Yelp
Came here both due to geographical convenience to our hotel and some stellar reviews. While it wasn't a bad place, it definitely was a bit of a letdown.
Our dinner wasn't especially bad; the problem is, it wasn't especially good. I had the meat lasagna - it was actually pretty tasty. Meaty, flavorful, it was a good entrée. Nothing to write home about, but nothing about which to complain, either. My wife got the spinach ravioli - it definitely sounded better than it tasted. What it came down to was that it was just bland. The ravioli was largely tasteless. So while it didn't offend the taste buds, it didn't really impress them, either.
Service was friendly but clumsy. After a fairly long wait, the waiter took our order. Maybe 15 minutes later, when we were starting to wonder why we hadn't at least gotten our drinks yet, he came back to ask again what we had ordered, because he'd lost the paper. What? I can certainly handle a longer wait because it's a busy night, but waiting 15 minutes to tell us not only have you not entered our order, you don't know what it was? That's really not ok. Also, in the time after we placed our order, we saw another table seated, had their order taken, and their food arrive - all before our waiter even returned to tell us he didn't know what we'd ordered. Sure, he cracked some jokes here and there and was definitely acceptable on the personality front, at least, but service wasn't great.
Maybe we should have gotten the pizza, as other reviews recommended. Maybe we should have come another time and experienced a different kind of service. Ultimately, we weren't impressed with our experienced here, and wouldn't really recommend it, unless you're next door and don't have better options.
