If you haven’t tried Bill Miller’s brisket tacos, you’re missing out on pure happiness wrapped in a tortilla. The brisket is juicy, smoky, and so tender it practically melts in your mouth. Every single bite hits with that perfect Texas flavor. The bacon and potato tacos are another level... crispy on the outside, soft and flavorful on the inside. Just perfection. The restaurant smells amazing, the service is quick, and the vibe is relaxed. But fair warning: don’t order the small drink unless you’re really just thirsty for a sip. “Small” here means tiny, blink and it’s gone. All in all, Bill Miller BBQ never disappoints. Juicy brisket, amazing tacos, and pure Texas goodness.

I gave this place a 2nd chance by ordering something different. There won’t be a 3rd chance. It’s gross. This time I had the chicken bbq sandwich. First off anything barbecue a lot of it is the sauce the sauce doesn’t even taste like a tangy barbecue flavor. It taste like a cross between water down ketchup, and I’m not even sure what else I can describe it as it does not taste like any sort of traditional barbecue sauce, sweet yet tangy not even close. The sandwich roll was supposed to be toasted so the sandwich wouldn’t be Soggy from the fake bbq sauce- didn’t realize how nasty the bbq sauce was going to be. I had potato salad for the side and the potatoe salad was I kid you not It looked and tasted like white mush. The potatoes are overcooked that if it’s even homemade which I doubt yes it was white mush doesn’t look like there was any celery or mustard in it white and soggy mush. That was gross also unfortunately. The unsweetened T is super super strong guess it needs 10 packs of sugar but that’s un me.. I can make better barbecue hands-down in a slow cooker with tasty barbecue sauce. And I could definitely make potato salad. That’s 100 times better than potato salad. I guess Bill Miller’s is a big thing in San Antonio. I’m not from Texas so maybe this is what the locals are used to. Location I went to is in Cedar Park Tx. Rudy’s BBQ would be better choice.

What a pleasant surprise discovering this restaurant chain when I moved to Texas several years ago. I get the impression they resisted raising their prices as long as possible after covid, as opposed to so many other chains. Good food. Generally good service, though a couple times have gotten a cashier that seemed like they had other priorities. Clean.

I just came from here and the food was not good at all. I ordered the fried chicken, brisket, fries, and a lemonade. I decided to get the 4 piece chicken: 2 breasts and 2 wings, even though there was an upcharge for specifying chicken pieces. But they gave us some strange looking thighs. These were overcooked and extremely dry. The amount of breading was ridiculous, considering that there was barely any meat on it. The brisket was barely ok. I would recommend Smokey Mo's or Agape. The brisket's flavor was lacking and just not good. The fries were ok, but they tasted like they were fried in chicken grease. And they included a biscuit, but that thing was so dry, it was ridiculous. Overall, just avoid this place, unless you only want a good lemonade.

Google
I doordashed a dozen tacos and a large soda. the drink was called " bucket soda". It was a large drink alright! because it came in a literal BUCKET! The food is great here and they literally tell you exactly what you're getting. I got a dozen tacos and a BUCKET of soda. Not a bad thing. delicious tacos and a good laugh. Just wish they gave me a straw for my bucket. haha

Google
I had a great experience at Bill Miller today! After accidentally ordering tenders instead of chicken for my family meal pack online, I went into the restaurant. Johnathan quickly confirmed they had started my order but assured me it was no problem to fix. Jennifer was also incredibly accommodating when I asked for extra pickles and onions, providing a large container without hesitation. The chicken was super fresh, and while I find the brisket to be just okay, everything else, including the great value of the meal, was excellent.

Google
There's something off about this place. When looking at it...the food looks delicious, but when you taste it...it's not. I have trying the BBQ and the fried chicken, even the breakfast. I haven't had a satisfying meal yet.

Google
Good location, tacos are great- egg & sausage, egg and bacon and bean cheese. Inside was mostly clean and staff was friendly. Bill Millers doesn't disappoint for breakfast.

