I had the opportunity to see Bird and Co's food truck service in all of its glory at a recent wedding. Taking care to make things aesthetically pleasing they made the most of the space with their set ups. They brought with them a sufficient team that made the work seem effortless they got the food ready and in place on time for the guests to enjoy. The food, from the chips to the main dishes taco bar and drinks were lovely. All of the guests were out of their seats for seconds and thirds. I don't think I have had a better more refreshing drink than their fruit/ veggie waters.(See Photos). All of this was accompanied by a youthful, kind, and fastmoving staff, managed by on scene professional leadership. You know you are about to have good food and are in good hands when that blue truck with the bird pulls up. I couldn't recommend them enough.

I came here today with my friends and it was really not all that. The California taco was good, but the house and pollo were missing a little something. The pollo one didn’t have much taste (at all) and the house tacos were meh. The pickled onions didn’t help its case. The chips and guacamole were good, so was the corn. The waitress was a bit odd. A bit useless, really. The only nice person was the brown haired boy at the front whom also brought us our tacos. The place is super nice, nothing negative to say about that. We also had a reservation but had to wait a bit for our table to be ready even though we got there on time. Overall i wouldn’t go back, could be better.

Google
We ordered To-go but inside was super cozy and nice set up, very clean and welcoming. Our to- go order was perfect, did not miss one thing and accommodated our allergy to Nuts, there is no cross contamination in the kitchen which was also another star and they we’re knowledgeable about it. Food was absolutely amazing! We drove over an hour to try this place. Everything was very fresh from sauces to salsa, queso, Gauc, the tacos, the whole nine. If your looking for a taco spot this it! We didn’t get drinks but seeing them they looks delicious. Highly recommend the wings and ribs as well! The ribs were so tender and full of flavor, beats any bbq place we’ve had and that’s including Texas and the south. You won’t be disappointed

I recently ordered from Uber Eats and enjoyed some delicious tacos. They were fairly priced, and I loved the variety of flavors, especially the Mexican and Korean options, as well as the Birria taco. The hot sauce was a great complement, along with the limes. With such a good selection, I would definitely order from here again.

We hired Bird & Co to cater a luncheon for my daughter’s baby shower. From start to finish, the experience was absolutely outstanding. We chose the affordable drop off option with appetizers, taco bar, seasonal salad, and dessert. Delivery was punctual and staff were professional, making everything run smoothly and stress-free. The food was truly exquisite — fresh, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. Our guests could not stop talking about how wonderful everything tasted! The portions were generous as well, ensuring that everyone had more than enough to enjoy. We also really appreciated the food setup — it was casual yet clean, thoughtfully arranged, and so inviting. We are a group with so many food allergies and preferences. The menu options allowed us to accommodate everyone so easily. It created the perfect atmosphere for our event and made everyone feel welcome and comfortable. Working with the Bird & Co. team was such a pleasure, and their contribution made the day so special; the shower was unforgettable. We will definitely be recommending Bird & Co. Catering and look forward to working with them again in the future!

Google
The Adobo taco was out of this world amazing! My kid really enjoyed their taquitos. The house tacos with beef were good but nothing outstanding. My mango margarita was very tasty. Our waiter was pretty absent, he only came by to take the order and give us the bill. It was very busy though. If you plan to go on the weekend make sure you have a reservation. There isn’t much seating.

Google
Really good tacos! They got a pretty respectable variety of flavors at a good price. And I like how you can order them individually for as small or as large of an order as you want. I personally tried chorizo and sweet potato and they were both great! I can't give a lot to the atmosphere though. Because while it does look beautiful with some great on-theme decorations, the volume levels of the employees are out of control. For whatever reason, they are always, and I mean always, hollering, dancing and running around. Let me tell you there's no more awkward a feeling than being about to write your tip, before dropping your pen as you hear an ear-piercing scream from the kitchen, followed by even louder laughing. I'm happy they're having fun, but this place is impossible to recommend to anyone with even remotely sensitive hearing as a result of this. I can't imagine eating in. The volume here could explode at any moment.

