The birria burrito was ok. The birria meat tasted a little bit awkward. I'm not sure what it was. Maybe it's the water rising or washing of the cooking pot that made it taste a little bit awkward or something in the cooking process of it. It did not upset my stomach. I have eaten birria in other places that have really good taste. This is not the best birria I have eaten, but it was ok. The pineapple juice 🍍 was really good. I still appreciate the service here 🙏. Thank you.

The biriani is ok. The consome is great! Beans and rice are average. This shop is on the pricier side. Not to mention, they add a 4% upcharge if you used credit/debit. Which is outrageous! I understand 0.50 cents charge anything more than that is crazy. Probably won't be back but the staff is very friendly.

My husband and I came here for Cinco de Mayo. Not much seating, but we got lucky there was plenty of space. We tried quesatacos and tacos dorados (with cheese). Had a small consome for dipping. Everything was amazing and I'm certain we'll be back again.

These are the best tacos I ever ate in my whole life. The soup is the best soup ever I love this place. The gentleman here is awesome five stars hands down

I only ordered the Quesatacos because the looked really good on the advertised picture. When I received my food I tried getting a refund but they didn't want to GIVE MY MONEY BACK!!! WATCH OUT FOR THIS PLACE THEY USE FAKE PICTURES FOR THE FOOD

The Tacos Dorados are very good. The birria is good and tasty. The salsa they have is very delicious and spicy. My order was served with rabanos and lime. They had a long line but I got my tacos and it was worth it. I will be returning.

Apparently their pictures of food isn't what you order, literally I know the pictures never look the same but it's what you order in this case we order queso birria tacos and we got regular tacos with "cheese" on the bottom of the meat. That you can't even see for 3 of them was like $10.80? Yea not worth it.

Flavors that make you want to keep eating more. I like to dip my tacos in the caldo for maximum flavor.

The place itself looks so dead and dirty. Everything looks disgusting the service is whatever only one person taking orders and making the food!!!

If your looking for good birria tacos this place is a must the food here is really good !! The service is pretty good also ass long as you call ahead to place your order for pick up the place is pretty small if you wanna eat in I prefer takeout eating at home

The place itself looks unsanitary, while paying the light fixture hanging over the register was filthy, full of dust like it has never been cleaned. The entire place looked dirty. Unfortunately we had pre ordered the birria noodles ahead of time. The service was good, the food though did not sit well with my husband's stomach he was sick that night and the next day as well. They should consider cleaning the place who knows what the kitchen looks like

The customer service since the moment I walked into the establishment was horrible, the cashier had a hostile attitude. They made me wait 10 minutes to take my order while the cashier chatted with the cook. My food was burnt and half of my order was missing. I highly do not recommend coming, you will leave with an unpleasant experience.

Bomb birria tacos. Got the tacos queso dorado. The salsa super spicy and good. So much meat and cheese totally worth the price! I love how they wrap each taco individually so its not that messy when you eat. They packaged the onions separately which i appreciated so the tacos dont get soggy. Gave plenty of napkins, radish, and limes. I will def order from them again!

I love the food so delicious and flavorful and good portion sizes. However the customer service is horrible. I've been here like four times and the person that works the register should not work register. Especially, if she is going to have a bad attitude and be impatient. It definitely happened with me and I've observed it with other guests while waiting to be served.

I used to love this place but they are getting greedy I ordered 10 dorados tacos and they gave me 2 salsas if I want more it's .50 cents each like come on

I love this place dude . My coworkers wanted Birrieria one day and this is the first place that popped up. Ironically, it's right next to my nailshop. The tacos , burrito, quesadilla, consome, pineapple Fresca - everything is really good .

When I went i was given a beautiful red consome and tender meat with nice spices and fresh beans and rice. Im Hispanic. My husband went who is not Hispanic and he received this plate with no beans, dried pit rice, clear unflavored consome, Dried out tortillas and oil soaked quesadilla. We were gonna have this with our kids for dinner. Ended up getting a pizza.......

