Google
Birraria La Corte delivered on an amazing pizza experience! We tried the prosciutto and burrata, and the mozzarella and honey pizzas – both were absolutely divine and incredibly flavorful. The pirate theme added a fun touch to the atmosphere. Desserts were just average (our pavlova was mostly ice cream with a tiny piece of meringue), but the pizzas alone make this a must-visit!

Google
Best food we had in Venice hands down! Made a reservation so there was no wait and the food was fantastic. Possibly the best pizza we had our whole Italy trip?? 10/10 recommend! Tiramisu was fabulous as well!

Ralitsa Grebenarova

Google
I definitely think it's a bit overpriced, and you can have a much better meal at another restaurant for the same price. The food was okay, and the service was great. I'm a big fan of tiramisu, but this was the most disappointing one I've had in Venice. Unfortunately, there was barely a teaspoon of biscuit, and the rest was just mascarpone.

Google
Exceptional food and a truly memorable experience! A special thanks to Enissa for her outstanding service! she made our evening extra special. Without a doubt, one of the best dining spots in Venice!

Google
Made a reservation and arrived right when they opened, so there was only a few minute wait before getting seated. We enjoyed a pizza each and brought home leftovers. The restaurant is a good size and is able to accommodate families and large groups.

Google
Really great place… can’t go wrong with this one! Has three different ambiances (indoor restaurant, patio, outdoor). Creative pizza combinations plus terrific appetizers and other dishes.

Google
Absolutely amazing spot for a meal. The staff were super friendly and lots of choice for food. We had the bravas for starters which was generous portions and the Pizzas for main which were delicious.

Google
Food is delicious, especially the tagliatelle with duck. The home made bread is also so crunchy and tasty. I recommend seating in the garden.

Yelp
Yummy delicious dinner. I ordered the spaghettoni & the hubby ordered the ribeye. The house wine was amazing, I highly recommend the wine with your meal. We didn't have a reservation so we had to wait a little bit which was fine it was about a 5 min wait to get a table. The waiters were nice and accommodating. Our dinner was a little pricey but worth it.

Elena P.

Yelp
Horrible hostess guy. They made us wait at the bar, saying that there are no tables outside. While plenty of tables started to free up we were still sitting at the bar for more than 30 mins. When we finally asked they sit us outside and more than half of table were free.

Yelp
Visiting Venice? Eat here!! It's worth the walk away from the touristy areas of Venice. Less expensive, delicious food, friendly service. I found out about this place from my cousin who lives in the suburbs of Venice and would often take family/friends to Venice. She's been to the city countless times and knows this is a delicious spot you can count on.

Yelp
We were strolling the streets and came upon this restaurant. It's location is fabulous. Tucked away from the crowds. They have outdoor as well as a beautiful ac space inside. We had the burrata appetizer, clam spaghetti and the tartare. Each of us has a delicious cocktail and a chocolate dessert. Quality was great with fresh ingredients. Our servers were also hospitable and checked on us often.

Yelp
Delizioso! Wow! Everything is so good! We had the 64 degree egg with black truffle white @ green asparagus, risotto with peas and bissa pizze (burrata cream, green asparagus, sea bass ham & homemade egg botarga). All delicious! Yummy! Staff, ambience and music nice too

Yelp
Overrated. We had the fish of the day. It came out cold. We sent it back and a few seconds later, the waiter returned. I guess they microwaved it for 30 seconds. The service was poor along with the waiter's attitude. Save your money and go someplace else.

Yelp
After navigating north from San Marco, very nice journey to la birraria. Very intimate garden, even though we just came for drinks and an appritivo, George took great care of us. Spoke English well, recommended local beers to try.

Yelp

Yelp
Food is good. The service is okay, not as attentive as other places. It gets busy quickly.

Yelp
Food was best I had in Venice for half the price. The service was good and the ambiance is peaceful.

