Great customer service, it was my first time there and the staff kindly informed us that there was free tasting available. With that we were able to try out different flavours and select the flavour that suit our fancy. Highly recommend getting the Valrhona Sea Salt Cookies and Cream if you get the chance as it’s a Christmas special, i loved the balance between sweet and salty. It also has little chunks of oreo bits which added a nice texture. Cone became soggy quickly tho as the ice cream melted pretty quickly on this sunday afternoon.

kind and polite staff with fast efficiency, got to try different flavour before ordering too :) Several flavours to choose from and the thyme cone is very flavourful! The choc sorbet I've ordered is just nice! It isn't too heavy/powerful and still have that rich choc taste

Yea look, I'm a boring sorta guy, so even though I tried different flavours, I stuck with my vanilla guns. But this vanilla is pretty great, cos it's with something fancy like figs. Having said that, the pistachio ice cream is rich, the seasalt houjicha is a close second. Don't be silly and get the ice cream in a cup, the thyme cone is the star of the show. It really is something else. Heads up that yes, it is a bit pricey. Between the three of us, the tally came up to S24 and there's no place to sit down. You'd just have to grab and go and eat en route to wherever you're heading to next.

Such a gem! I finally got to try Birds of Paradise after hearing so much about it - and it totally lived up to the hype. The flavors are so unique and refreshing (I got the White Chrysanthemum and Lychee Raspberry, and both were amazing). You can really taste how thoughtfully made everything is. The thyme cone is a must-try too - warm, crispy, and adds such a nice herbal touch. The store itself has a clean, calming vibe, and the staff were friendly. Definitely worth the wait, and a must-visit if you’re into artisanal ice cream with a twist! 🍦✨

It was our first time trying. Super thankful for the staff at that time we forgot to get her but she was so helpful in helping us choose what flavors to get. I think we ended up with hazelnut, pistachio, raspberry sorbet and butterfly pea somthing haha i forgot buuuttt the flavors were amazinggg. It was not to heavy. Just the perfect amount. 100/10 would recommend.

Tried 2 of their best sellers - white chrysanthemum and lychee raspberry - in a thyme cone (total $11.3) and it was very nice. The gelato was decently thick and the taste was strong.

There are various creative flavours of gelato at Birds of Paradise, which you can get either in a cone or in a cup. This is one of the better, if not the best, gelatos in Singapore that I have tasted. Staff are polite and efficient. Give it a try if you want gelato that is clean and light - you won’t feel exhausted after eating this.

Really beautiful ice cream parlor with unique and exotic flavors. The ice cream itself however didn't quite live up to expectations as the flavor was quite muted and the texture a bit icy. It's quite pricey as well so while lots of people recommended Birds of Paradise, I don't think it lives up to the hype.

First time here, we got the macadamia and butterfly pea on a waffle cone Note there is no sampling allowed so you are basically shooting in the dark here Taste 1/1* We were lucky and got one that tasted really good, and I say lucky cause it was not one of their 'top sellers' Value 0.5/1* Slightly on the expensive side, even as a B&M Waffle cone was also thinner than what we are used to Service 0/1* No help offered whatsoever, and when you can't sample, kinda makes things hard Cleanliness 1/1* Spotless Overall/Revisit 1/1* Would visit again just for that macadamia flavour Paying for ambience? -1/-1* YES Above and beyond? 0/+1* NO

Michelin star ice cream place, kinda weird. They allow you try all flavors and I didn't find any of them that good. The one that looked the most safe was the lychee raspberry and it was just 'okay'. The dark chocolate one was way too dense, the basil and the other lemongrass were just to weird. Don't think I will be returning.

I came because I was in the area and my friend said I just HAD to try it so there I was. In this crazy 20 minute line - for ice cream. If I was just passing through I certainly would not be in that line which was long but moved relatively quickly. The shop is super small but very cute and space efficient - I also liked that it smelled like those Thyme Waffle Cones! I loved the flavors offered, I tried so many of them because all of them sounded so good. In the end I went with the Strawberry Basil which was really delicious and everything I hoped it would be - creamy without being rich, fragrant from the basil, slightly sweet/sour from the strawberry... Yum. I also really liked the other ones I tried like the Pandan (super floral and almost like vanilla!) and White Chrysanthemum. I would not be opposed to having some of that if I don't have to join the line again. When I left, the line had gotten even longer which is just ...crazy.

One of the better ice cream places in Singapore amidst the plethora of ones that keep opening up every other week. They are located in the Katong area, which has a pretty high standard food offerings wise. It is slightly premium pricing, but the flavors are inventive and worth the money.

