Google
I bought a bike for my 7 year old from Bikefix, really helpful staff and great customer service. My daughter couldn't be happier! Great price too.

Chris A.

Google
Quick return time amazing customer service honestly and more than fair prices. I got my bike back in one day time and I swore I looked at my bike thinking they gave me a whole brand new one. They really treated my bike with care and it was very much worth taking to BikefixNYC especially if you commute or work in the area, definitely coming back whenever I need something for my bike!

Google
My time at this particular bike shop was legendary! I love the homemade feeling with the overall design and feel if the place! It pays homage to our aesthetics while supporting their own brand I was in and out in a jiffy great community !!

Constantine B.

Google
Took my ebike here for a simple inner tube replacement, myself supplying the tube, and got charged $100. $100 for one tube I already provided? Absolutely ridiculous. The service felt sloppy and unprofessional, and the energy in the shop was just lousy. If you’re new to e-bikes or unsure of exactly what you need, avoid this place. There are countless other bike shops with fair pricing and actual customer care. Also, when I asked for a refund or even a reduced price, I was left on seen. Avoid this shop. Zero respect for customers.

Google
I'm giving this place 1 star because my experience was really disappointing. I took my wife's bike here, and while they fixed it okay, the way they shipped it back was a disaster. They didn’t wrap it properly or even bother to mark it as fragile. It arrived in a beat-up box, parts sticking out, and the paint job my wife loved? Ruined. Extensive damage. Even a basic YouTube video shows you how to wrap a bike with protective bubble wrap. Come on guys how lazy can you be after I spent so much money! And the place? It reeks of smoke the moment you walk in, no smoking signs everywhere or not. They really dropped the ball, especially after I stressed how much the bike means to us. Wouldn’t recommend if you care about your bike.

Google
Great experience with BikeFix! The owner was incredibly kind and helpful—he rented us three bikes for the NJ triathlon, helped us load them up, and even provided helmets. Everything went smoothly, and the service was excellent. Highly recommend BikeFix for both rentals and repairs!

Google
These are the only guys in the city who know how to fix my bike. I don't live anywhere close but whenever 4 other bike shops near me give up on my bike issues I go to bikefix and they'll bend over backwards to troubleshoot and fix any issues with my ebike that no other shop ever wants to touch with a 10 foot pole.

Viresh H.

Google
I got my Scooter fixed. They were Super efficient and quick, They did an amazing job. They are super friendly and gave me a full rundown of everything. I definitely highly recommend them. Great service and experience.🫶🏻

Yelp
When I received my Power Goat V3, I took it to LastMileNYC for some work. They told me that they only work on the brands they sell and they don't sell PowerGoat ebikes. So I went to a local bike shop in the east village call BikeFix and I really lucked up. BikeFixNYC is for anyone out there like me that spent several thousand for an ebike from California that has no support/mechanics here in NYC. Surron, Super73, Onyx, Ghostcat, Revv1, PowerGoat, you name it and BikeFix got you. They honestly do not disappoint. Plus they're honest and trustworthy. I brought my PG V3 for some new rear shocks and Greg did a phenomenal job. He also removed some pegs that I had difficulty with. I won't take my bike anywhere else!

Yelp
Needed one screw on handlebar, and asked for air in back tires. $10, ok. Gave a tip. Left shop, blew out back tire. ugh!! Back to shop, fixed tire and when I asked the price, they said $25, but I mentioned the wall sign says $20 fixed rate. I give the $20 and they argue with me, and someone not involved gets involved and I feel like I'm being attacked. I leave the shop again, and the back tire, just "fixed" is completely flat by the time I got home 5 blocks. I thought the shop was going to be OK, but I cannot recommend it. Plus, I have a completely flat back tire.

Steve S.

Yelp
The worst service center I've ever experienced. I brought my bike in to fix spokes they held it for two weeks and returned it "fixed" a week later the bike wheel collapsed because according to Will the owner he "couldn't align the wheel". I brought the bike back to re repair held it for a month he refused to do a warranty repair and returned my bike with a broken kick stand where the stand that was welded on to the frame was ripped off the frame. They destroyed my bike and now I have to sue them which I will be doing very soon.

