Me and the boys went here the other day, gambled in the basement, played wiggle ball, and it was the best experience of my life, and I mean thrilling, it was just… breath taking I mean when I say this was one of the best experiences of my life, I mean it, this place is just all around perfect, from the whiffle balls, to the carpets, I love this place. 5 stars.

Came down from p town with the fellas let me tell you greatest carpet experience of my life!! These guys were fantastic the boys got some fresh Canadian goose feathers and the wiffle ball action there is one to nothing. Probably one of the comfiest chairs I’ve ever sat on. -STAY LOST OR GET FOUND

Big Marty’s just did a second job for us. Our entire basement with laminate flooring. Floors came out great and Adam did a super job. There were many cuts doorways and closets and all look great no gaps! Adam matched our trims with the quarter round Finish too. We are very happy with the job and will be back.

Chillin with the boys up in p town. Great place! Highly recommend falling off the roof and breaking your arm. Hope there's jobs there for bud cause he would enjoy a job there. might have to pull up sometime and swing by Penndel Pizza (also highly recommend, especially if you get free pizza every day

Great experience from start to finish. Staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Reasonably priced and installed very quickly. The guys that installed the carpets did a great job.

They did our carpet about 12 years ago, did a great job. This year had them do our upstairs with new carpet, again good 👍. Then had them do our kitchen, foyer, laundry room and living room with LV flooring. Installers were cool and knowledgeable. We had a few minor things that were resolved immediately.

"Fast" forward to 12/28/2019...we'd ordered and picked up the flooring and were intending on installing on our own. After soooooo much work having been done on this project by my husband, almost single-handedly, the flooring was gonna be the straw that would break his back...so, one call to Howard and in 3 days, his guys would be there to do the job. And what a job they did! New Year's Eve install - great way to end 2019 and welcome 2020. The floor looks gorgeous - vinyl planking from Mohawk. We chose what they call Blended Tones: Cashmere Pearl. Brings in the gray from the new cabinets and the oak tones from the wood flooring in the living room. We love the look and the feel and the guys did a fabulous job! Thanks to Howard and company!!!!

Been dealing with Howard for years, always very responsive and helpful. Brings out samples to my commercial locations and if fair. I highly recommend Big Marty's.

We decided to sell our home recently and needed carpet installation to complete some renovations. Although we had never done business with Big Marty's Carpets, we decided to contact the company about two months ago (October 2022). Howard, the owner, personally met with us at the store, discussed the carpet options we were interested in, personally came out to measure the area requiring carpet and quoted us a price estimate. Howard ordered the carpet the same day, and informed us it would be available for installation in approximately one week. The Big Marty installers were on time, professional and efficient. The price we paid was the exact price of our original estimate. Excellent job! Our apologies for not writing a review sooner, but renovations have kept us busy. However, we would definitely do business with Big Marty's again!

Update: We finally pulled the trigger and got flooring for the entire house. Howard took his time with us and made sure we were comfortable with our choice, never rushing us. It's not easy picking from all those options! We chose a mix of laminate (In Haus Elements in Gunstock Oak) and carpet (Glittering & Foxy - I forget the brand name). It looks like a completely different house! We are in love! John and Paul did the installation and were absolute professionals. They were on time every day, worked hard all day, and were super nice guys. We couldn't be happier - thanks guys!!

Great price and great service. Had my entire house completed at a much lower price than I was expecting. Had a lot of styles and colors to search from in the store.

I stopped in over the weekend and was very disappointed. First, the gentlemen weren't very interested in being helpful. Then, when I told them what I wanted, they seemed to have no idea what I meant: "I'm looking for a plastic runner to put over carpet in a high traffic area." "Huh?" "Like a plastic runner rug." "I don't think we have anything like that." Then the other guy piped in, "Like what they put under desk chairs? You need to go to Office Max for that." How can someone who works in a place that installs and sells carpet not know what I'm talking about. Good thing we have wood floors and don't plan on putting down carpet (needed the runner for an area rug). Ended up going across the street to find someone more helpful.

