The pizza is for sure real quality food there. Plenty of toppings and they will make it the way you want even if it's different toppings and sauce on just a third of a pizza. The thing in my opinion is that the pizza has too little amount of sauce. But of course I got more sauce on the side.

Google
The idea of a drive up and order pizza place was great! The actual pizza was horrible. I ordered the 3 cheese with 1/2 the garlic sauce and 1/2 the red sauce. The menu picture looked SO CHEESY the actual pizza was missing cheese especially on the red sauce side. (NO fresh mozzarella) on my pizza. First and only time trying this. Cost: $19.00

First timer here. First things first, the establishment: I love the drive thru pick up window. I had a long day and didn’t feel like getting out the car then I saw I didn’t have to do that was a plus! However my food wasn’t ready on time (10min late). Wasn’t a big issue but I do think there was a disconnect with the app and the merchant. DoorDash said my food was ready but the merchant said that was just for my salad only. Once my food came out I had to ask for napkins and plastic ware (take-out pet peeve). I get my food and get ready to partake at the park. The pizza looked good. It was tasty with a spice kick to it. The little old world pepperonis were delish! There is a thin layer of sauce and not a lot of cheese would could be a deal-breaker for some. Lastly, the salad. This is NOT was I was expecting based on the description. This salad is not worth the price unless you add protein. It’s a big salad yet they only give you a 2oz. Cup of dressing. Not cool. This small cup of cheese and croutons also. Will I come back, no for the location alone but if I did I wouldn’t get or recommend the salad.

Google
Very nice inside, with very kind customer service. There is no alcohol, but the pizza makes up for it! The margarita pizza is the best pizza I’ve ever had. Lots of younger chefs who knew what they were doing. 10/10

Google
Pizza was absolutely delicious, crust was buttery and perfectly baked, not black. Toppings very fresh, sauce light and thick. Salad was INCREDIBLY FRESH, cranberry pecan worth the cost. Looking forward to going back to eat inside!! Definitely recommend this pizza if you're looking for something new and fresh.

Google
Really really wonderful- Tara our server was so cute, and the pizza is SO GOOD some of the best wood fired in the area if not THE best. This DEFINITELY qualifies as a real neopolitan style. Definitely worth going- their specials are also creative and very very very good! Update: Every time I come here I have an amazing time. Their pickup window is extremely efficient, but the dining room is really the star of the show here. First off, this pizza just doesn't deserve to be boxed up to go, it deserves to be enjoyed with loved ones while the cozy vibes hug you like grandma does. The serving tray to keep the pizza crispy while you eat is an excellent touch. Perfect balance of laid back but a tiny bit fancy, excellent date night or family dinner night. That alone is a tough balance to master like these people have. The food here is out of this world, you can just tell these people's care and know what they're doing by the way they've thoughtfully assembled each menu item, to the way they nail every order. They use a dough starter that's almost 30 years running- and I can taste all those years of mastery of this craft. Perfect balance of flavor, so addicting. Just the right amount of every single ingredient down to the seasoning. And uh, I haven't even gotten started on the meatball. The "Biga Meatball" is gonna keep me and my husband coming back for years! That thing is an incredible value first of all, and second of all, the taste!! Wow wow wow :O perfectly cooked all the way through, served mind-blowingly fast, and just as tender and wonderful the next day reheated!!! Please give this pizza place a try. I can't recommend it enough. And to the owners- thank you for practicing this craft. Your passion shows in every bite!

Google
I ordered a margherita pizza for pick up and had them add sausage. Today, I was after a thin crust pizza, and I ordered it from my phone while reading at the Kirtland Public Library to take home. It was ready when they said it would be and was honestly one of the best pizzas I've ever had. You can get a pizza any time you want, so why not get a really good one? As they say on Sesame Street, "one of these things is not like the other," and Biga Pizza does it in a very good way.

Google
Biga is an odd name and wood fired did not sound good to me. I was correct in that it tasted like..well..wood. The cheese and garlic topping was overrun by a char flavor, but if that's what you like. This place is for you. The prices are good and our server, Kate, was superb. Just be cognizant of the fact that wood fired means what it says. Sorry about the blurry mushroom pizza photo.