Service was terrible I politely ordered my order and the girl with the red hair had a attitude. Food was not done and uncooked. Ambiance I asked for her to switch my drink because it was a hair on it and she had a smart comeback. Food was a 2/10 .

The birria hard shell tacos are really good. But you have to wait too long to her your food. Not enough workers to provide a great service. The same person that takes the order, they prepare your tacos.

Birria was ok no flavor got a burrito and tacos only thing that was good was the consome and salsa , the place looks a little dirty but the people were nice.

First time and last time. The lady on the register, plain rude. The Birria, they give you less than half of the container and the rest is the meat broth. If you ask them to make sure there is more meat, she rudely tells you that is comes half meat and half the meat and half broth. Very bad customer service and business practice. I don't recommend. Mal servicio, la birria para llevar le dan mas caldo que carne. Si pide que le pongan más burros que el jugo o caldo, con voz pedante les dicen que todos lo dan con mitad birria y mitad de el jugo o caldo. Mentiras. No regreso aquí. Además la locación no se ve muy limpio.

Very disappointed with the service lately first we ordered through Uber eats and they sent our food WITHOUT cilantro NO onions NO limons and no salsa! Keep in mind we always specify our orders. Second time my husband when in to make sure we had everything in order to enjoy our food and they forget to pack our consomés smh

Disappointed to say the least. Sunday at 2 pm and I go in with my family the place is empty. I go to order a quesadilla de birria and the lady tells me they don't have flour tortillas also take your own towel to clean the table, they are dirty.

This is my fave birria spot, other places i usually have to go through my taco and take out the fat but not here! It's all actual meat, no fat or bones... my fave are the tacos dorados and the consomé. The downfall is the place is small and it gets crowded very quick, expect to wait, it's never a quick in and out because it's always so packed, but then it's bomb so I don't mind the wait!

Yo!! the first time I had these tacos was a some Salvadoran festival off their food truck! And not only did I love the food but the staff!!!they were extremely welcoming and really made me feel like I' have known them for a while. It was Great! Check out mah gram!! @kkidwonder

I highly recommend this spot. I've been coming here at least once a week because of how good the birria and consome is. I normally get the tacos dorados with a consome on the side. I went in once for two orders of birria and between two ppl you can definitely eat up to 2-4 times each. Portions are great for the price. I will keep coming here until I get bored of eating it which is probably never!!

I'm by far not an expert in Birrieria except that at weddings or quincenieras which it's served leaves me with this happy feeling. Well, now I don't need to be invited to a wedding or wait till a teen I know turns 15. This place serves some amazing Birrieria that's worth the drive especially since it's open late. If your ever in the CPT make sure you EAT!

This place is not worth it at all. I've tried different birria places and only came here because my usual spot is closed on Mondays. Never again will I return. The burrito is the size of a taco bell $1 burrito, but they charge $8. It had more rice than meat. The quesataco had no cheese whatsoever. And they charge $3. I bought $44 worth of food and the lady giving out the orders STILL gave me attitude when I asked for extra salsa. Salsa which was just stupid spicy instead of flavorfully spicy. Not to mention, their actual birria is SO DRY . Do yourself a favor and try Birrieria Gomez in Lennox instead.

Birria was extremely flavorful and the chef chopped it up perfectly. Will definitely come back. And the tables are back so we were able to sit and eat it fresh!

I love this birria ! The consome con carne itself is its own meal and so satisfying and the aguas frescas are so good. I hate milky horchata but this horchata is so fire!

