Biggies in Buena Vista was amazing! The food was absolutely delicious, and Mike took the time to explain the menu and make great recommendations. He was extremely nice and welcoming, which made the experience even better. We’re visiting from Houston and would definitely come back again. Highly recommend!

We had a great visit to Biggies today! They gave us a rundown of the menus and suggested a couple of choices. Everyone was really happy with their choices. I split The Elk and Cheese and The Roast Beef and Cheddar with my daughter. Both sandwiches were excellent but The Elk and Cheese was slightly better.

I had the Spicy Italian sandwich with peppers on it. It wasn't really spicy, but it was good, and had a good amount of vegetables on it. The fries were good and hot. It was busy, which seems to be the case whenever I pass by. There is some outdoor seating, which is nice. The kitchen was definitely not short on help, and orders were out in a reasonable time.

We love visiting Buena Vista and try new places. We saw the good reviews and decided to try and we were not disappointed. The gentleman that took our order was absolutely awesome! Super friendly, welcoming us with a smile. We other the Rancher sandwiches and they were very good, and they have unlimited fountain drinks. Even though is fall and the evening's are started to get chilly, we enjoyed our food outside in the patio. We always travel with our dog and finding Dog friendly restaurants is hard to find. They even had a big water bowl for the doggies. We highly recommend Biggies ! Is right on 24 just before Main Street.

We LOVE Biggies. Every time we pass through Buena Vista we make sure to stop here. The owner always has a big smile on his face, and the sandwiches never dissapoint. We love their Gyro, steak or chicken cheese on a Hoggie, and their special for November and December "The gobbler" is to die for. Definitely worth a visit, your taste buds will not be dissapointed. Been here dozens of times and have never once been dissaponted. I always forget to get a photo of the food because im so exited to eat it. Heres a selfie of us excited to eat

This place is excellent in every aspecr!! Probably the best Philly I ever had!! The Amoroso bread was on point and melted in my mouth and the sandwich itself was so savory and tasty. I am still thinking about it days later!! The fries are similar to a five guys…exactly how I like them. Our entire meal was Chef’s kiss!! And let’t not forget the exceptional service. Can’t wait for my return :)

I've been going here for about 10 years and the food is always on point! Friendly service, fast food and an owner with a smile behind the counter everyday. If you are a local, or from out of town, this place has to be added to your list of things to try!

This place is always such an enjoyable place to go and eat. The food is delicious, and the service is always so great. The biggie is definitely the best samwhich. It is really the best place in Buena Vista and is always my first recommendation for anyone visiting or for someone who has lived here their whole life. The seating area is quite small on a crowded day and there is not too much parking. Besides that, there is nothing I would change about this place. Highly recommend!!!

Stopped here on the way to the mountains and had a great sandwich plus some chicken tenders. The tenders were huge and had a great breading. Seating and casual vibe inside and friendliest staff ever. Definitely check it out for lunch if in the area!

Buena vista is such a cute town. Stopped into Biggies after a day at the hot springs and the service was so inviting and kind! They give 3 serving options for fries and the small is actually quite a bunch for two people to split. They weren't shy with toppings on the gyro either! Great place hope to be back in this town soon

This place was very busy on a Sunday afternoon, I can see why. The sandwich I had was very good.

Definitely worth the stop if you're in Buena Vista for the green chili, Philly! The perfect amount of heat, cheese, and tender steak!

We knew nothing about Biggies before stopping in there. It turned out to be one of the best sandwich shops I've ever been in. Great service and great sandwiches in a wonderful vibe. If I didn't live in Michigan, I'd be a regular at Biggies.

This place is amazing. The Biggie sandwich is delicious. It has shaved beef in a buttery garlic sauce, mozzarella stick, onion ring, chicken tenders, lettuce, tomato with choice of 2 sauces. Best sub ever. Service is great. You'll meet Mike! Always asks how your day is going and where are you from. Nicest guy ever. Works his heart out. Food comes out fast and fresh. Hand cut fries. Ambiance is a bit crazy in the summer. It's so very busy but even with a line out the door we got our food within 10 minutes. Tell Mike Jean sent you. You're going to love this place.

The food was amazing! Service was very friendly and the reviews are true, it doesn't look like much from outside but they know what they are doing! Fresh cut fries were delicious. The sandwiches are not as big as you think from reading the menu but very filling and just the right amount of sauces.