Yelp
Service was good, was greeted right when we got in and the server helped us with our order right away. It love their potato and egg tacos, and their salsa is always good! Simple breakfast tacos just fuel you up for your day!
google avatar

Yelp
First time visiting this restaurant! I really liked the cozy, country-style vibe inside -- it feels warm and welcoming. We ordered a few breakfast tacos: egg and potato , bean and cheese, and bean and egg. Personally, I enjoyed the potato and egg taco the most -- it was flavorful and satisfying! The bean ones weren't quite my favorite, but that's just personal taste. As a vegetarian, I found the menu a bit limited, but I still appreciated the options available and enjoyed what I could have. Looking forward to trying a few more items next time!

Yelp
always amazing meat. i get the brisket and dark meat chicken. perfect everytime. fries left some to be desired like salt or seasonings but still yummy.

Tee L.

Yelp
Bland food, no music just blasted football game on audio, looks like poor management and going downhill. Such a shame used to be a gem.

Yelp
My sister-in-law was in town from California and she wanted barbecue. It was almost 7 PM so I think it was close to closing. The staff was very kind. The salad was great. The potato salad very good green beans good as well. The chicken was so dry. The brisket was in tiny pieces. The ribs were OK. I'm gonna say that it was close to closing and this is why that happened very disappointed, here's the biggest issue I had our bill we ordered the three meats with three sides. We ordered a salad and we're not told it was an up charge ordered two dressings were not told that one of them was going to be an up charge ordered a water and was charged $.55 was not told. Anyhow went to the register after our meal, and the girl explained everything fine, but we should've been told upfront. She apologized!

Yelp
I don't understand all the low ratings. It's not Franlklin BBQ but the food is fresh, cheap, and fast. Usually the employees are pretty kind and helpful. Remember to ask for the marbled brisket and don't sleep on their salsa (that for some reason they call "hot sauce".) Put it on their hash browns or French fries. It's delicious. The sausage is also great. If you're missing Thanksgiving, order some smoked turkey with the giblet gravy. Gobble gobble! Green beans and cole slaw also hit the spot. Breakfast tacos are a good option too. Don't forget to wash it all down with a half and half tea. Dining room has plenty of seating but drive thru is also a good option if you're on the move.
google avatar

Yelp
Where are the eggs? Egg prices are back to normal, REALLY!! I normally don't write reviews, but this is getting ridiculous.

Yelp
We went here this evening after being in cedar park and decided to eat at bill Miller and it was great we had a regular dinner with brisket, beans, coleslaw and fried potatoes plenty of food and a good price the other meal was a brisket sandwich with beans both with drinks We were waited on promptly and our food was delivered to our table the dining room was all very clean food was tasty fresh and hot we will definitely eat here again

Jose L.

Yelp
They messed up our order and then proceeded to cuss us out after calling them about it. We weren't even rude or anything . Honestly one of the wildest interactions I had with a restaurant. EDIT: higher management reach out and fixed the issue. Thank you.
google avatar

Krystal S.

Yelp
Updating to 4 star since my bad experience with the food does seem to be a one off situation. Overall the food seems to be good. As I said before, service is neutral; not great but not bad either. No experience inside to have an opinion on the decor.
google avatar

Frances W.

Yelp
These were the worst bacon and egg tacos. I went to the counter to ask and show them that these tacos had hardly any eggs in it the cashier. Anjel RC let me know that that's all the eggs they put in it that was not a scoop of eggs. If you're looking to feed a toddler, these are the best toddler tacos. Customer service rep could have just put some eggs in there, but she refused with an attitude. I am kind walked away.

Rick B.

Yelp
This a poorly managed restaurant. I can't tell you the times I've gone and I'm told they are out of something . They are always out of chicken or even believe it or not , Fries! One little high schooler server became indignant the other day that my daughter insisted they bring her the fries she ordered. Customer service is not valued at this location.

Dj b.

Yelp
Always great tacos ..fresh and hot..carne guisada is my favorite ..a must try . Beans are flavored and sausage is great.

Lisa C.

