I tried the Bill Miller’s Breakfast Plate along with a biscuit and sausage gravy. Here’s the breakdown: • Hash browns were phenomenal—crispy and flavorful. • Eggs tasted like they came from a carton—definitely not fresh. • Sausage was dry and lacked flavor. • Beans were way too watery. • Biscuit was undercooked and doughy, and the gravy was bland with NO sausage in it—just kind of there. • The one bright spot was their salsa—it’s literally fire. Great flavor and a nice kick. • Customer service felt dry and unenthusiastic, though that could be because it was early morning. I spent $12.56 on the plate, biscuit and gravy, and a sweet tea. Unfortunately, I don’t think I’ll be back for breakfast. Overall rating: 4/10

Ordered some tacos for my coworkers…most of the time my experience is pretty good at Bill Millers. This certain store just was disappointing! Appearance is everything. I saw them make them pretty fast, but come on man!!! Last time I go to this location!!! Y’all can do better!!!

This is not how I feel about Bill millers overall, this is more about how one employee handled a situation. I called because I ordered a poor boy plus plus (extra lean) and that’s not what I received. It was nothing close to lean. I called just to bring it to their attention, I never go back to return my food, I just call in hopes it happens less often. I explained the situation to the person that answered and they were immediately argumentative and said, “I cut both sandwiches myself that recently came through, I remember the order”. I wasn’t ugly but I immediately explained as a business owner I know that shouldn’t have been her response, that she didn’t even ask me for my receipt number and how she was speaking was inappropriate. She changed her tone and actually gave a good response, explaining how she would and could fix it but when I asked to speak to her manager, letting her know that the food was no longer the issue she again got an attitude and put me on hold without even responding to me. I spoke to the manager and she was very professional. I’m really posting so that individual can see these pictures because she seemed very adamant that she cut it correctly. That’s the fat I pulled out from one side of the sandwich.

March 2025 Met a friend at the George road & NW Military Hwy location for breakfast at 6:30 am. While I like the layout of the 281 Hwy & Bitters location. The George road location lived up to the same good service and courteous approach to serving its customers. I had a bean & egg taco, and bacon & egg taco. Both were good and needed the Bill Miller's hot sauce for some lite spice. I hope that if you visit your experience is as good as mine. January 2025 I was heading to a gathering and needed to bring some potato salad. I like Bill Miller's BBQ potato salad and stopped by this location to pick some up. I went into the establishment via the takeout door and was greeted by a young lady named Bailey. I requested 2 quarts of potato salad and paid. She managed the order from start to finish, and I was in and out within 10 minutes. I commend her on her professional, positive customer service attitude and courteous approach. She is definitely a positive addition to the Bill Miller's BBQ team. I hope that if you visit, your experience is as good as mine. Oh, and the potato salad was a hit.

Literally the only reason I go to eat bills is to enjoy something that taste like home cooking. There's no way I get served expired food right? Well, the mold on my food explains it all. Never again from here

I am so disappointed with my service and food today...I went to drive thru around 3pm...the lady who took my order was very rude. I orders chicken strip meal with 1 extra strip and gravy....the chicken was so stale and old...the gravy, well the 1st one was fine but the 2nd one was very lumpy and hard...ive never been to this bill millers and have only had 1 problem with the restaurant in the many years ive been visiting..Just today it was all off!!

Worst pancakes in town. We have been BM customers for years but someone new to Texas said the food is trash and pancakes like these don’t help that reputation. This wasn’t the first time we got bad pancakes either.

Good BBQ at a good price. Their breakfast tacos are sooo tasty as well! I live in Colorado and wish Bill Millers was here!

Whenever I have had orders delivered, there is ALWAYS something missing or incorrect. Frustrating because I really think there food is good. Today I requested no ice in my tea, and there is ice. Requested lemon/lime and they are not included. Food was prepared correctly thankfully. Pay attention to the details.

So far have only had the breakfast tacos. Got a whole box of them and they were all delicious. Mom loved the apple pie. I can see why this is a Texas fav.

Every-time I've come to this location without fail there's always something missing from my order once I get home.

Had brisket (fatty) plate with beans, slaw and baked potato. Friendly service. Good food. What's not like

If there were 6 stars, I would leave 6. Bill miller is my favorite restaurant on the planet. I would get it every day if I could. The food is good for the price and it never fails. They service is great and THE SWEET TEA IS AMAZING! GO TO BILL MILLER!

