Hello to All..
Being originally from San Antonio this breaks my heart to have to tell this story about my favorite BBQ restaurant.
We went into the restaurant in Portland Tx. about 10:50 this morning to order food for dine in..
We ordered 4 piece chicken with fries and a Po-boy with potato salad and slaw. We went to sit down at a table. Many were open..most were open, but nothing clean.
We cleaned a table and sat down to wait..as everyone's food was coming out, we noticed no one was getting their food that they ordered..They were getting other people's orders..They were giving everyone their orders bagged up so you couldn't see what it was, so people were opening their food to find out it wasn't and giving it back to the employees after being "dug into", then the employees were giving that handled food to the people who actually ordered it..
I got up to avoid this happening, just to find out another couple had already gone through our bags and returned it to the employee who then handed it to us.. I saw this happen. It happened to others as well.
I gave it back to the employee and explained why i wanted a new order.
He took it and inside of 30 seconds brought it back out to us..he went to the back and put both white bags into a brown bag and brought back out to us..
INSIDE OF 30 SECONDS after waiting 15 mins for our food..
It was the same food the other couple touched and gave back because it wasn't theirs..
HELLO...COVID!?!
My husband and i took the bag back to the register to tell them what happened and get our money back..they had already been dishonest.
The Manager said nothing, gave me my cash and dropped my change in my hand, making me almost drop it.
Then snatched my receipt from me.
I believe the name on the receipt was James S...
We will never go back in there again.
I am so ashamed of them and unfortunately they reflect directly on Bill Miller's BBQ.
I truly hope someone with some authority in Bill Miller's gets this and does something..I would hope someone cares
