I asked for a pollo ranchers plate, but they made it out of fried chicken made who knows when, I feel the way they are cooking and preparing food is discussing, they are deceiving people, making them think is real Mexican food,.... owner it is unfair of you to do that and you still charge lots of money.

Recently went with my family for lunch and was completely disappointed with the menudo. But the most disgusting thing was when we order 3 aguas frescas 2 horchatas and 1 piña and the cup smelled bad. Like they just rinse the cups and don’t use any soap or detergent or let the cups sit in water. It took a long time to get a waiter attention all the girls was just in the back chatting trying to pop each other back ridiculous! After getting one waiter’s attention we let them know about the plastic cups smelling awful and would like to exchange the drinks for 2 Coca Cola bottles. They still had the audacity to charge us and not admit the the issue. This shows this business doesn’t care about customers and can’t recognize their fault doing.

Had 3 birria tacos they weren't the best but still tasty Service was great.

The place was packed, it was a Sunday midday. So, we knew the food had to be great the minute we walked in. The waiting was OK for the amount of people that was ahead of us. My husband ordered Birria, of course. I decided to go for the enchiladas, I always heard about morisqueta, but this is the first time I tried, it was delicious! I will definitely stop here again on my next trip to Northern California!

Google
Nothing around the area but this right here is something special!! Took me and my buddy over an hour to get an Uber for about a mile down the road from the Flying J but the food and service are amazing!! We’re from Tampa, FL and never had authentic Mexican food like this and the restaurant is super authentic!! Great food and great people!! Trucking parking available. We found out after getting an Uber 😂

Google
Great food!! Chips and salsa were yummy. No fountain drinks, but they do offer cups with ice for your can or bottle drink. Clean bathroom

Google
I really like their Barbacoa tatemada but I wasn’t served nor rice nor beans. I saw the others being served but thought they had asked for a side. When paying , the waitress didn’t apologize nor even offer to pack my side or something but she and another girl there abruptly cleared that the cost was the same as the other plates that were served sides. Awful customer service. Maybe because they were younger girls with no customer service experience . We always stop there on our way to camp and on our way back. Side note, the man in charge a few days prior was very nice though.

Google
Anyone traveling through Tulare, Ca. must stop here. It’s just off hwy 99 on ave. 200. Outstanding service, friendly staff, clean restaurant. With plenty of parking. I went for the birria de chivo en caldo today, man it was delicious. Also very important is the hand made tortillas, this is the only place where you will actually find a good tortillera for the job, they are soft and so good. These guy’s do it all, the salsas are really good! Hands down one of the best places for Birria in the Central Valley. I can almost guarantee everything on menu is just as good. Highly recommend, I will definitely be back!

Yelp
Service was hands down super nice and accommodating. Food was amazing and will definitely go there again. I got my food to go so I didn't get to sit in the restaurant, but I bet the atmosphere is the same as their service and food!

Yelp
If you are passing through this small town and in the mood for Mexican food this is your stop. This was recommended by a friend who lives in the area. I loved the food and the service was great too! It's a hole in the wall kind of spot so if you expecting fancy this isn't your place. But this family friendly restaurant was perfect for us.

Mario M.

Yelp
Food was very good and tasty. Salsa red and green very flavorful. Had birria combo awesome. Service was very good. Plenty room tables to eat.

Fernando M.

Yelp

Daniel C.

Yelp
Amazing birria burritos all day . Coustumer over two years. Literal brought healing every time my wife and I ate there.. and yes, the atmosphere is perfect. And Service.
google avatar

Frank J.

