"Unpretentious, natural, simple and honest – that's the motto here. The dishes, which are created using organic seasonal produce sourced from the region wherever possible, are packed with flavour. The menu is vegan/vegetarian, but meat and fish can be ordered as add-ons. Gluten- and lactose-free options are also available. In summer, the garden is idyllic. Cosy guestrooms at Biohotel Werratal." - Michelin Inspector
As ever, everything was perfect. Very friendly and competent staff, excellent food, clean and comfortable room, good parking.
We are guests since 2013, and have always been very happy at Flux in the Werratal. The stay there has, and will be, one of the highlights of the summervtrip to Germany.

We chose to stay here basically to break up two days of long driving, and this place was in the middle of the journey. That the hotel has a bio/eco friendly profile certainly influenced the decision too. The hotel has a very scenic location by the Werra river. You just have to try to disregard the motorway bridge spanning the valley. We were greeted at the reception by a very friendly lady and check in was very smooth. Being a family of four we had two double rooms that were very nicely furnished. The room facing the back had intermittent noise coming from the railway tracks, but not too disturbing, We enjoyed the dinner, prepared with what I assume were locally sourced ingredients. Would be happy to stay here again when in the region.

The staff were exceptional and the food was phenomenal. I felt like my salad had been created using ingredients just picked from the garden. We were there for my daughters wedding. After the wedding the hotel staff actually washed dried and folded suitcase of clothing that had been ruined by something being spilled on it. I am a picky eater but I tried their food and was very pleased. Enjoyed our first visit to Germany and staying here was a part of that.

Stayed 3 nights in this great little hotel with my wife and sister in law. A warm and friendly welcome even though they were extremely busy hosting a wedding. All of the staff at all times were warm and welcoming. My sister in law has lived in Germany for almost 40 yrs so is fluent, my wife is competent and keen to practice her German when she gets the opportunity and I unfortunately speak practically no German but the staff adapted to us all with great ease and charm. Rooms were modern very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Despite its proximity to the railway line and many trains running into the night we slept well and they thoughtfully provided ear plugs for those who are lighter sleepers than us. Breakfast was fresh and adequate to set us up for a days cycling each day. We had one evening meal at the hotel and the food on the 3 course set menu was delicious. Hired good bicycles at a very reasonable cost from the hotel. The beautiful town of Hannoversch Munden is about 6k away and at the confluence of the rivers Weser, Werra and Fulda is a great centre for cycling with long distance, flat riverside cycle routes going in all directions through beautiful countryside and picturesque towns and villages. An amazing short break holiday made special by all of the staff at this lovely hotel. Hope to visit again.

We will definitely come back! The philosophy of the hotel pleased us a lot - thinking and acting according to a more sustainable turism. The dinner was furthermore delicious and price worthy. The closeness to the autobahn was great for those who travel through Germany by car (electric).

We stayed for one night between two days of driving. The hotel was perfect for this purpose. The room was clean, beds nice and the breakfast was good. The staff was friendly and helpful. We had been slightly worried about noise, but the night was fairly quiet and we did not need the complimentary ear buds at all.

It was my first trip to Germany and it was for my sister's wedding. She could not have chosen a better place for us to stay. We were welcomed like family. The room accommodations were immaculate; the organic meals were superb; and the staff could not have been more hospitable and accommodating. The location was surrounded by nature yet close to major highways. It was serene and peaceful. Very relaxing. Highly recommend.

The highlight of our stay was definitely the staff. The hotel itself is nicely situated on the river and the Werratal bike trail and is a nice stop for the night after long days of cycling. Dinner and breakfast were quite nice, but we with the promotion of vegan options we were disappointed to find that there were relatively few items on the dinner menu. The chef made something special for us, but after our 8 hour bike ride we were left feeling hungry, especially considering the price. That said, having a chef and property that acknowledges plant based eaters and does their best is MUCH appreciated. Finally, their wine selection is quite nice and the beautiful patio was a lovely place to enjoy it!
