This was my friend and I’s first time here and Ruby was our server, she was amazing! She was attentive to our table and helped us decide what to get. Would love to come back soon ❤️

I've been living in FL for about 4 years as a professional chef, and I can tell you with educated certainty that this is one of the best meals you will have here without a doubt. The margaritas were spectacular, the chips and salsa were perfect, but the birria chimmichanga stole the show. I would give this place a higher rating if I could.

Google
Stopped in for a margaritas right before closing. The service was top notch, the aromas were amazing. Wish I could have ate. Nonetheless, had a tasty margaritas made fresh to my liking. Will definitely be returning for them tacos. 😋

Google
Colorful and friendly restaurant with great service! Our food was brought out fast and every Thing was delicious! From the fresh guacamole, carne asada bowl, carne asada fajitas and chicken chimichanga. The churros were the best dessert, filled with crema and we almost didn’t need to use the Nutella or dulce de leche. Highly recommend! We will be back.

Google
I Had an amazing experience. Victoria was outstanding!!! Very friendly, attentive, and welcoming. I tried the Birria Ramen, and it was absolutely delicious, full of rich flavors and perfectly balanced. I also had the Asada Steak Taco, and the freshness of the corn tortilla really stood out. Every bite was packed with authentic, mouthwatering flavors. Highly recommend this spot, and I’ll definitely be back for more.

Google
The food was great, don’t get me wrong, every time I eat here the food is always good but the pricing I kind of disagree with based on portion size. The bowl was $19 plus $1 for pico. When I go to chipotle I get a bowl bigger than this filled above the brim for like $13 max.

Best Mexican spot in downtown Orlando!!! Our server Juan answered our questions in a rap song & gave us an excellent service!!! We ordered the Chilean sandwiches and the pastries are to die for. Highly recommend 😄

Google
The food was extremely well prepared. It was delicious to the last bite. The Berea bowl was full of flavor and filling. The burrito tacos are as good as I’ve ever had. The tostanos were delicious. is a great spot to grab a bite before a concert at the Kia Center

Yelp
Amazing food Went here at halftime of the Orlando Magic game. We left early because the game was trash, but the birria quesadilla wasn't . Next time I'm tempted to attend a Magic game, I will skip the game, eat here and save myself a couple hundred bucks.

Yelp
I wish I could give zero stars. This was one of the most unprofessional, disrespectful dining experiences I've ever had. I came here with one friend and sat at the bar. We ended up chatting with a couple of other patrons also sitting nearby--just friendly, casual conversation. Apparently, talking to other humans now qualifies as a "group," because the restaurant automatically added a group service fee and auto-gratuity to our individual checks without telling us. We admittedly didn't scrutinize the itemized receipt until after we paid, but once we noticed, we asked to speak to a manager to clarify the charges. That's when things went from bad to worse. The manager yelled at us, accused us of being "drunks" (we each had one margarita with dinner), and refused to remove the charges--saying we were "clearly a group" because we were talking to people. Excuse me? Since when is being friendly at a bar grounds for financial penalty? She was rude, condescending, and flat-out refused to correct their sketchy billing. I had to go through my bank to dispute the charge--and thankfully, they sided with me and reversed it due to the restaurant's fraudulent behavior. Bottom line: This place is shady. They're banking on people not checking their bills and have zero integrity when confronted. Save yourself the trouble--don't patronize this establishment. They're dishonest, disrespectful, and clearly have no clue how to treat customers.

Yelp
Was a good last-minute spot we were looking for something to eat after participating in an improv show across the street. There is outdoor seating as well and the decor inside gave an upscale Mexican cantina vibe. The service was extremely slow, but the food was really good so if you're in the area, I do recommend you try it if you have time to spare.

Yelp
Ok, so this is a great place to grab a bite to eat. The only thing I'm not to crazy about is the parking situation. That usually turns me off when it comes to visiting places in downtown. You either have to pay to park or play the waiting game. But anyways that's not the point. The point here is that it's a great place with scrumptious food. You can't go wrong with this one. No wonder I've heard many great things about this place! We had to wait a few minutes to be seated. But it wasn't too long of a wait. They served us some chips and dip! Simple but delicious! I really wanted to try the birria ramen but it was way too hot outdoors that I really just preferred having something that wasn't going to keep me hot. So I ordered the birria tacos instead with the passionfruit mojito. My husband asked for the birria churrasco. It was definitely hard to decide though because man oh man everything on the menu looked amazing. And seeing all the food around us that was being served and the smells of all the foods passing our table was almost unbearable to stand. Our mouth was watering like a baby drooling and a little fussy because the hunger overload kicked in. Once our food arrived we dug in and oh boy! Was it the best and exactly what we needed and it hit the spot just right! Nice and hot! Made fresh and ready to devour! One of the best authentic Mexican food here in Orlando. Glad we were able to experience it!

