Bill's Long Pond Diner

Been going here with my buddies for about a year now for monthly breakfasts. Food, staff and prices have always been spot on. Keep up the great work!

First time patrons. Had decent expectations but probably shouldn't have with other restaurants in the vicinity. Yet another below average diner. Service was good, food wasn't. Had the Belt Buster Omlette for $14.20 and the Eggs Benedict that came with no sides for $11, so we ordered hash browns, that were out of a box, for $4. Probably one of the lowest quality omlettes I've ever had. Thin, the bacon was bacon crumbles that were like pellets, the sausage was sausage links cut up. The whole thing kept falling apart. The hollandaise for the Eggs Benedict had no flavor. Add in 2 coffees and an OJ - $51 incl. 20% tip. Yes, seriously. Just very disappointing all the way around. I really think these places cater to clientele that are totally fine with low quality food and 1970's decor because they don't know any better. Recommendation? Make the drive to Blue Ridge Grill instead.

We met up with some friends for brunch and had a great time! The food was lovely and the service was quick. We snuck in between the breakfast and lunch crowd at about 10:15 and there was no wait.

The waitresses are amazing! The food was better when this place was Long Pond Diner, before the new owners. The “updated” hash browns make me sad, they are the frozen oval ones you can get at McDonalds instead of made in-house like they used to be. That, paired with the owners bad attitude, moves this once excellent little diner onto my “do not return” list. Sad to see!

I ordered a Captains Platter online for pickup. The ordering process was flawless, but the food was not. Everything was overcooked and dried out. I do not think the fish was really haddock. I would never order again from Bill's Long Pond Diner.

Cute little diner with a lot of potential! The kids' meal was fantastic, and the prices seemed really reasonable. However, my first experience dining here left much to be desired. When the waitress noticed that I had left a huge portion of my meal untouched, I asked her why they used Italian sausage instead of breakfast sausage. Her response? It wouldn’t be sausage gravy then! I had to enlighten her about what breakfast sausage actually is. 😂 To make matters worse, I wasn’t offered any compensation for my disappointing meal, and it seems I’m not alone in my frustration about the sausage gravy. Management really needs to take these complaints seriously instead of getting defensive. They should focus on fixing the issues customers are pointing out!

I went on a Sunday after church got there a little before 1pm. There were a bunch of empty table and they couldn't figure out where to seat us. When we were seated the people next to us commented on how they had been sitting there a really long time and their order has not been taken yet. When they came to take my order I asked about a pancake combo with meat and eggs. The waitress said we stop serving that at 1 (they close at 2) you have to get them seperate. Then I asked about blueberry pancakes and she said we can't do that either it is taken out of the computer at 1, but we can put them on top. What ever happened to made to order? Buying everything seperate cost an arm and a leg. It was 1:03 you can't make a customer happy? I call it price gouging. I will not be going back.

We have been going to this hidden gem for many years. The restaurant changed it's name about a year ago and is now is called Bill's Long Pond Diner. Pleasant decor, excellent service, reasonable prices and the food is fantastic! Highly recommended.

This food is so disgusting I got the grilled cheese and It had lettuce In it and my mom got French toast and it had cheese on it

It was basic food with poor quality. I was looking for classic breakfast diner food. I think they are meant for people of a more older crowd

The clientele is usually of the elderly persuasion, which compliments the blandness of the food. The thing I enjoyed the most about the place was the 2 Greek owners screaming at each other in some kind of Muslim talk.

I'd say this is more of a 3.5 - wasn't mediocre enough for a 3, and not good enough for a 4. The person who took the phone order and cashed me out was super pleasant. The order was super quick - ready within 10 minutes! The food...meh. I had a hot turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes. Both were absolutely drowned with gravy, which was great, except both the sandwich and mashed tates were extremely bland. The turkey was very dry, and the pieces were cut larger than most other places. The gravy itself was interesting and had a different flavor than gravy I've had at other diners. My father had a chicken salad club and seemed satisfied. I will say that the prices were excellent! I've heard great things about the breakfasts here, and will be back sometime when life is back to normal and I can sit down inside. As a bonus, they left cookies in the takeout bag, which was unexpected and nice.

We've been eating here since the kids were babies. The wait staff that we had originally knew exactly what we all would order as well as the drinks. Great breakfast lunch and dinners. My all time favorite is the Tegus Special which is 2eggs, home fries, toast, meat hot sauce and even coffee included. Wish I had a picture but unfortunately I don't. Lunch I have three favorites Rubens with corn beef or Turkey and a grilled chicken with bacon and bbq sauce. Dinners definitely the Friday fish fry is great and it includes a cup of soup if you eat there. All around a great place!!

