I finally got to stop by the little place ... TOTALLY REGRET IT.... Klarissa tried serving me food that was not only handed to another customer ( a plate of tacos dorados) but the customer noticed it had no onion he even opened some tacos to check . The waitress took them to the kitchen and didn't throw them away instead put them on another tray and tried handing them to me I told klarissa that those tacos were handed to another customer and she said we know we put new consome . THATS A HUGE HEALTH HAZARD there's no restroom in the restaurant the customer just payed for his order and now you served us the food he touched .... Super unprofessional . AND INSTEAD OF JUST APOLOGIZING klarissa told the customer in line that it wasn't true . Thankfully the customer who touched my food told them that he did touch the tacos and his wife to and that wasn't correct .she gave me my cash back .. I filed a health complain form with the county dep

If you like tacos de birria dorados, you should try this place, this is the best tacos and birria, the place is very nice and clean and the employees are very kind, also the price is good compared with other places, they have orders with 3 or 4 tacos including consome Chile toreado chips and salsa for les than $10 dlls. Great Tijuana style tacos. The birria asada is super tender and flavorful, it complements well with their tortilla tacos. I like that this place gives you consume for rehydrating the tacos and chips. A hidden gem in South Gate for sure.

I came to this place because i was on the crave for some birria , but let me tell you I regret it , as soon as we we’re eating we felt this smell weird but , I didn’t want to say anything but I ended up with stomachache and my daughter was also sick trowing up never coming back it seems that the birria It’s not fresh, who knows how many days they have them and they served it to us customers even if it rotten 🤮

They are amazing I usually come here on weekends is never so full . The ladies have a great attitude very attentive & the food is so delicious I recommend is better then any other birrieria I have been to .

My little sidekick and I were craving birria, so we decided to embark on a mission to satisfy that craving. Yaaaas! The restaurant was small inside, with some really cool paintings decorating the interior. (very cultured) Love it! However, there was no restroom available, but that's beside the point. We ordered some birria and consommé to go along with it and took our food to a nearby park for a picnic. Customer service was cool. Damn nearly pee'd my pants though lol thankfully next door had a restroom. We thoroughly enjoyed our birria! It definitely hit the spot.

The food is good, but the service is getting worse. Particularly I have to quickly call out the older woman with glasses who works at night. She has blondish hair. She insist on talking to me in Spanish when I clearly don't speak & talk to her in english I am a frequent customer at this establishment, and every time she serves me, she is as rude as can be. She acts like we are a burden and wasting her time. When I asked for a substitution of the salsas from red to green, she charged me instead of simply switching them. Everyone else who serves me there is always professional and nice--it's always this lady that I have to deal with. I'm paying 100% of my money, so I deserve 100% of the quality service I get every time I go there, especially since I visit more than three times a week. This lady needs to realize that we are doing them a service by giving them our business, and she should appreciate it. Another time, I ordered five birria tacos and only received four. When I told her, she gave me an attitude, didn't replace the taco, and only offered me a drink instead. Unlike the others she does nothing to make you feel welcome, & it needs time change

Ordered my usual, Keto tacos with a small consome. Service is good and quick I usually order to go, broth with the red sauce is really good together. Place is clean and they always have good music playing. 100% recommended.

The food is delicious! The lady that was cooking is sweet, but the clerk is incredibly rude. I come often, since I work near. I used to think maybe she was having a bad day, but every single time I've been there, she answers with an attitude. She's gotten a few of my orders wrong, I ask her kindly to correct them and she gets annoyed by it. My coworkers have stopped going because of that. I still enjoy the food. Just thought I'd give everyone a heads uo.

Disappointing experience! We order 5 items from doordash, but we only received 1. Plastic bag seemed to be not fully sealed. Driver blamed the restaurant, restaurant blamed the driver. Very bad experience. I would recommend better packaging, so customer feels safe when order is being delivered. I dont think ill be ordering from this place anymore.

Good food. The service was great. I ate inside but I saw how popular the place was with how many people came to get take out. I got the 3 taco plate and it came with chili and salsa as well. For just the 3 tacos I thought it was going to be a plate with like rice or beans. It's not bad just on the expensive side for the tacos itself.

I seen this place around and decided to give it a try and im glad I did. It's a good space for dine in and take out and the service was really good. I made a pretty big order and they got me right. The quest birria tacos were my favorite. The burrito wasnt as good as I hope it would be considering how delicious the tacos were. I also recommend the birria ramen, that was a 10/10 especially on a hot day. If you're around the area or a local definitely check this spot out.

Their tacos dorados de birria are delicious. They're cheesy, crispy and very tasty. We either get the order of 4 or (they're that good). Like that they give you the consomé & salsas. The red salsa y spicy but so good. They also give you homemade tortilla chips with your order.

I will drive to this place no matter where i am in socal. ive been to a good amount of places and this is top 3 for me for birria tacos. I order the 5 piece and some rice and thats a wrap for me. the other food is great too but this is what ive always gotten. if you love birria tacos come here.

Super affordable prices and huge portions. I had the beef taquitos which were so delicious and came with sour cream and lettuce. Each plate also comes with a huge chili which is great if you love spicy. Lots of food options and plenty of seating. One of the best birria places I've tried. They have plenty of parking in the plaza that it is located. After if you are craving desert you can stop by Tierra Mia or La Michoacana nearby. Super nice and friendly staff. They ask if every thing is to your liking and if they can get you anything else.

I was craving birria and came across this gem on Yelp. It was a great choice. It was busy when I arrived, which was reassuring. I ordered 3 tacos dorados de birria and my friend ordered flautas de res. Our food was fresh, flavorful, and filling. The birria was delicious & the consommé elevated it to another level. The customer service was excellent. They were very friendly and made sure that we satisfied with our food. This will definitely be added to the rotation when I'm in the mood for birria. 10/10.

