I reviewed the Scott, LA, location previously, but wanted to drop separate reviews for the Opelousas and Krotz Spring locations. This one is for Opelousas since Krotz Springs is moving/moved into new digs and I want to wait until I've eaten there a couple times before committing comments to the digital domain.
Opelousas generally makes their boudin balls just a little bigger than the Scott location, but the roll ups have a little less stuffing, so I skip those at Opelousas and double down on boudin balls.
Since writing my review of the Scott location, I've tried the fried corn two more times, and I'm definitely skipping it in the future. Frying it probably quadruples the calories, definitely triples the price (vs. just buying some corn and throwing it on the grill or in the oven), and doesn't improve the flavor or texture of the corn (I really like corn on the cob), so passing on the roll ups and fried corn leaves me the calories to double down on the boudin balls.
The crawfish pies and crawfish balls/pistolettes were better at the Krotz Springs location (based on a single sample at each location), but that's pre-construction at Krotz Springs. Regardless, I like the Boudin so much more than the crawfish that I won't be re-trying the crawfish items, making this my one and only review of those items: there are MUCH better crawfish pies to be had in New Orleans/Metairie/Kenner.
