Birdhouse Coffee

Took a morning drive to this place since hearing so much about their coffee and it did not disappoint. I got an iced latte with cinnamon bun pumpkin situation and it was so good. We got bagels with cream cheese which came quickly. Nice space to work, or to just chat and hangout with friends!

Their lattes have been some of the best I have found in this area of CT. And they have a nice outdoor seating spot. However, their service is not welcoming at all. Every interaction I have had ordering has been cold and staff doesn’t seem to know how to engage customers. I was going to order food till I saw a fly on the food. Also very over priced.

amazing spot to work and the coffee is delicious! Food is so so but the service is great 😊… I especially love the one barista, Angela. She is so sweet and always remembers my order. I usually just get a cappuccino, but their matcha lemonade is gas.

I review this place as a kitchen for Connecticut Valley Brewing Company. If you treat this place as a standalone coffee shop, then you experience may vary. I came to the taproom and decided to try food from Birdhouse, as this place now serves as a kitchen for the brewery. Unfortunately, my overall experience was underwhelming. We ordered a pizza, fried pickles and a cream cheese Danish. You receive bakery items immediately from the shelf, but the wait time for all the rest is pretty long. I visited this place on Monday which is not the busiest of days. Fried pickles were ready within about 20 minutes, while pizza came out only after 40 minutes wait. The fried pickles were not good. They were crisp up to the point of being burnt, not juicy at all. I can tell that the spices they used were pretty good, but the way they fried them ruined the taste. The pizza was a similar experience - not only the crust was burnt and just too dry, it was also uneven. So some of the slices were chewy. And again, the pizza filling is good (albeit, quite salty), but the preparation was bad. The Danish was fine. I liked it, but my wife didn't.

If you haven’t come here yet, make sure you do. Awesome service and food, nice crowd plus live music!

coffee was good, extremely mid and flavorless food. hotel eggs, canned spinach, and fake avocado spread. shouldn’t be paying $15 for food that’s not even fresh.

Adorable place and good coffee. Even the candy corn coffee wasn’t too sweet which I liked. But we waited about 30 minutes for our 2-person coffee order (no food). It was the absolute longest I’ve ever waited for a drink. I think the place is cute but I can’t imagine going back with this wait in mind. I guess it would be ok for someone working on their laptop and has time to kill. I cannot imagine how long someone would have to wait for their food order. Seriously, if you go here on a weekend, be prepared to wait 30 minutes+ for your food and coffee.

Absolutely stunning spot! Bird House Café in South Windsor is such a hidden gem. The outdoor seating area is magical—especially the cozy fire pit, which adds such a warm and inviting vibe. Perfect for a relaxed catch-up or a quiet moment with your coffee. Speaking of which, the coffee was excellent—smooth, rich, and clearly made with care. I also tried the biscotti, and it was delicious and very reasonably priced. Friendly staff and a great atmosphere make this a place I’ll keep coming back to. Highly recommend!

Parking: huge lot Decor: fresh and clean, off to the side of a larger area that is a brewery (location is inside a brewery) quite brisk inside, most had long sleeves on. Staff: friendly but the speed of taking care of customers is on the slower side, normally a line. Menu: coffee selection limited to light, medium, dark. No french press option but they do offer a pour over. Overall: not bad but felt odd being in a brewery with louder music playing so not really conducive to getting work done. Also asked to buy a travel mug and they only sell coffee cups which I found odd.

Finally made it up to Birdhouse Coffee on a rainy Saturday. Birdhouse Coffee has been on my list for a while, and I've been drawn to their Monthly Special drinks. Birdhouse Coffee and Connecticut Valley Brewing share the same space, which provides plenty of seating, both inside and out. Each section has its own vibe, continuing a classic, old-time aviation theme. It was fairly busy, but we were able to find a seat in the brewery area. Birdhouse Coffee offers both breakfast and lunch, along with their coffee and baked goodies. Unfortunately, we arrived too early for lunch--the kitchen switches over at 12 p.m. on Saturdays, and we arrived a little after 11:30 a.m. We settled on a rich Espresso Brownie Coffee Crumb Cake to pair with our specialty drinks. I tried the April Shower, which was so fitting for the day--an iced blue bellini tea (which I spotted on the shelf for purchase), honey, and topped with a sweet 'cloud.' It was light and not too sweet. My mom ordered the Blueberry Pancake Chai, which was also very good. The maple, cinnamon, and warm spices were perfect for the day. We'd definitely love to come back to try more of Birdhouse's coffee and some of their lunch or dinner items next time.

