, feeling like death. Greeted with a big smile by the waitstaff, they got my order taken, promptly, after I sat down. I ordered their breakfast burrito. I don't remember what's in this thing, but it came to the bar looking a golden nugget dug out of the basement of the Vatican. I think I heard an angel singing even. It was filling, delicious, and made me a better person. Ice cold drink, warm burrito, 10/10 would absolutely order again. Also willing to commit, fully, to saying this is the cure for a hangover.

Small town good vibe atmosphere. I didn't expect this place to be filled with regulars at the bar, sharing old stories and hanging with friends. I didn't expect the music to be classic rock. It's a seat yourself kinda bar / grille. The menu is newer with original faves for food, beer, and newer style cocktails. Bar area has a few TVs for sports, there is another area with a large screen for the big games and events. I didn't get a chance to go on the other side we went for an early hangout. The waitress and bartenders were nice, and helpful at making choices. I ended up with a Crack sauce wrap and my friend one of the burgers / waffle fries. I wasn't hungry until I seen her burger and ended up eating her fries. Don't forget to order your own We tried their spin on Moscow mules, you can also get them flavored. Original was the best. Good spot to get out and have a bite with friends.

I've been meaning to try this place for years and wish I had done so sooner. It very much is a place like JP McGuire's, in that it has a total locals place vibe to it. It's always got a crowd when I drive by, and I think now I know why. If I had one complaint, it's that my beer wasn't cold enough, but they had Hopslam on tap so I ordered two anyway and enjoyed them both. Aside from the fact that it's local's bar, it has two rooms and bar stools on either side, so even though one side was full we got stools. The menu isn't super extensive but they had something I really liked: A smaller burger of their classic version that was cheap that I ordered and shoe string fries. I can't say this is the best burger I've had, and you have to live with it being medium-well, but it pretty damn good - uncommonly good, as in I'll remember it. The shoe string fries were really good too, hot, crispy but soft too. I appreciated the pepper shaker two, it was whole pepper you ground out, and when I asked for mayonnaise I got a big ol' container of it. My girlfriend had the steak bites dinner and said they were really good, but it had mushrooms so I'll take her word for it. I really should have tried this place sooner. Staff was friendly and service was fine.

It's a bar, a bar with bar food good drinks and a great DJ. A lot of my friends have gone here but I have yet to go here. As we walked in the music was really loud I was a little annoyed it's hard to have a conversation so we sat side-by-side my husband and I but as the DJ was playing the music, it was really good a great mix of music and actually got you in a very good like party mood. Our waitress was sweet as pie everything she recommended was on point, I ordered one of their kiwi tequila drink. It was tequila with kiwi. it was great I think it also had lavender. It was delicious but it was not that strong. It was a very light drink and then I ordered a martini shaken with extra olives, amazing amazing maybe like four or five shots of booze and that was all I needed. the waffle fries that the waitress recommended were amazing. She brought a side of cheese. We had about three drinks and dinner a cubanito hotdog with two orders of fries and it was $34. A very good time for a quick stop. I would definitely recommend it and we will be back again. It's a local bar with a great atmosphere.

We went in a Saturday afternoon. The 2 bartenders were polite. We didn't talk much other then taking orders and closing out. The beer selection was excellent. The prices were about average. The service was very slow. I think a round and closing out took almost an hour. It had to be 5 minutes before we ordered. And another 5 before we got the drinks. I'm being very generous with the 5 minutes.

This place is great. The food is fantastic as well as the service. Awesome daily specials, great beer selection, tons of TVs with all the games. I wish it was closer to my house I would definitely be a regular. Great job highly recommend

I've been to BLBs, as it is colloquially known, several times over the last few years and it is always a treat. Their tiny kitchen produces such big flavors and I have always been glad we chose a burger or tacos at BLBs over a chain or a venture downtown. Big League Brews is a bar that defies expectation. It is owned by a guy that just wanted a decent place to hang out, and thought turning a dark little dive bar into a neighborhood hot spot was a good bet to place. They seem to treat their staff well because they know happy servers make happy customers. They get creative with their seasonal menus because they know variety brings in patrons more regularly. They are focused on people having a good time without the corporate mandate for pieces of flair. They now open early for the late shift workers, nurses, etc. that wanted to stop for a drink and a bite to eat with their coworkers on their way home when nothing was open. They are a neighborhood bar and grill, owned and operated by people from the neighborhood and they love and support the community and other downriver businesses. It helps that they are a 5 minute drive from my house too!