I don't recommend this place at all bad service the work lady in the back that goes by the name klarissa I believe she cooks/preps the food in the back takes out an order to this couple and I notice the couple said it's more then What they had ordered and that they were missing some stuffed like sauces so the lady told them to grab the sauces from the both plates she had in her hands since she couldn't assist them on giving them to them since her hands were full so the other people grabbed them from her and she proceed to go back to the back were the kitchen is and left out the plates on the counter for the other worker to see who's were their not knowing that they were ours they just got confused and tried giving the other couple our food so I thought they were going to remake us the food again but no instead they try handing out the plates back out to us when it had already been touched by other people so we thought that was disgusting so we made them give us a refund cause that is unacceptable.

One of my favorite birria de res spots in the area! The orden of tacos dorados (3) is , it comes with a small cup of consomé and some chiles toreados. I have also tried their tacos dorados de papa and they are also very good! If you're craving birria on a Saturday/Sunday morning, you can't go wrong with Birrieria Esquivel!

The food is good but it felt bad seeing other people get their food before you when you had ordered way before them. It took them 35min to give me 4 tacos. A group of 3 came in 15 min after I ordered and they got their food before I did so that was frustrating. If you don't mind waiting that long for a couple of tacos them come here and eat...I guess. Also, the music in there is way too loud.

Absolutely delicious birria tacos. Crispy on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside. The consome was also delicious and perfectly flavored. Service was great and prices were very reasonable. They have a small seating area and spanish music playing. Food came out fairly quickly after ordering. Will return. Highly recommend!!

I was already eating my second taco. Lol This might be my new go to place for birria plus it wasn't to far from my house. Winning!

This is the best birria taco place in town! They also have really good potato tacos. Their tacos are great time and time and time again. Maria at the cashier provides Great customer service and is always friendly and smiling when you approach to order! They have a few tables for you to eat there but it's definitely a very small space. Also, they sell homemade flan and it is amazing and prized well at only $5. Their consome is also good (not full of oil like at some other spots). Definitely come get some birria tacos, ask for them to be extra crispy if you want an added crunch, and enjoy!

This restaurant is so good. I order tacos dorados and flautas de res. I'm impressed with the flavors on the food very authentic Mexican flavor. The staff was very attentive when I was dinning in came to see check on me if I was ok with everything. The aguas frescas taste so fresh. This will definitely me my place to come back love birria. Everyone is nice it feels just like home

Birrieria Esquivel is fairly new to South Gate. It is probably one of the easiest places to find because of location. Honestly, I don't know of many other Birrieria places in the area but this one stands out! It is very delicious and good prices. They have a very simple basic menu but has a great variety. I ordered their their birria dorado tacos with horchata. Let me make it clear, they use BEEF. Their logo is a cow (haha) The birria is VERY clean. and tacos are not oily! The flavor is in the SAUCE, the broth! Make sure to drench your taco in it. I'll definitely be going back. It's quick, easy and fast ordering. Customer service is great.

This place is so good! Go here now! Order 5-6 Tacos Dorado De Birria, side of chips, consommé, and a drink and call it a day! Birrieria Esquivel really does it well and has some of the best Birria Tacos I have ever tried no wonder people talk about it!

Excellent flan, super fast service. Ordered the chicken flautas , and was absolutely stuffed afterwards. Will definitely definitely definitely be coming back here. Hard to find a really solid meal for $9-$10 these days. I'm glad these sort of places still exist

We doordashed the Tacos Dorados de Birria and holy shit. First off, the order was super fast and got here within 20 minutes, and we're out of the normal DoorDash range. The crisp on the tortilla and the juiciness of the meat was absolutely phenomenal. The birria was so tasty and to die for! The green hot sauce was so flavorful too. For $16.20 this was totally worth it!! Highly recommend.

This was my first time here and Birrieria Esquivel did not disappoint! They've set the bar pretty high for me now for birria tacos! I ordered the Tacos Dorados de Birria which come with 3 tacos for $8.49 or 4 tacos for $11.49. They come with a roasted jalapeño, salsa and a small cup of consomme (broth).The tortilla had a perfect crisp while having the perfect amount of meat, cheese, onions and cilantro! They also give you a side of freshly made tortilla chips and salsa and boy was that spicy! I did not expect the salsa to be that hot but I was pleasantly surprised! For drinks they have assorted canned coke products, bottled water and they have horchata, jamiaca, and several other agua frescas. I got their horchata and it was super refreshing and tasty! It brought down the heat from the tacos and salsa! I definitely want to try the burrito and fluatas next time I'm here! The inside is quite small and they only have a couple tables inside with maybe 1-2 outside. They are located next to the El Super market so there is plenty of parking available. I highly recommend coming here and will be back in the future!

I recommend this little corner place. The food is very tasty. Great service. My tacos were crunchy but soft at the same time.if you're in a mood for a Birria, this is the place for you to go. If you don't believe it go and experience it for yourself.

Omg this place! I always order from here cause they have friendly and very nice customer service. The food is very tasty and unique flavor the ambiance is ok but clean but I prefer to take my order to enjoy it at home.

oh my lord this is simply the best food i have ever bestowed upon my mouth. juicy warm, cooked to perfection birria stuffed inside of a tortilla dipped in a flavorful consume with cheese overflowing out the taco. always amazing service and the people are always very nice and help bring large orders (tray of 30 tacos) to our car. i definitely recommend this place all the time to friends and family and they always love it.
