I couldn’t understand some of the terrible reviews. We came here early so we go the first order in and we thought the ramen was one of the best we’ve tasted. We had also just arrived and we starving. The food hall was empty at that point with only the coffee shop open. The bathroom is really nice and clean as well.

We came for the 5 year anniversary party and got their $5 pork mandu deal. I unfortunately didn't take a picture of it, but it was SOOOO GOOD. My friends and I are still talking about it 4 days later. The mandu are strangely shaped, like tubes, but the sauce on top was perfectly spicy and addicting. We went back for more but they were sold out!

Very flavorful Ramen, with plenty of toppings and a wonderful broth. I enjoyed my pork and kimchi Ramen, as it was my first time having kimchi, but won't be my last. The portion was filling, I would've liked more noodles, but they weren't lacking by any means. I could've used an extra kick off spice, and believe I'll ask the next time I venture out.

Pork ramen was good! Loved the broth, too! Wish the egg was more runny and less hard-boiled, but not a deal breaker for me.

This was the pork ramen. The egg was hard boiled, and the taste on this was bad. And I am a big fan of all of Bill Kim's previous endeavors, but this is a big miss.

Decent ramen, the food was good, I wouldn’t say anything was special about it. I have had better. For the price I feel like they could offer more.

Overall ramen was ok, pretty spicy. But the eggs (that I paid extra for) were hard boiled, which is borderline offensive in ramen.

Every time I have friends come visit from out of town, we stop by Time Out Market for lunch. I love the option to sit down and order from the table or order at the counter. The restaurants have a really good variety of snacks, plates, sandwiches, etc. so it's easy for everyone to find something they like. A fun idea is to come here with friends and everyone has to order an item to share. If you like to try new foods, Time Out is the perfect spot to grab a bite to eat.

The selection of food was really good and the portion sizes are valid. I got the spicy shrimp ramen and tip: don't wear clothes you care about bc my crew neck did not make it out intact. they also clear the table for you which is really nice it's loooowkey a lil pricey so -1 star

I tend to get quite overwhelmed at these open market style establishments. It is pretty amazing to find so many international selections under one roof and to have so many choices. My husband, 23 year old daughter, and I visited on a fairly balmy December evening. When we entered we all split up and scoped out the choices. There are several levels and it was fairly crowed. We had cocktails and beers from a few different shops, a lovely hamburger and truffle fires, tacos, Ethiopian, and ramen. It's amazing to have such variety!

If you come here around 11am on a Saturday, it is perfect for large groups. The space is huge so there is plenty of seating. I was able to grab a table for my group of 14 people very easily. Kids loved walking around and seeing the different food options. Grown ups also love all the awesome variety. For a group of 14 ranging in ages and food preferences, everyone was able to find something they enjoyed. The drinks are superb. They have a new mocktail list which is quite tasty. The staff here are amazing as they clean up very quickly and discreetly.

Southern bites food hit! Get the fish sandwich the next time you are in the area and need something that reminds you have the south. Real catfish too! The staff is nice and the price is reasonable as well.

Love the food hall concept. I love how I can get tacos from one place, drink from another, dessert somewhere else. Love the collaboration vibe. Looks like people leave work, go here for dinner and finish up working. I ordered food from Art Smith's place. Chicken sandwich was good, sides of fritters and Mac & cheese. The hummingbird cake was to die for!

The food is average, but the atmosphere is fun. Bar service gets slow but good drinks! Overall, a good food hall for a group - everyone can find something they'll eat/drink in a lively environment.

Time Out Market is always a fun experience. There's something really special about a food hall with rotating vendors. There's always something new that makes every visit a fresh experience. Urban Belly and Bar Goa are two of my go-to's when visiting Time Out Market. The staff are always really friendly and willing to offer recommendations if needed.