Yelp
If you get a to go order, check it before leaving. They have routinely left items off of drive thru and inside to go orders. This will limit me from returning. Too much work on my part for what they should be doing for their custermers. Don't understand how hard it can be to check the order before giving to the customer.
google avatar

Yelp
Great breakfast tacos (bacon potato egg & cheese) with big hearty chunks of potato, and not a bad chicken fried steak. Quick and easy
google avatar

Courtney B.

Yelp
I have been to many Bill Millers from here to San Antonio, accordingly I am every familiar with that is offered. If you haven't been this location before, you aren't missing too much. The last time I came to this location was last September (see receipt). The barbecued beef on all of the combo meals were very fatty and left little to be desired. This is unfortunate as the these are to be the stars of the meal. Based upon this meal and had I never been to Bill Miller before, I would not return.
google avatar

R H.

Yelp
There maybe better BBQ and Fried Chicken offerings nearby. But the breakfast options are great at Bill Miller. My favorite is the sausage egg and cheese biscuit. Eggs are nice and creamy, biscuit is fluffy and soft, sausage is tasty. Tacos are good. Breakfast bowls are great. Iced Tea is excellent.

R E.

Yelp
When we need to get a bbq fix, Bill Millers is the place we choose. The food is good as are the prices. Its basic Texas bbq and sides.
google avatar

Joshua G.

Yelp
The taco is an art form perfected over many years of trial and error. The tacos themselves are pretty good but I feel like they would benefit from a more measured approach to their "bacon" : "egg" ratio. Sorry Bill... These tacos are just sad

KC C.

Yelp
Train your staff (especially store management) to understand the value of good customer service.
google avatar

Chip L.

Yelp
First first visit: Meat didn't cover my sandwich, I was told I'd have to purchase jalapeños if I wanted them on my sandwich and had to get back in line to get more bbq sauce. Probably won't be back

Daniel A.

Yelp
Do not eat here if you want bbq. They serve roast. Fried chicken is ok. Breakfast tacos are decent.

Yolanda V.

Yelp
awfu! worse food ever that I got sick. drive thru service is the worst because it's unseen till u get home. chicken strips were DRY and overcooked, didn't finish them and fries the same. service is going down the drain.
google avatar

Grant P.

Yelp
In a pinch, sure, it works, but their breakfast tacos are sad, and the brisket always dry ‍

Carl R.

Yelp
My wife and I went through the drive through and ordered 2 brisket plates with side orders of coleslaw and potato salad and 2 sweet teas to go from the Bill Miller Bar-B-Que at West Whitestone and N. Lakeline in Cedar Park at 7:09 PM today. When we got home the first thing we noticed was that we were given beans instead of coleslaw. I then looked at the main entree part of the plastic container and was shocked!!! The brisket did not even cover a half the the entree section and was very fatty and limp like shredded beef. It was such a small amount that 4 bites and it was gone. The order was not as requested, the meat portion was extremely small and did not resemble normal cuts of brisket you normally see at any bar-b-que place. Definitely a poor value for the money spent. We will not be returning.

Shannon K.

Yelp
So decided to stop by for breakfast tacos sat in line for 20min finally had gotten to the speaker at 12:05 was denied tacos with egg was told that the breakfast times had changed with items that had egg or bacon ok then was told cut off time was 12pm on weekends ok I've been on line 20min and was denied nothing on their menu stated anything about this cut off time so it kinda pissed me off especially sitting on line so long just to be denied something that I was with in time for then I had to sit in line for another 15min trying to exit the line while trying to exit the line I notices signage on the dumpster surround stating the new schedule for egg tacos. Very poor customer service experience for a first time guest at this location I won't be back.

Yelp
Grew up going to Bill Miller's BBQ in San Antonio. It's not a high-end place, but they do offer a great simple breakfast (tacos, biscuits, etc.) and a good fried chicken and basic BBQ. Very happy they just opened this location in Cedar Park! Ordered a Combo Meat Plate (good lean brisket & yummy sausage) and a sandwich. Very good for the price and happy to know there's another affordable BBQ place in the Cedar Park area.
google avatar

George N.