Yelp
So this is a really cute little spot right next to the Kia Center. Too bad the service really is not that good. I'm solo and it's really not that busy here there's only 7 occupied tables and after several minutes no waitress came. I kindly asked Mr. Jeff Lopez take my order. He was kind enough to assist me. I made a request to expedite my order because I had to leave and he accommodated. I was a little perturbed that I had to request the chips and salsa that was freely given to other people at their tables if it had not been for Jeff, I would not have given it the stars that I did. The salsa by the way was just OK. I had a little aftertaste that I did not like, the chips that were really tasty. I love the presentation and my tostones deluxe was delicious very filling. The tostones were a little too hard though, but I enjoyed it anyway. The fusion of Caribbean fried plantain mixed with Mexican Birria was genius The churros had a cream filling that is super yummy. Well, I'm a huge fan of chocolate. I actually preferred it without it. Overwhelmed I'm glad that I came I left with my tummy feeling happy happy

Yelp
Fun place to have dinner before the magic game. Walking distance to the game and just done the elevator from the parking structure. Birria soup was really good and the salad was super tasty! Tostones were full of flavor and well cooked! ask for the Chilean menu for other options. The empanada was huge and also tasty! Salsa was also very good and served in clay pots. Bar area was nice with live plants and cute signs around the restaurant making for a nice ambience. Service was fast since we were on our way to the game! We saw other tables with burritos and they looked huge. Definitely a good pregame Spot!

Yelp
Terrible experience. Except for the mural paintings, there's nothing else that's nice about this place. The dinning area has dirty floors and is not well maintained. The bar stools are uncomfortable, and half don't match the others. The bar top was dirty, and the area behind the bar is crowded with a large stack of dishwasher glass-racks, a big bulky-looking dishwasher, and a bunch of other large items. The bartender attended us with a bad attitude after we asked them to please wipe the counter in front of us. We ordered one of their signature cocktails, but they couldn't make it because they were missing one of the ingredients (prosecco... like what bar runs out of sparkling wine on Saturday?!!). Since they specialize in Margaritas, we also ordered their "top shelf" margarita, which they served in a rocks glass without a rim! When we were ready to pay, the bartender asked us to just give him our credit card number so he could enter it in their pos system... we just laughed and asked him to bring us the itemized check with the pos, and we paid with Apple Pay to avoid what seemed like something strange. I won't be back and I don't recommend this place at all to anyone!

Yelp
An interesting place for sure ! Their menu is extensive and the food was relatively good! I am looking forward to going back to try more of their menu. We had the Tostones Deluxe with chicken and the sizes were decent for the 14 dollars . The bartender was really nice but I don't think spoke much English and was checking himself out on his phone most the time lol. The vibe of the place was okay, I think I was looking for something not so fast casual for the price. I was hoping for something authentic Mexican but this felt a little commercialized which is okay, but it just felt like a fast food restaurant.

Yelp
Absolutely shameful !!! See the picture of what was ordered vs what was delivered....for $18. This is the second and last time messing up my order. The flavors have also greatly declined. Note: the picture of the birria is from months ago because I wanted to give them a second try but today's snack sized portion and missing the edible shell is the final straw.

Yelp
First the place was pretty dead, service was not the best. Did not really check on us at all, had to wait a while to get boxes and check. We had Bria ramen the cilantro was good but overall was lacking a lot of flavor, which is surprising since it is a Bria place, The TikTok wrap we also got Bria also it was lacking flavor, almost dry. I will say both dishes had a lot of meat and good portion size for price. The salsa and chips were very delicious, this had good flavor and seasoning. Skeptical to come again, since we had such poor service, people even came in but no one was there to greet them so they left.

Yelp
The Birria was OKAY. My favorite is still from the Pass Progressive Kitchen in Altamonte. It needed more flavor. I did try my friends dish and it was way better but hers was seafood. I figured with the Birria in the name that would taste the best. Service was great and I loved how the place was decorated. Well priced for lunch too!
google avatar

Ki L.

