Absolutely amazong and it’s worth to wait! A must visit if you are here! Great experience and so much fun 🤩 Also for our 8 year old, he really liked it! One of many great attractions in the Disneyland Paris

I don't like rollercoasters. I dont like going upside down and that whole weird feeling in your stomach thing. This rollercoaster is probably the limit of what I can take as it's fast and exciting but doesn't go upside down. It is popular though so expect queues and the odd brakedown. GOOD 👍 A fun ride that gives you a good amount of time on the ride. Aesthetically it looks really good too. BAD 👎 It's prone to breakdowns, it broke down for about 15 minutes while we were queueing. Long queues (although these do keep moving, slowly).

Big Thunder Mountain RR is a classic old rollercoaster, and in my opinion is just a touch smoother than the Matterhorn. It's one of my favorites at Disneyland.

Google
It worked many years ago, still works the same today, absolute classic of a rollercoaster. Insane experience. The only thing bad about it might be the queue but if you watch the waiting time closely and apply some strategies (going there when everyone has not arrived yet or when most of the people are away doing something else) you'll get to <30 or even <20 minutes of wait

Loved this ride, however there is always a really long ride. Somehow the there can be a problem with the ride often because in our previous visit we waited twice in the line for this ride and both times they announced there was a problem and we waited in total 3 hours for nothing. This time during our visit we encountered no such problem and finally were able to go on the ride. It is definitely as good as they say it is and provides amazing views. If you have the time or even better the primary access definitely worth the ride. Also the entrance can be tricky to find since the island is far away from it, getting directions from the Disneyland app makes it way easier.

Big Thunder Mountain is basically Disney’s way of saying, *"You wanted the Wild West? Here’s the WILD part."* Between the fake dynamite explosions and the very real sensation of being flung into the stratosphere, this ride is the closest I’ll ever get to being in an action movie. Fun Fact: The goat on the hill isn’t just scenery—he’s the ride’s emotional support animal for traumatized guests. Tip: * If you’re wearing a hat, either hold onto it like your life depends on it (because it does) or accept that it now belongs to the Disney gods.

We queued for this ride for well over an hour, possibly closer to an hour and a half. Once you’re in the queue, there aren’t many exits, so you’re more or less committed to waiting it out. The queue moves slowly, but the anticipation builds as you get closer. When we finally got on, both trains were running. The ride itself was high-speed and full of sharp twists and turns. You don’t really get to see much of Big Thunder Mountain during the ride because it’s over so quickly, but it’s definitely an exhilarating experience. The theming around the mountain and the mine train design is really well done and adds to the excitement. It’s easy to see why this is one of the park’s most popular attractions. Make sure to hold on tight to your belongings, the attendants will remind you to remove hats, Mickey ears, or anything loose before boarding, and they’re absolutely right because they will fly off. The ride can be a bit bumpy in places, so it’s probably not ideal for anyone with back or neck problems. Overall, though, it’s a must-do if you enjoy fast-paced roller coasters with great theming. - One of the most popular rides at Disneyland Paris. - Expect long queues. - Avoid if you have back and neck problems.

Google
Better than Disney World version, theming is awesome! This ride is based on Disney World's Big Thunder Mountain and both have 3 lift hills. But! The Paris version launches you underground, beneath the water, to the island in the middle of a lake. Theming is so much fun- you feel you are at an abandoned rail mine in the SouthWest USA circa early 1900's. On your return, there is a return dark part that after riding twice I am still trying to figure out how we got back to the shore. So much fun, and the visuals at night are stunning!

Yelp
This was such a fun ride located in frontierland. I was not expecting all the twists and turns. Im so happy I had a fast pass because the wait for this was quite long. Be sure to secure all belongs before the ride.

Yelp
Definitely more intense than WDW. Also I think it's a lot longer. Portions in the dark are really cool (going under the lake) Also love that the dynamite effect is on and working which I have never gotten to experience at my home park. Rose this twice, first time at night which was really beautiful Definitely my favorite ride at this park. Do not miss (and try to ride at night too!) On the 2 days we had at the parks we rode or 5 times - 4 times in one dya alone.

Yelp
Big Thunder at Disneyland Paris has great sunset views and has a longer period of time in the dark at the end of the ride than other Big Thunders. This is my favorite one and I've been both in the US. What an epic adventure!

Yelp
I love Big Thunder Mountain! This is one of the few roller coasters that I can actually handle lol We got to Disneyland Paris and Frontierland was our first stop. Naturally, Big Thunder Mountain was our first ride that we wanted to hit in Frontierland. We went over and found that it was shut down. Sadness. We were bummed. No worries. We figured we could come back later, or on the way out to hit this ride. It's very similar to Big Thunder Mountain in California. It is fast, but not too fast. It is still enjoyable, and you can see the views. For me, this is a nice, relaxing ride, with some speed lol It does not go upside down or anything crazy- thankfully.

Yelp
Builds on what already is a great ride originating in a California and makes an even more wilder ride in the wilderness. Speeding through canyons, caverns and pitch black tunnels on and off the island gets my heart pounding. I don't do well on most roller coasters, but I can handle this one. Its popularity guarantee needing a fast pass.

Yelp
Hang on to your hat and glasses as this here's the wildest ride in the wilderness! Well, this ride's a classic, so you will definitely need to ride this if you're at Disneyland! The wait time on the board was about 60 mins when I got there, but the line seemed to have moved faster than that. It was closed for refurbishment when I was here last year, so it was good to be able to ride it this year. The ride was pretty much identical to the one at the Disneyland back in Anaheim, CA.

Yelp
The exterior, station, and the path of the ride is different than the US versions but still just as fun. Actually, it feels faster with steeper climbs and drops than the US versions. It's a great thrill rides with spectacular views while zipping and zooming around on this runaway mine train. It's a definite must ride.
