Big Whiskey's American Restaurant & Bar Branson

We were visiting from STL and decided to give this place a try. We weren’t disappointed! We had Marcus as our server and I’ve never seen anyone have so much joy when serving customers, it was great. He had great conversation and was very knowledgeable about the menu. The ribs were tender and juicy and so was the chicken. The kids loved the food as well. I would suggest that they add another slider for the kids cheeseburger or just give them a regular burger otherwise go here as a family. You won’t be disappointed.

Great food, great atmosphere and service was excellent! Our waitress was very attentive to what we needed.

People say never move from Chicago because you will miss the food… came here on vacation and wish we had one at home! Marcus was out server and he was phenomenal. Wish we could come back regularly. Food was delish, service was friendly and fast. Great place for a tasty and trendy bite!

Our server, Jasmine was REMARKABLE! Her southern charm and attentiveness during our dinner service was exceptional.

Stopped by here for a quick bite to eat, we got the loaded fries as an app, and both of us got the BW BBQ + cheddar burger! 🤤 it was DELICIOUS! Our server was Anna and she gave us 10/10 quality service! Everything came out quickly, our drinks were delivered fast, and the atmosphere was great! Will be going back for sure!!! Absolutely go here! (And ask for Anna cuz she’s amazing) 🙃

We had a big party that included 9 children. It was a long day out and we needed some food. The food was great, but the service was unmatched. We were amazed at the friendliness and professional service provided by our waiter Marcus, and other staff members that were so courteous to our children and attentive to our families. Lindsay came back to hold our 6month old so my wife and I could eat while the food was hot. We will always plan to stop here when we visit Branson!

This was amazing the pork chops were delicious. We did have to wait a little to get served but it was so worth it. At the end, we got free ice cream on the house because they thought my little boy was so Cute and Charm full.

Brandon was amazing and the chicken nachos were delicious! Plus we made it for happy hour! Bonus!!

We sat in the bar, but it was very laid back. We enjoyed watching the game. They have a great brunch menu.We enjoyed everything we tried.Our server in was amazing with our kids.

We stopped in late. A large group of 8. Marcus was a great, fun and interactive server. We all enjoyed our drinks and we ordered several different kinds. Even the late night snack of nachos and pretzels were fantastic. Nowadays service is sketch at best. So we asked to speak to management to applaud our great server! Highly recommend!

As one who has never given a rating of 1 to a restaurant, for Big Whiskey's in Branson, I think a 1 was too high. They'd have to improve to be just horrible. The wait was long - projected at 45 minutes but really an hour. When we got in, the put seven of us at a table for six, with one sitting in the aisle, blocking wait staff and other customers. It took forever to get drinks, then longer to get an order in, and still longer for the food to come. It was an hour from when we got in the door till we got our food. So, two hours to service... It wasn't worth the wait. The server was stretched, and therefore inattentive. The food wasn't great -- but sure was pricey. The atmosphere was nothing special. None of the seven of us will be back to Big Whiskey's -- any of their locations. If you're smart, you'll stay away too.

Burger was overcooked. Husband sent it back and the second burger was just as dry and overcooked. He ate that one because he didn't want to wait for a third. My steak was also overcooked but did have good flavor. We've been to a Big Whiskey's in Tulsa and is was outstanding. Hopefully we were there on an off night.

Service was reasonable considering that the bartender was responsible for the large seating area in addition to the actual bar. Not enough help. Saw lots of staff going back and forth. Manager could help bartender with more server help. The food was mediocre. An improvement to the menu text would be to identify that the side salad comes with bacon. I asked for light glaze on my salmon and was accommodated. It was good but not fantastic. Pork chops were well cooked but just average. Loaded potatoes had unmelted cheese under the bacon which was not crispy. Easy fixes. Broccoli and rice were okay. Not remarkable. Could be improved with a little pizzazz. Maybe turn plain rice into pilafs with some e finely chopped onions, etc.

We were sat quickly and the server Marcus did a phenomenal job. The food was wonderful and we would definitely go there again.

Dinner with my bride of thirty-one years, prior to seeing Queen Esther this evening. She ordered a chicken queso wrap with the fixins. I ordered the chicken bacon quesadilla. We were seated promptly and Emmaline brought out our drinks, coffee (fresh brewed) for me and a cucumber something for her. It's quiet for a bar but we're here a dinner time. Not bright, not dark and dimly lite either. There are televisions for sports loons but no Chive TV for us dweebs. The food arrived hot and plentiful, we enjoyed the flavors but the salsa isn't Texas, more like NooYawqCity. My wife's drink was tasty but wimpy, and full of ice... The coffee was very good and I didn't have to ask for refills! We're coming back for sure to try the churro dessert and many other dishes on the menu!