Yelp
Fantastic tiramisu Horrible service Didn't get to try food because the service was that bad. After sitting for 15 mins, I had to walk to the bar to ask for service. Hopefully someone else has a better experience

Yelp
The restaurant is located in the Campo San Polo square. If you are coming from the main street with all the shopping, you'll find this pizzeria place located on the other side of the courtyard. If you are looking for some cheap eats, this is the place to go. Over 20 different pizzas to choose from ranging from €6.50 to €13. Before you sit, you have to know there is a 2.50 cover charge per person. A cover charge isn't uncommon in Venice, but 2.50 does seem to be a bit more than usual. The cheap prices and portions of the pizza definitely make up for the cover charge. One thing I learned about eating in Venice is that complimentary water doesn't exist, you have to buy it by the bottle. I ordered the Lavraneri pizza, which contains tomato, mozzarella, gorgonzola buffalo cheese, and speck. I personally feel the mozzarella cheese and gorgonzola buffalo cheese didn't mix well together, but that might be because I don't really like blue cheese. The speck tastes like prosciutto. Overall the pizza was enormous and definitely worth the €8.50 I spent. I just wish the crust was a little softer. White chocolate, nuts, chocolate sauce, chocolate powder all combined into a ice cream like texture, the semifreddo is delicious! I would highly recommend ordering it. Total bill was €25, not bad for a meal in Venice.

Yelp
My family of five was seated on the terrace at about 7:30pm the terrace was approximately half full. After about 15 minutes we placed our order. Soon afterwards a waiter we had not seen before showed up and proceeded to tell us that our table was reserved. He had no explanation why we were instructed to sit there and insisted we vacate the table. We asked were we should sit and he said inside and walked us to a completely empty room in the back. The person who pointed to the table for us to sit denied he did so, the girl waiting on us was clueless. We left and will never return. Hopefully this review will prompt you to choose another restaurant.

Yelp
Amazing food great service .. Pasta is homemade ..pizza is delicious This little hidden gem in Venice offers amazing food from the homemade pastas and sauces to the pizzas. They offer a fantastic wine selection your seating choices are from inside to courtyard to outdoor patio which where you can people watch the locals and tourist gather , sing play and even walk their dogs The service is fast ( Italy ) style fast. But then again food is fresh to order so every minute was work the wait . I would recommend this place as a must stop and dine

Yelp
The best meal we had in Venice. The restaurant was recommended to us by a local. The warning was the food is good, but the service..not so much. With that in mind we went here for our last meal in Venice. I had prosecco and the gnocchi stuffed with ricotta, and ricotta insalata shavings on top. I would like to go back to Venice just to eat here again. The service was somewhat slow, and English outside of the menu was limited, but it wasn't really that bad. Totally worth it for amazing gnocchi. I went with my husband, and two other friends who all also enjoyed their dinner. My husband had a meat pizza which he loved. Everyone else agreed my gnocchi was the rockstar of dinner though. The restaurant had tourists and locals alike. If you're looking for a cozy sit down dinner in Venice, with really good food, and don't mind a bit of waiting I highly recommend it.

Yelp
This was my favorite in Venice. Our food was delicious and they had a great wine selection. I still dream of that pizza. I need to go back someday.
google avatar

Vlada J.

Yelp
We came here because the other restaurant we really wanted to go to was sold out. But this was an Italian deconstructed dream come true. The made a gnocchi out of mozzarella instead of potato and made a carpaccio out of pineapple. It was amazing in flavour kinda hip. It's casual of corse but feels like your eating pertinent Italian fare. I'm goi g back tomorrow night w my little kids let's see if I still love it the same way. Lol.

Yelp
Service was slow but definitely worth the wait. Food was best we had in Venice over 3 days . Would definitely recommend and come back. Friendly staff , ambiance was perfect .

Yelp
The best Pizza in Venise!!! The price are also correct (much less than other pizzeria). Good idea if you book a place :)

Yelp
I was recommended by Air BNB host and expected very much. I really wanted this restaurant to be decent because I didn't have many chances to dine in Venezia. We ordered Antipasti, ravioli and pizza and were waiting for them over an hour. We got wine and antipasti, but after that, nobody came to us for anything. Our waiter never came back after ordering, after 30-40 min, one asked me about ordering dessert and another one asked us if we ordered(DUH!!!). They explained about this disaster that they had big group preparing inside. ( BUT SMALL GROUPS ARE STARVING TOO!!!) I didn't need to complain because they didn't understand English and I didn't understand their Italian. I didn't want to judge how their food was because food was not warm enough and so on.