Haven't wrote a review in a minute. Decided to break that with this place. Alright, was looking for a new "good bar burger" spot. Tried a few others, but needed "that" place. Finally, found it with Big League Brews. Alright - from top to bottom. Walked in didn't expect much, but I was wrong. I admit it - was really wrong. Bartenders were awesome, personable, and attentive. Beer selection wasn't an over the top craft selection, but that's definitely okay. I appreciate a streamlined menu. Then, the food - good grief the food. From reviews I went with the M.T. - just a staple bar burger. I found "it" - damn did I find it. Plus waffle fries and proper bar ranch dressing? Come on - chubby kid heaven. Then an imperial on top of it? Complete win. Already planning going back this weekend to utilize the pool table. Oh! Oh! They have a bubble hockey machine - I mean come on. Anyone who grew up in an ice arena appreciates bubble hockey - unless you have no soul. One thing I didn't check out was the bathroom - so I can't give a proper much needed review on that. Maybe next time? Basically, they killed it. They sold me. Can't wait to go back.

Small sports bar with some great food. Sports bars aren't really my thing but I enjoyed my visit here on a quiet Sunday night with friends. There was no one shouting at the TV's or anything you'd expect when you hear "sports bar" I can here solely because they have vegan options. The vegan options are actually a separate section on the menu, which may not attract the attention it deserves as a lot of people see vegan and are instantly turned off, but it is really nice to have a little friendly section. Seating and service was quick and friendly, they have tall tables and chairs in the front lobby, not sure about the back. They've got 4 options listed but they said they were out of boneless wings, and I've heard of an "off menu" quesadilla but didn't discover that until after I ate. May have been a special treat for someone though so don't quote me on it(: My partner got the Vegan PreTenders and Fries. I had a bit of it and it is really good! The fries were amazing, and I really like the unique spongy texture that the chickpea blend has. I've never had chicken tenders based out of chick peas, just tofu and seitan. It was $10.99, which is pricier than your run of the mill tenders but it's made of healthy ingredients in a blend I haven't found anywhere else so far. I got the Vegan Notchos, which are $15.99. This price point is pretty high compared to everyday nachos or vegan nacho cheese based out of potatoes and carrots, but this sauce is based from cashews, so they have to make the cost a bit higher to make sustainable. The cheese sauce tasted delicious though! I did find myself feeling like there was a mini salad on top of nachos. I'm just a junk foodie though "less leafy greens more cheese" sums that up. Maybe next time I'll ask if they could do chips, greens, and then pour on the cheese so it sticks together. My only real complaint is that they throw the straws in the drinks without asking (I don't like using plastic), they didn't mention on the menu that their cheese was cashew based which seems like an accident waiting to happen, and that the prices are a bit higher than what I'd expect the average bar patron to pay, but I'm not familiar with the sports bar world and I remember it did say something about being top rated 3 years in a row, so perhaps patrons are willing to spend a bit more. My only worry is that people will see the pricing and generalize when in reality the price is higher than your typical meat or store bought soy because there's a lot more effort put into it. Overall, I could see myself coming back, but probably only if they released the boneless wings or quesadilla, as the cheese and wings were our main draw in our decision to go since my partner misses Buffalo Wild Wings.

First time ordering your food, heard good things, well just opening the box was a disappointment. I ordered the Spicy brewster chicken sandwich on a brioche bun with an order of fries. I got about 15 fries and my sandwich was on a regular seeded bun with enough seeds to feed a bird. I have diverticulitis and cannot eat seeds! A call should have been made if they were out of the brioche buns so I was able to choose something else that wouldnt make me sick. I was on my lunch at work and could not return my food. Needless to say I didnt enjoy my breadless chicken sandwich and 15 cold fries! Do better Big League Brews!!!!

