"If you are looking to drink impeccable coffee while enjoying some people-watching, Bills is the ultimate Sydney pit stop. A small empire spanning three Sydney neighborhoods and a growing clutch of international locations, it's the place to head to for a leisurely late breakfast or brunch. Be sure to order the famous ricotta hotcakes served with banana and honeycomb butter—or if you're feeling savory, the sweet-corn fritters with avocado and roasted tomato are hard to beat."

The restaurant is beautiful but was underwhelmed by the service and the food. Ordered their famous pancakes with a side of bacon. The pancake is ok but I was expecting much fluffier texture. The honeycomb butter is good but the bacon was very average similar to ones you get at a cheaper cafe. The coffee was nice and smooth. They are extremely busy especially during brunch and lunch time, so prepare to wait in line.

My friend took me here because she loves the pancakes, she said she first tried them in Japan and loved them, so when she found out there was a branch in Sydney, she had to come again. I didn’t know much about the place, but after trying it, I’d say it’s really good — 9/10. I especially loved the butter on the plate. Minus 1 point, the pancake batter had a bit of a smell I didn’t quite like. It still tasted good, but I think if I had to eat it all by myself, it might be a bit too rich. The atmosphere of the café was nice. I went on a Tuesday at 10 a.m., and it was already pretty crowded (I don’t even want to imagine what it’s like on weekends). As for the service, I saw about three servers — two women and one man. The female staff were very cheerful and kept smiling, even when customers made tricky requests (I get it, I work in customer service too). They handled everything quickly and professionally. The male staff member didn’t really smile much. I understand that might just be his personality, but in a service role, that can make customers feel a bit uncomfortable. I didn’t try any other food or drinks, but I’d love to come back and try more when I get the chance 😊

Had a great brekkie at Bills Surry Hills. I got the ricotta pancakes with a side of bacon—so good! The pancakes were super fluffy (as we all know) and the bacon was crispy, just how I like it. Coffee was great too. My friend got the corn fritters which was so good as well! There was a bit of a queue when I got there, but it moved quickly (rare occasion on Saturday morning) and the staff were really friendly and on top of things. Definitely a spot I’d go back to.

Their famous hot cakes are certainly worth the trek! They were 🙌 the avo toast was also great, not as impressive but certainly up there. Everyone in the staff were super friendly, the venue is really nice - however I think the outdoor can use a little bit more attention to details.

Yeah it’s alright. Really nice food and a great spot for brunch if you can get a seat, but not sure if it’s worth the price. Didn’t expect it to have a slight Asian-fusion vibe (kimchi cheese sandwich, Korean fried chicken, etc). Ricotta pancakes are nice, $33 is steep though. A lot of cocktail options as well.

Wow. What an experience—if you can call it that. First time visiting, and I already know I won’t be back. Let’s start with the service. The tall, skinny girl who served us looked like she’d rather be anywhere else. No smile, no energy, no basic customer service. I work in the industry myself, and let me tell you—that was not it. Her face had the expression of someone forced to work a double shift with no coffee or will to live. Not a great welcome. Now onto the food. I paid over 20 bucks for a piece of burnt toast. I could literally smell the burnt before I even tasted it—which, by the way, was just as unpleasant. The presentation? Let’s just say slapping sliced avocado on a blackened toast and tossing a full bush of coriander on top doesn’t make it “plated.” And that poached egg sitting awkwardly on the side? Sure. Why not. Because nothing says effort like a sad egg just hanging out alone on the edge of the plate. The only positive? It was warm inside. That’s it. Not cozy. Not charming. Just… warm. Safe to say: one visit was more than enough.

Delish food, cozy atmosphere, lovely staff. If you are looking for a nice breakfast or brunch restaurant, I would highly recommend Bills 💙💙💙 We ordered hotcakes, full aussie, mocha, matcha latte, long black and flat white. It costed total 94.50 dallors. I think sending this much on breakfast is too much, but we really enjoyed anyway 🤣🤣 Coffee here is too good that we had to have the second coffee. The mocha was special. Cuz wherever I have mocha coffee, it comes out with sweet chocolate syrup. But here I think they put really nice chopped dark chocolate. I really loved the scrambled eggs, it is probably the best scrambled eggs that I've ever had in my life. And the pork sausage was very very nice. I would definitely come back here soon 💙

We weren’t wait too long in the queue, but still took some time to get meals. Food is quite average, not equal as the prices. The girl Staff is quite friendly and kept checking us, which is sweet.