Google
Probably the best flipping tacos in the NE area. They aren't authentic, but damn are they good. Host was great too. And the best part is how much food you get for the prices. 10 outta 10 recommend for anybody looking for some good eats.

Yelp
Bird & Co was recommended by a colleague to cater a retirement luncheon at our office in Cumberland Foreside for 50+ staff. Emily Dowd was quick with email replies and very helpful in selecting a menu. The menu looked so delicious I couldn't wait for today's luncheon and went to the restaurant for dinner on Saturday evening. Food was scrumptious and the service was superb! Today Patrick Guerrette arrived a few minutes early which was much appreciated by the staff!! Set up was completed in moments, everything was beautifully presented and labeled and absolutely delicious. Rave reviews from the entire staff!! Well done, Bird & Co Team!! Cherie P

Yelp
A quaint and cozy environmental with an amazing vibe. Super chill and casual as a whole. The decor was fresh, light, and stunning. The menu was initiative and offered a variety of Mexican fusion foods. I ordered a mix of tacos. The Tijuana, the fried polo diablo, the banh mi, and the California. All were delicious, made with fresh fresh ingredients, and extremely flavorful. The service was expeditious. The waitress was kind, willing to explain, and friendly. We will definitely be back! 10/10!!

Yelp
I really had a problem with the seating in this place. It was cramped, with high tables and chairs. Not at all accommodating for a disabled person. The tacos were meh. I know some people have a different experience, but the cook was a new kid who just didn't cut the mustard on the day I went. The tacos were dry and flavorless. I paid too much for two tacos. I hope someone else had a better time than I did.
google avatar

Brooke L.

Yelp
Two stars because the last time we came here the food was fantastic. This time, they left us looking at the menu for 30 minutes and never came back. We went across the street to eat - it's been more than an hour, and our cups of water are still sitting on the table.

Yelp
Got take out so I can't speak of eating inside/service but the food was amazing! LOVE that food items are marked vegan & there was an option to have the vegan tacos put in a separate box. Got the plantain and tofu tacos and each were amazing! Will certainly be back to eat inside!! And can't wait to try the vegan cheesecake. The food was fresh and delicious. No complaints!!

Yelp
It seems like everyone loves Bird and Co and I'm just not one of them. I've been twice and I personally think the space is way too small for how busy it gets and it's on a busy street so I've never been willing to sit outside. The Marg's I've had were good but my husband's beer glass wasn't clean. Tacos come out on one tray and you're left to remember which are which. Remembering isn't something I'm good at while drinking Marg's so inevitably my husband and I mixed up tacos. Staff has been fine but it's loud and crowded. Not my scene and the food isn't memorable. Oh and parking is awful in this area.

Yelp
When I first moved to Portland last year, Bird and Co quickly became my go-to spot for takeout. Their tacos are absolutely delicious, and it's nearly impossible to pick a favorite because each one is so good. The staff is incredibly friendly, and they even gave me free merch for being a frequent takeout customer. I've dined in a few times as well, and the atmosphere is cozy. I especially enjoy sitting at the bar. The margaritas are top-notch. If you're a fan of Mexican cuisine, Bird and Co will not disappoint.

Yelp
Stopped in for quick lunch and enjoyed Bird & Co patio I had the fish tacos and enjoyed them. The Crispy Tofu Tacos were okay but a little too cooked. Worth a stop. Staff was friendly and patio was nice. Inside the restaurant bar seemed small.

Yelp
We are visiting and stopped in at Bird & Co based on reviews. The place was hopping on a Tuesday night with both dine in and takeout orders. The food did not disappoint! We were greeted right away, seated at the bar, and given a few minutes with the menu. We started with the elote. Served on the cob, this was a tastebud treat. My partner and I ordered two tacos each...mine on corn shells. I had the crispy tofu and mojo shrimp. Both were extremely flavorful with a sweet heat. My partner got the street corn chicken and fish taco and said he understands why this place is busy! The interior offers a cozy pub-like feel, and patio seating is available too. Get yourself here for great food and friendly service.