Yelp
Poor customer service. Came in to eat, was seated but no one came to take my order. Noticed people who came after me were being attended to. I waited for 10 minutes and no one came by to take my order or anything !!!I give it 2 THUMBS DOWN!!!
google avatar

Yelp
Very delicious Chips were nice and warm . Salsa was yummy Loved how they gave us two options. I ordered a quesa Birria taco & it was amazing . most definitely going back for some more quesabirria tacos... I also got an alambre plate of mix meats w handmade corn tortillas which was delicious but a bit to greasy.. tortillas were kinda to thick and in my opinion needed more salt, it tasted kinda doughy. grandfather got the Chile verde plate w rice and beans / flour tortillas. He didn't like it much but I would of rated a 6/10 . Sauce was to thick and chunky.Birrieria Apaztingan

Yelp
Food was delicious. Service was great. We stopped by on our way back from a lake trip. I was craving Mexican food and my kids love Birria. Best Birria tacos. My husband had the Birria de chivo and it was really amazing. Highly recommended.

Daniel R.

Yelp
Frijoles y masa aceda ..en cua to termine de desayunar vomite todo No se los recomiendo lo más seguro que todo esté recalentado por días

Stephanie T.

Yelp
Love the chile relleno! The birria was good, but I really loved the chile. Also their ice cream de garrafa is the best I I've had.

Bella M.

Yelp
Good food. Place is old and dirty. Poor customer service. I like their steak fajitas. If you don't mind eating in a noisy and dirty environment, this is a good place. I have been here twice, and I am not coming back.
google avatar

Fátima L.

Yelp
Service is good and food is delicious. Birria is delicious. Carnitas taco was amazing. My least favorite was asada but it wasn't bad at all. Im always excited to stop at this place. They are truck friendly which is a big plus.
google avatar

Alyssa H.

Yelp
The food was really good . They gave us extra lemon and dipping sauce. Besides miscommunication on what exactly I wanted all the food we ordered was good and I would come back here. I was so hungry though I forgot to take pics like I always do.
google avatar

Thomas R.

Yelp
Good authentic food!!! From service as soon as you walk in to taking your order very quickly and fast service.

Clarissa V.

Yelp
The best enchiladas michoacanas in town, service is good fort the busy hours,my husband and I really love to come back every other time.

Vilma G.

Yelp
The was good but the service is the worse. I shouldn't have to wait 5 minutes for a to go box and 15 minutes to pay. Worse customer service

Yelp
We ran into this place on our way to Arizona. I have been craving Birria since my last trip to San Diego. I have been living in Fresno for over a decade and I never knew of this place. The restaurant is located off the 99 freeway - south bound. As soon as you come in, you get the Banda music playlist. Great hits by the way!! The restaurant smells and looks very clean. When you come in, you may pick a table and the waitress will take your order then. We ordered the infamous Birria Bowl with corn tortillas. The caldo was amazing! Their salsa was delicious! Their tortillas to cry for (too good! Nice and warm). The only downside is that the birria had a lot of 'grasa'/ mucho cuero (idk whatnot is called in English). I didn't let my experience be ruined so I asked for more meat (carne masisa) ask extra side of tortillas. Loved it I am definitely stopping more times now that I know of this place.

Ashley B.

Yelp
I've driven past this place for years and always wondered why the parking lot was always full and now that I have visited, I can see why. The menudo was flavorful with tender meat! The birria de res was delicious and perfectly seasoned. I'll definitely be returning.

Michael L.

Yelp
The food here is very authentic Mexican food, personally for me and my family we recommend this Mexican food over all the other Mexican food restaurants in Tulare, definitely worth a try, the chilaquiles are my favorite!

Edgar R.

Yelp
Tacos are huge one is enough will definitely return I highly recommend this place I love it

Yelp
We were passing through on our little side trip and had the goat birria tacos. We ordered to-go as it was a Sunday and obviously a place where the locals and sand buggy groups hang out. We ate in the carpark and if our bellies weren't so happily satisfied with the scrumptious tacos, we would have gone back for more!! Their specialty is birria but looking at the happy customers' tables, menudo looks pretty good too. Note for the next trip!! Everything looks piping hot and there's the chance to talk with some locals who are only too willing to help. Love it!