We've been there a few times. Great family diner. The sausage gravy is top notch! Service is always good and people are friendly. There are some regulars who know that staff by name. We'll definitely be going back again

New name, same great food and service! The owner is very personable and really takes interest in his customers. Nice family restaurant!

It's the price that lures me to this joint. The early bird specials that goes on for a long time, even on weekends are the attention getter. I can't pass $5 special that comes with eggs, meat, potatoes, toast and coffee. It's hard to mess up such simple meal. There are the good waitress amd not so good. If you end up with latter, good luck getting your coffee filled up. I do see two young bussers working very hard. On Saturdays, I see a male host with piercing who definitely needs attitude adjustment. Price is good, breakfast is ok, some other meals I have tried is under par but appears to be a favorite hang outs to locals.

First time visit today. Highly recommend the fish fry and the chicken salad club. Tastes even better when some pays for it because they lost a best

Not good. I purchased a gift certificate for a Christmas gift (I paid with cash) and then they close after Christmas and dint open the doors again. Website states temporarily closed. No info when they might open back up and phone number has been disconnected. Terrible that a family owned business would do that to customers.

For the price and portions it's a must go! Had and long pond omelette , and my friend had the fish. Their Coleslaw wasn't the best, but everything else was great. Make sure you tip!

My wife and I went there for lunch. I told the waitress the ketchup bottle was empty and she got another full bottle from the table next to us and put the empty bottle on that table. She seemed irritated at my request. I had two hot dogs and french fries. The french fries didn't taste good but I ate them anyway. Big mistake. About 4 hours later I had food poisoning. I'll never will go back there.

Absolutely delicious! Their food is wonderful, their service is also great! I only gave 4 stars because they've adjusted their hours and didn't make it well known so we've gone with high hopes only for them to close at 2. Otherwise this place is amazing and I totally recommend it! It's a quaint little place that has a great atmosphere, a family atmosphere!

This place is great. Awesome breakfast. I tend to get breakfast no matter what time I go here. Normally food comes out quick and hot. Which is great. For some reason every time I come here I get this one waitress who doesnt smile, takes forever to fill drinks, and just has no customer service skills at all. I wish I knew her name to ask to not be seated in her section, but I don't. Other than that, I come here often and really enjoy the food.

Came here on a Sunday with my husband and his family and the breakfast specials are great. Had the Tegas early breakfast special and others in my group had the corn hash and poached eggs, bacon cheesy fries and gyros omelette. All were good, huge portions, quick service and wide selection of breakfast items! Great place for brunch with the family and really good value!

Staff is excellent and attentive If you are traveling with an elderly friend? Parking lot not cleared and difficult to enter. Acoustics and high tin ceiling, allows sounds to travel. Difficult to hear others speak at your table. Food was bland and flavorless on several occasions. They try but miss the mark.

We are regulars and of course the food was amazing but their cleanup procedure in these COVID times was unacceptable. The "busgirl" had a bucket of water (or maybe it was a cleaning solution) and was using a rag to wipe off EVERYTHING from salt and pepper shakers to the table to the seats. Then the washcloth went BACK INTO the bucket for the next table. Crazy!

We came here to use the ATM and decided to have a quick breakfast. My wife and I are both vegan, so diner places like this can be challenging to order from. The waitress was very kind and friendly taking our order (garden omelette with potatoes instead of eggs). The food was actually really good! The potatoes and veggies were seasoned nicely, and it came out pretty quick too. Good stuff. The only fault I can think of is that they didn't discount our no eggs omelette request. Not a huge deal, and most places don't anyway.. but it would be nice. Oh well. Oh yeah, it was a little busy and loud when we were here, but that's par for course with diners.

Love this place for breakfast the most out of all the options in Greece for price. Only issue I have is that the last 4 times I've tried to stop here for breakfast it was closed. Sign on the door said closed for family vacation. Summer and winter. It was disappointing. It's too bad they can't find a way to keep the place open when they are away. There are other options around but I really love their specials and they offer great coffee options. I love that they have flavored creamers on the table. The food is amazing. I enjoy their Friday night fish fry. Come early because everyone else loves it too!!!

Stopped in for breakfast between soccer games at the nearby Grace and Truth Soccer complex. Clean, quick, tasty breakfast. Locally popular as evident by the constant turnover of tables. Crispy bacon with 2 eggs and toast for under $6. Lots of pancake choices and even more omelette choices.

