Big Tex BBQ

Huge shout out to Kevin and Derek at big Tex barbecue. I’ve spent most of my adult life in Kansas City so I know the difference between good barbecue and average barbecue, I got a slab of ribs yesterday that in my opinion Beat any barbecue I’ve ever had anywhere. I’ve been to other barbecue restaurants and I asked them where their smoker was and they told me they didn’t have one. They cooked their meat on the grill.If you don’t have a smoker, you shouldn’t be allowed to sell barbecue :-)

This place might look like just another roadside BBQ joint, but these guys know what their doing. I went there with two coworkers for lunch on a Wednesday and was greeted by friendly staff. I ordered three bone section of ribs, 1/4 chicken white and two pieces of bacon. The ribs made me want to skip working the rest of the day and go back for more. I expected the chicken breast to be kinda dry but that wasn’t the case because every piece was moist. And the two strips of bacon was just something that I needed because my wife only buy the turkey kind. The seasoning wasn’t sweet and they didn’t hide it with bbq sauce. (Just how I like it) I don’t really care for bbq sauce but the spicy was pretty good.

Really? YES REALLY this is the best brisket that I have ever had!! The bbq chicken is awesome as well. Everything is spot on including the potato salad:) I really can't say enough about this bbq! WOW!!!

I heard about the Bbq being good here, but I had to try it out for myself, AND yes it lived up to expectations! I loved the BBQ chicken sandwich, brisket sandwich, potato salad and the smoked mac & cheese - JUST Amazing! The customer service was also really good and I got my food pretty quick. Best BBQ in town! I will be back soon

The BBQ brisket is some of the best I have ever had. I have been to Memphis, Austin and this rivals those places. One downside is that I did not like the sides that much. However, the Meats are so outstanding that I could not rate below 5 stars. This place is great.

Tried the Clint Eastwood, and man was it good! They don’t skimp you on the portions here. Great value and absolutely delicious brisket. Will definitely be back.

Drove half hour, it did not disappoint me. The briskets flavor is so amazing. The meat and the thin layer of fat just melts in your mouth. I wish I bought 2 pound instead of 1

We finally made it out to try this place and boy they do not disappoint! The most amazing bbq I’ve ever had! Brisket is AMAZING and the ribs literally fall of the bone! The most tasty food I’ve ever had. Love that its not smothered in sauce, although i do highly recommend the spicy sauce. Staff super friendly. Definitely recommend!!!
