"In a main dining room and 32 private rooms, all exuding understated glamour, this place champions innovative and refined Cantonese fare. It serves hand-crafted dim sum, a rare thing these days. The menu has an array of double-boiled tonics, such as fish maw and ginseng soup. Pre-order to avoid disappointment. Round off the meal with black sesame sweet soup over milk custard for double indulgence. Other signatures include stir-fried flat rice noodles with beef, and juicy roasted goose." - Michelin Inspector

"The group first made its name with sashimi and, at this branch, diners may choose from sea perch, grass carp, amberjack and a myriad of live prawns. It also prides itself highly on the unmissable 'four beauties' – crispy char siu (pork belly crusted with breadcrumbs and sugar), soy-marinated pork trotters, pork tripe and goose intestines. Large parties may also try their jumbo-sized pineapple buns, to be ordered by the half dozen." - Michelin Inspector

Had the best roasted goose and pork in Guangzhou, almost every dishes spot-on the Chinese umami “wok hei”. Roasted pigeon is juicy on the inside with crispy skin, pear soup is thick and full of flavour, fried fish is seasoned with pepper and chillies kick, egg tart is so good with crispy pastry layers and soft silky egg custard inside. Fried radish, red bean and ginger cake is good (start with radish flavour than red bean end with the strongest flavour, ginger cake). However, the buffalo’s milk with black sesame is overly sweet and pumpkin with peach gum is kind of tasteless like not much of pumpkin puree. This place is worth a try, I will definitely come back next time to try their other dishes.

The hours here are incorrect. They close at 15:00 and reopen at 17:00. Food: - sea cucumber. Meh, nothing special. Same thing as you'd get in any corner restaurant - the signature crispy duck. Quite tasty and juicy. Would be amazing if they didn't chop it bones in, this means with every single bite, you get a mouth full of bones. It really ruines the experience. You can see in the picture the pile of bones. - the pineapple buns. First, I don't know why there is a minimum order of 3, no matter how many people there are at the table. The buns are huge, I would say one is enough for 2 people. They taste good, but honestly it's pretty much bread with pineapple jam. Nothing more, nothing else. Service: We'll leave aside that the staff doesn't speak ANY English, which is not unusual in China, but it is in a Michelin restaurant. They're overall nice and fast. One thing that stood out was that they charge you for napkins :))) Seriously! It's a low amount, but it's more about the principle. Not even at McDonald's do they charge for napkins so you'd expect that a restaurant that strives to be fine dining can provide napkins :)) Overall, it's not an awful meal or experience. But definitely not worth the hype.

Excellent Cantonese cuisine superbly curated by the chef. Service was also very good. The atmosphere was typical crowded Chinese restaurant which was noisy and boisterous. The roast goose was the best dish.

This seems to the the main branch. You have to book in advance especially on a weekend because this place is packed. We booked a private room 1 week in advance so it was OK. Food was not cheap and they have all the expensive stuff. in fact it was the most expensive meal we had on our trip in GZ. We ordered the famous raw fish salad and the roast pork. The chrysanthemum pork soup is nice.

The egg floss claypot rice was really good and will definitely come back to have this again if I’m around Guangzhou. The restaurant is a huge building and basically it can be full during peak hours so you might want to avoid coming during peak hours. The crispy skin pork fats is really sweet and it can gets really difficult to finish if you dislike pork fats greasy flavor. The charsiew was alright. But the cheongfun and polo bun was quite a huge let down, will definitely not recommend you to order.

Actually it is not a seafood restaurant, it is a modern Cantonese restaurant although they serve some seafood menu. They do deserve for its simultaneously Michelin Award for many years. All of their dishes are really well prepared and delicious. Service is great and the price is reasonable. They don't take reservation, so you have to come directly and queue for the table. Avoid lunch and dinner time, come earlier or later after the peak hours to avoid the queue. I highly recommend this restaurant when you are visiting Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, China.

Holds ⭐️ on Michelin Guide 2023 Food was exquisitely prepared like home cooked. Service was prompt and friendly. Good ambiance in dining areas. Roasted Pigeon is the highly recommended. Nice and crispy on the outside but super juicy on the inside.