Yelp
The place is cute, the service is okay, and the food is okay. The Birria could have had a bit more flavor so that it wasn't bland. I ordered the Birria ramen and they didn't have any chopsticks. They. Sold. Ramen. Without. A. Pair. Of. Chopsticks. In. Sight. I hope you'll excuse me while I'm still trying to get over it. Also, the "ramen" had instant noodles and minimum garnishments. It would have been better if they included the same garnishments that come with the Birria quesadilla so that it had more veggies (currently only had onions and a few pieces of avocado). So it was like eating a bowl of Maruchan instant noodles with a pound of beef and a minimum amount of broth. The birria quesadillas were better and came with plenty of dressings.

Yelp
After reading so many great reviews, glad to finally check it out for myself. Chips & Salsa brought to the table quickly, and we're enjoyed by all, tasted fresh! I ordered the bowl with chicken, and it was delicious! Would definitely go back, my friend ordered burrito and it looked great.

Yelp
The food is served and prepared very uniquely and all was delicious Best food walking distance from the Amway Arena, will go back for sure. The decor is very trendy and fun. The service is good and fast ‍ I can't wait to go back and try a different drink

Yelp
Had Birria1983 for the first time by the owners at the Tacos and tequila last year and had been looking forward to coming to the restaurant. I had save it specifically to come before a Kia Center event being that parking is a bit complicated around this area. Came here on a Saturday late afternoon with a couple of friends. The service was very prompt and courteous. Our server was able to get us in and out of there fairly quickly. The menu is broken down by place and by protein choice which gives the us as the customer a lot of flexibility. The pricing was what caught my eye. It was a bit on the higher side, but what made up for it was the the portions very daily ample. The guacamole and queso dip were fresh and made from real ingredients which we gotta appreciate now a days. I ordered the birria bowl and it was massive!! However I'd appreciate a smaller portion in exchange tastier flavor. I feel like the birria was bland and on the drier side and lacked consomé. My friend who ordered the tacos seem to enjoy them, however she complained that the tortillas fell apart mid taco for all of them making it difficult to eat as a handheld. We will probably be back once the bar opens to give it another try.

Yelp
Wow! Birria 1983 is en excellent new addition to downtown Orlando, luckily we went at an off-hour and it was quick and easy to get a table. The service was nice and everyone was friendly while we looked at the rather large, unexpectedly, menu. Of course, they began us with chips and salsa, which is always a nice touch. The chips came warm and the salsa wasn't super spicy but still had a great flavor. I was absolutely in love with the birria tacos, the flavor was perfect and they didn't completely fall apart as soon as I tried to eat them. For being tacos, they were also very filling, I definitely didn't need anything else to feel like I had a complete meal. The TIk Tok burrito, on the other hand, was massive - we weren't expecting it to be so large. it, too, had great flavor, but had a lot more things going on - the simple tacos were excellent and didn't need all of the extras that the burrito had. Overall, awesome choice, definitely a place on our return list.

Yelp
Started with a margarita that was made well. The vibe was nice with good music and Mexican aesthetic . The Mexican street corn was just ok did not have much flavor. The chicken quesadilla was really good. Great location and close to the Kia center.

Yelp
We were here right when it opened on a Saturday so we were seated quickly. I got the birria tacos with beans and rice. The beans and rice were flavorful. 10/10. The birria tacos were good but not the best I've had. The meat was a tiny bit dry but you get consomé on the side. I would give it a 6/10. I still enjoyed the meal. We also got chips and salsa on the side. The salsa came in a little plant pot which I thought was cute. Our server was pretty young. He took a while to check on us. I felt like we were waiting for a while to get the check to get out of there. He seemed like he didn't really care to be there which I understand because he seemed so young and probably wanted to not work but he kind of killed the vibe of us wanting to be there.

Yelp
Item(s) ordered: Mushroom tacos, Birria quesadilla, elote, brownie Vibe: This place is SO cute. Perfect for a casual lunch or even if you're feeling like dressing up. The decor is colorful and Mexican-inspired. The staff are really nice, and the fact that it's a family-run business is the best. The Review: It was the middle of the day on a weekday and even though most of the restaurants were empty, Birria really didn't feel like it. It was a lively place with incredibly kind servers. When the food came out, we were impressed by the rich flavors and nice portion sizes. I'd definitely recommend the mushroom tacos and the Birria quesadilla (those who ate it were in love with it). They're getting their liquor license soon, so it will be even better very soon! Thank you, Birria1983!

