The food was great! I got a 3/4 of a pound of the birria seca. It came with free big conzome. Overall it was good the tortillas man some ppl weren’t lying when they said they aren’t the best, but I ain’t gonna complain since they came free. I do have to say it did caught me of guard the prices are not updated. The sign said it was $25 but I was charged $27.5 so that is 2.50 extra but I mean it may not be much but yeah still not cool in my perspective. I do know they have a sign if you pay with card they do charge a dollar extra so that would be $26 but it still $1.5 extra I don’t understand where that be coming from. Cashier was nice So I can’t complain.

Great food, amazing customer service when the older women is there. This place is all about their food, so keep that in mind when you sit at a table with patio chairs. Their Birria Is amazing, I go there every now and then, since it's a few blocks away from work.

Very disappointed in this place what kind of tacos place that claim to sale birria tacos doesn’t have any? The tacos are below average at best. I got the pork ones. Also they close extremely early. And you cannot even use the bathrooms and they don’t let a lot of people come in.

I have been here for years. The employees are really nice and so is the owner. His mother and father also sometimes work in the restaurant. It's used to be a great mom & pops restaurant. The birria is well seasoned and tender. However, the owner seems to have this new supervisor who goes around the restaurants and tallies the sales and other manager duties. This supervisor is the worst. This man talked down at a friend and I because we asked if my 9 year old could use the restroom. He said they don't allow people in their restroom, but another customer was just let in. He let an older person pass, but not a child. I let him know the owner has let us in use the restroom in past visits. This man told us with a smirk, "Well, do you see the owner now? It is not my problem." Just plain rude, just for that, I don't think I will return. I don't give my money to places that treat their patrons in a rude matter. If he is like this to the customers, I can imagine how he is with the employees that he manages.

As soon as I walk in I felt unwelcome the last at the register couldn't put her phone away, I order and wow, I don't mind to o pay for food but 20 dollar for a cup of water and salt, no condiments at all the tortillas were gone already. And more attitude to pick up my order! I'm disabled and she saw that and she said go get your order back there. I could barely walk that day.

Horrible service and birria was salty as hell!...waited 30 minutes for my food cause the skipped over my number and couldn't even find the order even though I was standing in front of the server for the whole time!..

Long wait. Rude staff. Unless you’re a regular…then you will maybe get a smile. Overflowing trash…brown and bad limes…over priced menu that is NOT worth the price or time. One star because the tortillas were hand made.

I ordered 4 of birria and they had pure fat, not to mention that the service was absolutely slow. By the time our food arrived it was cold . When this place barley opened, the tacos and everything was amazing ! Now I feel like they don't put in as much effort into the food and they're just plain bad....

Ordered delivery thru an app. They were in time, hot, and fresh. Tortillas were delicious on their own. Meat was tender and juicy. As we say in Spanish, "sirven miy bien" - which means decent portion size. We got 8 tacos and they weren't stingy with flavorful consome. Overall it made a great lunch. The consome was rich and well spiced with hints of clove and other slices really complementing the meat. Will totally order again!

Horrible service...food comes out late and they forget about your number. Feel like a sardine inside waitingbfor your food to come out. And to top it off the birria was salty as hell!

First time going here because I heard how good there food is however my experience was horrible. Upon arrival there was no greeting and was completely ignored. Once I got my food I found a roach cooked in my Berria plate and of course I returned it and complained to the owner of this place with no response and embarrassment from him. I was not able to get my money back but you best believe I will not be returning

I love this birreria. The food is amazing. Staff is nice. But the Birria en caldo will always be my top choice from this place

If there was a choice for no stars I wouldn't even rate it a 1 star. Literally the worst and most disgusting restaurant I have ever been to. Customer service was horrible. As I was ordering my food the cashier was sucking on a lime while taking my order. (Very unprofessional) I should had left at that point but I decided to give it a chance. I ordered 3 tacos de birria "original" and so did my friend. As we got our order we walked to add our condiments and I noticed some limes were rotten... as we sat to eat our tacos we noticed the birria was not fully cooked!!!! And the consome had no flavor... please save your money and avoid getting food poisoning.. never again will I return. I wish I would've took a picture of our uncooked birria.. and our unflavored horchata

So I'm really into my birria tacos right now ever since my trip to (name withheld) last weekend, but I'm now officially looking for an alternative to them simply because I can't handle the long wait time. So here I found Birrieria El Guero near my mom's house and decided to try it since I've heard good things about their food. My take on it is that it's simply good, but not something to write home about. This is not a negative review, but I won't over hype the place. The food was really good. I had no regrets eating there. I got their taco mix plate with a cup of conzome, and tried their variety of salsas and was overall pleased. But as far as searching for some bomb @$$ birria tacos, or birria in general, my search continues. I will say that I would return to this place. Unless I find another hidden gem.