Sam S.

Yelp
come here if u want extortionate pricing, exceptionally slow service, and an *okay* job done on your bike
google avatar

Katherine J.

Yelp
Parents with strollers! If you're facing any issues with your stroller, I highly recommend Will's services. He's amazing! Recently, when the brake on our stroller got stuck and the wheels wouldn't move, Will fixed it within minutes. It's definitely better to come here for a quick fix instead of waiting for parts from the manufacturer. Plus, his services are affordable too. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Best bike shop. the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. They take walk in and are available to answer all of your questions. Highly recommend.

Jerome T.

Yelp
I had a nightmarish experience getting the brakes fixed at a different ebike shop where they actually bricked my bike by soaking it in water to clean it up. Electrical problems are complicated to diagnose and repair, and on top of that the maker of the ebike, Juiced just went out of business making spare parts really hard to find. BikeFixNYC diagnosed the problem, told me what I needed and I was able to source a replacement display and they fixed the bike very well and at a fair price. I'll never go anywhere else in NYC!

ALi ..

Yelp
Great service! Nice team. Super efficient! Knowledgeable and affordable! I will definitely bring my bikes here for now on. They fix both e-bikes and pedal bikes. Lovely neighborhood shop!

Reza R.

Yelp
I had a bent rim that needed to be trued, and the guys at BikeFixNYC in the East Village did a great job. They got my bike tuned up quick and at a super reasonable price. The staff were really friendly and knew their stuff. If you're in the area and need bike repairs, this place is worth checking out.

John M.

Yelp
Awesome bike shop. Everything a bicycle store should be. Helpful Mechanics with great advice.

B Q.

Yelp
I spoke to Will the owner Saturday and Sunday to drop off an electric bike to assemble. It was finished on Monday afternoon the next day. Will was just really helpful and a super nice guy and I would highly recommend this business. They gave us a very fair price and the price was almost a third less than what we got quoted in New Jersey. Greg one of the workers came out to help carry the box in from my truck. I didn't even have to ask him...support these guys pls

Nikki F.

Yelp
So cheap and the guy is quick and nice to talk to! Way better deals than any other places I've been in the area, I honestly feel scammed from going anywhere else in the past. SUPPORT!

Mark H.

Yelp
THANK YOU AGAIN! Another bike shop suggested I would have to replace wheel for $100 and was reminded once again why I stick with BikeFixNYC when I took my bike over there yesterday and all they had to to was do some readjusting of the back wheel's thingamajig...and I was once again riding off into the sunset. thanks again, guys! Mark

Yelp
Great local spot. Brought in an electric scooter and they were able to help. Friendly and reliable! Thanks guys

Yelp
Took my old trusty bike in for a repair. Shop fixed it at a totally reasonable price. Another bike shop quoted me 3x the price and insisted the bike needed a lot more work (that it apparently didn't need) - these guys do honest work at a fair price.

Dollar B.

Yelp
I'm a DoorDasher and saw BikeFixNYC a while back when I picked up at a restaurant next door. Usually, I do my own maintenance work on my ride but yesterday, my rear wheel went haywire - wobbling like crazy. And when I took the bike home to true the wheel was when I discovered I was down two spokes, both of which had pulled out of the rim. It was a wrap. Clearly, I needed a new (or used) back wheel. So I googled Bike shops 10003, found BikeFixNYC, remembered the storefront, and rolled over to see what the boss could do. My dasher bike has seen better days. But it's like an old friend I don't want to put out to pasture. I was hoping to get it fixed at a reasonable price. But, lamentably, it was looking like I was going to have to spend more than the bike is worth to get it back riding safely. When I showed the boss my dasher app and told him what I could pay, he dropped his price in deference to a working stiff. Dude was a fucking prince. He actually gave me a really expensive wheel from his pile of used parts in the basement and charged me a fraction of the retail value of his work and parts. I had a horrible day dashing yesterday (you don't need to know the details) which put me in a funk, and the owner of BikeFixNYC pulled me out of it. I felt like my luck had changed and I and my old friend (the bike) could carry on. As far as atmosphere goes - the place is like the local barbershop for bikers. It ain't for swells necessarily. But that's the way I like it. He has a customer for life. This is a good businessman!

