"Sure, Billy Reid is quickly carpeting the country with really, really well-done boutiques, but Reid is actually a Louisiana boy. He grew up in the tiny town of Amite, where is mother operated a women's clothing boutique. While Billy Reid got its start as a menswear brand, they're now doing women's as well, which has the same American sportswear sensibility. Tasseled loafers, patterned shorts, and leather dresses round out the mix. "

No visit to New Orleans is complete without a stop in the Billy Reid shop on Magazine St. The staff exemplifies Southern hospitality, being incredibly gracious to throw my husband and I a wedding suit fitting party during our bachelors party. Mila and the entire team made our experience not only memorable, it was legendary. Thank you to the Billy Reid family for making us feel welcome, and at home, in New Orleans.

Such a gem! A couple of my favorite pieces are Billy Reid so we stumbled in and had a fantastic experience. The staff is wonderfully helpful and personable. Like a previous reviewer said the epitome of southern hospitality. Quality garments, beautiful designs, knowledgeable staff.

We just left the store in New Orleans and were treated so excellently. I’ve had so few experiences where workers go out of their way to make sure your experience is the best it can be. They worked with us to find the perfect fits and handled several returns, all while we were drinking their provided whiskey. Taja Mitchem and Garland Patterson are stellar employees!

A very cool boutique with some fantastic looking fashion and setting, that being in a refurbished old New Orleans home on Magazine. It feels very cozy like a house with lots of nice clothes everywhere.

Our favorite boutique in New Orleans. Elegant cuts, rare prints and patterns. Classy shoes with imagination. And the staff isn't overbearing... which is good.

This is how shopping should be done. Eric proved to be knowledgeable about New Orleans, geographically, socially, and economically. Oh, and I bought some clothes.

Great store with free whiskey. Men's shirts are about $200 full price, $90+ on sale.

Great sale after Christmas, but shopped ahead for the sizes I needed to gift....

Yelp
As a bonified fashionista, let me tell you that men of style have at least one place to shop in this fashion wasteland we call New Orleans... and that place is Billy Reid. I'm frankly surprised he can stay open in this town... his cloths don't have any fleur-de-lis... there are no "craw daddies"... the inseams are longer than the waistbands... how do they find customers here? I'm spending the summer house sitting, and frankly I find the level of style in New Orleans appalling. I'm what they call a Cali-Yorker, and I'm used to a much higher level of sophistication. Having said that, I haven't actually bought anything at Billy Reid. Primarily because I'm a bit cash poor right now and I'm relegated to window shopping for the moment... but also because I am working a signature lewk these days that doesn't totally line up with the Billy Reid aesthetic. My lewks tend to come and go with the seasons... for fall it was all zip-up onesies in bold colors with a contrasting neckerchief. The summer has me mostly wearing short sleeve v-neck djellabas and nothing else. I need that breeze blowing! Anyway. YES TO BILLY REID!

Yelp
WOW! Full Discloser: I have a closet full of Billy Reid Clothing. I spent $600 on a pair of loafers in August. They sat on my self until recently. I started to wear them and after about four times, they came apart. It was clear that during the manufacturing process they didn't use enough glue. I wasn't as disappointed in learning about how poorly manufactured their products have become to learn that they would replace them. Hey Billy, stand behind your products or become just another dead brand. Clearly I will no long be shopping here.

Yelp
My favorite clothing store and designer for the past 6 years. You can go online to view the clothes so this review is specifically for the store and team in NOLA. I've enjoyed going to this store since its opening. I'm always greeted with a welcome as soon as I walk in the door, along with some wonderful tunes playing in the background. The front of the store is laid out to allow you to view clothes under the natural light from the windows. I appreciate this detail because colors can look COMPLETELY different outside than indoors. Take a few steps up and you'll see an elongated wooden table with complimented benches to display all their seasonal goodies (shirts, jeans, shoes, bow ties, etc). The back of the store houses a BEAUTIFUL bar/register (marble counter?) and a big ol' mirror that worth taking a minutes to observe. The entire store is covered in unique paintings and portraits as well as fresh floral arrangements . Take a look up while you're shopping to enjoy them. Side note....ask to check out the kitchen. Y'all have to love the butcher block and oven range! Amazing store and team! See y'all soon!

Yelp
Beautiful and well curated store with very stylish clothing. The fabrics textures and designs are all different, but complement well. Staff is very friendly and attentive.

Yelp
Great experience, all three employees talked with me and were super helpful. The store is super clean and laid out nicely. I was impressed, they had my size in everything I wanted, even the sale stuff. And of course, Billy Reid clothes are always amazing.

Yelp
This classy boutique is one of my husband's favorite clothing stores. Our first time in was at the Charleston location. Recently, we had a fantastic experience during our vacation in New Orleans with service from Mila. Mila was such a delight, very personable and even offered us a libation. We left with a great find and will be back to visit the new Billy Reid location in Chicago!