Our family decided to order from here this past weekend. We called with a couple questions that were cheerfully answered. We told the gentleman that answered that we would call back shortly with our order. After we all decided what we wanted, we called back and placed our order. The guy that took our order was the same person that delivered our order. Just a very friendly, genuine guy. Now onto the food. I ordered the patty melt. I was delicious! Crispy, chewy bread, super cheesy, with the right amount of grilled onions. I ordered the burger medium. It was perfect! My wife and I also split an order of their poutine. I would put their poutine fries up against any of our neighbors to the North. We asked to have the poutine delivered as a hobby kit that we could assemble once the food arrived at our home. It was perfect! Everything was hot and fresh! Whenever we're able to stop in and have a bite to eat, we're going to be there! Overall, great place, great people, and fantastic food! SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL BUSINESSES!!!!

Meh. Came here because the Yelp reviews were so good. There were 10 or so other people seated. We ordered the Down River Hangover Cure and the Potato Nachos. I'm sure their food is spectacular if you've been drinking, but it wasn't great for a sober Sunday lunch. The hash browns were just mushed up tater tots and the nachos tasted like they'd been sitting under a heat lamp for quite some time. The bathroom was horrendous - there was fecal matter on the toilet seat. The wait time was pretty frustrating, too, we were there for 1.5 hours for two meals. Staff was very kind and attentive, so I'm giving two stars for the staff, but we won't be back.

Stopped in for one drink at big League Brews today. It was happy hour ( first let me say their happy hour is awesome). Ended up staying 2 hours and eating. The food is off the hook good. The staff is very attentive. My husband and I had the pleasure of being waited on by Kayla. We will be back. Sincerely Goose and Duck

I've visited this bar a few times now and can give it a solid four stars. Weekends are douchebagville, so be forewarned! But the tasty food and craft beer list is worth the fight through bros in polos. There are tons of tall tables for two and four in the main room, and tables for eight in the back room. On the weekends, there's usually DJ playing all types of music. They have multiple TVs, pool tables, darts and a jukebox. It's an awesome bar to hang out at for a few hours. You'll find Short's, Dogfish Head, Alaskan, Right Brain, Ommegang and others on tap, in addition to your standard yellow beers. There's also a full bar with almost any liquor you can think of. They have an extensive food menu at incredibly fair prices. My favorite is their pulled pork sliders or the "pig on pig violence"-- an excellent sandwich with ham, pulled pork, bacon and your choice of cheese and sauce. They've also got seasoned waffle fries and you can add spicy nacho cheese for only a buck more! Even if I'm not planning on drinking, I love BLB's food menu.

Idk I'm giving the review as the only thing that could make this neighborhood bar more like neighborhood bar in small town rural America is to add ice cream to the menu. I just like bars with ice cream parlors in em. But I was hungry ordered this breakfast. Only mod id do to the meal is substitute hashbrowns with waffle fries.

Great deals on food and great service. Try their deep fried greenbeans they are soooo good! Lunch for me and Mt husband was less than $8 he had a burger and a pepsi, I had the greenbeans and water! Not bad at all. Great atmosphere.

Such a pleasant surprise to find vegan options at a local Taylor bar. I tried the (pre)tenders and fries. These tenders have a great chicken-like texture. They are served piping hot and the fries are good too. I was excited for the Rock and Rye BBQ sauce but it was just okay. My wife tried the Notchos which came out more like a taco salad than nachos. They now use Impossible Burger instead of black bean patties which is very exciting! Please support this establishment.

I have been to Blbs (Big league brews) At least once a week for the last few years. It's a great place to watch a sports game, just have a beer and chill, or have a night out with your friends and party. If you've been there more than once the staff will probably know you by name. They are very welcoming and polite. They work like a family and the owner is a great guy. Not only do they have an amazing drink menu that is new and improved What feels like Weekly, Their food menu is Phenomenal. My favorite thing to get is the Italian grilled cheese. Not to mention that they have the best burgers and wings around. Their daily specials are great deals. Monday's dollar makin burgers make Mondays my favorite day of the week. There's always something going on at Blbs. Always have great D j's and Even karaoke. I would say that Blbs is a great place for the younger crowd of 21 all the way to the older crowd. Fun for all.