If I could give this spot 0 starts I will. Today I went with a friend to eat and when the tacos were handed to us the meat was so raw and disgusting. It was so uncooked and on top of that the consome looked so old and had no flavor to it. On top of that they had a child doing cashier and didn't know what she was doing and was sucking on a lemon it was so unprofessional and dirty. I wouldn't be surprised if I got food poisoning. I will be contacting the health department to have this place closed down for good

Birria is one of my favorite dishes and that is why I decided to go to this place. I work near this place and pass by there every day on my way to work. A few days ago I wanted to eat birria and I wanted to try some new place since I have already tried most of the restaurants near my work and that is why I decided to go to Birrieria el Guero. The truth is that I ended up very disappointed by the quality of the birria. It tasted very bad and looked more like water than to a good consommé. The salsas were frozen. Nothing to do with a fresh spicy salsa. And last but not least, the price! $15 for a bowl that small ?? I definitely do not recommend this place! And less if you are a person like me who likes birria so much. Very bad experience!

Okay tacos I think they can do better ... place was a bit dirty but I guess that's business ... I don't promote no business but that Birrieria Villalobos is BOMB.COM! Thanks!

Best chivo birria in LA. Idc what any comments say service etc. guesss what you're in the ghetto n thats where the best f ood is at they know what they're serving, btw I'm a chef n i approve this no gammmy not overwhelming just perfect! 0-10 this is a 9.5 cause i leas e room for improvement but hands down i never tasted better chivo.

I do not try the birria because it's goat but since I was there and had 30 mins left for my lunch I ordered 3 tacos; 2 de al pastor and 1 of chicken. I don't like the meat at all definitely not coming back!

I was pleasantly surprised, it's hard to find a places that sell tasty tacos de birria. For example in comparison to the famous Birrieria San Marcos in the Valley these tacos are WAY more flavorful. The only difference is that they don't fry their tortillas. Birrieria el Guerro is a small and humble establishment - no fuss, no muss with a straight forward menu (birria, al pastor, chicken and asada tacos) which includes a broth to dunk your tacos in. They also make the most delicious yellow corn tortillas, so yummy. The tacos I sampled were succulent and flavorful. The owner was very friendly. I'll definitely be returning.

Just tried this spot today, beans are good, rice is good and Birria is very tasty! They have a spicy habanaro sauce that is good also and freshly made tortillas! :) I recommend this place for anyone looking for some good Birria.

Birria de borrego was amazing, tender and clean. The consomé is amazing as well specially after a long night of drinking. The freshly made tortillas are great as well and add a great taste. The only downside is the service from the waitress. We did go in early morning i assume as they had just opened, but constantly had to ask her for things and was on her phone. Besides this this place has awesome tasting birria and would come back in hope of better service. Btw the cook who might be the owner was very kind and hospitable.

Sometimes I have to add flavor to my birria plate but from opinion, this time nothing was needed just a splash of lemon. It was super good a 10 out 10. Place is very small, practically a hole in the wall but definitely return back with better timming to get a table, but worth the wait. HOpe this review helps. Will be returning back soon

This place never fails me. You can't go wrong with their hand made yellow corn tortillas. Please be advise this spot is not your boujee typical restaurant so if your that one high class person, maybe you want to order to go. It is located on a very messed up neighborhood but when the food is that delicious... it really doesn't matter. The price is a bit high but its worth paying. Really authentic Mex Goat soup takes you right at your hometown if your from mexico of course.The broth is so rich in flavor and it taste like its been cooking for hours.

Very stiff tortillas, & rude people! Go to birria el Guero on Alameda & Gage they're the real ones!

This is the best place in LA to get birria or something similar. Their tacos de birria are the best, well known, and their specialty. Their consumé are very delicious as well. Any type of plate you get, it's a guaranteed delicious plate.