I love Time Out Market! If you are like me and sometimes just want to go out for a date night but don't really wanna get all dressed up and sit in a stuffy restaurant because you can't even make your mind up about what type of food you are in the mood for? Then Time Market is the place to be! Think of it as an upscale food court. They have a bunch of restaurants that serve anything from ramen, fried chicken, tacos, gumbo, Indian food, burgers, whatever you are in the mood for I'm sure you can find something here. They even have a couple bars mixed in with all the restaurants where you can grab a beer or a cocktail. There are plenty of seats available and the vibe gives you a bar type atmosphere. There is a DJ spinning beats and they even have a rooftop bar upstairs. It's kid friendly for most of the day, but at night people come here to either pregame before they hit the nightlight in the Fulton Market area. Definitely recommend and would be a great spot to bring any out of town guests.

Wow, Time Out Market is my favorite place after 1 visit. Markets are so fun with all the different options to choose from. The ambiance was fun on a Friday night, the music was perfect to keep the energy up. I started at the Bar and had a beautiful drink with Whistle Pig in it. I wish I remembered the name but it was the only drink at the time with this whiskey in it. If you are going get it! I had a spicy tuna avocado roll from Madai and wish I would have ordered 2. It was fresh and so worth the wait, everything is made to order so it took around 15 minutes. I also went to Urban Belly - Bill Kim and had the Hot Chicken Bao Buns, these were amazing! I also wish I ordered 2 and have not stoped thinking about these! The flavors were out of this world. Sorry no pictures, the food and drinks didn't make it that long. Take a Time Out and go here!

Appreciate time out market for the bustling ambiance, the bringing together of many culinary cuisines from around the city into one building, and for being a great spot for groups. It is a giant food hall and I would probably come back but overall felt each dish was a more expensive, less fresh/good version of what it would be at its parent restaurant. $30 won't last you too long here and it's also difficult to find parking. I think it's fine for tourists who don't have a lot of time, but if you do I think it's nice to go to the original restaurants! I will say the dumplings from QYXD were very flavorful!

Cool concept with a lot of options going on and plenty to drink and eat. In the Fulton Market area there's lots of hipster stuff popping up, including this interesting place. Time Out Market is like a big ass building full or restaurants and whatever. Basically it's a food hall. You have many cuisines to choose from, and can all share tables. Best thing to pop up in this area in awhile. It's a creation of Time Out, the media company known for online city guides. The Portugal branch created one first, then the Chicago branch opened their own version. Food here is created by some of the Midwest's most celebrated chefs. The choices include Bill Kim Asian Comfort Food. Get ramen whether meaty or plant based. There's also Tony's, which is in the rooftop. Has pretty convenient operating hours. It's open daily with the bakery being open early and the kitchens opening later. There's tons of options for meat eaters as well as vegans and vegetarians.

This is a cool food market and love the location. I've been a couple times and it's always a decent crowd. We tried Art Smith's chicken and fries and it was bit salty. I love the concept, I just wish it had more restaurants inside.

A Food Hall is different than a Food Court. Food Halls are usually artisanal and food-trucky, as opposed to fast-food chainy. They're usually in mixed-use buildings or repurposed spaces, as opposed to malls. They're usually intended to be a destination, as opposed to a quick bite during a shopping spree. And they have booze. Though I don't put this Food Hall above Anaheim Packing District (which is far less traditional, modern, and therefore, sterile), I do put it above all others, including my local standby San Pedro Market Square (San Jose), 808 Food Hall (Albuquerque), the charming outdoor Spark Social (San Francisco), and Los Angeles' historic Grand Central. Time Out stands out for being gigantic, comfortable, delicious, and handsome. Like me.

Time Out Market Chicago was a lovely food hall. Over 10 different restaurant with all different cuisines. During lunch on a Friday had a lot of seating. Overall airy with sunshine shining through. We tried Qian Xiang Yuan Mini for dumpling. Both the kurobuta pork and wagyu beef/onion were full of juice inside. Lil Amaru Pos was next on our list. We tried the pulpo a la plancha. Most of the octopus was cooked nicely and was soft. A few pieces were a little chewy. The potatoes were crispy.

Super cool place. Think upgraded food court with optional table service and a full bar. I had a bbq chicken sandwich, hubs got gumbo, kid got a junior burger, and we shared a massive shake. Yum!