We stopped to grab some sandwiches to go. There were plenty of options. This place doesn't look like much from the outside, and it's not very big inside, but it was busy and the food was tasty! The locals seem to be regulars here, so that speaks well for the business. It was so Much better than the cookie cutter chain fast food options. We'll remember this place if we stop through again on our travels.

OMG. Yummy stop- please go hungry. Thankful to Mike- told him how great it was and he said "we are biggies for a reason". Small fry will feed 4. We had the beef Philly delicious steak sandwich!

Every time we travel through BV, we stop here. Mike is a connoisseur of service and all things hoagie! I love their steak and cheese and though I hear other customers raving over other sandwiches, I just can't switch. Beef is epic tasty. Fun atmosphere and great team of people.

SHEEEESH. Biggies SLAPS. Odd hours of opening and closing but I know that is because staffing is always an issue in BV. This place is the bomb.com. I come whenever it is open!

Stopped in on our way back to Denver.. so glad we did Great food and very friendly staff We ordered a footling Italian to split and a large fry, the very nice gentleman taking our order said that a small fry would probably do us and he wasn't kidding! We'll be back on our next drive through!

There are sandwich shops that have fresh ingredients with solid, classic choices. Biggies has that, but also brings on the creativity. They have unique combinations of sandwiches that make you question, " why haven't I thought of this"? I mean...Steak with chicken tenders?? Steak with mac and cheese bites? Amazing! I ended up with their special elk sandwich, while my husband got the biggie sandwich. We opted for the handful of fries, and let me tell you...that's a generous portion for 2 people. DO NOT get the small fries unless you have 3-4 people. I enjoyed my elk sandwich, but I think having it as a whole cut meat is better. It was tender and tasted great, but I honestly couldn't taste TOO much of a difference. It has a slight flavor at the end that's different than beef, but I'd try a different sandwich. The Biggie is LOADED with different flavors as well as textures. It is a very heavy sandwich, but I really enjoyed every bite I stole from it. The bread is soft with a bit of chew, just the way it should be.

Went in for a biggie cheesesteak and being from incognito from Philly my expectations were pleasantly surprised, the amoroso bun sealed the deal. The cashier was kind and patient with my husbands allergies! Cool little place! Great cheesesteak I even got extra mozzarella sticks on my pizza steak, great job BV! Will be coming back again soon! I ordered a chef salad with turkey as a combo which included a soda and fries. The salad was very fresh, blue cheese dressing was delicious. Lots of turkey, bacon and boiled eggs. My husband ordered the Rancher. He says it was good. The hoagie bun was fresh and plenty of meat. The fries are nice and crispy. They taste like fresh cut. Service was wonderful.

This feels like a locally own fat shack. I'm personally not a fan of fat shack and would not have chosen to eat here had I know it was going to be on the same level. We both ordered one of the most simple menu items - the chicken tender sand which, one with honey mustard and the other with Buffalo sauce. We both got an 8inch and shared a small fries. HOLY CAMOLI on the fries, the small was MASSIVE. We ended up giving it to another family after eating a filling amount. The chicken sandwich was good and quite filling. If we were ever to go back we would share a 12inch sandwich and "a handful" of fries.

I was in town for the trail fest and a 50k. Stopped here to get some fries to go with my other food bc I am anaphylactic allergic to milk products and allergic to wheat. It's so sad bc everything here looked amazing but I was able to see the menu before I came(online). I was glad they don't bread their fries. The fries come in "handful" which was a large hand in my opinion, the next size puts 5 Guys to shame, and the highest size is a French fry party on two plates. As a fry connoisseur these are perfection. They aren't too crunch nor soggy. Fully done and the length of an actual potato. They told me they don't salt the fries, they have seasoning options on the condiment bar. I appreciate this as someone who already practically lives on salt because that day I was portioning my sodium for hydration and electrolyte balance purposes. I am super picky about food quality even if it seems like "fast food". Highly recommend this place. The staff are attentive and very friendly. They're working fast and you can hear their cadences in place to ensure order accuracy. Please be patient with them, it's not as easy as they make it look. Definitely get the fries. Have some other food in my honor bc that menu was thought out and everything on it looked enticing.