Yelp
My partner and I bought 2 used bikes here about two months ago and there has been nothing but problems with both of them. For example, on my bike there was little to no brakes left on the bike when it was given to me and the trigger mechanism does not function properly. Sure, perhaps I should have noticed this upon pick up but it didn't seem so bad at first but I'd also expect at the very least to get brakes with at least 50% left from a "certified" secondhand retailer. My partners bike has issues with the handlebar are constantly getting loose, the gears are so stiff they're nearly impossible to shift, multiple gears just don't work, and the brakes are iffy as well. Luckily we found a reputable bike shop to service our bikes with integrity and fair prices that ultimately made it worth keeping the bikes we bought. Check your bike out before riding away! EDIT: the owner of the store thought it was important to note that we spent $250 each on a used bikes that worth roughly around $350 when new. I could get a $99 dollar bike from Walmart that still has full brake that function properly. I was told I'd get road ready bikes, which wasn't the case.

Yelp
Took myNinebot in for repair. Very disappointed. Sloppy work they lost the screws. Even gave the repair guy tip the day before asking him pls take care my scooter. Scooter still not working properly! What a waste of time and money.

Tara G.

Yelp
Bought a used ebike in great condition and was really happy with the whole process. The people are great to work with and very helpful. I'll be coming back for all of my bike needs in the future.

Yelp
The best in the business & always gets to the source while breaking the mechanics down for you ! Worth the trip to Manhattan thanks. Brought both of my sons E-scooters here for repair.

Ryan M.

Yelp
I took my e-bike here for routine service once last winter and again last week to get something fixed. Both times they did a great job for a very fair price, and I really appreciated the way they explained the fix and how to avoid having the same problem again. The model I brought in isn't super common, and lots of other bike shops (especially with e-bikes) don't want to service bikes they didn't sell. But it seems like these guys are willing and able to handle just about anything. Gotta mention the chill old-school bike shop vibe also. I'll def be back there when it's time for a tune-up.

Dennis M.

Yelp
Very cool people. Will definitely use them when in NYC for rentals. Rented a Fuji hybrid and rode around the ciuty. THANKS
google avatar

Nick K.

Yelp
These guys repaired my e-bike after several other e-bike repair shops told me they couldn't help me. Victor, the mechanic, was really knowledgeable and had a can-do attitude. Great vibe in the store and great service. I will be going back when I need my next repair.

Douglas S.

Yelp
The first time I went here everything went well and they did a great job. I think the person I dealt with was the owner who was very nice and helpful. The second time was a disaster. I was told my bike would be ready in a couple of hours. I had to go to work, so I said I would return at the end of the day. When I went back my bike hadn't been touched. I said I would come back the next day at the end of the day. Again my bike was sitting there untouched. I was told they had been very busy. Fine, so don't tell people their bike will be ready in a couple of hours and then not have it ready after two days. I took my bike back and went elsewhere.

Yelp
these guys are great! my front wheel was stolen last night, and I was worried because I needed to bike to frisbee practice right after work. I dropped it off during my lunch break, and they were super fast, friendly, and helpful. when I came back I didn't initially realize what a great job they did for such a reasonable price! they really went above and beyond. will be coming back again, hopefully for a different reason :)

Elliot C.

Yelp
I've been to a lot of bike shops over the years, and I think that Will is the first guy who -- completely earned my confidence in his knowledge and expertise, identifying errors that another shop made in the assembly of my bike and quickly correcting them -- seemed to care for my bike as if it was his own, taking extra time to get things right and teach me about it -- didn't talk down to me or embarrass me over things I didn't know (in that way bike guys often do - you know what I'm talking about). I left feeling like I had a partner I could trust in the long-term care of my bike. I'll never take it anywhere else. Bring your bike here! You'll be glad you did.