Yelp
We arrived here on a busy night where the restaurant was full. They seated us pretty quick but we did end up sitting outside, while it was a little chilly. It does seem like they could have more seating inside but I think the layout makes that difficult. The food was amazing. I thought the guacamole was really flavorful and the queso was good as well! I got two tacos and they were great as well. I got the California and the street corn chicken. My favorite was the street corn chicken. The flavors were really good together. We finished the meal with churros to share. They were hot and fresh coming out. They were the perfect ending to a great meal.

Yelp
Wow! Variety of tacos. Food was spectacular! We had ordered six tacos. I had the Tijuana, others were California, Cubano, Bahn mi, pork belly. A side order of nacho chips with guacamole and queso. Plus a non-alcoholic margarita. Looking forward to going back. The waitress was very nice. The place was small, yet people were coming and going. Very pleasant to dine in.

Yelp
We were fortunate enough to grab a table alfresco ... and were greeted by a super friendly waiter. Eating outside was awesome! The music selection was perfect ... and the heaters were a great touch. We started the chips and salsa - the salsa was chunky and thick. The flavors were deep and rich ... one of the best I've ever had! The Brussels were cooked to perfection ... the picked onions and jalapeño sauce was AMAZING. The portion and corresponding price was about twice what I would expect for an app ... it was a meal in and of it self. I had 3 tacos / shrimp, my favorite of the 3 ... though something was super spicy - while I enjoyed it, some would not be able to handle it. Pork belly - second most favorite. Nice texture and flavors ... maybe just a tad dry. Chicken - again a little dry but still excellent flavors ... At this point I realized that I probably only needed 2 tacos ... so we didn't have room for dessert! Our waitress was super nice but spread a little thin ... we could have used a refill on water and it took way too long to pay our check.

Yelp
Super busy at 3PM on a Saturday night. Can't wait to come back. Tip- Get the queso, it's amazingly delicioso. Tip- You can make reservations online, super easy. Tip- they server NA beer and cocktails. Kit IPA is super good. Causal dining with super tasty food.

Yelp
Went here the other night for the second time and it was just as good as I remember. The space is small but getting a table has never been a problem. The inside is nice but nothing special but they also have some very good outdoor seating options as well. Service wasn't the best as it was pretty slow. The attitude of the servers was a little short as well but they were very busy. For drinks we got the marg and the sangria. The marg was pretty basic and a little tart. The sangria on the other hand was so amazing! And apparently I ordered the last of it when asking for another so it must be popular. To start for food we got chips and queso and thought it was pretty good but nothing amazing. The chips here though are homemade and very crispy and delicious. For tacos we got the Tijuana, pollo Diablo, fish, chorizo and potato, and the California taco. The tacos here are always very delicious and pack a lot of flavor. They always have a great selection of basic and unique selection too for great prices! My favorite out of the these were the fish and the California! We also got some loaded fries and for $14 you get so much. The plate is almost overflowing. Everything about the loaded fries is just what we want. And the meat within the fried is so juicy and tender and I love these everytime I have them. Finally we ended with some of their choco tacos. If you're looking for a sweet treat at the end of yourmeal definitely get these! They are a good size, very satisfying and the pistachios on top add a lot. Overall we loved the food and drinks here and were satisfied. The service was questionable but I really was focusing on the food itself and I was happy with what I was served. Would definitely recommend this place and I would say they have some of the better tacos around.

Yelp
The vibes- glorious The tacos- delicious and varied (Cuban was my favorite) The staff friendly and helpful and overall an excellent experience!

Yelp
We stumbled upon this cute little restaurant as we were exploring Portland on vacation. I would highly recommend it. They have an excellent menu. The chips and salsa were some of the best I had. And we thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance on the patio with heater lamps, music, and overhead string lights. If you are in Portland be sure to stop by!

Yelp
Bird Co. is hands-down one of our favorite taco spots! The food and drinks get five stars. Smaller place, but perfect for a couple or party of four to head out for dinner or drinks. Service at the bar is always great!
google avatar

Jane G.