Birrieria Gonzalez: Location: Corner Rosecrans/Long Beach Blvd Compton CA Parking: problematic, it's inside shopping center. Lots of cars parked illegally along side of other cars. Cleanliness: C grade. I sat here for two hours and no one came out to clean the tables or sweep the floor's. I would note, they do have a A grade from public health and a help wanted sign out front so I will give them the benefit of doubt there just under staff right now, but still someone should clean the tables. Environment: small location only three tables that sit 4 and a little one for two right next to the trash can. The rest of the seating is bar style along the windows. Loud music, mostly old school hip hop and oldies. I like it this type of music but may be annoying to others. They should tone it down. Customer service: C grade and that's me being nice. Staff don't greet you, no one is smiling, happy or say thank you. No one asked if I needed anything else. I asked for chili salsa and the lady told me she already put some in my bag. Note, I never got a bag and she didn't give any salsa. No biggie it's not good for me anyways. Orders take a while to come out, we waited for over 30 min for two tacos and one birria bowl. Food quality: medium to average, so all be nice and give them C grade. The consume taste good however, it was very oily. I tried to skim some of the oil off the top but it was throughout. Tacos dorados equally oily and the meat was under seasoned. Surprisingly, the meat had very little fat, so I don't know why it's so oily. Price: $$ Summary: this would not be my first, second or even my third choice Birrieria spot. They definitely have some work to do to get it on my top three. However, if your in the area and you feel like eating Birrieria, I encourage you to try it out for yourself and post what you think. To be fair I'll be back in a few weeks for a follow up review. Till then, aproveche!

I always love coming to this location, the staff is friendly despite being always short handed. The food incredible ! And the service is super slow however the food and quality are always TOP NOTCH. Completely recommend this restaurant ! However!!: If you are in a hurry might be your best option to take a chill pill before heading to this location.

It's open. But take 1hr to get your food. And it's not even that busy. When I got my order It didn't even have condiments or salsa or nothing. I WI ordered at 6:45 and got my order at 7:50 PM just very very Disappointing because this place used to be really good in service.

Food is excellent, however they could improve their execution.. I had to wait 40 minutes for a consomé because there were large orders of tacos ahead of me . Isn't it easy to just pour the consomé in a cup and give it to the costumer .. instead of having this order wait behind tacos ? Meanwhile the cashier is in the back or just standing there while there are no costumers ordering . Shouldn't she be helping the kitchen when she doesn't have customers?

The food hands down is amazing! Giving it 3 stars because since it opened I've given multiple tries and customer service is definetly NOT A PRIORITY. Also, since they opened they have stickers all over doors they take cards and they still have CASH ONLY on the register. Asked yesterday when they were gonna take card and they still don't know

They took my order then had me wait while they fixed the register. Then after 5 mins they were going to charge my card, then they asked me if I had cash instead because their card system doesn't work. So not only did they waste my time but they wasted the food because they started working on my order before they charged me. Bad customer service.

Used to come to this spot a lot, but very disappointed with the service recently. Also they charge 1 dollar for credit card and zelle. A processing fee through zelle is illegal they don't get charged like a credit card fee when using zelle therefore they are stealing money from us. They were just trying to up charge everything. Sorry there are plenty other better places than this spot.

Es la primera vez que probamos este lugar, ordenamos quesatacos, tacos regulares y consomé, todo estaba muy rico y bien servido, solo tengo dos sugerencias, el consomé estaba un poco pasado de sal y sería bueno que preguntaran si lo quiere uno con carne o sin carne, nosotros pedimos un consomé grande y tenía la mitad del bote carne así que era muy poquito consomé. Pero si recomiendo el lugar y claro que regresáremos otra vez. Auténtico sabor a birria.

I usually don't post negative reviews but, I really felt the need to advise people about this place. We decided to head out to Compton to eat some tacos and Consome. The last time I was there less than a year ago the staff was friendly and the food was delicious the only thing was that they would not accept Credit Card payment CASH ONLY. So I drove to the bank and went back to the restaurant. The wait is terrible waited almost 40 minutes for my food and their number is unlisted. Well last night I attempted to take a business card in order to call ahead so the wait is not that long. The lady at the register very unfriendly said that not to take a card only for Catering. First of all this lady does not know if I will use them for Catering in the future. Also the food did not taste the same. I give them 1 star for their bad customer service. Please be advised they now accept Credit Card payment will charge $1 fee They ask you to use the number printed on the receipt and you can not call to place your order on the weekend.