Eric R.

Yelp
The service and the food was spectacular!! The hot honey pizza was immaculate!! The same pizza I had in Italy, if not better. The salads are beyond fresh and taste incredible. Would recommend this place 100 percent.

Yelp
Yummy Pizza ... sooooo much pepperoni ... But if you are ordering take out, you should call or do it online. I went inside and was told they don't have anywhere for people to hang (restaurant was empty at the time). So I ordered, paid, and then went and sat in my car. Fortunately, wood fired pizzas cook quickly and I was out of the parking lot in 5 min or so. There is a pick up window that you drive upto to pick up your order. Not sure what they do if there is a line of cars ... lol

Yelp
I forgot to write a review immediately after visiting Biga, so it has been a few months now. I was in Kirtland for a church event and wanted to grab dinner prior to the event. Biga was right across the street and I love a good wood fired pizza. I do not remember which pizza I got, but I believe it was a supreme style pizza and it was very very good! The crust was perfectly chewy and delicious. A couple months later, my brother was visiting us from Idaho and I recommended Biga to him and his family while he was in Kirtland. He and his family absolutely loved it too! The service was great, a teen or young adult took our orders and was pretty casual, but it didn't bother us at all! She made sure our drinks stayed filled and was polite. The building itself is a bit unassuming and we weren't even sure if they were open when we pulled up, but we are so glad they were! If I'm ever back in this area, I'll be sure to stop in!

Yelp
Came here after a recent hike around the Holden Arboretum and we were famished! A pretty unassuming spot, but hidden inside is a woodfired pizza oven and an owner with a passion for pies...maybe some of the best in all of Cleveland! Their perfectly charred crust is slightly thicker than a traditional thin crust pizza and made for a great, chewy bite every time. We ordered two different styles of pizza to sample something more traditional and something a little out of the ordinary. The Cerino pie had red sauce, provolone and mozzarella cheeses topped with sausage chunks and roasted artichoke. The wild mushroom pie had garlic, oregano, provolone and mozzarella cheeses topped with a variety of local seasonal wild mushrooms. We simply could not get enough of these pies, and they also made for some great leftovers the next day. If we're out East again anytime soon, this place will be high on the list of choices to return to!

Yelp
What a great dinner. Staff was great. Dining room is smaller but great atmosphere. The aroma from the oven and kitchen was great. Got the broccolini, I don't normally like but was good. Wife raved about it. She got the J&B which was good, white sauce. I got the Tomato Pie and fell in love. Super simple but the crust was perfectly cooked. Chewy without being doughy, crunchy but not hard. The tomato sauce flavor was great. We ended with some cannolis and the Biga hoho for desert (to go). Good times.

Yelp
I picked up a Biga Big Pepperoni this evening. This is one loaded pepperoni pizza. I think they use aged pepperoni that gets crunchy around the edges. So good! The cheese is the best around and highly recommended. The drive through girl was very pleasant and I did not have to wait. The only downside was that the pizza was really greasy on the bottom for some reason this time. Great pie and great service.

Yelp
Superb, one of the best wood fired pizza restaurants in Northeast Ohio! Spectacular. Outstanding.

Lee D.

Yelp
We are from Chicago originally and now that we' are in Cleveland we are on a mission to test the very best pizza burgers, brats and hot dogs We bought got take out pizza on my son's recommendation . I also have a wood fired oven and make my own home made pizza and pizza dough so I know what is good !! Gotta say home run here! Biga has some of the best pizza anywhere and they have a perfect crust ! It was outstanding and I highly recommend it for pizza enthusiast.

Yelp
Fine, fierce, fresh! They've got it on lock. Mozzarella burrata plate was EXCELLENT. When it comes to setting dough on fire, annihilating tomatoes to their desperate juicy saucy glory, and melding the flavors of 1,000 cheeses, it's safe to call their work masterful. Light & airy pizzas, savory starters-- service takes some time, well worth the wait.