Yelp
i reached out to the guys here and wanted to know how much to fix my Segway scooter. They did not have the part but said if i order the part they will install it. The price was very fair and the work was very fast. Will only go to them going forward
google avatar

Daniel Z.

Yelp
No one here wearing a mask and the guy behind the counter started coughing. Had to leave without my part because I felt unsafe.

Dan M.

Yelp
I brought my off brand eBike to several bike mechanics (4 other shops) who could not fix my bike until I found BikefixNYC. These guys were amazing. After reaching out to the manufacturer (not helpful) and spending hours diagnosing the issues, they replaced all the electronics at a very reasonable cost. It may have taken a while, but Mike stayed in touch through text the whole time and the bike is working great now. I waited 6 weeks before writing the review to make sure there were no more issues. And the bike rides like new. Highly recommend BikefixNYC and I don't offer reviews often.

John D.

Yelp
Went today to get my bike fixed after visiting Velo who tried to over charge me. William at the shop was very helpful, he got A new seat installed, post and new breaks and at a great deal! I highly recommend them if your looking for a good repair and friendly service.

Brad N.

Yelp
Needed a quick tube and new cog. Had it done for me in less than a day though they appeared to be pretty busy. Nice and easy and happy to recommend.

Mike J.

Yelp
very unprofessional service they might knwo a lot about bikes but they do not treat customer with respect and overcharge for poor service very disaapointed with how i was treated
google avatar

Alex L.

Yelp
Had my bike put together by them earlier today. Reasonable pricing and friendly staff. Support small business during these difficult times.

Carmina C.

Yelp

Yelp
I want to call out this bike shop for good service. I was out in the East Village, riding my bicycle around on a busy Saturday, and found a couple of bolts loose on my cranks. So I found the nearest bike shop (during a pandemic, just as a side-note) and I came to them with one of those problems that makes no money for a bike shop but tests whether they're good at customer service, on a busy day when they have a lot going on. I knew what parts I needed and had the tool to fix the problem, I just needed the parts. Bike shops hate this. They make no money, and customers sometimes think they're entitled to borrow tools to do the work in front of the shop if they're buying some basic part for a couple bucks. But a shop wants to do good work and be well-compensated for that, and this situation runs counter to that. Nevertheless, they were cool about it. Thy had the parts in stock, offered to do the work for me but I couldn't wait, then just handed me the parts, let me do the work on my own, offered to lend me the tool, and then charged me a couple bucks. This EXACTLY what makes a bike shop an essential service. PLEASE give these guys your business if you need something bike-related, and don't do what I did: don't expect that someone who is skilled at what they do will just give their services away for a couple bucks. SUPPORT THESE FOLKS!!!

Leo G.

Yelp
I came here to get my E-scooter fixed. They did a great job and it was not too expensive. The service was completed same day and the scooter has been working great since. I will deff be returning for all my electric vehicle needs!

Anthony K.

Yelp
Will and his team have been there for our bikes since we moved into the neighborhood years ago - I was initially disappointed when I heard he was moving, but then discovered that he was still close by on 2nd. Always helpful, thoughtful, practical with suggestions, super professional, gets stuff done how and when he says he will. Never upsells or pushes anything you don't want. Always our go-to for bike stuff big and small.

Arina K.

Yelp
Honest and quick quality service. Everyone was very helpful in the selection of my bike. Tune up was done while I waited . Great neighborhood shop .

Cynthia M.

Yelp
Awesome On point... Service is Amazing...... sexy Mechanic in the back!!! Took the time to explain everything..... purchased gear for the spring!!

Shelley A.

Yelp
Amazing service. The owners here are first rate. I came in thinking I needed new tires. They were honest and said my tires had another year. They fixed a few other things on my bike. Super reasonable prices and fantastic work. I definitely will be back for all future fixes.