I attended the espresso martini competition. Since I had never tried one before, I thought it would be an excellent opportunity to sample different ones from various establishments. The event was well-organized, the venue was suitable, and the atmosphere was lively. We were given twelve tickets and a gold coin to vote for our favorite drink. Before the tasting began, I ordered some food. I chose curry chicken, while my friend opted for buffalo cauliflower. We enjoyed quite a few martinis. My personal favorite was from Time Out, but unfortunately, they did not win the competition. UMMO which was my second favorite

I've been to Time Out Market in the past and remembered it was pretty lively and had a lot of seating. It's a pretty large food hall at Fulton Market with a variety of food and drinks vendors. I was here this past Saturday afternoon with a couple friends since we wanted somewhere to sit and catch up. They recently opened up a Qian Xiang Yuan Mini stall here and I was craving dumplings, so I got the steamed KUROBUTA PORK AND CABBAGE (12 PCS) DUMPLINGS (16.99) which were pretty good. The skin was a bit thick but the filling was well seasoned. But damn, it's a steep price to be paying for 12 dumplings. Would love to try other food stalls in the future if I'm back in the area. Lots of seating with good lighting, it's a great place to stop by to sit around and casually eat and drink.

I love time out market! This is one of the only food markets I've gone to where I would have eaten at literally any choice of restaurant. They have great high quality variety with big open space and olentu of seating. Everything is well ran in communication with ordering and picking up your food. Great place to meet with friends or even solo to grab a meal and drink! On permanent rotation for sure!

Time out Chicago was ok. Nothing to write home about. I was disappointed I brought people from my work, we were here for a conference. I was hoping the quality was the same as the Timeout in Lisbon, Portugal.

During our visit to Chicago, my boyfriend and I made a stop at Time Out Market, and it was easily one of the highlights of our trip. This place is a foodie's paradise! We decided to sample a bit from several vendors, and each bite was a masterpiece in its own right. This place always hits. There's a wide range of different food vendors - something to please everyone. Ideal for when you have a large group as restaurant reservations in the city for large groups are often hard to come by. I have dined here multiple times, but the most recent time I tried Lil Amaru. One thing to note is that Time Out kinda changes the vendors periodically. Highly recommend the octopus and fish taco!

Time Out Market Chicago is a giant food hall. So it's hard to review unless you try it all ... which I did not. I arrived late on a Sunday so I could have dinner with some friends who were in town who wanted to eat close to their hotel. The benefit of going to a food hall for a group dinner is you don't have to pick a cuisine - everyone can choose their own adventure. Which is what we all did. One friend got ramen, another got a chicken sandwich. Me, I ended up with the QXY Dumplings because Demera (who I really wanted) had basically nothing left on their menu. And the dumplings were delicious. Whenever I go to their location in Chinatown, I order the lamb and coriander dumplings. The ones in Time Out taste the same which was awesome for me. Overall, I'd go back to Time Out. I just wish they had more options that didn't involve fried food. There's so much amazing food in Chicago that isn't fried.

The guten Belly burger is really good. Not the best burger ever but it's solid. The sweet potatoes are very tasty given they are cooked with brown butter. However I did not like the blue cheese crumbles as it would be better to have a sauce to dip.

A place where you can get verity of dishes under one roof! So many choices and lots of smiling faces.

A great place to ensure everyone can get something they like. It was nice way to try different things. I wish tap water was either available to easier to find and that the restaurants were clearer about if your order would be delivered or if you needed to pick it up. There was some confusing about that part. Staff were around to run some food, and clean up trays. I loved the window roof concept, but it did get bright in the space where I was wearing sunglasses indoors.

20$ for a bad chicken sandwich plus if you don't tip at least 20% they burn your bun!

I go to Time Out Market quite frequently since it is close to my office. I love their sangria at the bar - it is perfectly sweet to me and great on a summers day. My boyfriend and I stopped by recently to get some dumplings from QXY. We got the cumin lamb and the truffle wagyu, the latter was my favorite! They were so good - the one in Chinatown tasted a bit more fresh, but this is still a great dumpling spot if you want to skip the wait. It gets a little noisy inside sometimes so it's hard to hear people. There is plenty of outdoor seating in the summer and the rooftop is nice as well!

