"A Hayes Valley restaurant whose patio hosts a monthly takeover by the chef’s pop-up; he first rolled in there in October 2024 and has run regular one-night patios there since, with some staff from the restaurant pitching in to help execute the service. "Attached to the oasis-like Alcazar hotel is Birba, which translates to “little rascal” or “scoundrel.” The restaurant’s been slinging homemade pasta, pizzas (it has a cauliflower crust option for the gluten-free crowd), meatballs with ricotta, Berkshire pork with grass-fed beef, roasted chicken with dates and olives, plus inventive cocktails, since 2011.
