Surprise to find it at the back of housing area. I know and did research before I go. But didn't expect it really right smack belakang lorong of 2 row of house Food is good especially Wan Yue (grasscarp). I prefer this fish over big head Shun Yue.. too muddy smell for my liking. 4 type mix vege is pretty good and not too oily. Chicken wing oso acceptable.

You have got to love Malaysians for their ingenuity. This restaurant is located in an unapparent space, sandwiched between rows of terrace houses and spread out under sheddy trees. Delicious food is expected here. We fancy steam fish and herbal soup. Rush hour can tax your time. This is a good indicator for a well visited makan joint. Ample cooling fans are placed for the comforts of the patrons.

No doubt, the “king” of steamed fish head restaurants in the Klang Valley. The “wan yu” (grass carp) was fresh, smooth, and sweet: a higher quality pick over the “song yu” (big head carp) that’s more “muddy” in taste, with more bones. The side dishes - salted fish pork belly, mixed bean/veg, and old cucumber soup - were just as satisfying. Arrive before 11 am to grab one of three tables on the terrace and enjoy cool dining under an actual big tree. Location and parking may be difficult to find, but worth the trouble: the food is cheap and good.

Fish head is fresh and delicious. The bean sprouts is my favourite as it is well fried and crunchy. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal with family.

A hidden gem! I tried their two recommended dishes — both were just nice and satisfying. The fish was the real highlight — fresh and nicely cooked. The place has a traditional, old-school feel that’s very relaxing. Feels like one of those spots only the locals know about. Definitely worth a visit if you enjoy simple, good-quality food in a laid-back setting.

Short and simple! Fish was fresh, sauce was very tasty!! Coconut chicken soup very delightful!! Very sad that our stomach was still full if not we order more dishes to eat.. overall very good and sure to come back eat again. 👍🏻👍🏻

Our first time here. This is a simple food but tastes amazing. The ginger steam fish was absolutely amazing and a must try. Next to it will be the long beans n stinky beans combo (never have I tasted that combo before) just wow. Their home made tofu is also good. And their thin sliced pork belly..... Wah.... Juicy, tender n so flavorful. A must try for all locals. Parking can be tricky, so plan ahead there.

Just arrived KL. We were taken to lunch at this restaurant at Taman Connaught, Cheras KL. It's a very old restaurant that started under a tree, that's how it got it's name. The food was very good & prices were very reasonable. The servings were big. That's why she survived for a long time and expanded to another outlet. We ordered a steamed fish head, pork belly with salted fish, belachan mixed veggie, seafood tofu, and sweet potato leaves. All eaten with rice. The menu is quite standard. That's how the turn around was pretty fast although the crowd was large during lunch time. If you could compromise with a not so pleasant environment & close an eye on hygiene, you can have a tasty meal with very reasonable price here. The toilet was at the back of another house opposite the back lane!! As for parking, one had to find an empty space at the back lane & depending on one's lucky star. 🙏👌