Great local spot to grab a sammy when in Buena! Grabbed a Biggie and was surprised at how well all the crazy toppings went together perfectly. YUM! The staff was super sweet and fast! I saw they made my onion ring and cheese stick for my sammy as I was ordering - happy they made it fresh. I was cleaning out my car when my sub was ready and she brought it out to me in the parking lot - how sweet! Can't wait to come back and try more crazy concoctions!

Ever since I stopped in for the first time, I make it a point to come eat at Biggies after soaking at the hot springs. When all you want is a large and in charge meal to satiate your belly and your taste buds - Biggies is just that spot. My favorite part (other than the ever-delightful staff) is that they use PUEBLO MIRASOL CHILES!!! If you know, you know. And believe me, these guys know :D Haven't had anything on the menu that my friends and I didn't enjoy. The food speaks for itself, but the lovely humans who run this place make it all the better. You take your first piping hot bite and the love just pours out. Don't take my word for it, give it a try yourself!

Excellent cheesesteak subs at a reasonable price. Friendly staff. Ambiance is lacking, but it's more of a traditional sub shop than a true restaurant. But it was clean, and the bathroom was clean, too. All in all, a really good experience!

Pretty good for lunch. Line moves fast. We get the chicken Philly. Fries are fresh potatoes, but always under cooked. They have potential though, but always a little hard and soggy.

We got a steak and cheese and a green chili Philly, both were awesome! Steak was seasoned well and lots of melty cheese. The owner took our order with a big smile and was very friendly. Seems to be a family run spot. There were a few tables inside and a few more on the patio with umbrellas.

We stopped here for the first time Friday evening when heading over cottonwood to Gunni. I believe it was the owner (if not manager) on the register - he was extremely friendly and kind. We ordered our food to go - and it all came out pretty quickly (less than 10 min), even though they were clearly pretty busy. I had a 6 inch roast beef with lettuce, tomato, mayo and provolone cheese (shredded). It was delicious - I think the amoroso sub roll makes it - and you can order 6 or 12 inches. We also had the roast beef with sharp cheddar and horseradish (delicious). To start - we had the fried mushrooms - which were really really good, and came with a spicy homemade ranch dressing (yum). You can also order just a handful of fries (great if you want some, but not a ton) - these were good - but not amazing. Excited to come back and try more of the menu!

Top 3 best sandwiches I've ever had!!! I got The Rancher and my boyfriend got the chicken tender sandwich and they were both incredible!!! Super friendly workers and just an all around awesome experience!!! 10000/10 recommend

Wow, stopped in for a quick lunch and pleasantly surprised by this awesome sandwich shop. The green chile steak sandwich was amazing, also had the grilled chicken pita, delicious and unique recipe. Highly recommended.

Absolutely unreal sandwich. They have super creative sandwiches with great taste and super friendly staff. Dog friendly with indoor and outdoor seating (with shade if needed).

WOW! So glad we stopped here instead of the Subway we passed in Buena Vista! We both had the Green Chili Philly and it was FANTASTIC. It was served fast and hot. The steak was very thin cut and whatever sauce they used was very tasty. The Pueblo green chilies were, of course, great. Their fries are very large. Their small fry is 2x the size of 5 guys and 1/2 the price. I do think that they would be better with seasoning, but they were still pretty good. Seemed like they were using real potatoes, not frozen. Update-we went back the next day and they do have fry seasoning shakers with the cups.

Good food and a good atmosphere! Very friendly staff. I had the vegetarian falafel pita and boyfriend had the philly cheese steak and both were great! Only cons are the limited hours and wait in line!

Small sandwich shop with big flavor! Get there early because it can get crowded. There are tables inside and outside - both were turning over pretty quickly. We loved the falafel sandwich, Buffalo chicken, and elk & steak special and of course the biggie fries! (Did we need two plates of fries - no! But no one whines about not getting enough. )

After a long day of exploring the girls and I were famished. So happy we came upon this shop! We opened the door to hear the staff laughing and smiles on the customers faces waiting. If that's not a good sign, idk what is. The line went fast and ordering was a breeze. The hardest thing to chose from was what to eat. Everything sounded like something I wanted to devour. But alas that can't be done. I settled on the fried pickles and a 6 inch spicy Italian. Don't judge the combo. Both items hit all the right notes! The fried pickles were crunchy and delicious. The sub, well. What's not to love?! Oh, one more note! To the guy working who had an interesting view on the Beetles, you sounded passionate and it was hilarious! Thanks for the laugh!