Love all the options in Time Out Market - This place is perfect for out of town guests who don't know exactly which cuisine they want or if you have multiple people with different preferences. It's good for lunch, dinner, cocktails, and even dessert - They have it all. They have a rooftop bar area open in the summer which is so much fun when the weather is warm. Some restaurants are pricier than others in the market but there's plenty to choose from. They have an amazing rose cocktail at the bar and highly recommend trying it!

An international cuisine food hall in the round, a place where a diverse party can come as a group and one stop shop, where everyone can find their individual jam. Featuring a full bar downstairs, as well as one on the third level. Bathrooms are 2nd level, womens left side, mens right side. There are stairs, but also includes an elevator. Is the food quality the best? It is a food hall, so it's not awful, but neither is it great, it is more adventurous than your average lunch fair. It is a fun place to meet up, grab a bev or bite and hang with people.

I love going to these food courts/markets. They're not your typical food court that you find at the mall, these are actually good quality food. Timeout's prices are pretty standard since I've gone to similar ones in other cities. Yes you will find a lot of people especially during lunch/dinner time. This is located in West Loop. Parking wise, you can find some street parking as well as on the app Spot Hero. I tried different items. Service was great at each stall. Didn't have to wait long. Plenty of seating on both levels. Some of these items may not be on the current menus. -Southern Gent (6 wings on waffle) 5/5 - nice, savory flavor. Chicken wings were perfectly seasoned. Meat was succulent. Waffle was very tasty. Good size portion. -Emparogis 5/5 - very flavorful. Portions are large and shareable. Taste great with the sauce. -Kielbasa perro 5/5 - meal on its own. I love the combination of flavors on one plate. -Colombian cola 5/5 - not as sugary as Pepsi or Coca-Cola.

Are freeloaders who only came to Chicago's Time Out Market as respite from the cold allowed to review the food hall? We had just come from having lunch & dessert elsewhere & checking out the surrounding Fulton Market District, so although we took a couple laps to browse their 20 eateries, nothing tempted us to make a purchase. I thought about holding off on reviewing until I've actually tried their offerings, but I have no immediate plans to return to ChiTown, let alone their Time Out Market. The first floor has cafeteria-style seating, the second floor has comfortable lounge seating that overlooks the first floor. If I'm remembering correctly, there are outlets nearby. Prime spot for people watching & catching up with friends all while charging your phone battery. #freeloaders Modern building with a gorgeous skylight. Bathrooms are clean but dimly-lit. Touching mural celebrating the late Virgil Abloh. Cozy shelter from 40° weather. Oh, and I hear they serve a variety of food here, too.

Fun place to visit for sampling local restaurants that are mostly good. Some establishments, like Firecakes donuts, do not belong there in terms of quality and alignment with other restaurants. It would be better to have a dessert place like ice cream or bakery instead. Otherwise, this is a fun place to visit and try many different dishes across restaurants.

We had stopped by the new Guinness brewery and got hungry so we walked over. It's large! Very much a food hall experience with tons of seating upstairs and downstairs. There was also a DJ playing music. There's quite a variety of options here as well as a bar. My cousin and sister opted for ramen while I tried a vendor selling burgers and truffle fries. I felt like the food was pricey. But I did think that the portions sizes were good. I was very full. My burger wasn't the most flavorful but it was huge! And the truffle fries didn't have truffle on most of the fries but it was a large platter with thick fries! My friends enjoyed their ramen too. Large bowls! Once you order, they give you a beeper so you know when your food is ready to pick up. We sat upstairs which was clean. Staff seem to be aware when folks leave and clean up right away. Bathrooms were clean. Lots of stalls. I will add that I felt a bit older than most of the crowd. It looked to be mostly college aged folks and others in their 20s. Still, it seems like mostly a young demographic.

This is a fun place to sample different foods. I had the BBQ with pulled pork sandwich and Mac & Cheese. Both were very good. My daughter had the Udon noodles with chicken. She enjoyed the spicy peanut sauce on top. With so many places to choose from, it is easy for a family to enjoy their different styles of food.