Reeti K.

Yelp
Amazingly artistic food packed with tons of flavor. A nice bonus is the restaurant has a beautiful ambience.
google avatar

Elana M.

Yelp
Delicious pizza! My husband made us return a second time for the sea bass ravioli. Loved the ambiance and the warm and friendly service.
google avatar

Alvaro A.

Yelp
The pizza here is doughy, tasty, and filling. A lot of the other pizza places in Venice are on the thinner crust side, but this place closely resembles the pizza served in Florence which is excellent pizza btw. Good beer selection as well.
google avatar

Craig W.

Yelp
Annoying servers. Tried to order at the bar....nope. Tried to sit down... The waiter ignored me for 10 minutes the. Told me I could order but the food starts in 10 minutes. Okay I just want a beer.... Hmm okay well maybe.... Nope. Not wasting my money.

Yelp
the best pizza. simple, light and delicious. I almost don't want to give up this hidden gem, but this spot is cozy, friendly, and very delicious

Tamara S.

Yelp
In summation: the best ricotta gnocchi I have ever eaten along with a nice, fresh IPA in a quiet patio setting with great service. All for a reasonable price. We found this gem on our last night in Venice, otherwise pretty certain we would have eaten here multiple times. Grazie mille!
google avatar

Yelp
I am, at times, amazed that something as simple as pizza and a beer can be so fundamentally moment capturing. I'm not sure of which part of our lunch was so remarkable .... But it was. It was my first sit down food in all of Italy. It was something so simple, yet comforting. Pizza and beer. Maybe it's because our bucket list trip was finally happening. The 17 hours of travelling was behind us. But sitting in that piazza with the sun on my face ..... I think I had the best pizza and beer lunch I have ever had in my life. It was indeed Meraviglioso

Yelp
This place is wonderful! If you don't visit this spot while in Venice you failed. Venice is a really tough city when it comes to dinning. So many awful tourist traps and restaurant employees hassling visitors to dine with them. La Corte has good service (we loved our server David) and delicious pasta, pizza and salads! We ended up eating there twice and would have gone a third time but we forced ourselves to try something new. The wine is great and the prices are low. Great atmosphere as well. Loved the people watching. Last but not least, the Bigolli pasta is deeeelicious!

Joseph D.

Yelp
The best food we had in Venice. It's not a Michelin star or fancy fine dining, but there's still a sophisticated feel that other restaurants in Venice don't possess, as they are tourist traps or a bit too basic. You get all the Italian food you want, but the menu is more creative than spaghetti and meatballs or a margherita pizza. Those options are there, but there's also a good selection of seafood, unique pizzas, and more simple meat dishes. Reasonably priced, efficient, very clean, and the staff are friendly and all know English well. Chic interior, good food, and nice cocktails. Would recommend for anyone looking for a good Italian meal that's a bit more adventurous than your local Pizzeria. Maybe not the best for kids.

Yelp
For some reason, on one of our nights in Venice, we decided we wanted pizza. I found a place that looked good online, but when we arrived it was incredibly small and playing very loud live music. So we had to find a backup plan, and luckily Birraria La Corte was right around the corner. It's a big place (so that was nice), and there was plenty of seating available for us. We decided to have a bottle of Amarone and share a starter of meats and split two pizzas. One pizza was a four cheese pizza and the other had pork and mushrooms. The food was pretty fantastic. The meats to start were some of the best we had in Italy. The pizzas were also really delicious. The service left a bit to be desired though. It was tough finding someone to come to the table. And the bottle of wine we ordered was corked, and the server insisted we wait five minutes just in case. And it was still corked. So we had them open up a second bottle and it was much better. He did apologize for it, but it probably shouldn't have happened. But don't let that discourage you from coming. The food is definitely worth a trip here.