Yelp
8.5/10 food 10/10 service 8/10 ambiance Got the 1lb meatball, it was fantastic. On top of it being humongous it comes in a pool of red sauce for bread and meatball dipping. It's very moist for such a large meatball and was really quite good! Salad was extremely fresh, dressed perfectly with high quality fresh Parmesan, very good meal starter. Pizza was awesome. They explain a Biga is a rough starter in Italian, and how this Biga has been being improved for years and is a descendent of the same starter this restaurant began with. It's has a very nice chew and is very flavorful. A bit thicker than a neopolitan but still a thinner crust. Perfectly charred from the wood fired oven, the fresh burrata margarita pizza with pepperoni and fresh basil was a delight!

Yelp
Biga offers delicious thin crust pizzas with a variety of toppings. They offer seasonal specials featuring local produce and products. The inside dining room can be a bit loud, but the food more than makes up for it! Make sure to save room for dessert; there's always a variety of homemade options that are fantastic!

Yelp
Amazing pizzas in a cozy, friendly atmosphere. All 4 of us ordered different pizzas and they were all fantastic. Be aware that the banana peppers do come on the very hot side.
google avatar

Jackson B.

Yelp
The food is allways burnt and has the wrong toppings most of the time, all the crust is extremely crunchy. The service is bad the workers are constantly smoking every 10 minutes could be better honestly. The ambience is nice I like it but maybe a little more ventilation would be really nice.

Yelp
Stopped there on the way back from the Holden Arboretum. Nice little place with some of the best pizza i have had in a long time. The spinach salad was great too

Yelp
I LOVE Biga! We live about 25 minutes south, but whenever I am in Kirtland I try to stop there. Their crust is delicious and they use really good ingredients. The drive-up order option is amazing too. the best wood-fired pizza I've had in Cleveland.
google avatar

Yelp
These guys are still open with call ahead drive thru pickup. The menu is limited with salads and pizzas only I believe. I've never had their pizza until today. You get what you pay for here. Their pizza is artisan. It was very tasty, nicely bubbled and charred and crispy in all the right places. I could have easily devoured an entire pie in one evening. We had the Rustica white pizza. It was medium size, about 6 cut. I love to gorge myself on pizza, so that being said, I will order my own pizza next time. Paired with a Caesar salad, it was more of a light lunch for my husband and I rather than a meal. The phone order was pleasant and so was the pickup. I highly recommend this place.

Yelp
My mom came to visit me, and we wanted to try a place we've never tried. Thank goodness we came here. It looks small, but when we went in, we had plenty of seating to choose from. We got the cheesy bread sticks which were so hard to stop eating. The dipping sauce was flavorful and delicious. Service is fast here. We got the margarita pizza about 5 minutes after. And wow, I highly highly recommend it!! I came back just five days later for another margarita pizza because it was just so good the first time! Staff is so friendly and helpful also. Love it here, and can't wait to come back!!

Yelp
Best pizza in North East Ohio? Drive thru ordering? Yes for both. The pizza is fantastic. The service is top notch. Less then 10 minutes and I had 1 cheese pizza and 1 pepperoni pizza. I rated the cheese at 8.6 sauce cheese crust all the best. I'll make the 1/2 hour drive to get the best pizza in the area. Just keep it at 25 in the area around the pizza shop!!

Yelp
I have been meaning to try Biga Wood Fire Pizza for a while so when I saw that they had a Pizza Week special I decided to get there for sure. Even though the weather was a bit cool, I rode the motorcycle to Kirtland, where Biga is located on Chillicothe Road across from the High School. The building is smallish with patios on the front and side for additional seating. The decor is nice without making much of an impression, white walls with some limited decorations. The Pizza oven is at the back of the building behind a small wall. I ordered the Biga Pesto Pizza special, which due to the very hot wood fired oven came out really quickly. Overall the pizza has really good ingredients and tastes good, although it was the messiest pizza I had all week, the oil from the pesto makes for some puddles in the pizza and on the pizza pan. The crust was pretty good, with the most smoke and charred flavor I have encountered in Cleveland, I enjoyed it, but it could be a bit overwhelming if you are used to the undercooked crusts you get from many places around town. The pesto was good if a bit underwhelming to my taste, I was hoping for a bit more garlic and herb flavor. The cheese was excellent chewy and nice mild flavor. Biga makes a very nice pizza, not the best in town, but one of the better wood fired versions around town. If you are looking for a place that really puts the wood smoke flavor forward, you should give Biga a try.