Overpriced good ice cream! Lots of rave about this place and just had to give it a go. As soon as you step in you can quickly smell the thyme waffle cone. Unique and delicious. Now the ice cream itself. Various flavors which they gladly let you try out. I don't know the exact name of the flavor I got, but basic concept = chocolate haha. You'd think ice cream is ice cream, nope. I don't know why this chocolate was good but it was. Add on the thyme waffle and it's good, really good. Definitely enjoyed, pricey yes, but did enjoy!

Oh boy, another place that can just take all my money. I love a good ice cream shop, and I really hope that one day Birds of Paradise decides to take flight across the ocean and to San Francisco. The rosemary cone alone is so unique and delicious. The White Chrysanthemum was a very mild and light gelato, whereas the Strawberry Basil had much more deeper flavors! I would love to have tried more but the queue was long and holding up the line anymore seemed like a bad idea. I have already recommended this place to a few other friends who are visiting Singapore!

Definitely check out Birds Of Paradise for amazing, flavourful, creamy ice cream!!! Highly recommend their lychee and raspberry flavour!!!! It's so so refreshing and definitely a unique flavour!!!!!! They also have other delicious flavours like pistachio and lemongrass!!!!! The waffle cone that they give you the ice cream in is so fresh that you can see them making it in store!!!! This place is a definite must try!!!!! Make sure you get there early though because there are always massive lines outside the store!!!

Honestly only tried this place cos of the michelin star. But also why does an ice cream store have a michelin star?

Strawberry basil - 5 stars My favourite! It tasted like Haagen-Dazs strawberry with basil. The flavours were fresh and delicious. Gianduja - 4.5 stars Like eating frozen Nutella but better. Pandan - 4.5 stars Tasted like kueh. Sea salt houjicha - 4 stars My least favorite only because I felt the salt was unnecessary. It was too salty for me. Three of us shared two double scoops and we wished we'd each gotten our own!

Came at a random time on a weekday afternoon and did not encounter any lines :). I went with a 2-scoop cup of mango and strawberry basil. I was pleasantly surprised at how big the scoops were! Can never complain about having too much though as it was absolutely delicious. It's a bit pricey but worth the splurge every now and then for some creamy goodness!

Pretty good ice cream, but it was very expensive! Some interesting flavors, though I felt that most were very mild. About $5 per scoop, and the scoops are quite small! Lemongrass-Ginger: strongest flavor. Pretty good! Spiced Pear: Good. Vanilla Fig: The fig bits were good, but the flavor was mostly vanilla. White Chrysanthemum: very very mild flavor. The cocoa bits were very distracting and I don't think it meshed well with the very delicate flavor of white chrysanthemum.

Pricey organic gelato matched with a crunchy cone rolled in-house. On a hot day, gelato is always very enticing. The colorful sign lured me in. I had two scoops; one pandan flavor and one spiced pear. The flavors were generally subtle, almost muted but definitely freshly made. There were other flavors such as strawberry, lychee and chrysanthemum. I also sampled the basil flavored gelato, but it tasted um, closer to soap so I passed. The unique thing is the fragrant, freshly rolled "thyme cone" that costs an extra $1. This store is located along East Coast Road next to the former Red House Bakery (Katong Bakery & Confectionery). The row is newly remodeled and part of the same bunch of buildings as the red house, and this particular gelato place is two months old. There are a number of ice cream parlors along the stretch but this store is one of the better ones. Overall, it's ok to check out the flavors at this place, but do expect to part with a few more dollars. It's S$4.70 for a single scoop, S$7.70 for a double scoop and $1 for the cone.

Found this little cute gem while I was strolling around Joo Chiat/Katong area. It was a hot humid day and I was intrigued by the cute decor of this shop. I decided to check it out and tried all the flavors available before purchasing because I'm indecisive like that. I chose lemongrass ginger eventually as it's the one that stood out for my palate at that time and every time I go to the east area I'll make sure I get a cup of the same flavor. The gelato's texture is so smooth, not too sweet, so delicious, so natural and lives up to its tagline "botanical" so I'm impressed on that!!!! They also have special limited edition seasonal flavor occasionally. I'll keep coming back!

I went there twice during my visit in Singapore Amazing! These guys are in the MICHELIN plate list. I am in love with them. Too bad I live so far.

Ice cream and gelato shops are abundant in Singapore, but BoP is very successful in differentiating itself from the rest by serving floral ice cream (for example chrysanthemum) and thyme infused cones at a competitive price point. The ice cream is top notch with no ice crystals or inconsistency found.

Perfectly balanced gelato flavors, and not too sweet. I got white chrysanthemum with cacao bits. This was wonderful, because the gentle herblike sweetness of the chrysanthemum balanced out the slight bitterness and chocolate aroma of the cacao bits. The other flavors that were available were pandan, spiced pear, mango, pistachio, hazelnut. Highly recommend it! For the quality of the ice cream, the price was definitely worth it!!
