Birrieria 101

I'll start with the people. Absolutely amazing customer service. The lady at the front was very pleasant and answered all our questions as well as offered suggestions as we had not been before. The food arrived very quickly and was hot and fresh. I am impressed by how well it all tasted. Even down to the little bit of carrot and cucumber that was added on the side. The picture shows their Birrieria Beef Tacos with Rice. The sauce to dip it in was fantastic but not technically needed as the meat is seasoned perfectly. Though I recommend dipping and drizzling it on the rice! Even the chips were hot and crispy and the salsa fresh. We will definitely be back to try this again as well as experiment with other options! Oh and the horchata was top notch. That and the lemonade are a must try! They even offered refills! That is super rare.

We’ve been wanting to try this place out for months and finally got around to trying it! Sunday afternoon and it was a full house. The service was great, both the girls at the front were super sweet and letting us know about their promotions as well as offering/recommending other dishes. We both went with the quesadilla, Asada and Birria. Super fresh and delish! Got the street corn cup and guac and chips. Would eat here again and recommend!

The lady at the front was an absolute sweetheart & was very helpful. I got the mixed lemonade and it was so good! My husband got the smash burger and fries & I got the chicken burrito 🌯and it was the biggest burrito I’ve ever seen! The cheese dip and chips were very good also. We’ll be back and try something else on the menu because they have a lot!

Been a fan since they were a food truck. This place has some of the best tacos around Greenville. I always come here for the grilled cheese.

We finally tried this place and it was amazing. I got the chicken burrito and it was wonderful. I could only eat half of it. The chips and salsa they give you is delicious. Definitely will go back. Staff was so friendly and helpful.

Amazing food and fantastic service. The employees were very welcoming despite approaching closing hours and the food is consistently delicious. Highly recommend it.

Absolutely fantastic. Price is a bit high but the quality and taste are absolutely worth it. Edit* went back again and still amazing, I would highly recommend the horchata as I got it the 2nd time around and it was excellent.

I ordered from the Uber Eats app and put in the notes that it was my birthday. When the food arrived, I saw that they had decorated the outside of the to go boxes to celebrate my birthday. So sweet! Also the food was amazing, as always. Highly recommend!!

Not the BEST birria we've had in Greenville, but still very good. Portions are huge!! We got it to-go so I can't speak for the inside. Definitely solid though. My husbands burrito was probably the biggest I've ever seen. My birria tacos were good too!

I think some people get caught up in the "authentic" thing whether it's better or not. I've been twice, and the 1st thing that hit me for a hole-in-the-wall are the prices. Overpriced, even in today's inflationary world. On the good, the street corn was excellent. On the bad, the chicken nachos were boring. Just tortilla chips, white queso, and small pieces of chicken. Also not a fan of places that don't serve tap water. Counter service.

Burger was way bigger than expected, it was as big as my face. The server/cashier was very nice. We originally went there for their seafood but they hadn't received their shipment yet. He offered to give us a discount the next time we came in since we missed out on their boils (haven't taken him up on that yet!). Restaurant was very convivial and upbeat, (who I assume to be) the owner would periodically check on each and every table. We left pretty quickly only because we sat in front of the door and it was a chilly evening, otherwise we would've been there a while!

Maybe some of the best birria I have had in the upstate, birria egg rolls were a really fun and delicious spin! Also very fresh guac and salsa will definitely be back!

Run, don't walk to Birrieria 101. Hands down the best tacos I've ever had in my life. Meat and cheese were plentiful. So yummy. Nice staff.

Bad French fries and mediocre burger, though the Birria Smash burger was unique and good. I ordered online and the interface was poorly designed. I was given the option of checking a box that said "no grilled onions" and since I didn't check that box, I assumed I would be given grilled onions. Nope. And there was no option to select grilled onions. I will try tacos next time, but no more burgers.

Insanely good! Normally I am not big on Mexican food but this place changed all of that. I just ordered some street corn and a taco, and my husband had a burrito supreme. The taste was sensational, like it changed me as a person lol. Anyways, service was great, someone took our order and had it to our table in less than 10 minutes. Will be returning next week with my parents to show them what they're missing out on.