For the record, when Yelp reminded me to write this review, I BUSTED OUT LAUGHING. I'll never forget Biggies for as long as I live.... and here's why... Our trip to Buena Vista in October 2020 in the midst of a global pandemic was an experience, as I'm certain you all can imagine. Rural Colorado can be... well... sketchy in places. Finding good food can be... well... a challenge. Our last day in Buena Vista, it was too late to have breakfast but we didn't want a full sit-down lunch so we opted for Biggies which was just three blocks from our AirBnB. First, shout-out to the owners & staff at Biggies. Y'all are really taking social distancing, masking and being conscientious of other's health to a whole new level and WE RESPECT THE HECK OUT OF THIS! They limit it to two or three customers in the building at once. They keep you 6+ feet apart. Menu is VERY LARGE (thanks for that - some of us are blind without glasses!)... menu is very vast with some AWESOME options! We slipped in the restaurant, placed our order (we were splitting one of their large sandwiches) and then we were promptly asked to leave the restaurant and wait in the truck... wow! Thanks y'all! Good plan! So, here is why I laughed... they come out to our truck just about 5 minutes later with our order. We had ordered the Philly with a "large" fry... OH. MY. LORD. The sandwich was MASSIVE! Two of us ate on that thing for two days.... but the FRIES WERE MASSIVE! IT WAS LIKE A SHOEBOX FULL OF FRIES! NO JOKE, WE LAUGHED FOR A SOLID 10 MINUTES AT THE SIZE OF THE FRY BOX... WE ALSO ATE ON THOSE FRIES FOR FOUR DAYS! A LARGE FRY IS SERIOUSLY ENOUGH FOR A FAMILY OF 6 TO SHARE!!!! And I regress... if you haven't tried Biggies... give 'em a shot. Lovely restaurant, fantastic staff with big (masked!) smiles, super friendly, clean store front and a BIG BANG for your buck! Check 'em out!!!

Absolutely amazingly. Not something to eat everyday, but sure is an amazing treat or stop on your way through. I suggest the Biggie sandwich. Each of the employees were also so very kind.

My girlfriend and I come here every time we drive through. Wonderful food, wonderful service and people, and always clean. The cashier always recognizes us and is very friendly. The fried pickles and ham stinger are my favorites!

Driving from Durango to Denver. This was the best sandwich I've had in either spot and anywhere in-between. The owner rang us up and gave great customer service. Will be back next time we are driving through. I got a tradition Philly and the lady got the thanksgiving dinner sub.

We were driving back to Denver from southern Colorado and chose to stop here for lunch. It's a small place with indoor and outdoor seating and not a lot of parking but it was very busy and clearly very popular. They have many kinds of sandwiches to choose from and they have several variations for some. My husband got a huge hoagie with grilled veggies. I was happy to see they had falafel so I got the falafel pita with hummus. We also got the large fry to split. My husband loved his huge hoagie. We love a fresh cut fry but although the portion was big they were soggy and unsalted. My falafel was dry and only had a tiny bit of hummus but the bread was good and it was was not bad all in all. Next time I would add banana peppers and extra hummus maybe some hot sauce.

It's got that mountain feel to it for sureeee. Super happy service. We got the firecracker - so much goin on but bomb! Fried pickles slapped. Be sure to get the honey mustard! Also coming from a cali gal - the ranch is fire.

Large, meaty, cheesy, saucy sandwiches. Exactly what you want after a 14er. They've got actual roasted anaheim chiles which are properly spicy. I feel like not enough places use the proper chiles so they're awesome to see and really good here. Prices are also good and staff was friendly. Food was ready in a jiffy.

We stop here every time we come through Buena Vista. We've been here dozens of times! They make the BEST sandwiches I've ever had, although I wouldn't label them "healthy." Our favorites are the Biggie and the Firecracker. It's an incredible post-14er or post-hike meal. The staff is super friendly too.

We came in and they still had 25 minutes till closing and kicked us out after letting 4 people right in front of us! Completely rude about it also. I come here at least 2-3 times a month and this is the last time. Employees just trying to leave early!

The kindest guy upfront. Always has a smile on his face eager to recommend and explain anything on the menu. The food is top notch for what it is. The PERFECT hang over food and if you're hangry this is the place to stop. Always satisfying. A must stop if you're driving through town. We always make it a stop on any journey in that direction.
