BIG SMOKEYS BBQ AND MORE

I want to first say that this has been my fav bbq place for a cple of years.. I dont know if the owners have changed but our experience on Sat . Nov 9 2024 was really bad. Waiter asked us what we would like to drink, I said sweet tea.. he said all we have is raspberry tea.. I said ' ok I will try it' So when it's time for him to take our order, I order the brisket nacho fries with the cheese sauce on the side, he says 'oh we don't have any fries ready ' to which I am kinda shocked.. I said 'ok how long for fries' he says ' a cple of minutes' (its a weird comment since fries should be cooked to order in a restaurant) He's not writing anything down so I repeat .. 'cheese sauce on the side pls and I would like a side of Mac n cheese' My partner ordered the chicken plate which on the menu says 2 legs 2 thighs 2 sides and 2 pieces of bread.. for her sides she wants green beans and corn and he says they don't have any corn she said ok coleslaw. Server comes back to the table about 10- 15 min later and says ' um your fries are ready but they didn't put the cheese sauce on the side and all we have are sweet potato fries' so I say 'ok I'll try it' Food comes out My partners chicken is way over cooked and they have forgotten a piece, there was 2 legs and 1 thigh, ( which I asked the server about and he said yea they forgot a piece and went and got it) coleslaw tastes like it's gone bad, everything has been nuked in the microwave even the fries because they are lukewarm on the outside and scalding on the inside.. the brisket was dry.. and right before I have had enough, my partner finds a hair in her food. I am so dissapointed its very hard to find a good bbq place and I have loved the food here ..They have lost 2 loyal customers.

This place has the best bbq I've ever had fr. Soooo good, we had the big smokey burger, a brisket plate and loaded potato skins. Well worth the price

There’s a lot of good BBQ places in Georgia but Big Smokey’s is by far the best BBQ I’ve ever had. Found Big Smokey’s a little over a month ago and have been in every week since. (twice a couple times) The BBQ nachos with brisket are DELICIOUS! My favorite thing on the menu is the baked potato with brisket though. The meat is so moist and flavorful, you can taste the smoky flavor in every bite. Their deserts are amazing too, I’m not a big fan of banana pudding in general but my wife loves it, their crack cake is also so delicious and moist, a must try! (To take home, their portions are huge and you will be so full) To top it off they are so nice! The first time we went in the lovely lady behind the counter suggested food for us to try and was very helpful in general. The owner has also been working in the kitchen everytime I’ve been in and is also very nice. Definitely stop by when you pass by, delicious! P.S try the Smokey’s punch!

Recently found this place and the food was excellent. We taste tested a few local places for a catering event and the family picked this place as the best tasting. From a catering perspective, the only complaint this they need to re-visit the pricing of their sides. The way they calculate how sides are added to the order made it SIGNIFICANTLY more than other BBQ places in the area. Unfortunately, we were forced to buy the sides elsewhere even though we liked the taste of Big Smokes BBQ.

We had the ribs, Mac n cheese, baked beans, potato salad and onion rings. We did not like the potato salad. It wasn't necessarily horrible, but just not our kind of potato salad. The beans and Mac n cheese were very good. Do wish they would give you real silver ware.

This place was a total letdown. The women’s bathroom was in rough shape—barely stocked with a sad little bottle of Dial soap and no way to dry your hands. I had to grab napkins from a nearby booth just to clean up. We ordered sweet tea, Sprite, and water. The sweet tea tasted like it was made by someone who’s never had sweet tea in their life. The water? Might as well have been scooped from a toilet. Our server seemed pretty indifferent. Granted, it was a Sunday morning and we were probably the first customers, but after sitting for 15 minutes, I had to get up and ask if our order was even started. He looked at me like I had three heads, then wandered to the back and stayed there for another 10 minutes. At that point, we were done. We left $6 for our $2.99 drinks and walked out. Maybe we just caught them on an off day, but I wouldn’t recommend this place. If you decide to try it, I genuinely hope your experience is better than ours.

I’m over Smokey’s, I love their food and try to get it all the time. But I have gone there way too many times and they be randomly closed. This is the last time!! So many times I have gone when they are supposed to be open and they are closed again! Totally Random and unpredictable. I’ve brought all my buddies to hang out and it’s beyond disappointing when I get everyone together and show up to locked doors throughout the week. I’ll never go there again, I’m done!

We probably won't be back again. We ordered the 8 piece chicken family meal. The owner Ray took the order for us. He then told us that he only have 3 pieces of chicken available for us. He will give us 15 pieces of chicken wings to substitute. I said ok, that will work. The food were packed in to go box. We figured it was 1 piece of chicken and 17 pieces of wings. The metric is off. Should just tell your customers we don't have the chicken; Order something else. If I want to order the wings. We will probably get 25 for 25$. Instead of 17 wings and 1 piece of chicken + 3 sides for 35$. The food is good. If you want the customers keep coming back. Don't offer something and not commit to it. To reply to the message. It was 1 piece of chicken and 17 wings. You can confirm with him before calling your customers a lier. Why would I even make that up? This reply defines how well you treat your return customers. Totally not worth my time to come back dispite how good the food is.