A great food hall in the Fulton Market corridor! This place has a selection of vendors offing foods from different cuisines, as well as a bar to get drinks. A large screen sits up top the atrium where you can catch a game as well. Place is well maintained, with plenty of high top seating throughout. Definitely not a place to sleep on here in Chicago.

First time here and didn't get a chance to try multiple places! Amazing place with lots of interesting restaurants. Tony's is a bar on the top floor. On a slow Thursday night some places inside didn't have a lot of activity. Very spacious inside and lots of sitting areas on the first and second floors. Will definitely be back when I'm more hungry!

Food halls/food courts/public markets whatever you want to call the concept of a bunch of restaurants-eateries-shops all under one roof, I do not have any in my area. Or near (less than an hour away). I tend to find one when in Atlanta or out-of-town, and I deeply love the idea. Why be forced to choose one cuisine when everyone can find something(s) they like. I also love the self-created tapas aspect; get a small dish from here, get another small dish from there, drink from one spot, dessert from another. And when I researched where to take a small group of my co-workers while in Chicago, I found Time Out Market. Now are they the only such market in Chi-town? No. I'm not even sure they were the closest. But what I do know is they had a awe-inspiring diversity of choice and quality selections. Burgers, ramen, shakes, full bar, build-your-own pizza, brisket, chicken-and-waffles, hot chicken bao buns, bakery, and rooftop bar (which was not open during lunch). How good was it? Enough to go two days in a row. One day the weather kept us inside, but the second day it was warm enough to enjoy an outside table. Such a beautiful and delicious place. I know if you are visiting there places demanding your attention (e.g. Chicago deep dish pizza), but please be sure to add this to your list. And locals, I am so jealous. How do you not eat there every day?

Wide open space, with natural lighting and tons of food options. I came here to grab a cappuccino (lovely service from the barista) and get some work done. The environment is lively with great music and business people coming in and out throughout the day.

Awesome place. I tried 4 different restaurants. They were all good. Do not order to go! The portions are WAY smaller.

*This review only applies to the Billy Kim Ramen Bar* Went to the Time Out Market for the first time today and was very excited to get ramen as I had been craving it for a while now. However, my total experience was average. I eagerly walked up to the counter to place my order but this soon disappeared as my sister and I approached the perpetually frowning cashier. She gave very curt answers in my questions and only displayed professionalism when she asked me if I had any allergies. When I went to pick up my order, there were no other customers in line and the same cashier was standing near my order. She didn't greet me as I approached the counter. Once I reached, I looked her square in the eyes and said thank you. This woman didn't even flinch or say anything! She should be trained or fired since she lacks even the most basic manners. When I went to Time Out, I didn't think I would encounter an employee who needed a time out herself!!! Despite the disappointing customer service, I had hope in the food. The food came out fast, which was a plus. I ordered the pork ramen and it had its own pros and cons. The pork itself was good but not breath-taking. The kimchi in the dish was delicious and it saved the broth as it was kind of bland without it. I loved the cilantro in the dish because it gave a fresh taste to a rather heavy meal. The egg was upsetting on the other hand. The rude cashier told me their ramens only included a hard boiled egg. I agreed to have it in my meal, but I found this to be weird because soft boiled eggs are usually included in ramen. Hard boiled eggs are better suited for salads. The egg was cooked perfectly, but the dish would've been better off with a soft boiled egg. Overall, the ramen was average and nothing to write home about. I won't be returning to this stall the next time I go to Time Out. I will try food from other vendors.

