Corner burger place with a front bar and eating area as well as a back area with seating. There is also seating outside with umbrellas. Restaurant interior appeared clean. The bartender did not greet me, nor did she acknowledge my presence when I sat down at the bar. She seemed unfriendly and unwilling to go out of the way to provide stellar customer service. She did not say anything the entire time, just nodded silently after I requested drinks, food & check. Drink was a heavy pour but still overpriced for a vodka-soda in a small bar such as this place ($11). The side salad ($5.95) was simple and tasty, boasting mixed greens, tomatoes, cukes and onions with a balsamic dressing. The burgers that were being made and served looked tasty. I don't suggest going there if you want friendly bar service or someone to talk to. I did not sit at a table, so I do not know how the service is for a sit-down customer. This place may be good for someone looking for a place to sit, eat and not be bothered. For someone who enjoys the social scene and good food for price, I was not impressed.

I had the veggie burger and sweet potato fries. Both were great! Service may have been a tad slow, but it wasn't bad.

This South of the Burger is beyond delicious. Comes with guacamole, pico del Gallo, jalapeños, pepper jack cheese, and quest sauce ( not sure what that is ). Left me satisfied.

Ordered a medium burger and it took quite some time to arrive. I got it over cooked. Service was below average, it took a while to get served and he never came back to ask how our food was or to refill my drink. Sweet potatoes fries were soggy and undercooked, clear indication that they went from the freezer straight to the fryer. I would not recommend this place for burgers. For the price, you could find a better option in this neighborhood. There were literally 3 tables on the back so there was no way they were so busy.

I came here on a Sunday evening. The place wasn't too crowded. I ordered the bacon and cheddar burger with cheese fries. I also tasted some of the disco fries and vanilla shake. I would recommend the disco fries over the cheese ones since they are just a little more expensive. The cheese was pretty good- it's the creamy type. The burger was just okay. I was expecting something spectacular but was very underwhelmed. I thought the burger could be bigger. The shake was pretty good. The waitress didn't ask how I wanted the burger, so be sure to ask if you want it something other than well done. The service was nothing special, pretty much just polite and not that attentive. I'd say everything was a bit overpriced for the quality, but it's New York so it is what it is. The atmosphere of the actual place was pretty bar/pub like. They had a March Madness game on and the current standings of the brackets on a wall or two. Overall, I'd say it was just okay. I might go back to try a medium rare burger and disco fries. And maybe a shake.

This place is great, not fussy, the food is elevated bar food and the shakes! mmhm the shakes! The service was exceptional. We were in there from around 5:45-8pm, long time I know, (was meeting with a friend whom I hadn't seen for over a year) and we were not made to feel hurried or rushed out of there which was appreciated. It was chill relaxed vibes at first, I did sense a change in atmosphere later on in the stay, a bit more after work drinks bar feel. Had a great time, I will be back for sure!

Bill's Bar has found the perfect intersection of neighborhood pub feel combined with gastropub quality food. The much-lauded burgers are creative and tasty and the interior is comfortable and welcoming. This is the kind of place I wish I had down the street from me to grab comfort food on a cold night or pints while watching a football game. The crowd was upbeat without being overly-boisterous and the staff were friendly, though service was pretty poor. The food came out fast but I had to chase someone down to get the bill and order. My one issue here was the price. Ten dollars for the burger - without even including fries - was overpriced. And it needed the fries. Its a shame as I wouldn't mind working my way through the menu here.

I've been to Bill's twice, once to have a jalapeno burger (it was delicious, though a bit greasy) and once when I had the bacon burger, which was SO much more than a bacon burger. Served on a little bun (compared to other burger spots) with caramelized onions, bacon bits, white cheddar and a HEAVENLY bacon mayo, it was the perfect ending to my evening. The fries and onion rings are also solid, but as others have noted, you have to order these separately, which definitely hikes up your meal price. As for beverages, decent beer selection and the shakes are also pretty amazing. I recommend the Oreo, for sure.