Will the wing where floppy we ask for extra extra Christy, then they gave u all flats no drums for 21 dollars I need a regular mix that was teterrible the fry came out after we sent wi gs back this don't have to do with u guys but a bee was in my beer

I've visited this location before, and loved the food, not so much this time around! Our waitress was kind, but service was a bit slow, and my fries weren't hot once they finally made it out. If I visit again, I will stick with a regular American burger instead of trying something premium (Honey Stung burger). The burger I ordered lacked flavor and was a bit overpriced for the actual product. My Mom ordered a salad, she enjoyed the chicken and fruit, but the lettuce was clearly old and wilted. The restaurant was very clean!

Rolled into Branson, Missouri today from Las Vegas. Found Big Whiskey's and decide to try. I ordered the 12 piece Award Winning Wings and they did not disappoint. Probably the best wings I've ever tried. A ton of chicken on the bone and the flavor was excellent I sat at the bar and the service was great and my wings arrived less than 10 min from ordering... super fast. Inside the restaurant was awesome. Great sports bar with a lot of TV's and friendly people. I would come back here and order the same thing... HIGHLY RECOMMEND. The price is definitely worth it.

I actually enjoyed the food, but they were so goddamn slow! I mean, pathetically slow. Painfully slow. For everything!

Nice decor,friendly staff.Hannah was our server.She came in a prompt matter and introduced herself and welcomed us to the restaurant.She got our drinks and suggested the spinach dip and it did not disappoint.We had the steak which was exactly the way I wanted it.Hannah was professional although she had a full section.Jay the manager was helpful as well.The staff seemed to work together..I will be bringing my mom back for her birthday at the end of November!

I had jasmine she is amazing so sweet and funny she was very attentive to our table and all her tables even tho they were so busy the food was amazing as well definitely will be going back

Big Whiskey's seemed to be the life of the neighborhood. They are one of the only places that stays open later in the evening so there is usually a decent crowd there. After a long day of hiking and resting i was in need of a hot meal and a good drink so we headed on over. The menu is pretty standard american food and there's something for just about everyone. I had my eyes on the pretzels with beer cheese and also decided on the Chicken Ranch Alfredo. During my visit to Branson, i really had trouble finding decent food. The places i was dining at were just not giving what they should have gave. Big Whiskey's was unfortuntely not any different. The beer cheese was close to rock solid. It solidified within minutes of being at the table. The pasta arrived looking like the cheese was already curdling. I made the best of what i could and took the rest to go since my stomach was so empty. The server was kind and attentive, i had no issues with the service at all. The margarita i ordered was also very tasty and i enjoyed that. The atmosphere is also fine and the restaurant is very spacious. I dont doubt this restaurant has good food but on my particular visit the food was not satisfying for me.

Came on a Monday evening as it was close by and one of the few places open. Looked slow inside as only a few tables were seated. It took awhile for a waitress to come to our table. I read service was slow prior but gave grace as I don't know what she was doing prior or if anyone told her someone got seated at her table. But the whole night she only came to our table to take our order, give us our food (which took awhile also) and checked on us once. Food was over priced for quality. It was good. Not great. And especially not $105 after tip for 2 adult meals, a kids meal, and an old fashion. Wouldnt return.

This restaurant was in our hotel so we were not sure what to expect but WOW! Everything was wonderful! We got the chips with three dips to start, salads with Blue cheese and crumbles - yum! And I had the tortellini which was amazing and my husband had the NY strip- all perfectly cooked and delicious! So glad we stopped in! The server was also so nice!

I have no idea how the food is, as I was told to order from the bar for take out. I stood there about 5 minutes without anyone even coming close to asking me if I needed anything. It was not busy. There were employees around but nobody even looked my way. So, after 5 minutes or so I went across the walkway to the Irish restaurant and with in 1 minute was greeted and placed my order. I am in the area tomorrow and will avoid this place again. Sorry

The food has really gone down. I haven't been here since October 2023. My mini burgers were burnt, the kids Mac n cheeses were both cold and the cheese was clumpy like it had sat in the window for a while. The chips for the triple dip were stale. The salsa tasted old. Our waitress put multiple orders of food on our ticket twice. It was definitely steady but not busy enough to make that many mistakes. We were probably there for a total of 2 hours just to eat in about 20 minutes. Just not a great experience.