Yelp
Wow!! Slowest service. Was just in there took close to 20 minutes for two tacos. 6-8 employees in the line with no rush in the world. I now see why they have such a low rating. Disappointed for sure.
google avatar

Stephanie S.

Yelp
So my family isn't a huge fan but I really like their chicken strips. General consensus if we aren't huge fans of the sides but the chicken strips and ranch are great!
google avatar

Tom K.

Yelp
The emphasis here is on value. Less expensive than other BBQ places in the area with sufficient serving sizes. You walk down a serving line as they prepare your order and pay at the end. They do accept Apple Pay but do not have WiFi. Wife and I had the quarter BBQ chicken plate with two sides and tea. The bill was $18.00 out the door, about $10 to $12 cheaper than similar local places. Portions not quite as large but certainly ample enough for a meal. They feature several popular types of pies as well, but we passed on Thales. The fried chicken looked good, so will give it a try next time. Vegetables were very good. They have the best cream could corn I've tasted. The hash browns were old school where the potatoes are thinly sliced then fried to a golden brown. Other sides include green beans and pintos and French fries, all on a steam table. There is a condiment bar in the dining area with onion, butter, cold dinner rolls, bread, pickles, and lime wedges. But they didn't have any lemon for the tea? No idea why but I don't care for lime in my tea. Otherwise the tea was very good. Will definitely be back to try the BBQ pulled pork and ribs and that fried chicken. Not a fan of brisket, but they have that and sausage as well.

Shraddha C.

Yelp
Amazing Ribs but salty for my liking. Brisket was a bit dry, wouldve expected it to be a little more tender. The sides were ok. Overall good neighborhood BBQ place !
google avatar

Gabriel G.

Yelp
This place has history going back to its roots in San Antonio. I am talking about Bill Miller in San Antonio. back when there were not many BBQ places anywhere. with so many great BBQ restaurants now they have fallen down the list of great BBQ. but they have pie! plus fried chicken! so you have more choices. very convenient to use drive through.
google avatar

Meday P.

Yelp
I got food from here many times, they are very busy. I appreciate the older lady who works here that she's very friendly she will come to you to make sure that you are taken care of. So does the tall good looking white male, he's professional and well mannered. 5-1 stars because there is one girl who is a bit shabby with fake eyes lashes and makeup that's not so nice her face is very mean and does not talk nice. I love the breakfast bowl it's a good combination and very filling.
google avatar

Shirley B.

Yelp
Like many BBQ places, Bill Miller has overhead menu boards and a roped off line to queue up in as you order. Food: Any one of the combos are a good deal. An entree, fries, and a drink for about $7-$8. I had the #2, which was three pieces of fried chicken. They allow you to substitute the fries for a baked potato, which is amazing as it could easily be an up-charge. You'll help yourself to condiments and rolls at the bar. Food comes out hot and fresh. Fried chicken has a good batter and crunch. Baked potato was perfectly cooked and you're able to add bacon bits, cheese, and sour cream to your liking. Service: Counter-style like similar restaurants. Staff are courteous and friendly. Happy to refill drinks when requested. Cost: Two meals off the menu board ran us $16.81. Overall: Good value with what you're getting. We didn't have the same experience some other diners seemed to have, so this review reflects that. Place was clean, dedicated parking right outside, and they have a drive-thru if you don't want to eat in. Takes cash/cards.

Yelp
I came here as plan B. Wasn't sure what to expect. Walking in there is the food ordering area to your left. I followed the rope pathway like they have in a airport check in area. The menu is above the food. They have BBQ, Fried chicken, salads, sandwiches, and plates. I decided on their Wrangler plate, which is one meat and two sides. They assumed brisket but I wanted sausage. The sides are mashed potatoes, French fires, potato salad, hash browns, slaw, pinto beans, green beans, and Spanish rice. My choices were slaw and green beans. Now I totally missed the trays but the cashier was nice enough to run over and get me one. I also got an iced tea. It was under ten dollars. I found a table and unloaded my tray. The utensils are plastic. Keep that in mind if you plan on doing a lot of slicing. I tried the slaw first. Was pleasantly surprised that it have a vinegar base dressing, tangy and fresh. Next up the green beans, they are cooked with onions and tomato sauce. It wasn't bad, actually needed salt and pepper. As usual in the south, beans were cooked to soft texture. Last up was the sausage as I was trying to cut them in eatable pieces. Very difficult as the skin was tough. The taste wasn't bad but just average. I made the mistake of asking for sauce and not specifying on the side. The sauce, what can I say. To me it tasted like doctored up ketchup. It was sweet and vinegary. It was okay in small doses but my sausage was swimming in it. This would be my first choice for BBQ but I would come again.
google avatar

Michael S.