Yelp
Holy hell. This place couldn't have been worse if they actively tried to. We arrived at 4:45 wanting a bite to eat before the Nate Bargatze show. There was a wait. No big deal we were happy to wait. 5:15 we sit down. No server or anything for about 15 minutes. We finally get someone's attention and he acted like she wasn't our server but would help us out and we ordered drinks and our meals. About 10 minutes later my husband received a drink, not what he ordered but we decided to roll with it and about 10 minutes later I got my drink. We finished our drinks. Still no silverware or waters or literally any sign of our server. We find someone to ask about our order. At this point we've been seated for an hour and we ordered 45 minutes ago. They said they would check in our order which was clearly never put into the computer but we never saw this person again. We wait about half an hour longer and decide that we really need to leave. We try to ask for the bill to pay for the drinks we had but the server literally turned and started talking to another table as we were asking. I have literally never had a worse experience at a restaurant. So we left. We arrived at the Kia Center just in time for the show but starving because we never ate any dinner even though we arrived at this ridiculous restaurant at 4:45. Do yourself a favor and do not go here.

Yelp
While at face looks as a full nice Mexican restaurant conveniently located in the heart of downtown Orlando, Church street it also has a few staples of the Chilean cuisine under a second formal Menu , great pisco sour and piscola to star, very good sopaipillas con pebre to go with drinks , we had Empanadas de queso frita ( good size and cheese taste ) and Empanadas de pino , We ordered Chacarero y Churrasco Italiano , both in excellent bread , large size , generous serving of sliced meats and the corresponding condiments that give the name to the sandwich ( including very nice aji verde ) . Attentive service from Gabriel, a vinamarino , that knows well the good Chilean food and brought as some ice cold Toro Bayos to go along the sandwiches . If you are itching for Chilean flavors while in Orlando now you have an option !

Yelp
Just opened today off of Church Street, and this Mexican bar + grill is gorgeous and delicious. You can find all of the classics with a ton of options for tacos, birria ramen, quesadillas, burritos, and of course...tacos! The most notable is their Shareable Menu with a 12-tortilla taco board & 14 inch Mexican pizza. As for the bar -- they are still waiting on their liquor license hence the Soft Opening!! So have some patience, grand opening AND alcohol coming soon 54 west church Suite 141 Orlando, Florida

Yelp
Stopped in for lunch and the place is a vibe. Sat at the bar because I was solo and the waiter/bartender (Luciano) told me all I need to know about the menu and deals. The Taco Burger was amazing and everything else was fresh. Definitely going to return at night because I know the atmosphere will be great.

Yelp
Was there before the magics game. It's within walking distance to the arena. They have a Peruvian or Chilean menu if you ask for it.

Yelp
Great food at a great price with friendly staff and a fun atmosphere! The restaurant was busy when I went and immediately I understood why. The staff was very welcoming and attentive. The food was very good after a long night at a concert at the Kia Center. It will definitely be my after-concert spot from now on!

Yelp
I really like the look of this restaurant, very spacious and love all the plants and the decor in general. We have been here several times for lunch and the experience is always good, as is the food. My go-to is the shrimp rice and beans bowl, the great food coupled with great service and a nicely decorated restaurant adds to the great experience.

Yelp
Birria is a brand new restaurant! The inside was so nice! I loved all the decorations. I was surprised by how empty it was but maybe because they don't have their liquor license yet? Currently for drinks they have mocktails. I ordered the taco salad with shrimp. It was excellent!!! We also ordered guacamole for the table. I was disappointed for the price that it was barely any guacamole. I definitely would not order that again that again. The staff were attentive and friendly. I would be excited to go back once they have alcohol on the menu.

Yelp
I've had Birria1983 on more than one occasion at festivals and LOVED the Birria tacos so I was very excited to check out their brick and mortar location. It's decorated beautifully inside, they did a great job! It wasn't very busy, I hope they get more business soon! One thing to note, they do not have their liquor license yet so no booze! I went on my birthday expecting to get a margarita and was disappointed that wouldn't happen. We were seated and given chips and salsa, the salsa was a little more peppery than I'd prefer but it was still good. Our server was very friendly and attentive, checking on us often. I ended up ordering a birria burrito and my sister got a quesadilla. Our food came out within a reasonable time, I was a little surprised that my sisters quesadilla looked to be larger portion of food than my burrito, it's usually the opposite. Since I got the birria burrito I was expecting it to come with consomme? Maybe i'm incorrect on the proper serving of birria but it was my experience in the past that if you got birria you got consomme as well. My burrito was good, the lettuce got a little weird and wilted since the other ingredients were hot. Maybe a different type of lettuce would stand up better against the hot items. I was able to finish the entire burrito which tells you it wasn't that big, it was also $23 and came with no sides which is probably the most expensive burrito I've ever purchased in my life. I know some of you will say "it was more expensive because you got birria" but the other protein options were only a dollar or two less than the birria. Overall, our food was good and it's a beautiful place. Maybe i'll check it out again when they have liquor.