Soup was cold Never got appetizer Garlic Parm chicken was overcooked and flavorless. Ribs heavy fat and poorly cooked $22?! Southwest egg rolls were good. Servers were okay but missed my app order. Prob won't be back at these prices for poor cuisine.

My husband and I went to Branson, MO for our baby moon. We have gone to big whiskeys the last two nights and had amazing food and an exceptional service! The manager stopped by our table to ensure that we were having a great meal and we really appreciate that. Our servers, Luke and Justin, treated us great and made sure we had everything we needed. I highly recommend the Philly cheesesteak sandwich and quesadilla because both were so good!

Food and drinks were super yummy!! We were pleasantly surprised that we were there during happy hour because the apps and drinks we got were only $6 each!! Delicious! Will definitely be back!

Stopped in while in town and got the ribeye with broccoli and loaded mashed potatoes. The food was amazing and the service was excellent. The atmosphere inside is also great and I had a great time. One small issue is where they have the entrance and hostess stand. There wasn't anyone there and it's kinda around a corner so I did wait several minutes before anyone saw me because they don't seem to have a regular hostess. Small issue but I can see why there's a complaint about wait times. Great overall though

Our server was Anna and she was AMAZING! Kept our drinks full and was super attentive to our needs. She was polite and informative, all while remaining professional. If you go in, ask for Anna, you won't be disappointed. :)

Can't say enough about the experience and service Brandon gave us! He was quick and understanding of us being on a time schedule And made sure our food was out as quick as possible. It is hard to find great service these days and Brandon exceed our expectations! Keep up the great work Brandon!

We had wings, egg rolls and whiskey club sandwich. They were very tasty and the wings were nice big and juicy. The sandwich was very tasty as well.

Nice cool, clean restaurant. It was 4pm on a Wednesday. It was 100 degrees outside and most other restaurants were closed or opened later. Great happy hour drink and appetizer prices and good service & food.

Pretty good burger, nothing crazy special. Definitely expected more by the name, but always a bit Leary in a tourist spot. Nothing special about the name when all the whiskey someone else's brand. Pretty much just a bar with chills type of food.

This is your typical American pub/bar, so we ordered pretty typical food. Prices are reasonable but toeing the line of being a teeny tiny bit overpriced.  Nothing special, but a solid option if you're spending the day at Branson Landing. Could've given me more fries, but not a big deal lol. *visited 3/28/21

Went here after a show in Branson and disappointed to find out that they only serve appetizers after a certain time. We went with the loaded fries and Thai chili wings. Both were prepared from frozen and exactly what you'd expect of a chain restaurant (not sure if they are chain but that was the quality). Our server was very helpful at the beginning but a table came in towards the middle of our time there and it was difficult to get his attention after that. Too many other options in Branson to return.

The steaks were very good, my wife and I had the ribeye. The service was good on a busy night. The ambiance was country with a whiskey bar theme. Great selection of whiskey. I had the Michter's 10 year single barrel rye for around $12, so the prices were good as well. There was also a great variety of mixed drinks for everyone's palate. Restaurant is located in Branson Landing are near the fountain, fun area!

Service was great. Very friendly and knowledgeable. The food was very good, but nothing extra ordinary that you could not get anywhere else.

Good environment for watching the big game. Had a lot of seats with great views of the television. Bartender was prompt with service and made 'em strong. Gotta love it. Didn't break the bank either. No food was ordered so there are no comments on the quality. The bathrooms were out of order, though, but that wasn't BW's fault. #yelped

Pretty hoppin place. In the center of it all at the Branson Landing. We ran into it while going to the Irish Pub across the street. We saw they had a happy hour and decided to go pay them a visit. To our misfortune, we went in a Saturday and, of course, no happy hour. We sat at the bar and looked over the menu. The bartender was friendly enough but I didn't feel her overly joyed. Just a vibe. Poor her was working the day after Christmas so I understood. They have 4 flights available. I took the flight around the world. Pretty distinct flavors from Kentucky Bourbon to Jameson. I enjoyed it but our visit was cut short because we had to go pick up the kids at the amusement park. Will visit again next time.

We waited for THIRTY FIVE Minutes and our drink order wasn't even taken. We finally got acknowledged by the bartender and still no order taken. Too bad, I was really looking forward to Big Whiskey.