Yelp
Note: Review is for takeout only. What I respect about Bird & Co is that they have a solid amount of options for vegetarians/vegans, which is atypical of a restuarant mainly serving tacos. I ordered the fish taco with blackened fried haddock and another one (it might've had brie and something else?). For the low-ish price of $5-6 each, each taco was a solid size. However, I wasn't incredibly impressed with either one. They weren't bad, but they weren't particularly flavorful or memorable, unfortunately. I've heard rave reviews about Bird and Co, so I'm disappointed, but am still willing to give them another chance and hopefully order something else on the menu.

Yelp
Love you forever B&C!! Best food, best margs, best staff, best vibes! Long may you reign

Yelp
One of our absolute favorite places to come for happy hour and tacos. While the menu staples are always good, this is the kind of place where if they have a special GET IT because it will be FIRE. This summer they had a Philly cheesesteak taco on special that was so good. At this point between my husband and I we've tried every taco and I can't pick a favorite, nor is there one I don't like. The coconut lime margarita with tajin rum is my go to drink, so yummy. This place is always packed so either make a reservation or get there early!

Yelp
Wanted to love this taco spot, but just didn't hold up to the hype from friends. Thought the BEST (most delicious) things on the menu were the street corn and the chicken taquitos. Both had a little spicy kick to them, and some great flavor! I ordered the Tijuana (shredded pork) taco, pork belly taco, fried pollo Diablo (spicy chicken) taco, and the house (short rib beef) taco. All the meat seemed dry (the best taco had sour cream on it) and nothing was seasoned. Tacos were really just boring and flavorless. Churros with chocolate sauce for dessert were a little too hard for my liking, but were fresh. I do appreciate the option to replace your corn tortillas with flour ones. I also thought the service was friendly- and thought they handled rude customers (next to us) with the utmost respect and professionalism. I would return JUST for margaritas, street corn, and chicken taquitos!

Yelp
Excellent and friendly service. Huge portion of chips with the trio of salsa queso and guacamole. Tacos delicious, bahn mi is the best! A must try!

Yelp
Outstanding food best tacos I've found in Maine since moving from Kansas City!! We had such a great experience and absolutely fantastic margaritas!! Do not miss the experience that is bird and company!!
google avatar

Yelp
I absolutely loved the food here! Great wings, delicious fusion tacos and yummy ribs. I tried the banh mi taco and it was delightful!
google avatar

Yelp
Out of this world tacos paired with outstanding Guacamole & chips downed with a variety of flavored margaritas! All this with cool ambience and great service!
google avatar

Sam N.

Yelp
Really truly, my favorite place I've been to in 2024! We really loved everything about this place! The tight, pub style ambiance made it feel the right kind of casual and whoever was on aux was killing it. The hosts and the bartenders were great, very attentive, nice, and personable! Really truly 11/10 service. And the food was so good! Especially for how reasonably priced everything was! I was super impressed with the diversity in the menu. I think four wildly different tacos cost around $20. And I will be going back to try those ribs!
google avatar

Ruth Ann B.

Yelp
Found this on our way to to Bar harbor. Worth the detour into Portland! Indoor and outdoor seating. Nice selection of tacos from which to choose. I ordered house chicken taco and also the fried yucca taco- both were excellent! My husband had the house chicken and also the fish tacos. All were very good. After we'd left, a local told us that the guacamole is fantastic. Guess we'll return!

Yelp
Came out on a weekday in an attempt to find great tacos in Portland and found this place on Google. It's a tight, cozy spot with very attentive/friendly staff. Everybody helps everybody and aided in the fun, relaxing atmosphere. Ordered: strawberry rhubarb margarita: mildly strong with subtle strawberry or rhubarb flavor carnitas fries: a hefty portion of fries and carnitas, ranchero sauce on the side is more sweet than spicy,, and would have liked more guac but an overall great app to share or entree tacos: all use flour tortillas and came beautifully presented, not a giant taco but not skimpy either albeit a tad pricey chorizo: the darkest chorizo meat I had ever seen with a smokey spice blend with plenty of hearty potatoes fried fish: crunchy with great fatty toppings ie avocado and sauce pork belly: good mild sweet and spicy flavor and variety of texture but a little dry street corn chicken: the chicken was a little dry but had good seasoning, wish the elote/esquites flavor came through a little more All in all, it was a satisfying, fun meal.
google avatar

Vincent J.