Yelp
I had the best chicken quesadillas ever last night at Birria1983. My husband really enjoyed the carne asada quesadillas as well. The food images on yelp do not do this place justice. I wish I had taken some on my own. This is a very convenient location, especially if you are headed to a soccer game at Inter&Co Stadium or an event at the KIA center. The staff were friendly and fast enough so we could get to the game on time, but not too fast to make us feel rushed. If it's cold (yes...that does happen in Florida) ask for a table away from the windows to stay more warm. Enjoy their hospitality....it's so worth it!

Yelp
Beautiful day: we are outside. I recommend the mushroom tacos. Yummy. Served with black beans and rice. Friend ordered a Burris ramen. He said it was too intense. But ate it anyway It Faces the stairs and front if 55W. With nice palms and plants. We had wine. Not a huge wine list. I recommend though.

Yelp
Visiting from LA here and I gotta say Birria did not disappoint! Bomb micheladas and delicious birria!

Yelp
I saw this cute spot that took over graffiti junction. We did go before they were able to receive their liquor license. The food was definitely an upgrade from gringos locos. The service was a bit slow but the food was pretty decent and does the trick for a late evening on a Sunday. The portion size was Al's pretty big.

Rosemary D.

Yelp
Sorry- not sorry. The worst customer service I have experienced in quite a while. Server ignored us for a good 10 minutes and then proceeded to wait on a table that came in after us. When I did flag him down, he acted like he was doing us a favor by taking our order. If it wasn't raining and we weren't heading to the Kia Center, I would have walked out. The food was ok, a bit over priced. Nothing to go out of my way to experience again. When the longest time the server stands at your table is to see how much of a tip he's getting, your restaurant has a customer service problem. Won't be back.

Yelp
Last night i ordered From this establishment at 8:48 pm (order is shown below), i was already skeptical about the pricing because its seems outrageous for just 2 tacos and some churros! In addition to that, the service was awful, my order was quoted to be ready at 9:03. I didn't receive my order until 5 after 10:00. I've asked multiple times for when i would get my food only to be told "idk" or "oh it's ready!!, we're just packing it now" but when i asked again at 9:50 i was told "oh they just started preparing it" WHAT!?!? Nothing was done to rectify the situation, and the portion of rice and beans was laughable at best. Other than that, the tacos were good if that counts for something‍

Yelp
Great Mexican food. Also starting to offer Chilean dishes. We had a taco salad, empanadas and the Chilean steak sandwich (close cousin to the Philly cheesesteak). All great!
google avatar

Yulisa S.

Yelp
Amazing hand painted walls with beautiful decor around. The service was excellent, and we were seated right away. The food is very good as well, I've had chimichangas before, and this one came with a twist. Usually, other restaurants pour the sauce on top. Here, they give you the sauce in tin cups so you can pour as much as you want. They do not have their liquor license yet. Therefore, they only offer non alcoholic drinks. You are right on Church St. which have plenty of places for a drink if that is what you are looking for. Prices are reasonable, I would come come to try other menu items .

