My friend took me here because she loves the pancakes, she said she first tried them in Japan and loved them, so when she found out there was a branch in Sydney, she had to come again. I didn’t know much about the place, but after trying it, I’d say it’s really good — 9/10. I especially loved the butter on the plate. Minus 1 point, the pancake batter had a bit of a smell I didn’t quite like. It still tasted good, but I think if I had to eat it all by myself, it might be a bit too rich.
The atmosphere of the café was nice. I went on a Tuesday at 10 a.m., and it was already pretty crowded (I don’t even want to imagine what it’s like on weekends).
As for the service, I saw about three servers — two women and one man. The female staff were very cheerful and kept smiling, even when customers made tricky requests (I get it, I work in customer service too). They handled everything quickly and professionally. The male staff member didn’t really smile much. I understand that might just be his personality, but in a service role, that can make customers feel a bit uncomfortable.
I didn’t try any other food or drinks, but I’d love to come back and try more when I get the chance 😊
