Bigfish Seafood Bistro

We had a great experience at Bigfish Seafood Bristo. The food was so delicious and fresh! It wasn't cheap but it worth it because you pay what you get. The staff was so friendly and nice! The food came fast and hot! We got 3 amazing fresh lobster with paella. Great salmon cut. Octopus and scallops! Everything was cooked perfectly! The seating outside was so nice and comfy. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a high class and delicious food! A+++

We wanted to eat seafood and just found this restaurant while scrolling through the Google recommendations. Oysters were on top of my mind and hence we came for dinner here. It is a seafood restaurant in quite a real sense - mostly has the common fresh seafood for you to pick up by weight and then cook it for you. We had oysters, fish and chips (chips replaced by spinach mushroom side), salmon and octopus. We also tried the truffle mashed potato and it was out of this world. The four items were enough for two people. Highly recommended for great food, impeccable service and lively ambience.

I went there last week with my friends, and there were both good and bad aspects of the experience. We were not satisfied with the seafood pasta, as the seafood tasted like plastic. It was definitely frozen, even though I chose it because I saw fresh fish and seafood displayed at the counter, which I assumed would be used in the cooked dishes. On the other hand, the uncooked oysters were fresh, and the fish we selected from the counter to be grilled was well-cooked. The salad bowl was also mixed with creamy sauce and oil, which made it tasty. I highly recommend dishes that only require you to choose your fish or seafood from the counter. Apart from that, the atmosphere was nice, and the service was good~~

Definitely the best seafood place in Budapest, which in the end is not such a great accomplishment since there aren't really seafood restaurants in here... But still, an excellent place to get quality seafood, and the service is adequate. The best thing on the menu is definitely the fish tacos which never disappoint. This time we had tuna tartar for starters, and even if it wasn't a culinary experience, still very nice.

Really good selection of fish which you can choose how much you want though we went for the meals on the board. Fish and chips was delicious though they looked like sausages. The chips were finely cut almost like crisps. Risotto and calamari also delicious though the former was on the small side. Yet another weak cocktail which sadly seems to be symptomatic of many places in Budapest.

Bigfish Seafood Bistro in Budapest serves absolutely delicious food. You start by ordering from the fresh selection of the day, get your number, and then they bring the food to your table. The quality of the food was top-notch—everything was fresh and expertly prepared. However, it’s definitely on the expensive side. We paid $114 (USD) for one plate of food and two drinks. The prices are comparable to dining in some of the most expensive cities in the world.

First of all it’s a very busy place but we were lucky to get there when it was half full. The staff is friendly and helpful, the service is great and the food is excellent! If you like fresh seafood then it’s your place. Only one confusing thing is that you have to choose the food in front of the cash desk reading the menu on the wall. It takes more time and a bit distracting. All the rest is great!