Yelp
This is one of those restaurants that you stumble upon in a square in Venice and think, is it a tourist trap or is it good simply because it's packed and the food looks good from walking by the tables. It was pure goodness and simple Italian dishes with fresh ingredients. We all shared the bruschetta, a pizza (see photo0 and buscatini pasta. Truly--it was all good and there was nothing left on our plates. The waiters dish up the food and that's it--they are busy but efficient and pleasant. A great lunch spot after a lot of walking!!

Yelp
I wish I had more time in Venice, but one of my best meals was here. The pizza was delicious, and the portion generous. A portion of ravioli was tasty. A tartuffo dessert was different than what I have had in NJ, but fine. There was a good selection of beer, as the name would imply, and a fairly good selection of wine by the glass or bottle. The staff were friendly and attentive, with a good command of english. The price was reasonable. The only problem I had, which is not their fault, is that eating outside was less enjoyable than it might have been because the locals were using the square as a dog run and a playground. So, there were lots of barking dogs and some kids screaming at the top of their lungs. That may have been because I was there early. Coming later might have helped, as would eating indoors.

Yelp
After tripping on the uneven cobblestones near Rialto bridge and earning myself a pair of crutches, the restaurant right downstairs from our apartment was appealing even if it didn't have great food. Turns out the food was good. Large pizza selection. Pepperoni was SPICY. Bolognese lasagna was not what I expected but it was good. Typical 2,50€ per person "Italian tax" was charged. Most servers spoke some English but they weren't really pros outside of the menu and questions that come along with it.

Danielle G.

Yelp
Very good pizza, pasta, Wine list, my hubby had a shrimp and pasta dish he liked a lot, too.

Yelp
One of my all-time favorites! On a nice night, a patio table, a pizza, a street musician. I've died and went to heaven. Great service and great food. A great casual place to fall in love w Venice.

Yelp
Came here both due to geographical convenience to our hotel and some stellar reviews. While it wasn't a bad place, it definitely was a bit of a letdown. Our dinner wasn't especially bad; the problem is, it wasn't especially good. I had the meat lasagna - it was actually pretty tasty. Meaty, flavorful, it was a good entrée. Nothing to write home about, but nothing about which to complain, either. My wife got the spinach ravioli - it definitely sounded better than it tasted. What it came down to was that it was just bland. The ravioli was largely tasteless. So while it didn't offend the taste buds, it didn't really impress them, either. Service was friendly but clumsy. After a fairly long wait, the waiter took our order. Maybe 15 minutes later, when we were starting to wonder why we hadn't at least gotten our drinks yet, he came back to ask again what we had ordered, because he'd lost the paper. What? I can certainly handle a longer wait because it's a busy night, but waiting 15 minutes to tell us not only have you not entered our order, you don't know what it was? That's really not ok. Also, in the time after we placed our order, we saw another table seated, had their order taken, and their food arrive - all before our waiter even returned to tell us he didn't know what we'd ordered. Sure, he cracked some jokes here and there and was definitely acceptable on the personality front, at least, but service wasn't great. Maybe we should have gotten the pizza, as other reviews recommended. Maybe we should have come another time and experienced a different kind of service. Ultimately, we weren't impressed with our experienced here, and wouldn't really recommend it, unless you're next door and don't have better options.

Yelp
This was a very enjoyable meal in Venice. The atmosphere is charming, and the service was good. There is a great number of pizzas to select from, as well as various other main meals. We ordered the caprese salad, a mixed green salad, and a salami pizza. Their pizza was quite delicious, as were both salads. Overall we had a great meal and would recommend dining here to anyone in Venice searching for a a great meal without gimmicks.
google avatar

Melanie K.

Yelp
Food was pretty good but the service was really slow. We got sat and waited over 10 minutes for someone to come get us drinks. Once they did acknowledge us things flowed smoothly from there. Reasonably priced.
google avatar

Graham O.

Yelp
Excellent pizza. Perfectly situated on Campo San Polo. Easy to find at one end of the square. We always come here when we're in Venice. Nice to sit outside when it's warm, and there's plenty of space inside when it's cold. Heartily recommended.