Came to this wonderful coffee shop after the wedding of one of my friends and I really enjoyed the experience! Tried their banana pudding latte and it was delicious!!! I also loved their pistacchio muffin! The coffee shop also has a brewery right next to it with beer on tap, so it was quite nice to have the option to enjoy some coffee before some afternoon drinks! Wish I lived closer so I could come to this coffee shop again!

Birdhouse Coffee is connected to the Connecticut Valley Brewing. We got a table at the Brewery and ordered food via online from the Birdhouse Coffee. There were seats in the coffee shop as well, but it was packed. The parking lot was big and it had plenty of spots. My husband and I both ordered a chicken salad wrap, he had it with fries, I had it with tater tots. They said it would be about a 20 to 30 minute wait and the food would be ready by 4:30; we understood since it was super busy, they also said that we would get a text when it's ready. By 4:50, we didn't get a text so my husband went to check with the counter and the food was ready a few minutes after. Aside from the wait, the chicken salad wrap was good, the tater tots were slightly soggy, not sure how long it was sitting. I'm planning to check out their coffee next time since we already had coffee from a different place. Also, I think it's a great idea that it's connected to a brewery; I didn't mind the wait as much since I had some beers in the meantime.

I'd rate this at a 3.5 if I could, so they get a 4 with rounding. SERVICE still really good service, the girls at the counter were helpful with any questions I had. Offered suggestions on drinks. DRINK I enjoyed my drink, I got an iced peppermint mocha. Not the best peppermint drink I've ever had but I did enjoy it. In the past I got things with cold foam and felt it wasn't very foamy and not worth the price add on so I avoid now. FOOD I was really looking forward to my sandwich. I got the early bird sandwich and was excited as I love pesto and birdhouse does their eggs just how I like (over medium). I was shocked when I got my sandwich. For $10.50 I couldn't believe I got a half sandwich that they couldn't even be bothered to have the bread facing the same direction when they slapped it on the platter (along with a pink syrup-y splotches of something from another dish or drink on the paper). I know their menu offers half sandwiches but what I ordered called it a breakfast sandwich. There also was hardly a drizzle of the pesto aioli on there. Between a small drink and my food I paid almost $20. I did enjoy what I had but the value simply wasn't there for me. I would still go to birdhouse when they have their special market events because it does make the trip more worth it for me, but overall I won't go out of my way to get food/drink here.

One of the best local places to go for cars and coffee (Sundays). Always a nice variety of cars and mature crowd. The coffee is good, pastries taste fresh. Prices are a little steep and they usually can't keep up w demand - a long wait is the norm here (don't get a brk sandwich and you'll get your order a LOT faster). But overall I love the atmosphere and people here. I've also stopped by on Saturday and it's very chill. Nice seating areas to sit and work or just relax w a friend.

I've been meaning to try Birdhouse Coffee for a bit now, but was never close by.... aaaaand then one day, I had a client booking up in that area and I capitalized on it! The space is pretty cool as it's very open and connected to a brewery. The staff seemed like they were bothered to have to stop chatting in order to take a customer's order. As for the coffee, it was decent. I've been to quite a few coffee shops and usually order the same one or two drinks. In this case, the coffee itself (iced americano) was pretty good, but the cold foam just kind of dissolved into the coffee making it just a latte. If I return, I'll be skipping the foam.