Lively environment with lots of options (and mini versions of local restaurants), an upstairs and rooftop area which is nice during be summers. A good place if you want a more casual environment but still want decent food

I ALWAYS come here when I want to impress my friends from out of town (and frankly, even the ones in town). Time Out Market has utilized it's spacious interior perfectly: 1st floor - cafeteria vibe with high-end food options for even the pickiest eaters. I love the unique drinks and bustling sound of people having fun. 2nd floor - slightly less crowded, loft feel with trendy bleacher style seating (my personal favorite for people watching). 3rd floor - rooftop bar! It has both indoor seating and nice outdoor seating. It's not too high and quite casual so you don't have to dress up. Time Out Market is pricey but you get what you paid for! Try coming for happy hour and you won't be disappointed. - AT

After timeout market removed their self service water stations, be aware you also can no longer ask for tap water at the bar. The bartenders will not serve free tap water and will make you pay for bottled water. Even for paying patrons of the food establishments, no free tap water (and no self service stations). This is irresponsible and questionable for an establishment to deny tap water when they are meant to serve families with kids as well as bar patrons who are drinking alcohol.

Libanais Kitchen inside Time Out Market is an absolute gem for anyone craving authentic, flavorful Lebanese food in the heart of downtown Chicago. From the moment I approached the counter, I was greeted with warm smiles and friendly service, which made the experience even more enjoyable. I ordered the Beef Shawarma Wrap, and it was hands down one of the best I've ever had. The beef was perfectly seasoned and cooked to tender perfection, wrapped up in soft, freshly made pita bread. The wrap was packed with vibrant flavors from the fresh veggies and tangy garlic sauce, with just the right amount of pickles to add that zesty punch. What truly elevated the meal were the fries that came with it. They were crispy, golden, and seasoned to perfection. Each bite had a satisfying crunch, yet they remained soft and fluffy on the inside. It's rare to find fries this good, and they paired so well with the shawarma. The portion sizes were generous, and I left feeling more than satisfied. Whether you're grabbing a quick lunch or looking to try something different while visiting Time Out Market, I highly recommend Libanais Kitchen. It's authentic, delicious, and the perfect spot to indulge in flavorful Lebanese cuisine. Definitely a must-try!

Quality/Quantity - I am glad public markets are back in fashion. I have always liked them. And now they are becoming more and more upscale. See pictures. Happy hour is also available. Atmosphere - 3 floors of places to eat and drink, see pictures. 21+ options. Rooftop bar. Events, shows, fundraising, art, watch parties, DJ, story time, etc. See website. Indoor/outdoor, bar seating. Open 7 days a week, see individual businesses for hours. Service - Good, but many businesses close early on Sunday... Price - Depends what you eat or drink, see menu pictures. Owner Comment - Congrats on all your success since 2014 with your 7 locations throughout the world.

Time out market is a trendy food hall filled with food stalls from some of the best restaurants in Chicago . Most of the food is fit for foodies however you will also find everything from burgers, hotdogs, grilled cheese , donuts and shakes for less sophisticated palettes. A variety of cultures are represented in the types of food available ( eg Greek, Ethiopian, Lebanese , Indian , Asian fusion etc ). I went with the vegetarian Massob at Demera ( delicious !) and my dining partner chose a Greek salad with chicken from Avli ( she loved hers too ) but there were a gazillion other options I could have tried. Next visit I likely will go for the cuisine from Urban Belly ( the dumplings looked awesome ) . Everything looked enticing. We went for lunch and it is not cheap for lunch ( think about 25$ a person) but I suppose that is typical for the neighborhood and prices at restaurants these days. I will come back. Great place for visitors to Chicago , teens, college kids, young professionals, pretty much anyone . Great place for a group with varying palates- everyone should be happy with something here. Seating is at long wooden benches. This is a huge place with an all day breakfast spot on the second floor as well as a lounge area with some cute ( and sort of random ) seating as well as a third floor with a roof top bar with small outside seating option.

Great spot to come hang out with friends or for me stop in for a quick snack and drink before dinner reservation. Looks like there are many more vendors moving in soon also.

I have been here multiple times and I love this place. There are three levels: first level has all of the food options and 2-3 bars. The second floor has more spaced seating and a few bars. And the top floor is a really cute rooftop bar and a great place to be outdoors in the summer. The food options vary from dumplings to Mediterranean to southern bites to dessert and everything in between! They have plenty of bathrooms and accessible seating for families and all folks. It's really simple to order and the food usually comes pretty fast. I love coming here with a big group. Definitely will keep coming back.