The 8 Trax music trivia that is held here has a bullying and humiliating culture towards people who get wrong answers. My story is far worse. I was bullied and humiliated by the runners and creators of the trivia program due to my bad sportsman captain deceptively taking the spot in the final round that she had NEVER done before because (despite being a rigid type A who gets mad if we don't get the regular table and is named team one) she is not as good as me and the two others who always, without exception, do the final round. When I went up to take our teams place our captain was up there. I didn't know until the count was off and she disingenuously exclaimed, why am you up here? I looked at her like, no you're NEVER up here. I was done with her at that point so walked away but as I did the founder and runners of the show sang songs for nearly ten minutes demeaning and degrading me for...nothing. For doing what they actually KNEW I always do. Because my team captain lied and made a unilateral decision. This trivia group does this to people who get songs wrong, too. Any "game" that demeans and humiliates their participants doesn't deserve to succeed. They do this to anyone who gets the answer wrong in the final round (not a flex but never happened to me) and I've never ever participated in singing that to others. It's not okay to treat those who want to enjoy a game this way and any place that allows them to use their bar shouldn't have decent reviews. Food has fallen a star here too but I think public undeserved humiliation is worse that supply chain and price issues

First time here! Was heading to the airport and will make it a every time stop. The beer was ICE COLD. I had a patty melt which was on point. The service was extremely nice and on it. I live in Florida but I do come back often and I will be back without a doubt! Keep up the amazing work!!

Many of you may remember this place as Tack's Lounge or Stool Pigeons Tavern...well....its changed now, the dark days are gone.... Big League Brews is now a sports bar, and what a nice transformation! Clean, bright, great decor and friendly staff..the list goes on.... We heard about the change while shopping at Best Buy in Southland Mall...the person assisting us with our TV purchase mentioned it when we told him about our Fantasy Football league, so we decided to check it out. GOOD MOVE on our part. For a place that switched over from blah to wow very recently, I think they are on the right track.... the word is out! We held our Fantasy Football draft here on a Saturday afternoon after some other friends pre-scoped it and gave it the thumbs up. We were pleasantly surprised at the nice set up we got from Matt Taylor, the owner of BLB. We had a private section roped off for us, individual draft kits (including hats, pens, draft cards, etc the usual stuff) and a wing special to knock your sox off. The staff was very accommodating and we soon knew this was totally the place to be doing our sports gig. The prices are reasonable for both adult beverages and NA items, the menu is nice. Some of us stayed behind after the draft for burgers and fries and they were dee-lish. The crowning achievement in this place, besides the friendliness and competency of the staff and management IMO is this HUGE 200 inch big screen that is situated on the back wall. Awesome! The sound and picture clarity are excellent, this is totally where you want to be watching the 'big game" You must see it to believe it.. And whats so amazing is the big screen takes nothing away from the general vibe of the place. ..Its not overwhelming in the least. Its just cool! I can see a huge crowd here for U-M/Ohio State already....hint hint........ Big League Brews also has the usual drink specials, karaoke, a DJ on some nights, other events soon to come... see their Facebook page for the full monty. I 99% guarantee you will become a fan once you get yourself in here and see for yourself. Parking is adequate, the RESTROOMS ARE CLEAN, and all in all, this is just an easy, nice place to hang out. You wont be disappointed.

One of my absolute favorite bars ever! Cassie and everyone here is amazing! Matt is honestly hands down one of the best owners ever! Food is amazing! Staff is amazing! Everyone here makes you feel like you're apart of their family!

Super cool bar. Came on Saint Patrick's Day and it looked like Saint Patrick literally threw up on this bar in the most awesome way possible. There were bag pipe players in kilts, green everywhere, Boondocks Saints playing on a large projector in front of a dance floor and dj. People were dressed in green wigs, kilts, one girl was literally dressed like a leprechaun. Reps from beer companies were passing out a ton of free green swag from hats, t-shirts and necklaces. Green beer was on tap and came in a cute commemorative cup to take home. They offered an Irish Breakfast and lunch. I came in late but my friend said the breakfast was super delicious. She had the Irish Mexican, cornbeef, Swiss and cabbage served quesadilla style and another one of my friends ordered the Irish AF Hash, a cornbeef hash served with eggs and bacon or sausage. This was one of my friend's favorite bars. She says they always amp it up for the holidays and do fun stuff for Christmas and Valentine's Day too and do a slow roll in the summer. BLB's is a really fun bar and I would definitely love to come back soon!