I've heard a lot of buzz about Birrieria and so decided to visit last weekend. I got the burrito supreme which was HUGE! I was only able to finish half, but boy, was it tasty! I also had an ear of street corn which was delicious too! The service was friendly and the setting was quaint and cozy. All the praise I've heard is well deserved! Highly recommend; thanks!

We have been wanting to go since it opened. The food here is one of a kind, very well prepared and delicious. The service was great and preparation took just a few minutes. I would highly recommend a stop.

This food is amazing! Literally the best tacos I have ever had. I crave them daily. They are quick and generous and kind and polite. Everything you could ask for. Don't hesitate. If you've come this far and are reading this...go get you some tacos, right away!

We went for a late lunch and the pork belly ramen was delicious! Food was hot and fresh great place to eat

The Birrieria tacos were simply amazing. We got 10 and ate 8 of them and the only reason we didn't eat all 10 is because we were stuffed. The guy behind the counter was super friendly. If you like burn your face off hit then try the salsa.

Upon arrival you are welcomed by wonderful people and smells of yummy mexican food!! Ofcourse we came for the famous birria they serve here to see what all the noise has been about. Was served to our table, deliciously presentable, and we honestly could not wait to devour the BIRRIA TACOS!! We have tried many birria platos across country, from Cali to South Cakalaky, and the birria here is INCOMPARABLY THE BEST!!! (have made multiple orders just this week alone)

I know. Very unpopular opinion but... a girlfriend and I went a few weeks ago for lunch. We got birriera quesadillas, shrimp and asada tacos and a few other items. We each paid just at/above $20 for our meals. Considering the cost and what we got we were a bit underwhelmed. To our surprise the consommé was an extra charge which you'd typically expect to simply Come with said "birriera" order. Bonus points when we didn't get it with our meal they gave it on the house. Super friendly staff. Clean place. All that going for them. The quesadillas were overloaded with cheese to the point of not really wanting to eat further. We've both had better versions at a lower cost at other local food installations. I was really looking forward to the experience and still glad we went but I doubt we'd ever go back.

A little hidden gem in Greenville SC. Only open 3 months and the food was super fresh and delicious. The fried rice was delicious and super large portions. My co workers got the tacos and they were amazing. The owners are super friendly and welcoming.

Omg I've been waiting months to go here. And it was well worth the wait. The staff was nice and friendly. And the food was amazing! This place definitely has my favorite tacos in town now. You cannot go wrong here ppl. Trust me... go and try!

The shrimp burrito was amazing and full of flavor. It was also HUGE!! Can easily feed 2 people. The red hot sauce stuff was delicious as well.

Service was excellent, very friendly staff. Food was decent. Nachos were the best thing ordered. But for what you get, it is way overpriced, $5 for watered down tea, $5 per taco and $18 for nachos. Spent almost $50 on lunch for two.

Coming from CA, my delight in Hispanic food is high and I was not disappointed in the least. WOW. This place places more food than you can take in, especially the burrito. I had the chicken regular burrito and it fed two people. I also tried the chicken taco and that is delicious also. Please do yourself a favor and try this place out. Always a line but it goes fast. As we went in the first time, a satisfied costumer said on his way out, "Wow, this is a hoppin' place" - and after eating there... I totally agree. Great food.

Great casual place - food very fresh - we probably should have split the burrito! guacamole excellent. Shrimp burrito had a lot of shrimp.

Yummmmm!! Food is excellent. Decor was a little lack luster and felt very mom and pop shop - but you're there for the food - not the wallpaper.

So tasty, but on the expensive side. A cup of Hibiscus lemonade is almost $6! The burrito supreme is bigger than my head, and the king size quesadilla can easily be shared by 2-3 people. Only 3 stars because my order has come out differently each time I've eaten there and their drink machine never works. Oh, did I mention that 20oz bottled drinks are $3 each - very overpriced!

Good but not the best Tacos are good burrito was ok ellote was meh salsa's where good just not the best they could be better and hope they continue to work at it to make it the best they have a good start.

Wow. So stopped here w the fam (us and 6 kids) and for a hole in the wall, they were beyond awesome. Accommodated us even though we overwhelmed the small venue. Was in town again the next day and stopped w 2 of the teens. They messed up 1/2 our to go order....and it was still awesome!! I mean a dish we didn't order but will next time! Love this place and will frequent whenever nearby!