Yelp
Tried this place for early dinner for the first time on Sunday, 5/5/2019. Loved it!!! My pros: Waitress was super friendly. We picked our own seat. No wait. Waitress brought water for us right away and chips and 2 kinds of salsa. Waitress always smiling. Order taken right away. Food came out fairly quickly. Food was delicious. We loved their green spicy sauce so much, we asked for 2 to go. I'm sure there's a name for it, but am unsure what you call it. My cons: No cons!

Yelp
I had seen someone post this place and since i drive up to Tulare every one in a while i figured i would stop by. So today i was starving and i remembered this place so i googled it. Its a big restaurant lots of seating and clean. I got to sit myself, they bring you chips and salsa green and red. I ordered a classic coke bottle that was very chilled. The young lady came up and took my order. Once i recieved my food it was perfect ... They brought out my plate plus some home made tortillas. I was in heaven. This is the best place for birria. I would always go to the one in Santa ana Ca. but not anymore. The food id DELICIOUS and full of flavor. I definitley will be back to try the menudo.

Yelp
I came with my wife on a busy Sunday morning. Every table was full. We had to wait less than 10 minutes to get a table. I ordered Menudo, sin pata con grano. The broth is very good, it reminds me a lot of Los Arbolitos in Visalia. It's light and flavorful without being super greasy or heavy red Chile flavor. You can add more spice or Chile if you want; but I prefer a lighter flavorful broth. There was plenty of tripe. Standard onion, cilantro, lime was added along with 3 thick homemade tortillas, odd though there was no dried oregano. The large bowl was $14, which is kind of pricey for menudo and the size I got. My wife got the chilaquiles and she likes them. The beans and rice with her dish were very good as well, I got to sample her dish and it's something I'd order if I wasn't in the mood for menudo. I believe we paid $33 for menudo, chilaquiles, horchata and pina. While not the cheapest options for dining the food was all very good and we didn't leave hungry. It looks like this is a popular place and I know they've been here for a long while, so they are doing something right. It was about a 20 minute drive for me to get here from where I live, and while I think it's very good I can find a place in town that's just as good. If you're a traveler on the 99, or local in Tulare, this place is a must stop. To squash a few questions in prior reviews...yes there is A/C, yes there are a couple flys, yes they take card and cash. Yelp
the quesabirria tacos are straight forward they make them with real goat meat or shredded beef and come with the side of broth to dip your tacos in best in the city of tulare i must keep it real check them out satisfying and delicious
google avatar

Ryan T.

Yelp
Highly recommend. Feels like you're back in Mexico. The food is a 5/5. Perfect for a Sunday morning.
google avatar

Antonio G.

Yelp
Let's just start by saying that the restaurant was full of flies. I was disappointed with the enchiladas. The guest that came with me all agreed that it sucked. Sorry but it's the truth.
google avatar

Heriberto G.

Yelp
Good decent place off of HWY 99 in Tulare. Its a hit or moss, sometimes their "birria and enchiladas michoacanas are awesome and at other times they are mediocre. Consistency is not their thing. However if you want "real" mexican food taste this a place you should check out..... provecho

Angelia D.

Yelp
This place is amazing! The food is so good and it's right off the freeway. The parking lot is big enough for big rigs to park too
google avatar

Frank P.

Yelp
Food is decent, but the place is just way too dirty. I couldn't enjoy my food with the amount of flys they had in there. I also found it a bit too pricey.
google avatar

Danielle M.

Yelp
Four stars only because the times I have ordered for a group I had missing items. Typically, I only order my queso tacos and am always pleased. Great prices and kind service.
google avatar

S F.

Yelp
Brirriamen was excellent. A lot of local crowd which is a good sign that they serve delicious food! We will be back here when we are in the area again.
google avatar

Jorge D.

Yelp
Love it's my brother took me here.. super fast and was nice. I will be coming back. The food was on point.
google avatar

Yelp
Being from Michoacan and passing by this gem monthly we finally decided to stop and omg it was the best decision ever made !!! Can't wait for my next trip out here to have some real bomb ass chivó birria and comida michoacana!!!
google avatar

Emily M.

Yelp
Very good food. We had tacos, cabeza burrito, Torta, and a wet Chile verde burrito. Good place , nice people. Tasty food.