Yelp
This is place is right next to the Suntrust garage and so made for a convenient meal before going to the Kia Center for a concert. Came on a Friday night and it was quite empty. There was indoor and outdoor seating and the decor inside was cute. Worried that maybe the place wasn't good due to its lack of clientele but the staff was ethnic so that gave us some hope. The prices are a little high but maybe that's just what downtown is like. They bring you chips and salsa to start with the salsa coming in a little flowerpot-like container which was cute. We ordered the birria rice bowl by accident, meaning to order the birria bowl (really unfortunate that the names are so similar and right next to each other on the menu). The rice bowl is literally just rice, birria and a LOT of queso. Like a soup almost. The birria isn't bad but I'm sure I've had better. The queso was very creamy/cheesy but almost too much so. As I said, we intended to order the bowl which comes with corn, avocado, lettuce, tomatoes and beans so we asked if we could get those added on. They told us that there's a $2 price difference between the rice bowl and the bowl that we'd have to pay, to which we agreed. They brought out the extra toppings and after we started adding it into our pre-existing bowl, told us that we have to pay for the extras as a side instead. This meant that instead of an extra $2, we paid $10. Of course, it was our fault for initially ordering the wrong item but we really would've appreciated if we were told how much the actual upcharge was before we were given it as thats 5x the amount we agreed to. Flavor-wise, the bowl with the toppings was definitely better and much needed to balance out the soup of queso they give in the original rice bowl. The portion was decently large, my girlfriend and I shared the one bowl and were able to still have enough for leftovers after eating enough to be quite full. Birria rice bowl - 5/10 Birria (diy) bowl -7/10

Yelp
My 2nd time here. Great place to unwind and have lunch. I ordered their Sopa Azteca. My waitress's name is Francisca. Was greeted warmly, superb customer service as well! The cleanliness of the restaurant was superb, the staff were very attentive, Francisca was very knowledgeable of the menu as well! The soup was delicious, flavorful, with the right amount of spice and herbs! I highly recommend this dish and for anyone to come eat here!

Came here before a concert for some drinks and a shared appetizer - it was 2 hours before doors, so not very busy, but fully staffed. Walked in and was not acknowledged by anyone, even the girl who seemed to be serving as host (although she was wiping and half-assed setting tables). After 10 mins, she finally had a clean table and just waved us over and put menus down without saying a word. I was confused because all I got was a food menu and mocktail list. My partner got the bar menu and a different food menu (so total 4 different menus for our table). After another 5 mins, our server came over and asked if we'd been helped, no greeting, nothing. We gestured to our empty table (no plates, silverware, water cups, like other tables had) and told him no. He came back with a bottle of water and then took our orders. Another five mins, he came back with glasses for our water. Another five mins, he came back with chips, salsa, and our queso we ordered. Five minutes later, he got app plates and cutlery. We finished the chips and dips after about 15-20 mins and he came back and asked if we wanted more chips. I said sure and asked him to check on my margarita (there were 3 rather chatty people working the bar, so no excuse for a place that seats 70ish people max). We got a second basket of chips and were told my drink would be out any second. We watched another table complain (to a lady not in any distinguishable uniform like the rest of the staff) that they had finished their appetizer and food and still not gotten their drinks. She went to the bar and they had drinks in under 5 mins. We thought about doing the same but the lady disappeared into the back. Two tables of 3 and 4 that were seated after us got their drinks and we were still waiting, so I decided to put a clock on it and say that if I didn't have my drink by 6:02pm (I ordered it at 5:02pm), I would ask them to cancel it. After all, doors open at 6pm and the clouds threatened heavy rains that I didn't want to be caught in. It took a few minutes to be able to flag down our waiter and cancel the drink, but they two tables next to us that got entrees and drinks or drinks and paid before we were even brought our check. SO disappointing. I would rate zero stars if I could. For a business in an area that is only kept alive by concert-goers, you would think they could operate more efficiently.

Yelp
I have had Birria1983 a few times now. I love the Birria quesadilla and burrito. I do wish the tortilla was a little thicker, because the Birria has so much flavor that it seeps through the tortilla and can get somewhat soggy. The taste is fantastic, it just gets pretty messy. Service is always quick and the place is great for a downtown meal or late night eats.

Yelp
Wow what a place. It's a nice Latin restaurant. Such a pretty spot on church street. My friend and I decided to go and we were greeted right away. Our server was nice and answered any questions we had. They are mostly know for their birria tacos but I tried their shrimp tacos and their side salad. Their salad is so fresh. It has guacamole, tomato, onion, and lettuce. The shrimp tacos were five dollars each, and it had cilantro with onion. It was also very flavorful. I would recommend this spot as a nice place to hang out or celebrate a birthday.

Yelp
The La Toxica was great! The salsa tasted good also. We loved the ambiance and deco! Minsky our bartender was so nice!

Yelp
For only being 3 days into their opening, the food was pretty flavorful. I did the carne asada quesatacos. You get to pick between Mexican rice or cilantro lime and then Black beans or refried beans. I chose Mexican rice and refried. They were actually really good. They provide homemade chips and salsa, we did ask for more chips and were not charged for them so hopefully that doesn't become a thing like most downtown Orlando taco places. The seating service was a little chaotic, even though there were plenty of tables available there was a delay on where to seat us, however table service was phenomenal. She was friendly, helpful and attentive to our needs. The decor inside will definitely be an Instagramable photo opp. We came around 11:30am and by noon the place was poppin'.