Yelp
The best pizza in the state, hands down. 9.3 all day and one of my highest rated pizzas ever. Thank you Biga for continuing to be great! Bravo!

Jennifer M.

Yelp
The food and the service is great. The loudness of the music is an issue. At least in our case, carry-out is the way to go.
google avatar

Cj G.

Yelp
The dining area was wonderful and clean. The pizza was so delicious and it was plenty for two. The salads are also huge - definitely for more than one. 4 of us ordered two pizzas and two salads and all of us ate more than enough. More expensive than fast food but definitely getting more than what you pay for. It was worth the hype.
google avatar

Kitty G.

Yelp
Really good wood fired pizza here. People like different things so I won't ramble on too much. Crust really good. Sauce could use some life added to it. But overall I was happy. I'm just a hard core pizza fanatic. A little thicker and more robust with the sauce and I would have given it 5 stars for my personal taste. Loved the salad. Great service here. Great ambiance. A little pricey but Kirkland is a nice area. A drive thru window thing too. I would recommend it to a friend.
google avatar

Jeanette C.

Yelp
Had the Supreme pizza and salad. Pizza was perfect wood fired crust. Crunch on the bottom and perfect mix of fluffy/ chewy crust. Toppings were plentiful and just the right amount of gooey cheese. Salad was super fresh. Try the homemade Ho-Ho for dessert!

Yelp
I've driven by this place 100 times and never gone in. I finally went and man do I regret not going sooner. The pizza is the best in Ohio, hands down no question. Delicious.
google avatar

Kate S.

Yelp
Delicious food, fresh ingredients, and great service. Huge salads too! I would go back any day.

Yelp
We accidentally found this restaurant on a drive on our vacation visiting family. It was a modest place with excellent pizza! Service was fine but nothing over the top. We recommend Biga and will be back when we are back in the Kirtland, Ohio area.
google avatar

Crissy M.

Yelp
Extremely delicious wood fired pizzas with just the perfect amount of sauce and toppings. Salad was also delicious.
google avatar

Danielle O.

Yelp
I've had the wild mushroom and the pepperoni pizzas, both are delicious! I also tried the cranberry pecan salad, which was great! They use what I think is Great Lakes Growers lettuce, which I love. The most awesome thing about the salad is that it came deconstructed (delivery). There's a lot of salad, so that's super helpful for storing leftovers.

Louise V.

Yelp
Biga never disappoints! Pizzas are so good! Try some of their specials. Mmmm! All their salads are fresh and delicious. I love the Leafy Greens salad. Venue has outside and inside seating.
google avatar

John B.

Yelp
Not many know of this gem in Kirtland, and really glad (have it to ourselves lol). But by all means, come east you Westies!! All the dough is homemade as are all sauces. AND homemade sausage! Fantastic! Great list of appetizers and nice variety of salads. List of pizzas by read and white. They are baked in a stone oven for a great crust. Suggestion: Prosciutto and Pistachio - Best ever!! Nice wine list, with limited beer selection. Finally, homemade desserts that change often. Grab your Google map; put in Kirtland and Route 306 and prepare to enjoy yourselves!

Yelp
Ordered take out. Best pizza I've had in a long time. Great crust and flavors. Obsessed the broccolini! Will be ordering again soon!
google avatar

Cam W.

Yelp
This place is so good. The service is very fast since the fire is so hot! I definitely am tempted to stop in here every time I drive by. You won't be disappointed if you want hot, delicious pizza pie.
google avatar

Jane W.

