1 STAR – Extremely Disappointed with Birchbox I received a Birchbox gift card and was excited to try it out – but my experience has been nothing short of frustrating. Not only did Birchbox send me two of the exact same box just 10 days apart, but they also charged me for both – even though I made it clear that this was a gift and I never intended to pay anything out of pocket. When I contacted customer service, they gave me a confusing explanation about a "monthly" and a "prepaid" membership – as if anyone would logically expect to get identical boxes in less than two weeks. I told them I wanted to return the duplicate, but they refused and hid behind a “no returns, no refunds” policy. It’s unacceptable that they didn’t flag this as an error or make any effort to make it right. Their response? “All purchases are final.” No accountability, no real solution, just scripted apologies and a refusal to take ownership of the mistake. As a new customer using a gift, I’ve now paid out of pocket for a duplicate box I didn’t want. Do better, Birchbox. Until then, you’ve lost a customer – and I’ll be sharing my experience across every platform I can. 🚫💸

My wife's Birchbox annual subscription is THE absolute best Anniversary/Birthday/Christmas, all-occasion lover's gift! She always loves roses, but that's a "known quantity." Chocolates...nah, my wife wants to eat right. Birchbox is always the high point of her month- each month serving up an excellent quality mix of personal care products, make-up, etc. MARICRIS S. is an excellent customer service provider, who today helped us with an account issue- a problem that was actually my own fault. Guys, want a great personalized beauty product backed up with stellar service?? Give Maricris at Birchbox a try! Your wife (& you) will be glad you dod!

I committed to a 3 month subscription. I paid and honored my commitment. I received one box in August ( it is now January!) never received another box. Only way to correspond is through unanswered emails. I just took off autopay. Leaving Birchbox, lesson learned! I am so disappointed for I thought they were a reputable company. Beware!!!

I started Birchbox on a whim, and because I can't afford to try all the wonderful new products on the market. My first box took forever to get to me, even though the company sent an email letting me know when it had shipped and when to expect it. I gave the post office extra time, but when it still didn't arrive, I contacted the company. They couldn't have been nicer. One of their reps got back to me right away, and they promptly sent out a replacement box. Wouldn't you know it, my original arrived the day after I contacted them. I wrote immediately to tell them and offered to return the extra box, but they said it was OK and to enjoy it. Even if they had not done that, I would be happy to stay with them. The samples they send are generous, and the service is above and beyond. I HIGHLY recommend Birchbox if you're interested in trying new products!

Honestly, I don't know where to start!, First, you can not communicate with a human being, at least that you text and required a phone call. They raised the monthly subscription payments without any kind of notification. The monthly samples are " ok", but nothing exciting!, The best thing from of the Birchbox, is in my opinion, " the gift box", really practical and cute. If you asked me, look for another company that most likely have a better quality of monthly cosmetic and beauty samples and better " customer service", and I think you need to pay for your subscription cancellation.

I’m shocked. I’ve been ordering from Birchbox for years. A couple times my loyalty points were not credited to my order but customer service corrected the problem quickly. This time when my loyalty points were not credited to the total I tried to call them and got a recording saying to send an email and providing the email address. I sent two emails. No one ever contacted me to resolve my issue. When the package came today it was ripped open and one of the three items was missing. Of course, I have no way to call or contact customer service to correct the problem. So I spent $74 on an order that I received $44 worth of product. Needless to say I’m very angry. A large company like this needs to have a way to contact them to correct problems.

We were re billed without any notice as outlined in terms and conditions. Impossible to get a hold of customer service to discuss - attempted via email, text and phone (could only schedule a call for 6 hours later). The idea and box itself was OK, found some good products I would use. Box arrived inconsistently and contained a lot of duplicates month over month. I would not recommend, and advise to find another subscription box if in the market.