Yelp
The birria sauce was really good. I loved the beans on the nachos. The service was good. I probably won't come just a preference but it was worth trying and the burrito was probably my favorite especially usuing the birria sauce.

Yelp
My wife and I decided to have a night on the town in Downtown Orlando, so we parked our car and headed down the world's famous Church Street Orlando. We noticed a few places to try but the one restaurant that caught our eye was Birria 1983 Mexican Bar & Grill. They are located in the heart of Church Street facing the street in a prime location, the bright colors of the outside is what drew us in and once inside the restaurant the decor was full of welcoming bright colors and lots of amazing looking artwork adorned the walls. We were greeted by Enrique who seated us at our table and took our order. We first ordered some chips with salsa and queso that tasted like a tasty grilled cheese sandwich it was quite delicious. My wife ordered a chicken quesadilla and I ordered a quesadilla called Birria. The Birria quesadilla was so delicious the meat was very tender and full of flavor its slightly spicy but not too hot well cooked. My wife had the chicken quesadilla which was really good as well both of our quesadillas were the best quesadillas we have ever eaten and we have eaten a lot of quesadillas over our lives. We also had dessert which was a tres leches cake which had to be the best Tres Leche I have ever eaten and my wife said the Tres Leches was better than her late step mother's which is saying something it was that damn good. The presentation of the food was top notch and the customer service was amazing Enrique was a great server. Lastly Thomas who was the chef and son of the owner came out to see how everything was which I thought was very lovely, he also told a little about himself which made our outing little more personal which was lovely as well. So if you are looking for a great Mexican Restaurant which has amazing food, great atmosphere, amazing customer service and some of the best Mexican food you will ever eat than check out Birria1983 Mexican Bar & Grill located in the heart of Church Street Orlando in Orlando, FL.

Yelp
Pictured: a THIRTEEN dollar .5 cup of largely flavorless guacamole. Okay moving on, I'd title this review growing pains. The service here was great and they were putting their all into it but I definitely wouldn't go back anytime soon. My Diet Coke had a strong taste of sanitizer in it (which they thankfully replaced for me) but that's never something I love to taste. The guacamole is also just not good at all and horribly overpriced. We just stopped in for a snack before the hockey game but they definitely have a lot of growth to do before we'd come back. The service was fantastic, the ambience is super cute, but they need a lot of work on getting running efficiently. I'd rate this experience much lower if they were an established business but they have good potential to be a fun spot near the Kia center once they're really up and running. I'd suggest more clear dietary labels on the menu as well.

Yelp
To start, the slowest service. Then I saw my $23 burrito was no bigger then the palm of my hand. I ordered two orders of tostones (asked the size of the order & was told 3 tostones per order) I was asked if it was okay for both orders to be packaged together only to receive 4 total tostones ($8 for not even half a banana lol). My order came out to be $85 for two 5" burritos (see photos) a quesadilla & 4 pieces of tostones (supposedly 2 orders). My burrito also came with pico after specifying only lettuce. Huge disappointment

Yelp
Food is extremely disgusting tbh. Service is ok. If you going to get drunk, I assume is an ok place. If you are hungry and would like to have a good tasting meal, this is the wrong place to go.

Yelp
I came here afterwork on a Friday. I had heard good things about the birria here so I decided to try it out. When I got here it was pretty empty and the food came out quick. I got the Quesa Birria meal which comes with 3 tacos and rice and beans for $22. The Birria was on point no problems, no complaints. I have had good Birria and bad Birria and this was def top notch and on point. The rice and beans were very small portion, rice was kind of hard and beans had no flavor. I'm not trippin because it's the rice and beans so it's whatever but I would've just got the tacos which would've came out cheaper if I knew the sides were so small and not that great. I would definitely return for the tacos only and when they have the bar open. They are very new so there is no liquor here yet. Overall good experience, Birria authentic and on point and a must try. The service was great. I forgot my box with my leftovers at the table and my waitress ran out and caught me before I left. I would've cried if I didn't have my leftovers when I got home. Great spot and I will definitely be back. I can see this place being very busy soon when the bar opens and with these great tacos.
