Birdhouse Books

I found several cheap, amazing used books here. I love how unique this place is. They have an unusual selection, too.

Birdhouse Books is a very beautiful locally owned used bookshop. They have a wide selection of both local books and art. The store partners with Washington and Oregon local authors/ artists in the community to make an inviting creative space. They hold events such as Poetry Nights, Art Collage labs, and have interactive parts to the shop such as take a poem leave a poem and a chess set. The shop has many quirky and fun details with a varying selection of things to buy, plus donating any books allows you 10% off your purchase a fun way to up cycle/ book cycle. My personal favorite however, was the shelf of carefully wrapped 5$ mystery books with only the genre on top. With books, local art, stickers, interactive pieces, and a fun atmosphere there's so much to enjoy in the lovely shop !!!

Lovely little used bookstore with great staff and places to just sit and chill and read books. Wonderful selection, you're bound to find something.

birdhouse books is amaaazing. sweet little spot hidden in downtown vancouver. super cozy, calm, and beautifully put together by sarah and lucas - some of the coolest humans you’ll come across. sometimes i prefer to hangout there and get work done if i want a space less loud & crowded than a coffee shop. and more than once i’ve found some book gems i know i would not find elsewhere. i definitely recommend you visit if you’re in the area. or not. it’s worth the trip.

Eclectic little basement book store right underneath a yummy boba spot. Unique, homey, comfortable. If you like books, and you like downtown Vancouver, it's a must-visit!

Stopped by for the first time and I feel like I discovered a gem! The staff and owner were very welcoming and kind. They have lots of comfy spots to sit and look at books. They also hold events like comedy shows and poetry performances - this feels like a great place to build community. I’ll definitely be back, and next time I’m bringing friends!

Not the biggest selection but really great prices for used books, and they have a bunch of local authors. Will definitely be back to check it out!

Birdhouse books is the perfect place to brush off your literary cobwebs. Make sure you reserve plenty of time to peruse the shelves for great books and great deals. I think I learn something new every time I go.

Book store is downstairs from the boba shop on the street (separate doors). Quaint, quiet, big selection. I purchased two books the total was $17 so great value as each book was priced at over $20 when bought new!

Good place for local authors to sell their books and for customers to find literary works by local talent. Atmosphere of store is just right and service is very friendly.