Yelp
This little pizza shop is out of the way but one of our favorite places for wood fired pizza! The sun room is particularly a nice place to sit. Servers are always friendly, knowledgeable, and prompt. The special pizzas are particularly good, but on the last visit we really enjoyed the wood-fired broccolini and the mushroom pizza. The crust is not overly thin, and the wood firing gives it a good taste. We also ordered the Napoletano, not realizing it has very little cheese, and they were nice enough to remake it with mozzarella at our request, which made it much better. We were also fortunate to go this past week on a night when they had the double lemon pie (okay, we went there specifically since the FB page posted they were making it!). It's a lemon cream pie topped with lemon curd and is delicious!
google avatar

Sara R.

Yelp
This restaurant is such a hidden gem in our area! We had the breadsticks, the Three Cheese Garlic Pizza, and the Sweet Sausage Pizza. All were delicious and I was especially impressed by the crust- so soft and delicious. Besides the food, our service was good and quick! We were in and out in like half an hour! I'm sure we'll be back when we're wanting something other than the $5 Hot 'n Ready on pizza night.
google avatar

Yelp
If you've ever wondered where you might be able to find a small, unassuming, family owned restaurant in NE Ohio that specializes in brick oven pizza, then you can no longer wonder! Biga has a small, intimate interior with both indoor and patio seating, and their selection of pizza includes both white and red pies and a variety of fresh toppings. Is is important to note that the pizzas all come in one size, which is roughly equivalent to a small pie, are absolutely worth it due to the amazing taste! I got a red pie with mushrooms, which was excellent and more than enough to satisfy my often insatiable appetite despite the size. Make no mistake about it, Biga is exceptional and well worth the drive out to Kirtland.
google avatar

Jonathan M.

Yelp
Great tasting pizza and sides...my only negative is the price. I will go back though bc the quality is exceptional! Get the broccoli...you won't be disappointed!

Kathy W.

Yelp
Would have been good if it had not been a half hour late ice cold and missing ingredients.m
google avatar

Calvin C.

Yelp
Nothing says "we can't be friends" like a Yelp review for Biga that checks in at less than four stars. It is, for all intents and purposes, the finest pizza cooked in an actual wood-fired oven in all of Northeast Ohio. If you're too lazy to drive or too cheap to pay for quality, perhaps sitting at home with a dish full of hot pockets and a library owned copy of Back to the Future III would be more your style.

Yelp
Biga won my husband and me over, let me count the ways: 1) BYOB: we happily brought a bottle of wine to reminisce of a somewhat recent trip to Napa, opened with a very minimal corkage fee. 2) Local/Seasonal Salads A'plenty: so many delicious options to choose from, we went with the Beet, Pistachio, and goat cheese (perfect for sharing). 3) Creative/Innovative White *and* Red Pizzas: we ordered a pizza each, knowing that we would have leftovers. The husband went with the Smokey Blue (incredible!) and I went with the Napoletano (pure deliciousness). 4) We were given a pizza box for said leftovers. And, when we forgot the pizza box on our table (that bottle of wine just might have gone to our heads?) we received a thoughtful phone call at the very beginning of our drive home (they had our phone # b/c I had made reservations). We were very thankful for that call and laughed as we turned around to pick up that blissful pizza. 5) Friendly, just attentive enough, service. And, really, they cared enough to call us and let us know we left our pizza on our table! 6) Leftovers. . .we cannot wait to enjoy tomorrow (morning). Go to Biga! Thank me later!

Susab T.

Yelp
An unexpected find. Food was fantastic--goat cheese salad perfectly dressed. Lovely outdoor deck. Don't be fooled by its humble appearance, it's a great place to eat!
google avatar

Lisa N.

Yelp
Delicious fire-stone pizza made to order. You may need reservations unless you luck out and go early. Great wait staff and varieties of pizza, salad and desserts to choose from. Meatballs and salad as an appetizer then had a yummy pizza topped off with dessert. Give it a try!
google avatar

Cara L.

