Bigmista's Barbecue & Sammich Shop

My husband and I drove from Arizona to have the chance to eat at Bigmista's and it was damn well worth the drive! Hands down the best BBQ that we have ever had! We got the ribs and the brisket and both were superb! The meat was so flavorful and tender and fell right off the bone! We also had every side available and there was not one side that we did not enjoy from the sweet heat of the baked beans to the refreshing pineapple coleslaw. There is really no better BBQ style than Bigmista's style.

The best barbecue & southern food I've ever tasted is my from my neighbor Mrs. Callahan. She learned it from her mama and has been cooking the same recipe since then. It's true soul food and there's been nothing else that I've tasted that compares to it until our visit to Bigmista's. Bigmista's has turned into our new favorite place for barbecue. This is our second time visiting, our first visit we came and picked up some dinner. We ordered the brisket dinner with two sides ( collard greens and cornbread and the rib tips meal w/mac & cheese & cornbread. Both were delicious and surpassed all my expectations. We just left Bigmistas after picking up some lunch brisket sandwiches and again they were bomb! This is our spot for bbq!

Great BBQ with tasty sides. Prices very reasonable and portions were just right. Meat was yummy without sauce. Order comes in a to-go box. Seating is outside.

Really good brisket even in the afternoon. The plate comes with a half pound of brisket with mac and cheese and corn bread for under $20. The mac and cheese is perfect and made with real ingredients, the brisket is seasoned perfectly and the corn bread goes really well with everything. All in all...WORTH IT.

Or there is better bbq in Los Angeles, it must cook by the gods themselves. The collards greens here are phenomenal at the owners (is wife is such a incredibly warm and generous woman) let me taste so much even if I came late at almost closing time. Great ribs and love the crispy bits in the mac and cheese! The pineapple slaw is a great balance to the heavy bbq. Brisket is tasty but on the dry side. Yummy hot links. Greens are good.

Read all the good reviews and made sure to stop here while on our vacation and was not disappointed. Delicious and well worth the price.