I was invited here for breakfast. I have never been to Bill Miller's for breakfast but thought that this might be a good time to get to know what they have in the morning. It is definitely an acquired taste. I personally did not enjoy what I had for breakfast which was hot cakes, potatoes and bacon.

Went for a quick dinner and waited about 2 minutes at the front of the line before someone came to help. Once help came, I ordered and was served quickly. I ordered the 2 meat plate and asked for dark meat roasted chicken and brisket. The brisket was good, but the chicken was dry enough that every bite was crunchy, not just the skin, but the meat also. It was visibly dry enough that they shouldn't have even served it and offered another item if they didn't have any more ready. I also had to wait about 3 mins to get a refill since the drinks are behind the counter. While I was waiting the diligent bus boy was about to clear my plate even though I wasn't done yet. Luckily I was able to stop him before he did. Overall, I probably won't be going back to this restaurant anytime soon.

How can you guys serve a poor boy plus with the meat being more than half fat? I got it to go...i was hungry and no time to go back to give you an opportunity to make it better. I picked what meat I could off of the slices and ate the fries. Very disappointed.. I will not be coming back. It never should have happened in the first piece. My sandwich should not have been made with scrap fat.

Gave me old cold fries and asked for my poor boy to be thin sliced and lean and I got nothing but big chunks and hard peaces of meat never coming back to this location again

Always leaving out something. Get tacos here almost weekly and always ask for a lot of salsa. More than half the time it's not in the bag. Today was another day where, stupid me, I didn't check the bag before leaving. Get home with $30 worth of tacos for the family and not a single salsa. Really ruins the meal and gives a bad start to the day for a family breakfast.

Worst salad I've ever had from them, brown wilted lettuce and someone decided to cover all that up with extra chicken strips. I did eat the chicken strips but would of loved a crispy salad to go with them.

Best fast service BBQ brisket I have had. Worth a try. There sauce was ok, but thought the brisket was better without.

Very disappointed in the salad I got today. I ordered a salad de lite.... far from delightful, big chunks of not that part of the salad no one eats, the hard chunks of lettuce, lettuce seamed old wilted, and serving was small! Paid over $7 for this? Not worth it... tried to eat it, I couldn't nasty! Now I guess I'll just eat the 3 pks of crackers for dinner.

This Bill Millers give terrible customer service. They never give you everything you need for your meal. They give the wrong sides. And when you ask them to put some condiments or salsa or simply the butter and syrup for the pancakes they look at you and say it's in the bag. Won't even bother to bounce check, then you get home and it's not in the bag. That had happened to me multiple times with this place. The managers hire a bunch of kids who don't don't care to provide quality customer service.

I ordered a #4 and spent almost $9 just for a half serving of Mac and cheese and no gravy. (The meal includes it) this is the only location where they always seem to miss a few BIG things.

Seriously, the worst breakfast tacos ever (and not the first time). We've been to Bill Miller many, many times, but after this visit, I doubt we'll ever go again. First, we ordered A LOT of different varieties of tacos. Every taco that had bacon in it was RAW. The rest were so sloppily put together with either a big 'wad' of egg or hardly any, hard and stuffed into the middle of the taco. I don't usually complain, but this is ridiculous for a 65.00 order..

Good size portions, reasonably priced, & very delicious. My first stop for lunch right of the plane from Nashville. Where I am from there are a million ways to fry a chicken, but this place does it simple & well. Cafeteria style dining with a big sweet tea. Can't beat it!

First time being to this location; I've been to so many Bill Millers but here I just loved how clean and nice everyone was. The potion size is great even the kids menu was a good size could have order the kids plate and had a delicious brownie :) but that just me I'm a sucker for sweet. The prices are great and the food come out nice and fresh, I always have the same thing chicken tender with fries and a sweet tea always my go to. If your in the area and craving chicken tender go try it out for yourself.

Was at this location this morning 7:46am 6/24. Ordered simple tacos and they failed. Order was not correct. I feel as long as Bill Miller has been in business that by now attention to detail should be well mastered.

Salads are getting a little skimpy these days. Maybe it wouldn't be so disappointing if it weren't such a huge empty container.

It's a San Antonio staple for a reason: the service is always great, the 'cue is always fresh, and their breakfast tacos are perfection wrapped in a handmade flour tortilla. Not even kidding, their AM drive-thru line at most locations wraps around the parking lot. Favorite breakfast picks are their brisket, egg and potato, or bean and cheese tacos (in that order), while lunch for me is always either their brisket poboy (marbled please, extra pickles and onions) or one of the salads (Italian dressing only). Lots of folks favor their fried chicken, but I find the batter too thick. Props to this spot for sharing a corner lot with Laguna Madre, perfect for overflow parking in the morning (as they don't open til lunch). Bill Miller is classic Texas comfort food- now if only they'd add a hot link and some grits to the menu.