Pricy, but much improved. Came here again to try their food and drink. Today I got a great service and a good meal for the price. They have honed in their menu and switched to breakfast sandwiches with bakery items. The particular sandwich was a seared sausage disk of impressive thickness and good flavor. The cheese was present but not overpowering, and the egg was a perfect over medium. With just enough yolk ooze to mellow out the heavy cheese and sausage. The coffee is still very good. Strong enough to stand up to strong chocolate flavors but not skimp on the other flavors either. It also had enough sweetness to counteract the bitter and still have character. Not shown was a lemon poppyseed muffin. Which was relatively fresh, a very present but not obnoxious amount of lemon, a little sweet and very plentiful. A very good muffin for sure. It's a great improvement from what I've gotten before. They saw where they could improve and have done so. It's still pricy, the 3 items came up to 22 bucks. But the quality of the ingredients and dishes served justify the bill. Kudos to birdhouse coffee for the efforts for excellence, shaving you can give these guys a try!

The past year and a half they have screwed up my coffee order twice. Now I don't live locally but I do stop there occasionally. I also have been going there since they opened. I will not be going back there again as I have emailed them twice about the problem and they have not responded. I went in and ordered a latte just plain, and it had pumpkin spice in it. I didn't realize it until I got further away from the café. I will also be telling my friends and family not to go there. It's one of those coffee places where people have tattoos, piercings, and green and orange hair anyway.

I love the seasonal options at Birdhouse Coffee! The service was great, I got my drinks super fast despite there being quite a long line. The seating in the brewery area is also really nice and would be a great place to come grab a coffee and study for a bit.

Ambiance 5 - super cool, young, hip, lots of seating and parking, cute decor Food 4 - chicken nuggets were delicious, soft, and tender Coffee 3 - it was fine, dirty chai latte was quite watery, but it made me feel kind of sick afterwards. Maybe the beans were burned or the milk wasn't fresh, unsure. Prices 2 - expensive! $1-2 on average above all else for everything. Service 1 - my goodness, would it kill the staff to flash a smile or make you feel welcome in any way? I spoke to three different people and they all made me feel like I was bothering them. I wasn't asked "what can I get you" when I went to go order, and was made to feel rushed and like I couldn't take my time. Later while sitting, I asked one of them if they had a changing table in the bathroom (before lugging two kids and a double stroller into there) and she looked at me with daggers in her eyes, before answering "unsure" and waltzing away. Other employee was walking around, but didn't think to offer to bring me my food and beverage, even though I was breastfeeding one baby and holding my toddler simultaneously. A fellow guest offered to go get me my stuff. It's the little things that matter in service, and none of that existed here. I left as soon as I could, as I just did not feel welcome. They do seem to have cool events and live music frequently, so maybe nice to give it another try.

I have been here twice, and both times I was disappointed but for different reasons. 1. I came on a weekend and it was busy as expected. However, I only ordered two coffees and it took over an hour for me to get them. Also, there was a woman with her special needs child next to us, who ordered before us, and they totally forgot about them and did not receive their order until asking multiple times. The coffee was not worth an hour wait. 2. I came on a weekday to work and I like working there. However, my latte tasted super weak compared to other places I order the same thing. I know lattes have a lot of milk but you should still be able to taste the espresso. I like the vibe they have in there, but the coffee and service are not the best in the area in my opinion.

I've been here a few times since they've opened and I always enjoy it. I find them to be consistently good with their offerings. I can always find a great breakfast option, pastry or a delicious coffee to fuel my morning. The space that's shared with ct valley brewing also allows for a relaxing setting. Definitely worth checking out!

Heard a few people mention this place. I went on their website and saw a nice Navy Blue Camping cup that I would like to purchase. They had one in white and it said it was out of stock. But I decided I wanted the blue one Went to the location to purchase the Navy Blue cup. None there but plenty of white ones and power blue ones I asked the girl behind the counter about the Navy Blue cup and she said they must be out. WHAT!!!! But I decided to get the white cup instead. Thought I would try a blueberry muffin too. My total bill came to $20.75 Now I know the cup cost $12. so the Muffin was $8? Well I can go to the local grocery store and get a 4 pack of the same sized muffin for that price. I guess you pay for the vanity !

Love this place I would go here every day if I could! I got avocado toast here my first time coming and then I got a coffee cake muffin that was sooo good! They are always so friendly when I go and the service is always fast! The inside is so spacious and cute and great for studying or handing out!