Yelp
Great chicken wings. Had a great sauce that was not overwhelming like traditional buffalo sauce. The dipping sauce taste like a smokey chipotle ranch with hint of lime. The tacos were not bad if you are a meat lover. Out of the four I think the mango habanero spicy chicken was the best and the only one that stood out. The street corn chicken had lack of flavor. The California and the pulled pork had too much meat and overpowered the toppings.
google avatar

Krista R.

Yelp
Yikes. Tacos were ho hum. The meat was painfully dry, the tortillas were obviously store bought, and no house made sauces on the table lead to a very underwhelming meal. The drinks and drink menu were uninspired.
google avatar

Caroline L.

Yelp
Back again for another spectacular meal! Brought some friends who were in Portland for the first time (big foodies) and they said these were the best tacos they'd ever had. I concur. Also, I tried the jalapeno margarita and wow! It's very spicy, but delicious. Kind wish I had done a half and half with the jalapeno and watermelon margaritas... next time! Friendly service, perfect food, great atmosphere- run, don't walk here!
google avatar

Meilin B.

Yelp
Bird & Co is one of my favorites. The customer service is always great, food comes out fast and so delicious. I recommend making a reservation even if it's just for 2 people. They are very busy and even during the "off season" there is usually a 45 minute wait around dinner.
google avatar

H P.

Yelp
Had stopped by here over a year ago to get a quick bite while going through Portland around lunchtime. Needed something quick that I could get a reservation for and didn't want to spend time trying to get parking in downtown. Hoping it would be similar to Bar Taco and my hope was far exceeded. Bird & Co. has the industrial type ambiance similar to Bar with a very friendlier staff. The food itself has a much better variety with some nice international flair. The tacos will take you to Mexico, with their Street Corn taco, to Cuba with their Cuban taco, to Vietnam with their Bahn Mi taco. No matter what you are in the mood for, they will have a taco to suit. The flavors are spot on and Bird is willing to customize the dishes for anyone with dietary restrictions. Since that initial visit, Bird & Co has become a regular go to spot whenever I am in the Portland area.

Yelp
Bomb.com!!!!! We tried a sampler of the taco options and also had the churro French toast! Delicious!! Chill ambience and amazing drinks! A must stop for lunch if you're in Portland! Being from California we have high expectations of the Taco and Bird & Co did not disappoint!

Meghan H.

Yelp
Parking kinda sucks, the place is teeny inside but the food is to die for! Even door-dashing the food you get amazing quality!
google avatar

Colin M.

Yelp
The agave buffalo wings were amazing and the tacos are worth the trip as well. Got the house (chicken) and fish tacos and will definitely be back to try more!
google avatar

Victoria B.

Yelp
Bird & Co has an innovative and down right delicious menu. My favorite taco is the Fish Taco. Still hoping to see the return of the Buffalo Fried Chicken Taco, that one was amazing! I highly recommend ordering the chips, guac, and salsa to start. They also make an incredible dessert in house that is basically a "chocco taco". And you surely can't go wrong with one of their margaritas. They also cater events and weddings!
google avatar

Diana G.

Yelp
Bird & Co is a hidden gem of a place. The space is pretty small, but they use every inch to include a full bar, indoor and outdoor seating, and a great variety of taco options. The tacos were amazing. Of note - the corn tortillas were cooked to perfection! This is obviously not a secret, because they were very busy even in a Saturday between lunch and dinner.
google avatar

Alyssa N.

