Famous "cheezborger" hub with award-winning burgers & fast food

"Billy Goat Tavern is one of those classic spots that you know about even if you’ve never actually been. So, if it’s been on your “meaning to check out” list, now seems like a pretty good time to do it. Available for takeout and delivery." - adrian kane
"The sworn enemy of GPS and cell service, Lower Wacker has given us the cool chase scene from The Dark Knight and, more importantly, the original Billy Goat Tavern. This subterranean spot is their oldest location, serving cheap beer and “cheezborgers” since 1964. And eating here still feels like 1964, with old-school bar stools and tables, wood paneling, and vintage photos. The unique burgers are served on a thick Kaiser roll with super thin patties, so get a double or a triple." - john ringor
"Billy Goat Tavern is one of those classic spots that you know about even if you’ve never actually been. Maybe because of Saturday Night Live, or because it’s been open since 1934. So, if it’s been on your “meaning to check out” list, now seems like a pretty good time to do it. Available for takeout and delivery." - adrian kane
"Billy Goat might not truly be in Streeterville, but it’s in no man’s land on Lower Wacker, so we might as well include it here. Always get a double cheezeborger, and, if you can swing it, a light or dark Billy Goat beer. If beer isn’t in the cards, then no Pepsi. Coke." - sam faye, adrian kane
"The Michigan Ave location of Billy Goat Tavern is a Chicago institution, and within walking distance of the Pier. But in case you’re here with a New Yorker who’s only accustomed to walking tiny city blocks, the Navy Pier outpost is an acceptable alternative. Whichever location you pick, make sure to order the double or the triple burger—the bun’s too thick for a single patty. Eat something iconic here and then do a lot of Chicago-y things, like riding the Ferris wheel and trying to avoid being pick-pocketed." - adrian kane