Cute, charming coffeehouse. Unique, fresh, and delicious pastries. Perfectly prepared breakfast. Hot cups of happiness in the form of lattes. I will return here every time I visit the area!! Try the pistachio muffin!!

5's across the board! Not only was the staff super helpful and the service super quick. The food and beverages were phenomenal! I don't live close to this location, but I will definitely be back very soon for their seasonal drinks because they are five out of five! Anyone looking for a cool place to hang out and get some work done the atmosphere is super chill. They have a lot of tables and even cool comfy seating area with a vibe and great playlist! This is definitely going to be my go to spot for the summer, they have outdoor patio areas with fire pits and comfy coaches. It's like being at a cool bar but getting awesome coffee at the same time! did I mention they also have a brewery! Can't wait to come back!

One of my favorite spots. Have been coming here for past couple years. Great location, always an event to look forward to. Even when not having an event, very comfortable and engaging atmosphere. Love bringing my dog here. Dogs aren't allowed inside. So makes it hard going alone as their outside window isn't for service. But I try to eat beforehand if I won't be meeting someone who could get my food. That's the only downfall to this place. The food is great, drinks are plenty and so much variety. Highly recommend. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all wonderful. Never had a bad order. Food is fresh. Bakery items are hard to pass by! They look amazing. Also have bought many mugs, cups, etc that have lasted. A must try if you haven't been here.

Place is inside the Connecticut Brewery. They have an impressive menu of simple breakfast items and coffee. Great sweet delights, a variety of muffins. You get to order your food at the counter and pick it up. No table side service. Pretty large area with cool looking decor, lounge style sofas, and many tables. It is good for groups, food comes out really quick. The place gets busy for breakfast on the weekends. I tried the Brewers breakfast cones with two eggs, bacon and home fries, pretty simple and delicious. Got to try the avocado sandwich, breakfast burrito and the brewers breakfast they are too good. Highly recommend for nice breakfast and coffee.

My second time to this nice cafe tucked into a brewery. It was a beautiful day and the place was packed because of a car show on the premises. Our food and drinks took nearly an hour. However, there's plenty of seating indoors and outside and you get texted when your order is ready. The place just has a good vibe.

The coffee is so good. The sour and bitter taste, is balanced. The croissant at first came cold and i ask them to warm it up and they did, after that it was good. The place is big. A lot of room to seat and some good music & good vibes.

I am giving 2 stars since, prior to today, I loved this place. Had I only based this review on today, it would be zero stars. My husband and I waited 30 minutes for our food. I understand processes sometimes break down and there can be delays, that is life. However, when I asked someone about the order, since people who had ordered after us were already done eating, I was told they were "just finishing it up"...when I saw the woman take what seemed to be our ticket, sitting all alone and hand it to someone in the kitchen. We then waited another 15 minutes to finally get part of our order, with which there was an anouncement that our food was ready but then nowhere to be seen. So we went up and they located what was ready. I then told them there was a muffin in the order, which the easily retreived. In this whole thing, I spoke with two people regarding the delay, in reply there was one lie and absolutely no apologies from the Birdhouse staff. I will not be returning and will be referring to this place as another kind of house.

This place always has a long line for a reason. Coffee and food are great! I also love grabbing my coffee beans from here. Very cozy ambiance and great place to bring a toddler.

I love coming here! The atmosphere is always buzzing with some event or theme and the frequent rotation of specialty lattes make it so you always have something new to look forward to. They also have pastries baked mostly in house. I've tried a handful of them and they are just ok. The danishes are never baked properly. They are too light in color due to the flaky pastry not being baked for the proper amount of time and it takes away from the tasty fillings. The egg sandwiches are really very good. Usually the wait isn't too long despite there frequently being lines and the staff is mostly pretty friendly and helpful. They really seem to enjoy their job and take care to make really good lattes. This is one of my favorite coffee shops to visit all year!