I haven't found another Birrieria de Chivo that exceeds this one, delicious. Consome comes with your order plus bones upon request. The bones are literally bones hardly any meat but they are still bomb. My favorite spot.

The only thing I had here were tacos de birria and they were delicious!! The meat is excellent in flavor. The place can get crowded - lots of people come here to eat. Can be disorganized, but the food is really good!

This is our usual birria spot and we've been here quite a few times. Unfortunately, this last time we went the consume was lacking flavor. It almost felt like they added water to the left over consume from the morning.

They have really bad costumer service, the lady that is in the cashier is really rude.

I had order out using Uber Eats App. I ordered the Apaztigan Large Birria. And when it arrived with the burrito I ordered the container it came in was so small I couldn't believe it. It was so small I hate to what the order looks like in person at place itself. It wasn't enough for a 10 year old to eat. I would never recommend this place.

I've ordered here twice and both times the food was nasty. The first time I ordered a carne asada burrito and a burrito de birria. The birria was a major disappointment. The asada burrito was ok. The second time I ordered a chicken burrito...it was alright. I also ordered tacos de cachete, pollo, birria, and asada. Again, the birria was nasty, the asada was ok, the pollo was alright, and the cachete I gave to my dog. I definitely will not return. Also, the burritos are freaking pricey. I paid $17.52 for two burritos...wtf!

Really sucks that my first review will be a bad one my goal is to help small businesses while also helping the food fanatics that want to have a great experience as well .. I basically came here during my lunch hour and asked for a burrito due to them promote the burrito online and 3 tacos the lady was very rude and told me to first look at the menu before I even bother to order something that's not there . I tried to keep my cool ! Guy asked them why they are not doing burritos and they said they ran out of tortillas I would've preferred for her to say that then being rude ! Mind you she also left me standing for 5 minutes before even taking my order while no one else was in line .. the final straw that got to me is they promote free consume when you order 3 tacos I asked them about it and to make this worst you have to serve your own consome WOW she also made a remark and told me to make sure I don't burn myself because she doesn't want me to blame them for me getting burned -_- for sure I will never come back and will not recommend this place to anyone !

Honestly these were the best tacos I've had tried, after the 3rd time I ordered on Uber eats I started noticing that every other complain this restaurant has is true. Consume taste like if they just added water to it. I once went there to just order some tacos and the restaurant says it closes at 10pm I went around 6pm and what one of the ladies said to us once we arrived " NO HAY NADA " & " WE TURNED OFF THE STOVE " . customer service sucks

The birria is very good & the cashier is friendly BUT when I came in with my mom for the first time she asked to see the plate sizes and the guy in the back was so rude! He got mad that we were asking and took his time to show us, and when he finally did.. He slammed the plates back where they were.

Came in and placed an order to go for about 10 people. Walked in and they prepared my order in front of me. Place was full (Saturday morning) but was in and out in a matter of no more than 10 minutes. The food is delicious and the salsas give it that little extra kick to make you say it's great! Will definitely be coming back for more!

Love the Birria here. The hand made tortillas & not to mention the service is great too. If you are searching for a birriera this is the spot!!

This is my favorite Birria restaurant. The Birria is good, the tortillas are handmade, and they have a sekection of salsas. The staff is friendly, they have a decent size for seating, and they have their own parking.

Loved this place. Very good. I order the birria Apatzingan. Came with an order of fresh made tortillas delicious!!! Will continue to come here.

Tried this place for the first time and was truly disappointed. The meat was over cooked and the broth was salty and greasy. The thick layer of fat was a turn off. Looking for good Birria definitely not here. The tortillas smell and are so tiny. Sorry wish I could have said better things about this place. It just seems like a copycat of another place near by.

Definitely the best birria in town along with the home made tortillas, come here every Sunday excellent service!

Tried it with UberEATS and liked their tacos. Stopped by for the birria and it was ok needs more flavor too salty but I keep going back it's better once you throw the salsa and lemon in it. Their salsas are the best my dad loves the habanero sauce! Customer service is great as well.

really bad customer service!!! yes is full but the lady charging had a big attitude and does not take the order correct!!!! when receiving the good they gave me wrong order , salsa bar and entire business is so durty!! never again coming back!! they promote it in instagram but not what they post at all!!!!!