Was quoted a delivery price at purchase. When the owner found out where I live, tried to increase the delivery fee on the day of delivery. When I pushed back he agreed to honor the original agreement. But was rude and forceful in the process. This on top of the fact that the inside of the store is divey looking. Not a good business practice to not stand by your word. I was moving on a set budget and if the delivery price was higher, I needed to know that when I ordered the carpet. I grew up in Penndel and I grew up always seeing the Big Marty sign. Honestly do not know how they stayed in business so long. Thumbs down!

I had a pretty bad experience with Big Marty's about 3 years ago. We had ordered carpet, were told when it would arrive and be installed, and we actually waited for the installation team beyond the time they had been scheduled to arrive. We finally called and were told that our product was not in the warehouse and would not be available for another week to two weeks. We were angry that nobody had called, even coming up to our appointment time to let us know that our product was delayed. As it turned out, we were leaving the state two days later, not to return for about 6 months. This was upsetting as we were rehabbing a condo for future rentals. We had to make a special trip to return for carpet installation. After installation, the mess was going to be left for us to clean up. We are elderly and really could not do the extensive clean-up post installation that (we have been told should be done by the installation team) was needed. Fast forward approximately 3 years. Our condo has been inhabited only by us, and only about 4 weeks a year. Our carpet is not showing any wear and tear as there is none. But it is humping up in several areas, along the entire length of the carpet. This carpet was installed horribly. We need to have the furniture moved and the carpet stretched. So, while it seems we did get a quality product, the actual responsiveness, appointment experience, and now installation sloppiness that has become apparent has really turned us off Big Marty's. I was hoping to hear back from you following this message. If I do not, I will be posting this on Yelp. I am also a member of Angie's list and other consumer alert media.

This is a great place to shop for carpet. Marty's grandson was extremely helpful. Definitely will be back!!!!

I went to Big Marty's 3 times while searching for vinyl flooring. I was quoted a price on the 1st and 2nd occasions and when I had decided to go with that product and purchase it, they raised the price. From Thursday to Friday, IT WENT UP?! When I mentioned the quote was not the same I was told the prices go up weekly...when I said I was in there yesterday, he said the prices can go up daily. When I said how ridiculous that was he said it's only 20 something more dollars. Seriously!!?? I guess Big Marty's didn't need my $ but sure needed the extra $28 they would have got by upping my original quote. Instead I found the exact same product somewhere else cheaper. I find it disheartening that I was actually trying to support my local businesses and not go to a big chain and this was the treatment I received. I'd like to also mention I was the only one in the store at each visit and not once did the salesman approach me and ask if I needed help. I had to approach the main desk with all my questions. That's no way to do business!

Had carpet put in two bedrooms when we purchased our house 5 years ago. After about a year, maybe 2 we noticed carpet bumps in both rooms. When I called the company, they said they only guarantee for 6 months and told me it could be caused from moving furniture. They offered to fix it for $90 a spot/bump. There are 3 in the master and 1 in the other. The 2nd bedroom we had done is our guest room which hardly gets used and hasn't had furniture moved in there since we moved in. Would not recommend.

Disappointed, dissatisfied, disgusted. It has not been a year and our carpet is falling apart, fraying, and buckling. Gave them opportunity to fix the problem and they were a no show. Starting over with another company who knows what they are doing. That's right...the carpet is not even salvageable at this point. Save your time and money and go elsewhere! Would have given zero stars if Yelp allowed me to.

I was rehabbing my entire townhouse. Since carpet was the last thing to do, I decided to keep the place empty of furniture to make the installation easier. I was given a date for installation. On the date of the installation they had not shown or contacted me. I called them and was informed that they had a problem with the carpet order and it would be another week. This was ON THE DATE they were supposed to start. And I had to call THEM. I was scheduled to leave and go out of state so I had to make arrangements to come back just for this installation. Upon completion of the installation, the installers just decided to leave all the trash in the townhouse and informed me that they never clean after an installation. And by clean, I mean carpet scraps and all the waste that an installation produces. This was back in about 2014. Fast forward to 2018. I had to hire someone to come in to stretch the carpet. It had so badly buckled in so many areas. I was told by the technician who did the carpet stretching that the installation was faulty and short of ripping up the entire carpet and starting would always have some buckling. He did the best he could. What a rip-off.