Cute atmosphere. Really quaint with lots of seating. Very quick service. Good coffee but wasn't too flavored to taste like a drumstick, wish it was a little more flavorful. Regardless, I would definitely go back as it seems they're constantly making specialty drinks. Bagel with cream cheese was also a good quick breakfast option

If coffee is not your thing not to worry. By day, a coffee shop, on weekends a brunch spot, in the evenings: extension to the brewery serving dinner and amazing desserts. This is by far my favorite local coffee shop. It has outdoor seating with firepits that set the mood for a relaxing summer night. Perfect spot to catch up with a friend or get some studying/work done. My go-to order is a cortado, always made to perfection, chocolate dunked donut holes were to die for. The homemade pastries served at this cafe are stunning. The menu constantly changes according to the seasons or upcoming holiday.

The ambiance is adorable and cozy yet chic, but the real appeal is the quality of food and bev. No exaggeration, I had the best breakfast sandwich of my life here the other day (called "The Breakky" and I added the basil aioli if you want to experience magic as well) and they've never missed the mark with their constantly changing drink menu either. Cannot recommend this place enough. Indoor seating is air-conditioned and outdoor seating consists of a lovely patio with umbrellas.

I went for a coffee on a weekday morning. The place was quiet, spacious and cozy. Cinnamon roll latte was one of their all time favorite. That was my favorite too. Rose latte was a seasonal special. I loved the rose flavor as well. I had a cranberry turnover, which was good as well.

Wow! First time going to Birdhouse cafe but I loved it! I decided to stop in here while my bf was playing tabletop games a few mins away. I'm an artist so I love bringing my iPad to different places and drawing for hours - preferably cafes. And this was the perfect cafe for it! On food: the Reuben sandwich was delicious! I do wish they gave some extra thousand island or like an aioli on the side for sandwich and fry dipping but it was still really good. The bread was crisp and the corned beef fall apart tender and juicy. Just how I like it. The fries were good too but not the best I've ever had. I'd still try the fry flight though - especially if I was next door having a beer! I also got a s'mores iced latte to sip on while I worked. This was a seasonal drink. I didn't take a pic cause it honestly wasn't very pretty. It was pretty good - not amazing. There was barely any foam on top which was weird compared to their photos on insta. But it was still good - not too sweet but not a strong mocha flavor which was a little disappointing. Altogether still better than Starbucks so I couldn't really dock any points. The place is beautiful. The store is connected to the CT Valley Brewing company but they're separate enough that it doesn't feel like you're getting much beer crowd in there. It's still 100% a cafe. The workers were very kind but it was also pretty busy there when I went as you may be able to see (this was after it had calmed down) but I didn't mind since I was planning to sit and eat anyways. The place is bright and light, and decorated with bird houses, and a ridiculous amount of branded gear lol! But all of the gear was classy and super cute. I just couldn't bring myself to buy any of it as someone who wasn't necessarily "a big fan" yet. This place is 45mins away from my home after all. I spent 5hrs here and couldn't complain about anything other than it being a little chilly. If you plan on sitting for a while I do recommend bringing a cardigan but there's also really nice outdoor seating worst case scenario. I moved from the main seating to the couch seating and was really happy there since there were outlets around there as well. Altogether would visit and work there again!

After hearing many wonderful things about Birdhouse, my friend and decided to check it out. It was pretty busy at 11am that we went in a Saturday. The outside looks big since it's connected to CT Valley Brewing. It's pretty nice. Ordering was very organized. They do encourage while waiting in line to Order ahead by using their app because it gets so busy. I had an egg/ bacon/ cheese sandwich on a GF bread. The GF bread definitely was fresh but it needed flavor. Wasn't crazy about it . But I did order a pistachio Latte and it very very good. It tasted like pistachio. So I did enjoy my drink. While we were there we checked out the brewery and a few vendors they had in yesterday. There is sitting on both sides of the building outside and tables inside as well. Because it was a beautiful day yesterday we grabbed a seat outdoors and enjoyed our breakfast. I'd come back for coffee if I'm Near the area and check Out CT Valley Brewing as well. Birdhouse offered pastries, a few breakfasts items and lunch items as well!