When going out to enjoy a pleasant meal, I don't expect to hear an owner disrespecting a customer in a loud and aggressive manner. The atmosphere was tense and the food not at all enjoyable.

Being a long time regular patron of this restaurant, I have found there are things you do order here and things you don't. Don't order anything that can be overcooked. Prime rib ordered both medium-rare and then rare are solidly well. Don't bother with the baked haddock, it is so overcooked and dried out you could use it as a weapon. The poached salmon is "all cooked for the same amount of time" irregardless of the thickness of the piece, so either it's great or rock hard. Finally, don't bother reporting any issues to the cook. I was given the option of having the meal removed from my bill, or having the overcooked salmon that they took away from the table brought back to me. As I did not see it worth paying for dog food, I told them to take it off my bill. The bill comes and they charge me 75% of the original cost for the sides. We check out, and I feel something needs to be said. The cook/owner comes out immediately, raises his voice yells about how he cooks all the pieces all the same amount of time. Like that makes sense--every piece of fish you will ever see directions to cook, base cook time on thickness of the piece. Then, I tried to say a word or two and he tells me I'm yelling. I was not yelling. For the record you have lost good consistent customers. Maybe if someone used some brains instead of timers the food would be better. If ordering here, stick to the fried foods and clam chowder.

We have only had breakfast here a few times, large menu with tons of variety! Great breakfast options, the hash was delicious! We don't go out for breakfast often but this place is always on our list of yummy options!

3.5. Solid small town diner. Good prices. Decent traditional American fare. Good service. Nothing awe-inspiring but we will return when we want something quick and easy, for shizzle.

This restaurant is over in the northwestern part of Greece on Long Pond Road, close to Janes Road and about three minutes from the Hamlin Beach State Parkway. I have eaten here on several occasions and it has always been very good. They pay very close attention to using fresh ingredients in all of their dishes and that in itself always makes for a good experience at this restaurant. They cook everything properly here and that is important to me especially when it comes to eggs or having a good omelet. These guys get it right the first time, every time. The service is always friendly and quick. It is also a very clean environment from the front door to the back kitchen door. I would know this because I delivered bread to them for a few years and was always impressed by the cleanliness in this restaurant. I would highly recommend the Long Pond Family Restaurant anytime you are in the area.

Not my favorite breakfast place, but it will do. The ambience needs updating. The food average. Price is good.

My wife and I had breakfast here last week and were extremely impressed. I had the 2x2x2 menu item and found it delicious. 2 large pancakes, 2 over easy eggs, and 2 slices of bacon. All were done perfect. My wife had the special that came with 2 eggs, bacon, home fries, toast, and coffee. It didn't take long for our breakfasts to arrive. Hot and delicious. Our waitress, Nicki, was very friendly and kept our coffee filled. Great place to eat and reasonable prices too! Highly recommended!

We went for breakfast with kids and grandkids. They were busy but we didn't have a long wait. Waitress was prompt and friendly. That always starts the meal off well. The coffee was hot and delicious. I had biscuits and gravy and home fries. There was plenty, and very tasty. The rest of the family had various other items including pancakes, eggs, and an assortment of meats. Everyone was full and satisfied. Will definitely return.

This was my grandmother's favorite restaurant, and for that, it has a special place in my heart. They were always so sweet to her, remembering her favorite table and dinner (based on the day of the week). As for the food, it's okay. It's fairly uninspired and usually bland, but they give you a ton of it at a very reasonable price! I have always thought their desserts were pretty good, so I had a habit of ordering a small entree and spending my calories on the sweet.

Comfortable atmosphere. Even when crowded for Sunday brunch, we were seated (3) within 10 minutes. Waitstaff is professional and efficient. Kept my coffee mug filled. The beef hash and cheddar omelette is very tasty and filling.

I used to order the same thing all the time but this one time there was something different so we asked the waitress. She asked the cook and then one of the owners if they changed the turkey on the turkey Rueben ...I wasn't asking for a free meal just a simple question. Owner was rude and nasty and wouldn't let us speak. Come to find out he said we come in all the time and remembered us. He was mad that I asked him for an aspirin bcs my gramma had chest pains and when we called 911 they said get her an aspirin . I understand NOW the owner couldn't dispense that to us BUT 5 years later when I ask about a freakin piece of turkey you go off like a Crazy person ????? We were worried at the time we thought my gramma was having a heart attack and he held on to this for so long. Funny he never mentioned it all the other times we were there. Owner is obnoxious and treats his staff customers disrespectfully. I'm not sure why his staff hangs around because I have heard him yell at them too. I will gladly spend my money elsewhere. Also it was dead on lunch hour out last visit there THAT speaks volumes!!!!!!

