Review of Birds of Paradise @ Jewel We’ve enjoyed Birds of Paradise ice cream a few years back, and every now and then we still find ourselves coming back for a treat. During our visit to Jewel today, I couldn’t pass up the chance to savour their 5-star ice cream — and what a bonus it was not having to queue for the usual 50 minutes or more! We went for their handmade cones, which were unbelievably good — crisp on the outside with a rich, buttery fragrance. They paired beautifully with my favourite flavours: White Chrysanthemum with cacao nibs and Lychee Raspberry. Both were refreshing, delicate, and perfectly balanced. Overall, the experience was simply awesome — a perfect combination of great flavours, well-crafted cones, and a touch of indulgence that never disappoints.

Ice cream shop selling delicious and unique flavours (such as white chrysanthemum, lychee raspberry and midnight gianduja) served in a cone / cup. Highly recommend the cone option and their popular flavours such as Pistachio and Pandan Coconut Caramel. Takeaway option is only available at this branch, and there is no option to taste the flavours before purchase.

Excellent gelatos, we had the pistachio, the hazelnut as well as the blue pea with macadamia. All were creamy, rich and flavourful without being overly sweet. The thyme cones are also crisp and fresh but a little too crumbly. The worst part is the perpetually long queue.

the smoothness of the gelato is certainly desirable and a hallmark of this gelato . it's distinctive botanical flavours , truly differentiate Birds of Paradise to other gelato. They offer a unique sensory experience beyond just texture.

Gelato heaven. This is probably Singapore’s best locally produced lot of seasonal and favorite favored gelato. Always order with the freshly baked waffle cone. Special appreciation to the white chrysanthemum favour that has remained a signature for years.

i’ve always loved BOP for their unique ice cream flavours and their really special cones. around 3 months back, i bought a lychee raspberry on a cone with my friend, unfortunately just a few minutes and bites in, i dropped it.. i went back to purchase another cone and explained to the staff im buying the exact same thing because i had dropped my cone. i didn’t expect to receive anything at all, not even a (secretly) bigger scoop. but the staff that is shown in the background of the photo, blessed me another lychee raspberry cone on the house. i was really super thankful after the embarrassing and heartbreaking incident :”( and she really made my whole day!! big shoutout to that staff, didn’t manage to get her name. but i’ll for sure continue to be a regular customer of BOP :) customer service is really 🆙🆙 at this outlet

Not sure what the hype is about this ice cream store. Had it twice but I guess it still doesn’t suit my taste. The waffle is okay though. The sweetness of the ice cream feels cloying sweet.

I went to Jewel specifically for this ice cream spot, and while the line was a bit long, it moved fairly quickly! I'd heard a lot of hype around this place, so I had to give it a try. They offer some really unique flavors, and I decided on a waffle cone with a scoop of their popular White Chrysanthemum flavor. It was floral and not too sweet, which I enjoyed. Their waffle cones are freshly made too, which added an extra yummy touch. I didn't have room to try any other flavors this time, but I'll definitely be back for more!

An ice cream shop that is inspired by botanical flavors of nature, Birds of Paradise offers gelato that are infused with fruits, flowers, herbs, and spices, which typically makes their ice cream... healthy! There are quite a few interesting flavors to choose from; I sampled almost every one. There are flavors such as: white chrysanthemum, peace & rose sorbet, pandan, masala spice, and lemongrass ginger. I settled for the lychee raspberry - my favorite out of the bunch. They definitely taste different and unique, which I'm not too used to because pretty much, almost every other ice cream shop in the world (especially USA) have sweet artificially flavored/colored ones. The gelato here are more pastel-colored and on the less-sweet side, which I actually prefer since I'm not trying to eat TOO much sweets as of lately and I actually did not feel fat or bloated after eating it haha; I honestly could've had another scoop and I'll still feel fine! The gelato here would appeal more to those who are cutting down on sweets or those who are less tolerant of sweets. There are a ton of shops and restaurants to visit in Jewel and this place is one of them, thanks to my Singaporean friends for the recommendation. In other words, I highly recommend Birds of Paradise!

My friends raved about this ice cream shop and how the flavors are different from the typical vanilla, chocolate and strawberry. The flavors available are mostly fruit and herb based. Strawberry basil? Spiced pear? I tried a few and decided on the earl grey lemongrass and lychee raspberry. The earl grey lemongrass is creamier and sweeter, with a soft lemongrass flavor. The lychee raspberry is a safe bet. It has a stronger lychee taste over the raspberry but it does not overpower it. It is more like a sorbet which is lighter. My only issue is finding this place! For now, it is located next to the clothing store In Good Company, rather it seemed to share the same shop front as that except it took up a little corner of the space.

We dropped by to checkout the Jewel, and saw there was a long line for this ice cream place. Looked it up, saw it had good reviews, so de used to get in line as well because we LOVE ice cream. Also, the line went down fast, yay. They have unique flavors, and we chose a waffle cone with scoops of white chrysanthemum and midnight ganduja. They were both amazing! I would have loved to try out their various other flavors.