I just had the worst experience with this place!! I place an order and they didn't give me my 3 consomes. Then when i asked them for it they claimed i didn't order them even with my receipt on hand. Even with that they still refuse to give me my complete order. Never going here again.

I have been wanting to try this place for a while since I came across on them on Instagram. Definitely looks on social media can be quite deceiving compared to once you experience them in person. Let me start with the negatives: 1) I don't know if this is the same issue at all their locations since this was my first, but be aware that their service is extremely slow. It takes forever to get your food even though is birria. My recommendation is do not come here if you are starving because it will take a while to get your food 2) They good a great job for their food to look quite appetizing on their Instagram, but in person the birria plate was not best. Let me say that portion can be better especially from what they advertise on their Instagram. My plate was poorly served, the flavor of beans was plain (no salt) and the rice was decent. 3) The agua de Jamaica sucks! Basically it's water with a bunch of sugar and a minimum amount of hibiscus. Pineapple is better but still way too sweet. 4) This is one of those businesses that they charge you for using your ATM/Credit Card. Bring cash if you want to avoid that. Now the positives: 1) Birria has a good flavor. Not the best I've head but definitely worth trying it. 2) I would recommend sticking to the large consome instead of the birria plate. They are the same price $12, but I think you get more for your buck with consome. 3) The regular birria tacos were well served 4) Their salsa is pretty good and has a kick to it Overall, I would of given a 4 starts to this place but was not too pleased with the slow service, the birria plate poorly served, agua de Jamaica needs major improvement, and also they need to clean their premises quite often especially the restroom was discussing with no soap, no paper towels.

Okay I finally tried this place and here it goes. Food: I'd say a 2 stars. Was not impressed with my Quesotaco and Taco dorado. Tacos lacked flavor, sauce on side also lacked flavor. Both my tacos looked the same, couldn't tell which was was which since I did not see the cheese on the Quesotaco. Ambiance: extremely small, whoever design/structure the layout was done very poorly. Everyone bumping to everyone. To place your order you're literally breathing on each other's neck! Service: HORRIBLE, wait time is extremely long but I don't get why since everything is shrewdly cooked ... except the tortillas. In the 30 minutes I was there, almost everyone was missing items (from drinks to rice/beans) Location: not the greatest Will definitely not return

The food is good but the service is trash! We order at 9:54 and waited more then hour for our order. Bad customer service...BAD!!

I bought 2 large cups of birria and 15 tacos to share with my family all the way to Riverside that's 1hr drive from Compton. Bought from the lunch truck on Rose in Compton. When all my starving nieces and nephews were ready to dig to their surprise the cups only had consomé! I paid $12 each plus tax. How could this happen! How could they not notice they put no meat in cups. It goes through multiple people before it gets packed to go. I had to go drive to get them food. Another $30.00. No where to talk to someone. Hope ownership sees this it was not ok!!

Call the restaurant to place an order and they ask you to pay the order with credit card but they charge you ONE dollar to pay with credit card

Really good tacos and burritos here. Only downside is they sneak in a $1 fee to use your debit card no matter how much money you spend! They do not tell you about the fee they just charge it to you! I understand if spending like $5 to charge a fee but if I spent $13 and still get charged a $1 THAT IS A SCAM!

I can't even think about their food without my mouth watering. I'd been craving some really good birria de res for months & tried a couple of different places, but they never really hit the spot the way this place did! I found this place on IG & when I was in the area, I knew I had to stop by. The location is definitely sketch af, but that was minor compared to the quality of food. We tried the tacos dorados & the mulitas with some consome on the side. First of all, the consome is a must! It was a little on the salty side, but honestly, it's to die for. They also give you tortillas on the side for all the meat in the bottom of the cup. We got cheese on our tacos dorados & I highly recommend that as well. We put salsa on them & then dipped them in the consome... All I can say is- you need it in your life. The salsa roja is bomb & added the perfect amount of spiciness. The mulitas were good, but a lot messier to eat. I would just get 3 tacos dorados con queso & some consome next time!