Quality and service has plundered. Tacos are barely filled, messy and mostly either undercooked or overcooked.

Stopped by for some tacos to go. Ended up chewing on a bite of my chorizo taco and pulling a long piece of hair out of my mouth from it. Disgusting.

Nom nom. Always fast service and yummy food. I love their breakfast tacos. Always have the perfect amount of cheese mixed in with everything else ordered. Obviously love their sweet tea too...their bbq is alright if you're wanting the traditional stuff and on a budget.

We live 30 mins to get bill miller's and the tacos we get are wrong, the egg is old, there's no cheese that we ordered face to face to the girl taking our order. The manager was very rude and condescending. She did not allow me to speak, she cut me off every-time I tried to speak. No professionalism. She did not offer to resolve the problem. She did not apologize for anything and she hung up on me mid sentence. We've been happy customers of bill miller's but this experience left a bad taste in our mouths and I'm sure We are not the only ones. Management should get another training in customer service.

I pay for bacon egg and cheese the most expensive taco in the ticket, and I get two flour tortilla

Overall after several visits I think this is a good Bill Miller and the staff is always friendly... This location is right next to my office so I often walk down for breakfast tacos or lunch. They always have good fresh brisket and the tacos are always great. You can count on this Bill Millers location to be consistent.

absolutely horrible service. I'd give them zero stars but it won't let me post without at least one. another failed trip through the drive through. ordered a sausage poor boy for the wife, it came as brisket. asked for sauce on the side, it was smothered all over the sandwich. this isn't rocket science and these employees bitch about being underpaid. it's pathetic! this franchise has lost my business for good since this is in a long line of completely messed up orders for which we over pay. I will do my best to ensure anyone I know stays away from ALL bill millers. truly pathetic!!

Not the greatest food. Place was clean but food kind of tasteless. I think locals must like it. We got pork bbq and beef brisket and it was so so. We were disappointed cause wanted authentic Texas meats.

This location has a lack of managerial oversight and poorly trained employees. My order was for a 15 piece family order of fried chicken "our choice" - meaning the restaurant decides what pieces to include in the order. When I received my order it consisted of 15 pieces of wings - no thighs, no legs, no breasts - and most pieces were just crust. If the only pieces available were just wings, it would have been nice to communicate as such and I would have been more than willing to wait for new pieces to be made. I have been to other locations and if the stock of chicken available is low, the drive thru employee lets me know so I can have the choice of ordering something different or wait to have fresh chicken cooked -this is standard practice at many locations. Very disappointing that management is not involved in day to day operations and fails to effectively train their employees. Evidently, the pursuit of high quality service is not a priority for management at this location.

I've ordered from this location before and never had a problem but very disappointed today. Stopped to get some pulled pork tacos only to discover they no longer served pulled pork. So I got an extra lean brisket poorboy and a sausage poorboy to split with husband. Only 2 cars in front of me and it was 3:22 so no crowd inside. 20 mins later I got my order which is an exceptional wait time for only 2 cars in front of me. No - sorry it took so long pretty much here is your food go away from girl at the window. Get home to find the brisket poorboy was nothing but fat - spit it out and gave it to the dog. So disappointed in the whole experience.

My husband and I have a deep affection for the baked potato and salad combo. Priced under $6 and super filling. Run of the mill dressings available( ranch, Italian, thousand island)& Baker has options of bacon, butter, sour cream, and cheese. Their condiment bar also has pickles, onions and bread (this might make the meal). Top it off with tea and brownies and I'll join you anytime

One thing about Bill Miller's is it's consistent. The breakfast tacos here amazing. Definitely try the ultimate it's a bacon and egg taco, add bean and cheese. When I go through the drive-through I tell them that I want lean brisket. This will help avoid them dumping the ends and into your sandwich

Bill Miller has gone downhill since the owners passed away. Greedy by raising prices and skimping out on portions. Not only did they make their containers smaller to make the portions look bigger but now they put even smaller portions in the tiny containers. Not a good value anymore

Very poor service! Purchased two briskets plates and instead of separating food correctly, they combined potato salad with the brisket and bbq sauce. This restaurant continually has such poor service and one of the many reasons I do not go to this business often. Just went there this evening, so we just got home with our food. Truly disappointed with how our food looks. I took pictures if you are interested in seeing how the presentation was when we received it. Management needs to be replaced as it is continuously at night.

