"Capitol Hill recently got a slick-looking newsstand (print media fans, rejoice!), with a variety of terrific, hard-to-find publications alongside wine and snacks. For Easter, it’s offering baskets full of goodies, such as a bottle of rosé, a Compartés candy bar (either birthday cake or S’mores), a dark chocolate bunny, and a choice of a fancy magazine (Apartamento, Adventure Journal, Rucksack, or Drift). Baskets are $45 and preorders are available here, with pick-up at the 1102 E Pike stand." - Gabe Guarente

As an avid magazine-reader, Big Little News is my happy place ☺️ I’m so glad it exists right in my neighborhood. They have a vast selection of indie magazines you wouldn’t easily find anywhere else. And they also sell drinks!

Cute tiny shop with a lot of art/design magazines, which is why I stopped by, definitely will be going back to buy more when I need some inspiration. (And the person who worked there was super friendly!)

Adore this tiny gem! It's our favorite spot to hit before leaving for a trip or a long weekend. Great for stocking up on your favorite magazines, and discovering your new favorites---excellently curated selection! Also fantastic wine, non-alcoholic aperitifs, and candy options. A must-visit, for sure!

Big Little News is a cute magazine store in Capitol Hill that carries a good number of titles covering a variety of topics, both some (serious) mainstream magazines, and artsy ones you really wish your indie bookstore stocks. Definitely worth checking out if you are into magazines and/or print media. I wish every city has a magazine store like this. Tracy and Rachel are very friendly and helpful, they made a real effort to look for titles that may interest me and I appreciate that a lot!

This is such a fun space!! I love how carefully picked the selection is within the store. I chatted with Annie and got to know a little bit more of why Big Little News exists and I will for sure be back. I appreciate this space for existing as I love bookstores now that everything is digital- special spaces like these are hard to find.

Yelp
After stops at Danbo Ramen and Wunderground, I decided to check out Big Little News (5/11/22). I had seen it featured on KING 5 Evening and turns out this indie spot has been open since last March. I still miss the big newsstand that used to be at Pike Place Market. But once in awhile there's a hankering to gaze at magazines and other periodicals, stops are made at Bulldog News, Elliott Bay Books, Third Place Books, and Barnes and Noble. Big Little News is a bright pocket shop by 11th and E Pike on Capitol Hill. Quite the collection along the wall. There's also games, beverages, wines, journals, chocolates, and other merch...kind of like that corner bodega spot knowing you're bound to find something fascinating. I wished there were brief descriptions of the vast collection. Cover art and images does grab one's attention. I just tend not to thumb extensively through magazines. Welcoming shop person onsite, Big Little News has a great collection of stuff and things, I had to exercise restraint while onsite. I indulged in two culinary titles though which were nicely packaged and sealed with a cool sticker.

Yelp
Wandered into this teeny store and fell in love. I'm a sucker for bookstores and this place is one of kind. With a specially picked collection of magazines and books it is refreshing to check out as most things are digital these days. The staff is very welcoming and brilliantly knowledgeable from everything to artists, authors and trends in the fashion/art world. I learned a lot from the conversation I had with Annie. I will be back to check out this place again!
