The hours here are incorrect. They close at 15:00 and reopen at 17:00.
Food:
- sea cucumber. Meh, nothing special. Same thing as you'd get in any corner restaurant
- the signature crispy duck. Quite tasty and juicy. Would be amazing if they didn't chop it bones in, this means with every single bite, you get a mouth full of bones. It really ruines the experience. You can see in the picture the pile of bones.
- the pineapple buns. First, I don't know why there is a minimum order of 3, no matter how many people there are at the table. The buns are huge, I would say one is enough for 2 people. They taste good, but honestly it's pretty much bread with pineapple jam. Nothing more, nothing else.
Service:
We'll leave aside that the staff doesn't speak ANY English, which is not unusual in China, but it is in a Michelin restaurant. They're overall nice and fast.
One thing that stood out was that they charge you for napkins :))) Seriously! It's a low amount, but it's more about the principle. Not even at McDonald's do they charge for napkins so you'd expect that a restaurant that strives to be fine dining can provide napkins :))
Overall, it's not an awful meal or experience. But definitely not worth the hype.