Yelp
I decided to give this "bbq" spot a try. It was a bad decision and I should have went with my instinct and walked out before ordering. The staff was unfriendly. The restaurant was not inviting and not what you'd expect at all for a BBQ restaurant. We ordered the 2 chopped sandwich meal with fries, potato salad, and macaroni for the side. The server brought our food and slammed the tray on the table. We took 1 bite of the food and it was instant disappointment. Stale bread, very little bland meat on the sandwich and the sides were gross as well. After the 1 bite we decided to leave and go find a lunch worth eating. I don't like wasting food but this I wouldn't eat or feed to anyone. Don't waste your time here and go to any other bbq restaurant instead.
google avatar

Michelle J.

Yelp
Great drive through. Delicious ice tea. We get it by the gallon to go. BBQ and fried chicken fingers are good. Green beans are delicious.
google avatar

Manik K.

Yelp
I tried the food here a couple of times because i used to love their franchise in San Antonio. But i must say I had Worst ribs and tacos Here. Literally had to throw them in the trash.

nick g.

Yelp
I only ever get the breakfast tacos, but the people at the counter almost never check to see who's waiting to place an order. That is by far the most annoying aspect of this restaurant and most of the time I'm picking up my DoorDash order. Food is decent but the service more/less sucks. I'll still get my tacos but holy hail, would it ever kill them to turn around and ask how they can help you? 4 stars for food. Minus a star for service.
google avatar

Wanda H.

Yelp
No pulled pork??? That's just craaaazy! Hubby and I split a 2 meat plate. He picked the turkey and I picked the brisket. Both were good. For sides, we got green beans, coleslaw, and pinto beans. All were okay. Nothin' to really write home about, but sufficient. NO PULLED PORK??? That just seems wrong...

Kevin B.

Yelp
The bbq is okay, does not compare to the better bbq places in the Austin area, however food is reasonably priced, and the sides are good, like their sweet tea. They have pretty good breakfast tacos too.
google avatar

Austin E.

Yelp
The atmosphere and seating were great, the service and prices I suppose were reasonable. Other than that, Bill Miller left much to be desired. This is another one of those BBQ joints where their offerings are just high enough quality to be barely acceptable. Where the ingredients are slightly superior to school cafeteria quality, but they try their darndest to pass it off as good food, and you have to pretend it's good food if you want to enjoy it. I wanted a baked potato, and the person who took my order told me I could get a one with meat added for $5. So I did... and I was tempted to laugh out loud at what I received. Literally just a split potato with brisket slapped on it. No cheese, sour cream, butter, veggies, herbs or spices. The waiter asked if I wanted the cheese and I accepted. He hands me a to go sauce cup of the saddest, yellowest grated cheese money could buy. It didn't even look like real cheese, probably wasn't. Thankfully they had the topping bar that included all the baked potato essentials, as well as the all-you-can-eat minimal quality filler-upper rolls that should probably just be thrown away instead, but these all looked and tasted like they came straight from Walmart. It all came together in a sad thing that was quite bland. Even with the butter, sour cream and cheese, nothing saved this meal. I was here with my dad, who ordered the Rancher Plate. Everything on that plate, including the banana cream pie he also ordered on the side also looked and tasted like store-bought/school cafeteria quality. What happened to this place? I'd heard good things about Bill Miller BBQ, so maybe it was just because this was a new location? Doubtful. I would choose Smokey Mo's over this place EVERY SINGLE TIME.