We were so disappointed with this experience. With a name like this, we expected a far better establishment. We were seated and forgotten. The hostess walked by after 20 minutes. I had to flag her over and ask who was supposed to be our server. She took our drink order. And a server came over in about 10 more minutes and apologized that he didn't know he had a table to serve. It was close to 40 minutes before our drinks arrived. And over an hour for our food. Neither were that great, and we were not offered a discount for that experience at all.

Big Whiskey's at the Branson Landing is such a good place to eat. The Happy Hour is probably one of the best in town. Great service!! Family friendly and lots of tvs for sports/etc. Amazing food! ​

Really wanted to rate them higher than 3 stars but just can't do it. This place has great ambiance. It's a whiskey bar through and through. The signs all over are cool and behind the bar there is whiskey galore. The location is right smack dab in the heart of the Branson Landing. Our waitress did the best she could but it's hard to overcome an hour plus wait for food. We were a large reserved group so I can't understand why we were only given one waitress to start with but perhaps in their defense they have staffing issues. Either way we were in the restaurant for over 2 hours and after we placed our order the food came out sporadically. When it was all out there were still a couple people in our group that had no food. During all this the restaurant was by no means really even busy. There were 3-4 other tables at any given time. Needless to say, great place just needs better kitchen and staff management.

Great food. Great atmosphere. Great service. Brandon was the BEST! couldn't have asked for a better birthday night out with the family

Plus side - nice atmosphere, friendly staff. Minus side - Boom Boom shrimp? Very little shrimp, lots of fried coating. Hamburger - nothing to write home about (average). Sorry, but I would not return.

It is super slow and after an hour of waiting for our dinner, it was subpar at best. The potatoes were dry, the pork chops were also dry. Not the best experience!!!!

Very good food. Drinks (mimosas and frozen coffee) were delicious. The kids meals were generous and kids enjoyed them. Only complaint is went to order the whiskey flight and they were out of the ones I wanted to try on the flight. A bit disappointing when going to a whiskey place.

I guess they were having a bad Saturday morning. Messed up the order, gave me wrong item , chicken was not crunchy, it was burnt. Check was wrong. It was a tourist trap. Not going back.

Self seating at this joint. Staff is a little airy but very friendly. Indoor and outdoor seating. The strawberries in my salads seemed to be fresh. A couple pieces of lettuce were brown but all together not bad. The bisque was good too. I had a wild berry sweet tea which was very refreshing for a hot August day. If I came back I would try something a bit more heartier like a burger. Nice place to watch sports and have a drink near downtown.

My husband and I checked into the Hilton around 7pm, ran up to our room and changed and decided to try Big Whiskey. We literally stood at that door waiting to be seated for 5-10 minutes. Nobody came and so we walked outside to maybe go down to salt grass and they was closed so we thought okay we will try that place again... walked back in, stood there for another 5 minutes, even walked into the bar to look at the menu and nobody ever acknowledged us. The food smelled good but we will never know. We walked out and went down to Applebees.... Very disappointed.

Great service and food, just a little slow on getting drinks from the bar. Fries are deliciously seasoned and crispy! The slider meal could be an app to share!

One of our favorite sports for us to go to at the landing. But unfortunately, the Christmas tree was so loud we couldn't even hear the game we're watching tonight. We probably will pick another place more like tall tails away from the Branson Landing.

We come here a lot when we are in town, but we have never met a more rude hostess. We checked in at about 8:30pm with 4 people, requesting the open bar booth or high-top bar table, and were told it was a 45 minute wait. While he continued checking in, I walked to the bar to grab two open seats. The hostess then asked "where's she going? To take a bar table?" To which he responded I was grabbing bar seats. She was very off-putting from the start. At this point there had to be 12 open table at the bar alone, not even counting open tables in the restaurant and outside. After about 25-30 minutes, and not one person being seated at any of these tables, I went back and asked if it would be possible to get one of the many open tables. She responded there were still people ahead of us to get seated. I said "even though there are 12 open bar tables?" She said "ok, and there are 14 people to be seated ahead of you ma'am!" Ok - well being rude is one thing, but being a straight up disrespectful is another. At this point we decided to leave this establishment and go to a restaurant where the hostess welcomed our business and treated us with respect. Extremely disappointing. (By the way, we overheard this hostess being disrespectful and angering other customers while we were there)