Breakfast served all day if you want it and my husband's favorite place for the early morning breakfast specials. I'm not a morning person so I prefer the lunch and dinner specials. Bill Tegas (one of the owners) went to the CIA and his soups and specials are unusual for a family diner and worth the trip. Love their turkey club salad (like a turkey club in a bowl of romaine lettuce instead of bread). Their seafood Fra Diablo on Fridays is a treat and their Shrimp scampi is great. Try the custard pie; the crust is never soggy and it's topped with lots of nutmeg. A favorite of mine when there is no pecan pie. I admit they make a better pecan pie than I do and I think I make a pretty good pecan pie. Some of the desserts are from bakeries, but those two pies are Bill's own. The rest of their menu is extensive and good, but I love their specials.

We come here often and the food is so good! The wait staff is wonderful and knows us by name, they make is a point to talk and ask how our day was. The breakfast specials are AMAZING! I have gone to a few restaurants and no other breakfast specials can compare. No matter how long the wait, everything is prompt and the wait honestly doesn't take long. The fish fry is the best on Fridays!! But i'd also recommend the Reuben sandwich which is so mouth watering good!! They constantly have new items and its easy to find out what they are without having to ask.

The servers are great. The fries are delicious, always hot, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. The club sandwiches are also yummy. Their Friday fish fry is always fresh, you may wait but the clam chowder is worth it for a great deal! If they have the cannoli cake, get it, the fresh whipped cream frosting and cannoli filling is the perfect end to a meal.

Went here for a late breakfast on a Tuesday. Server was not attentive or pleasant. Ordered steak and eggs and the steak was cooked well done when it was ordered medium rare. Regrettably made a post on facebook detailing our disappointment with the restaurant and one of the cooks responded via the restaurant facebook page and tried to claim that we were not receptive to their "excellent" service and also falsely stated that we received 3 beverage refills total when, in fact, we did not receive any. I've seen a handful of reviews of this restaurant describing the owner as rude, aggressive, and hostile towards customers and I vehemently agree. Rather than comment on the post asking what was wrong with the service/food or try to compensate for the poor experience, we were slandered via facebook, which further exemplifies the lack of professionalism and positive regard towards customers. Will not be returning. Ever.

Fast service, delicious food, best breakfast in Greece and low cost.

At LPFR, Breakfast is pretty good, good specials. Lunches/dinners are average. North Greece location is convenient. However, sit NOWHERE near the servers stand....in the large dining area, there's no escaping the deafening crashes from bussed tables, especially when the kitchen staff comes to bring the bins in on the cart. Of the MANY times been here, that ridiculous noise is consistent.

Comfortable, good food, great prices, and fast friendly service. An overall optimal diner experience. Can't wait to go back!

Mine and my family's favorite restaurant to go to in Rochester. Been going here for years and have had no problems! The waitresses are friendly, the service is quick, and the food is delicious!

Best restaurant in Greece. Fast service. Amazing staff. Fish frys are huge. Breakfast is awesome. Jonboy pancakes are one of a kind. Servers are extremely friendly and quick. The owners are always there and working hard. You know it's a good place when the same staff has been there forever. Never had a bad meal here.

Good food, even better price. I've been here twice now, for lunch and dinner, and have been impressed each time. They have a good special for lunch, a BBQ burger and fries. The burger was good, tender, and very real. You may think, 'oh, it's just a burger' but it really was great. I was also impressed when I came for dinner. In addition, I've heard that they make a great breakfast.

This is my favorite place to have breakfast. The food is exceptional, but the prices are even better. I enjoy the friendly family environment and would recommend this restaurant to friends and family.

Great restaurant. Love the food and selection. This is a family favorite for us between the selection, quality, portions and the staff. Many of the waitresses see the kids and take care of them with knowing to bring extra napkins and little things like that to make the experience easy for us. They remember us as they do a lot of the patrons. Things like that is why everyone keeps come back. Favorites include the taco salad, fish fry and omelets. Kids live the pasta, pancakes and French toast. We can eat for about $50 for a family of 6 with two of the kids ordering adult meals instead of kids. We always end up with left overs for the next day.

Great place to eat! Quiet, relaxed atmosphere. Fast service; abundant and delicious food for a good price!