Yelp
I have nothing bad to say about the pizza I had here. Had it during my first ever trip to Venice and the menu definitely covered all the bases for me pizzawise. As an American, this pizza was definitely definitely good. As an Italian, I didn't have much to compare it to at the time but I'm not under the impression that it was anything less than 'good pizza'. Keeping it at four stars simply because I felt it was a bit contemporary and commercialized feeling on the inside. Being in Venice, I would have preferred to sit down at a restaurant that matched the surroundings city a bit better, but I felt it had a much younger and more modern feeling setting. That isn't meant to take away from the great design and atmosphere there. By no means ugly or unattractive. It was just a bit misleading at first as I wasn't sure what to expect from the food after a week of eating at smaller more traditional restaurants. Definitely a louder, busier faster paced family type restaurant. If you want a more traditional small place that matches the old world feel of Venice, this isn't the place.

Grayson B.

Yelp
We went here for dinner during one of our three nights in Venice. Overall the experience here was average. The pizza here was great, save for some mild difficulty in cutting out our slices, but the service here was a bit off-putting and cold. I'm not sure if this was because we were tourists and the large majority of the remaining customers were Italian, or perhaps just an unlucky night of service, but it was enough to detract from the quality of the food and leave an unfortunate impression of this place. Our server took a good 15-20 minutes before he took our order, did not pour or ask if we would like water for our table, and we saw him only three times: to take our order, to bring our food, and to come by with the machine to pay after which he slapped our card down on the table and said "thank you" despite our best efforts to communicate with him in Italian and despite my outstretched hand to receive the card back. Probably wouldn't return here despite the food quality :(
google avatar

Kathy N.

Yelp
Davioli pizza, patate fritte, lasagna, baked potatoes, all tasted ok. If you want to do "take away" just order at the bar (the restaurant is split in two, table seating on left side and bar on the right), but they won't have any utensils or plates for you. The people were pretty nice.

J. C.

Yelp
We went here for dinner, as the quiet setting with outdoor seating was appealing. We were not in a rush at all but the service was horrible - to the point I overheard our server asking the manager if she could give us a discount, but he said no. My husband ordered steak, I ordered pizza and they came out 30+ minutes apart. The waitress never came back asking us if we wanted anything else to drink over the 2+ hour meal. The food was ok but the meal was ruined by the horrible service.

Helen K.

Yelp
The name "Birraria" makes one think that one could enjoy a beer here. With only 2 tables occupied out of about 20 outside, I asked if I could be seated and have a beer. I was told (by the manager?) that the outside area was only for dining and that if I wanted to have a beer, I would have to sit inside (alone) in the bar area. I left. It was a warm evening and I wanted to sit outside. I went elsewhere and sat outside and had a refreshing beer. I then headed to dinner and passed by Birraria La Corte and now 4 tables outside were occupied. It's a shame that they didn't want to sell a beer and have some business and perhaps make it more appealing to diners (the more people seen at tables, the more enticing). Unfortunately, Birraria La Corte doesn't understand this concept nor the concept of good business. Too many other places to enjoy in Venice especially considering the poor reviews that Birraria La Corte has regarding service. Skip it!

Yelp
Like others have posted, this place was a good find! We were traveling with our three kids and looking for a place to get great food that was kid-friendly. Everything we ordered was tasty and cooked to perfection, and they actually had a decent selection of regional beers on hand. The bruschetta was especially good. Prices were in the mid-range, €85 for the 6 of us but compared to other restaurants in the area -- reasonable. Recommend highly.

Yelp
We stopped in for a light lunch. The service was very good, incredibly friendly. Our highlights of the meal were the red onion and sausage pizza. It was very tasty. And surprisingly, the carrot and rocket salad. I didn't know the two combined would be as delicious and refreshing as they were! It was worth the walk from San Marco area to Campo San Polo.

Yelp
My favourite restaurant in Venice. Slightly off the beaten track. It has a pizzeria and a normal restaurant. Not over priced which is unusual for Venice. The waiting staff all speak English and are very helpful. Food is really good. Gets very busy with locals at tghe weekend so arrive early or bok a table. Can sit outside in the huge S.Polo square in the summer.