Yelp
I recently visited Bird & Co for an al fresco brunch (the only way to do it). I had been wanting to visit and try some of their unique tacos (but knew there would be a few less taco options on the brunch menu), but we went for it anyways! The raspberry margarita was delicious and also huge. They have a good tap list as well for those on the beer side of things. The service was really friendly, and anywhere I can eat on a patio in the sunshine, I'm pretty happy :) The food was good, not great. The chips are very tasty, but we didn't love the queso. It just didn't have a ton of flavor. The tacos I went with were the pollo Diablo and the California. Neither were bad at all, but just needed a bit more wetness (for lack of a better term). I ended up adding a bit of the hot sauce on the table and that improved them. My husband enjoyed his chimichanga! I will probably come back in the evening to give some other tacos a try (& for another large and tasty marg!!)
google avatar

Shaun T.

Yelp
Yum yum yum are the three words I'd use to describe this place. Not only are the tacos inventive, tasty and filling, they are really well priced - which says a TON in a market saturated with overly expensive fares. The service folks are all amazing. We only had one bad experience in the 20 or so times we've been here (wrong order and then they forgot to bring drinks). Accidents happen. This place is full of locals, which says a lot. Make a reservation because this place fill up and has limited table seating. Try the guava glazed ribs if you are really hungry - sumptuous with meat falling off the bone and a freaking amazing deal. Seriously, one of those and one taco is enough to fill up a grown man.
google avatar

Eric R.

Yelp
Excellent Maine taco joint... If you can believe that! Staff was fantastic and super friendly. A rarity you don't experience in Los Angeles. The location has ample outdoor in indoor seating. We got the Tijuana tacos with the aju sauce... Great flavor. The spicy chicken tender was good but could use a little more heat. The banh mi taco was on point. The only negative was the chips were a bit salty.
google avatar

Danielle V.

Yelp
Very small inside seating but great outdoor seating in the summer! I am not a tequila drinker but many of my friends love the margaritas. Chips and salsa are fresh. The tacos are on point every time I go with many different options to choose from. I typically just get tacos but they have other options as well. They do have a little bar but my favorite is the outdoor seating!
google avatar

Garrett W.

Yelp
My wife and I love Bird & co. The staff are always pleasant and welcoming, the tacos and margaritas are great and we LOVE the loaded carnitas fries. Great spot all around and the outdoor seating is especially nice.
google avatar

Margaret J.

Yelp
Got take out. The young man who took our order was very amenable and prompt. Small interior but very welcoming. Had ample outside seating and seemed the place to be! Now the tacos, very creative and delicious! I got a bahn mi taco and a street corn chicken taco. Both yummy. My sister got the tofu tacos and declared them very good! A great place and great tacos!!
google avatar

Elizabeth E.

Yelp
The tacos are full of flavor! They are packed. You get 1 taco without any sides, unless you order them separately. I highly recommend the blackened fish tacos. Two tacos make a great lunch. The servers were friendly and helpful. I had questions about using the parking app for the lot next to the restaurant. They were great about answering my questions.

Jackie C.

Yelp
Best Tacos I've ever had. Energetic small neighborhood vibe that was filled with locals and tourists. Out of the way but worth the trip. Ashley was our server and was fast and pleasant. My husband had the fish tacos. Outstanding. Fresh and very vibrant. I had the cubano which tasted like the sandwich. And one of the originals. Both were excellent and filled nicely. Great margarita ! It's always a good sign when the place is packed on a Tuesday. Make sure to find this place.
google avatar

Stephanie O.

Yelp
Does the parking suck? Sure. Is the service a little slow cause they are slammed? Fine. You. Will. Not. Care. Some of the best tacos I have ever had. We got the elotes as an appetizer, my husband got a classic margarita and I got a mockarita that was so delicious I didn't feel like I was missing out. Top to bottom: Tijuana Pork belly Bahn Mi Fried Avocado All of them spectacular, the Bahn mi was my favorite.
google avatar

Tara B.

Yelp
Not once, but twice (same night, as replacement) was my vegan tacos placed with meat tacos spilling their juice around the foil. How do you have vegan items on your menu that you don't separate from nonvegan items? And how do you mess it up again on the revision of said first mistake? I am completely baffled and disappointed.
google avatar

Chloe B.

Yelp
had the banh mi and house taco- really delicious. the chips and salsa were great but we must have gotten the bottom of the chips because there were a lot of broken pieces and crumbs. Otherwise great!