Yelp
Bill Miller's opened today (Sat. 10/13/2018) just 5 blocks from my house in Cedar Park, Texas. This is a great BBQ restaurant that started in San Antonio in 1953 selling fried chicken. There are now 73 Bill Miller's in Texas. I first started eating there regularly in 1984 while stationed in San Antonio with the U.S. Air Force. There was a Bill Miller's about half a mile from the the Wilford Hall Medical Center gate on Lackland AFB. Bill Miller's is known for their iced tea which is always freshly brewed and never has that old sat around all day in an urn waiting to grow mold flavor you often encounter in many restaurants and convenience stores. Yuck! The line was long but the staff were quickly assisting the customers and I only waited about 6 minutes in line. Friendly and nice staff. A representative from the cooperate office was there greeting customers and handing out menus. Could not resist the spare ribs. I got the 5 rib plate with NO sauce. Didn't want to cover the oak smoke flavor even though they make a really good sauce. Save that for the sausage and brisket that I will get in the near future. The ribs had a perfect amount of seasoning to compliment the smoke flavor. Juicy but not fatty and with a large amount of excellently cooked rib meat. For sides I had the green beans, sweet cream corn, and hash brown casserole. I had forgotten how good their said are. I ate all of the sides first and saved the ribs for last. Can't forget the dark bread and the pickled onions. Both are excellent and bring back lots of good memories. Although BBQ is their name, they still serve fried chicken. It looked really good in the serving line and I will have some of it soon (images forthcoming).

Yelp
I'm not sure what people love this place. They are known for their tea, but really is sweet tea. Been here a few times and always though it was average at best. However, last time we came here we ordered a brisket taco for our son and the entire thing was fat. Poor kid ate most of a slide( taco comes with 2 small slices) before we realized it was all fat. I looked at him eating it and it looked like he was about to vomit but wanted to eat it to not get in trouble. Went to the counter to complain. The girl at the counter who didn't want to be there sent it back. About 10 minutes later still nothing and finally a manager asked. Told her the situation and within a minute she made a new brisket taco with lean meat. Glad she was able to help.
google avatar

John S.

Yelp
Well, I'm not an expert on barbecue but I do have two sons in law that are very expert in the art of barbecue. Most people know what to expect at Bill Miller's. You get good value, reasonable prices. This new location in Cedar Park is a welcome addition. They really cleaned up their corner lot that is also a gateway to the Carriage Hills subdivisions. This review is about the employees. I have owned and operated several restaurants in the Northeast so I am qualified to offer an opinion on Bill Miller's employees, at least in this location. Every one of them is working hard. Every employee seems quite young but they all have welcoming personalities. Every employee seems dedicated to getting orders right each time. They all seem to be well trained and know what their job is. they can answer questions well and politely. So, to Bill Miller's H.R. staff, well done !
google avatar

Rodolfo P.

Yelp
Great tacos!!! There peach cobbler is also good. You can't go wrong with there sweet tea.

Yelp
Hadn't been to a Bill Miller in years, and decided to give this new one a shot. The good: The staff was obviously trying really hard. They were attentive, enthusiastic, and friendly. The coconut cream pie was really good, and not overly sweet. Even better was the fact that we got it for 1 dollar a slice since they had extra left at closing. The green beans were a pleasant surprise as well. The facility itself is clean and new. The bad: The staff is still obviously coming up to speed. Despite their best efforts, there was a general feeling of chaos when things got busy. More importantly, the BBQ was sub-par. Even though the food here is much cheaper than other BBQ places in the area, you get what you pay for. All in all, if you are looking for a cheap place to eat, which will keep your kids from complaining, this is a great place to go. If you are looking for a world class BBQ experience, dine elsewhere. This place will never make Texas Monthly's top 50 list.

Beann B.

Yelp
Breakfast tacos were delicious. The bad part is my brisket taco had only one slice about a teaspoon size. But they was pretty fast to bring the food out. The lady's at the counter were really nice to us. I will definitely be back.
google avatar

Rashaka B.

Yelp
I spoke with management about my review. Let's just say nothing was rectified. Expect the same service from this location and their terrible management.