LOVE this place. My sister was in town and loves coffee so we both tried this place during a weekday morning. It wasn't super busy that time but the second time we went, it was a lot busier. I've never been during the hours of the brewery it's next to so I can't speak to how busy it is when both businesses are open at the same time. They have outdoor seating which we enjoyed both times we went. There are umbrellas on their outdoor benches. During our first visit, we got two of their latte specials that consisted of white mocha and the other a blueberry foam. We saw a menu that said they make their own types of cream cheese so we asked if they could split one bagel and place a different spread on each slice. They were happy to accommodate. We tried the blueberry cream cheese and chive and herb. During our second visit, we tried the jalapeño and bacon cream cheese. I ordered a small lavender latte with almond milk which came out to about $6 so not the cheapest but still sooo good. Out of all the cream cheeses, my favorite was the blueberry one. This is new go-to coffee spot. Don't forget to grab a stamp card! Your 10th coffee is free and I'm already halfway there :)

Great spot for gatherings. This coffee shop is connected to the brewery which has ample space and seating plus the bonus of staying for a while because you can go from coffee to adult beverages without ever leaving your spot. They have a variety of food options for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Birdhouse Coffee shop is so fun! They're right next to a brewery, they're actually in the same space. I'll be reviewing the brewery another time. It was so busy when I went to Birdhouse a few days ago, there were so many people connecting with friends and sharing baked goods over Christmas break. There were festive ornaments hanging from the ceiling. They have a piano, not sure how often it gets played but it's there. There is a genuine holiday energy here, which I really enjoyed. I got something a bit different this time. I got the Eggnog Chai Latte. I also got their cookie sandwich. I sat by the window with my treats. There was Taylor Swift music that they had playing. My Eggnog Chai Latte was really delightful. I could taste the cinnamon in it, and maybe a bit of turmeric. It was creamy and hot, a real cozy treat for the cold day it was. My cookie sandwich was a big one. I didn't realize how huge it was till it was in my hands. Here are two large chocolate cookies, with chocolate drizzle and topped with candy cane crushings. The middle is filled with butter cream, that actually looks like marshmallows. Oh my, was I on a sugar rush on this day. I had a half then the other half the next day. I like going here in the summer too. Their patio is filled with benches, of coffee drinkers and beer drinkers alike. It's a very lively and fun space to meet friends.

The atmosphere is nice and I like the idea of having an adjoining cafe and brewery, however, we went for counter-service breakfast and ended up waiting 50 minutes. While the food itself was good, we were surprised and disappointed to receive only half sandwiches, something that wasn't mentioned anywhere on the menu. If you're okay with small portions and plan to visit during off-peak hours, it might be a nice spot for a snack. Otherwise, I wouldn't recommend it for a full meal or if you're on a schedule.

First but not my last time finally visiting. I ordered an iced latte with their seasonal cold for them in a croissant on the side. The employees are very helpful even though it's very busy. It's right next to Connecticut Valley brewing company So if you're with someone that doesn't really like coffee but like Subaru you both be happy. It was pretty packed when I went there and I'll definitely be back to try some of their other small batch roasted coffee. It's a bit of a drive for me but well worth it for good coffee

A great thing about being a Foodie around present- buying holidays and birthdays, is that you can totally sneak in some Foodie Adventures if you properly plan your shopping. Yesterday, I shopped in Evergreen Walk in South Windsor. That put me firmly in Birdhouse Coffee Country, which has been on my Try List for some time. I'm a black iced coffee drinker from waaaaaay back, but today, I went a little outside my comfort zone. Being the holidays and all, I ordered a small holiday themed "Rainbow Cookie Cold Brew". Because I'm THAT guy, I also bought a small black iced coffee as insurance. The Rainbow Cookie Cold Brew wasn't too sweet, still had some of the qualities I appreciate in a good Cold Brew, and offered little dashes of sweet sprinkles. The Black Iced Coffee was also good. It was too late in the day to get that great breakfast sandwich Elisa F (aka IG's @funtereats) recently ordered, but I had to check Birdhouse's food abilities somehow. So I bought a number of desserts for the family. I sampled the Butterscotch Bundt Cake, a Chocolate Peppermint Cake, Blueberry Coffee Cake and a Raisin White Chocolate Chip cookie. They ranged from pretty good to very good. The atmosphere was cool. There is inside and outside eating. If you don't know, Birdhouse shares a large building with Connecticut Valley Brewing. So you can chill, or get helped up. Your call. I get the buzz. Visit Birdhouse Coffee if you find yourself in the area! 4.5 Stars.