Yelp
WE WERE THERE FOR THE LAST MEATBALL NIGHT OF THE SEASON. If you don't know what that means, you should be really sad about it. My previous experience told me that Biga does pizzas the best I've had, salads better than I thought they could be at a "pizza place" and desserts that weren't pre-made, but delectable. Welp, this time around I relearned all the things--plus, MEATBALLS. Yes, all those caps, you guys. All of 'em! These balls are magical, perfection, the best meatballs you will ever have. I think there are 6 of them--so our party of 6 each got to try one. And just keep in mind they're smothered in Biga's effing ridiculously good red sauce. What? Yes. One was like a warning. "Please--you must be limited! If not you will eat too many and have to be rolled away!" Holy moly, roly meatballs. Biga knows what's up. That's why you should be sad. We were there for their last offering of the season, so don't expect those again until it gets a little chillier out. But in the meantime, you should go and have the best pie you've ever had. Ever.
google avatar

Sophia O.

Yelp
Best pizza in the area.... I am always looking for original, quality pizza (not the typical American chain pizza that is not true to what pizza is meant to be). I will say it was a bit expensive, BUT totally worth it as the pizza is to DIE for
google avatar

Emily H.

Yelp
Great salad (the cherry special) and cheesy breadsticks. The pizza was also good (margarita), though not as good as I remembered. Too heavy on the garlic, but nice crust and sauce. The rating is really for service. Our meal took a very long time to come and our appetizer came after the pizza. Our ordered vegetable, a very appealing wood fired broccolini, never came. Even the check was hard to track down. A disappointing experience overall - the service took away from the food and setting (a nice enclosed patio) and will keep us from returning.
google avatar

Mario P.

Yelp
First time here since new owners, will be my last. Prime time dinner time and only one person working. Food placed down and never asked if ok or if anything else is needed. Food still good, but no bread with salads. Toppings have gotten less too.
google avatar

Katie W.

Yelp
Took forever..our poor waitress was the only one on staff.. luckily she gave us our food all half off bc it was cold when we got it...but all in all the pizza was decent.

Jill W.

Yelp
Biga is in my list of top 3 Cleveland pizza places (with Vero and Citizen Pie). I will admit, I am a HUGE fan of wood-fired Neapolitan-style pizza. Pizza perfection. Apparently a lot of other people love Biga pizza too, because it's always full. MAKE RESERVATIONS via phone ahead of time! The building itself is nothing spectacular. No razzle-dazzle. There are a handful of tables in a small room where you enter, and there is another handful of tables on an enclosed patio (seating year-round). Despite the wood-fired oven in the back right corner of the main room, the temperature inside Biga is never too hot. And I've never been cold on the enclosed patio. All reviews mentioning BYOB are outdated. Biga now has a small but respectable beer and wine (by the glass or bottle) menu. But the main attraction is the pizza. Oh, the pizza. It's stuff dreams are made of. I've tried multiple pizzas here, but the simple Margherita is one of my favorites. The pizza crust is cooked to perfection. Slightly charred. Slightly crisp, but simultaneously chewy. The tomato sauce is simple, and the tomato flavor shines through without being corrupt with a zillion spices. The fresh mozzarella is smooth and a little salty. The basil is fresh from live plants you can see growing right on the counter by the oven when you walk in. Simple perfection. The size of the pizza is also perfect. To me, wood-fired Neapolitan-style pizza does not reheat well when taken home. That just means I have to eat more when it is fresh from the oven! Ha! I always order my own pizza, and my plate is always clean. In addition to the pizza, the dessert at Biga is always outstanding. It's not listed on their online menu, but there are always at least 4 rotating choices that the server will present table-side on a tray. I think it's great to physically see the desserts rather than selecting what sounds good off a list. Serving sizes are enormous and great for sharing. The main problem is that it's hard to save room because the pizza is so delicious. Service at Biga is always impeccable. The servers are always prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable. The hostess is often the owner. The cherry on the top to a great pizza experience. I will continue to eat at Biga often, and I will always suggest it to friends and family. I cannot say enough good things about this place. I love it.

Yelp
Everyone needs to experience a wood fired pizza and Biga is a fantastic place for the experience. For over a half a century, I've been a red sauce, pepperoni and cheese guy but Biga has greatly expanded my vision of a pie. Although the pepperoni is an excellent pie, just the right amount of red sauce and meat, wonderful taste, great feel, you really need to try one of the specials. Well worth the trip to Kirkland, be warned once you go there you will go back. Great place, great food, great people