Very bad customer service at this location all the other locations are good been eating bill Millers for over 15 yrs and this location is the worst one I WOULD STRONGLY SUGGEST to take a couple extra mins to drive down the street to the other location because this location is/ has been by far the worst location in San Antonio

Went through the Drive-thru @740 p.m. on Tuesday Oct. 26th and ordered the 15 piece fried chicken Family Meal along with a quart of coleslaw and a quart of mashed potatoes. Got home and there were only 10 pieces of fried chicken.. Chicken and fries were way past the shelf life. Cold, rubbery chicken and fries is what they served us. Almost $50 down the drain for shorted old chicken and fries. Kids liked the bread though.. Came to Bill Miller cause we had a little more trust then going to dirty Popeyes or KFC (which the kids would've preferred). Pretty much stole our money for food that should've already been in the trash.

TERRIBLE customer service. Check your bags. Literally look at every single item. Not their first time messing up an order and missing food. No receipt given in bag as stated at counter. Called back to have name added to an imaginary list then dismissed next time trying to recoup on their mistake. How do you consistently mess up and pass the mistake down to the customer. My mistake was trusting that they'd check my food before bagging and handing to me. Breakfast food decent and decently priced but to pay for something and not receive it then told it's on you is just unacceptable. They aren't hurting for business so losing me as a customer doesn't bother them in the least but there is plenty of competitive options out there who doesn't pass their mistakes on the customers

Bill MIller BBQ is one of my favorite things about eating in San Antonio. It's a great example of a local business done well; with over 60 locations now since it was opened by a San Antonio entrepreneur in 1950. It's still family-owned and operated too. This particular location of Bill Miller is #47. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner and have a drive-thru. This is my favorite location because I always feel like the food is fresh and the service is particularly friendly for a fast-food style establishment. My standard meal at Bill Miller is the Salad De-Lite with Chicken which costs $4.98 and easily gives me two meals. Bill MIller is also a great choice for fried chicken and they offer great family meal deals if you're feeding large groups.

Will never be visiting this Bill Millers for breakfast ever again. I order the same thing every time: two potato and egg tacos on corn tortillas with a sweet tea. Last week I went through the drive thru, got one taco on flour and one on corn. Had to go inside to fix it, defeating the purpose of the drive thru. Two days ago I went through the drive thru and got two tacos with eggs and no potatoes. Had to go inside to fix it, defeating the purpose of the drive thru. Yesterday the order was right, but they gave me a container of hot sauce ... that had no hot sauce in it. Had to go inside to fix it, defeating the purpose of the drive thru. Today I went inside to begin with, got back to my car, and one taco was on flour...AGAIN. So I walked back inside, got a new taco, went to my car and took a bite. Out the center of the taco came a 6" piece of twine. Fuck this place. You want to get paid a decent wage? Start doing the simple fucking task of CHECKING THE GOD DAMN ORDER BEFORE YOU HAND IT TO SOMEONE. Morons.

I had the chopped beef sandwhich, it was more of a sloppy joe. I couldn't taste any BBQ flavors. Grocery store buns and frozen fries. With all the options for restaurants, dont waste your time with this one.

Extremely disappointed. Ordered a number one (brisket sandwich) and it had the TINEST SLICE OF BRISKET... it was all bread!! Basically paid 8 bucks for bread with fries! Won't be going back there!

Was this a mistake! After many trips to San Antonio I finally got a chance to try this restaurant. Once is enough, the chopped beef sandwich was more like a slider, greasy and a thin layer of meat . I ordered a sausage link to try, perhaps the worst sausage I have ever tasted, greasy and horrible taste. The baked potatoes had good taste , but I think they were rationing the cheese and bacon bits. The brownies were ok , but tasted like little Debbie snacks , don't think they were homemade. Not much of a crowd for a Saturday night. If this is all San Antonio has to offer for Bbq, yikes! One and only for me . Better not ask me about this place , your ears might hurt in the end

I ordered 2 tacos and they told me to pull up to wait. Not doing that again, going to WAIT there at the window, it's been almost 30 minutes and that's insane. They need a better system.

Today they messed up three of my tacos and did not give me a fork to eat my hash browns. This place has made a habit of giving me the wrong tacos, and it makes me sad because I usually love to eat their breakfast tacos, but when they give me three of the wrong item and forget my utensils, I don't want to go back! Please step up your game, Bill Miller's!