Solid 4. I was in town visiting my brother and sister in law and they brought me here raving about the coffee. They weren't wrong. I ordered their seasonal rose latte and it was perfect. I'm a huge fan of floral flavors and the rose definitely tasted natural and not overpowering. I was a little nervous about the sweetness since I don't usually put any sugar in my coffee, but even with the regular amount of syrup, it did not taste too sweet. I wish I could drink this over and over again. Since we were there early, we also ordered breakfast alongside our drinks. I got the egg and cheese breakfast sandwich with bacon on an everything bagel. It was a good sized sandwich but I didn't think it was anything special- just okay. We ordered a few blueberry donut holes too- they were good but very sweet. Service took a while but it was a busy morning with a car show and market happening outside.

Birdhouse is A-OK! Been three times now, coffee once, and coffee and a breakfast sammich the other two times. The coffee has never disappointed, and the breakfast wrap was great...even without the bacon ("WHAT?! You didn't get the added bacon?!" I know...I know...it really didn't need it though. "...WHAT?!" Fine. Next time, I promise!) Parking was nice, the space is nice, clean, well laid out and comfortable, with lots of outdoor seating and nice clean bathrooms. Plus it's attached to a CT Valley Brewery, and even shares one of the entrances. You could probably spend all day here / in the brewery if you brought some games or work! Pricing is a tad steep, particularly once you add a tip, but the same is true of the green mermaid mega-chain coffee place, and I'd much rather go to Birdhouse.

A coffee shop connected to a brewery?! What an amazing idea! Honestly used to just walk right by here and go for a beer at CT valley instead but I was seriously missing out. My husband and I love to brew our own coffee and get beans at local coffee shops or at stew Leonard's. My husband decided on a whim to come here and we got the most amazing coffee beans! Prices are extremely fair! Not only that but the quality is probably the best I've had in the state. We got their espresso and their bluebird house blend beans. I drink my coffee black and I can seriously just taste all the notes they mention on their description (bluebird)- vanilla, caramel, and apple. So so good! So happy my husband gave this place a shot because I am such a fan!

Excellent coffee in a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. The staff were extremely friendly and the food (we got the loaded tater tots) was excellent. They have tons of seating indoors and outside. Bonus: their straws are made from recycled plastic... five stars!

The food was excellent. Delicious and plentiful. The service could've been better though. The app said my food was ready and when I went to pick it up it wasn't and the employees don't make eye contact with you so you can't get their attention.

We went to try this place because we were in the area and the photos of the food online looked really good! This is a total sham. Everything was actually disgusting and extremely expensive for the small portion. The potatoes were straight from a freezer bag with no seasoning. The corn beef was pre made and they gave you a teaspoon portion. The gluten free bread (take this with a grain of salt) was the worst I've had. I asked for extra cheese and there was no cheese. It was an extra $4 for a frozen sausage patty. Please do not eat breakfast here just get a drink and leave. Ambiance is fine but the place was dirty with food all over the floor.

One of my go to cafes in CT! Can't go wrong with any latte! Love their seasonal lattes! My current favorite is the Tiramisu Latte! Great flavor and just the perfect amount of sweetness!

Lattes aren't made with love anymore they always taste like straight milk. Staff could be friendlier as well.

A delicious brunch spot! We went to try out Birdhouse on a beautiful (read: not humid) Sunday morning. There was a car show going on there which added to the fun. Birdhouse has indoor and outdoor seating. They are attached to CT Valley Brewery so there is extensive outdoor seating (patio or grass) on both sides. The brunch menu is fairly limited but each option is amazing (the four of us each got a different breakfast). My daughter's banana bread french toast for the win. I opted for the avocado toast which was quite tasty. They make their own coffee and it is on point. They also offer an array of milks if you are dairy free.
