Billfish Bar and Restaurant

Staff was nice, food was allright. I had a hamburger with fries. Overall the place had a good vibe. Bathroom needs some soap for customers and the urinal was a bit interesting and funny. There is lot of mosquitoes so spray yourself with repellent before going. There is plenty of options for drinks so got a feeling the place might be better as a bar/club.

Went for Valentine's Day Lunch & Friday Happy Hour. What an incredible place. Food so delicious. Beers so good. Friendly staff. Didn't want to leave the place. The best meeting place in Nuku'alofa.

People obviously come here for the alcohol because the food was not good at all. 3 dishes for TOP65 (fish burger, reg burger, and chicken pasta). They were barely edible. I had ordered a chicken pasta. It was not good…..only a few bits of chicken, not much sauce and lots of pasta. Burgers were dry and too much bun…..seems like you order a ”bun burger” and not a “hamburger”. I had the same dish (chicken pasta) at Momma’s Harbor View Restaurant and it was very good-lots of chicken and plenty of sauce- at a better and more reasonably priced too(TOP 19 vs TOP25 at Billfish). Will come back to Momma’s Harbor View and will recommend friends to come to Momma’s, but will not recommend Billfish. Not ever coming back-unless the food is better! Too pricey and the food was not good.

The worst sirlion steak i have ever had from anywhere in the world ( was more like a shoulder steak) 1/2 of it was gristle and tuff all for a sum of $55 and the wifes surf and turf was the same $65 total $120 a lot for a por effert i did mention this to whe waitress but was just smiled at i did ask her to tell chef and he could come and explain to me but no action was take n hence 1 star rating would have give 0 but no option feel free to comment and disscuss with me

Sorry but Ota ika and toast don't belong together. Even if you call it garlic bread. Will try again later in the week but today wasn't the day. 1 star. This was July 2023. Update **24August 2024*** Updated review to add stars. Had the best food in a long time and service was stellar. They've updated and cleaned and seems to be under new direction. We had a bucket of our favorite local beer and enjoyed the entire experience. 4 🌟. Complete improveme. This could be five star. Will see again next time.

The spicy chicken burger was delicious and spicy - beer was cold and the glass full. Fun atmosphere and welcoming staff and locals.

Meals can take a while here, and the music can be very loud, however prices are reasonable and there are plenty of happy locals and tourists here any day of the week.