Joysi A.

Yelp
Found a Dead cockroach in my water de Horchata and all they said was sorry do you want another one
google avatar

Hector H.

Yelp
The food is a mehhhhhh ... meehh... a solid 3.5 .. but this shit is not a 5 for shit bro ... but Hey it's on the 99 and in Tulare so I guess it's a 5 star .. I GUESS .. but would I come back ??? Shit probably not .. my Fanta orange soda was about the temperature of my radiator water on my John Deere ... I can't complain but I guess I am huh ... in conclusion It's a meeeeehhhhhhhhh .!!!!
google avatar

Keoni B.

Yelp
Charming little old building right off the freeway plenty of room inside and even outdoor seating in the shade as well. Very colorful inside the way I like it they have booths and regular tables as well. I ordered the Caldo birria and it was fantastic definitely invite Stars. And I will definitely be back!
google avatar

Mitch R.

Yelp
The Birrieria was yummy!! Loved the chili oil! It's the first Mexican food I've been to with bomb chili oil!! Had a little rice and beans the tortillas were awesome seemed so fresh and homemade with the chili oil so delicious!
google avatar

Maria L.

Yelp
Worst service! I'm sorry but I asked for no Onion and they brought back the same tacos and they just picked some onion out! Then aguachiles where warm NASTY! Also HOT AF!!! Never again
google avatar

ANTHONY C.

Yelp
Stopped by this place while traveling and they didn't let me down. The Birria is amazing and full of flavor
google avatar

Jeremy B.

Yelp
Tremendous. Heard a lot about their Menudo and decided to try it out. As advertised it is among the best I've had. Great service and easy to access location of the 99.
google avatar

Jana M.

Yelp
I had the enchilada plate and it was delicious! Authentic enchiladas de Mexico. It came with chicken that was grilled nice and crispy. Great flavor! My mother in law had menudo with pata and she said it was delicious. My father in law and husband had the birria which is what they came for. All with hand made tortillas. I will definitely return if I'm ever in the area. This is definitely authentic Mexican food and it's delicious. If you want real Mexican food this is the place.
google avatar

Kiki D.

Yelp
Complimentary chips and salsas (mild green & spicy red) when you eat in too! I loved the wet green burrito (ex. Onions and cilantro of course)
google avatar

Jose G.

Yelp
Seems ok at first, but you wait a long time to get food. Cash only even though they have credit cards signs on all windows. Waitress handles cash and then goes to kitchen to grab tortillas without washing hands. Birria Is Made from goat, and not really good at all. Has a strong curry flavor and very greasy. I would not return here again. When you look at ceiling fans you can tell it's been a while since last dusting!
google avatar

Peter R.

Yelp
Great food great service. I had the caldo de 7 mares and fiance had the birria it was all very good. Best birria Ive had in a long time. And our server was very nice and friendly kept checking on us in a polite and non obtrusive way. But no beer nor alcohol. I was hungover and needed a beer bafly. But the soup revived me and i was happy
google avatar

Ruben A.

Yelp
Food is just ok. Birria is just a goat meat caldo. Not much ice in water, and sodas are not cold. Service is ok. Wife wants to come back some other time to try other foods. No A/C, it is very warm inside and there are flies buzzing around. I will not be coming back.
google avatar

Lynn B.

Yelp
This place is great. I mean it. Go here! It's like you're in Mexico. The birria, the homemade tortillas, the salsas! My husband had the Huevos Rancheros. All we had was amazing. Run to this gem of a restaurant ....
google avatar

Lou Ellen T.

Yelp
Very good chili relleno. Fantastic homemade corn tortillas. The service was great. My only disappointment was the beans, however my husband liked them, so maybe my tastebuds were just off.

Maria A.

Yelp
Wow. Be careful.. I never, ever review places but this is ridiculous. Almost $10 for this plate of "ceviche." This is ridiculous. They threw in a WHOLE onion in there to make it seem like it's full. This is disgusting smh never going here again!
