Birrieria Jalisco

I've come here lots of times over the past 2 years and every single time has been 10/10! Both with service and with the food/drink. The grilled cheese is sooo good it's crispy on the outside and really juicy on the inside. Try it!

I am endlessly happy that Birrierra Jalisco moved into our neighborhood! The food is amazing, and the service is quick and friendly. You MUST try the Mexican pizza and the Consume. 5 STARS ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Exactly what I was looking for, easy but tasty food. This cart has delicious, flavorful food and incredibly friendly staff. I had 2 carnitas tacos, super tasty meat, grilled tortillas, wish I’d ordered 3. There are 2 picnic tables with umbrellas for seating. Parking available in the lot.

Though this food cart's menu is heavy on meat, I always get a veggie burrito which is packed with cheese, beans, rice, avocado as well as other veggies. The tasty burrito is huge and is more than I can eat in one sitting. Service is fast and friendly.

This ranks among the best birria I've had. Super friendly service and SO Quick! The slim tacos (keto: crispy-cheese instead of a tortilla) were new to me and an exciting distraction from the quesobirria, which were perfectly executed and fresh. The consommé was very good and not too thin. The mulitas had a ton of meat in and on top, which created an excellent flavor profile. The vampiros were the star here for me, with the exact amount of crunch to give an extra layer of texture complexity. The meat was just a little dry (before adding salsa or consommé) but the entire package is so well done that it outshines the ONLY fault I could find. Besides, who isn't dipping their birria? That's a crime. I can't wait to get back!

THIS PLACE IS A MUST! Great staff. Not the fastest, but worth whatever wait there may be. VERY happy I live close by 😋. The slim are perfect for a keto diet and the consume is so flavorful. Yuuummm! Thank you for such tasty food.

best horchata in the se, hands down! Maybe even the best horchata I've ever had out of hundreds across CA, WA, ID, TX, and OR. I almost didn't try it until I saw it and I knew it was the real deal.... not the fake flour stuff some places try to call horchata. Their birria pizza is crazy good too (a little pricey on the pizza), but it's literally like 7 tacos or something, it's a full day's food for me at $13, so I guess not that bad price lol. worth the drive, trust me!

I'm so satisfied after eating here!! Love the tacos and piña drink. The staff is friendly and accommodating. I'll definitely be back soon.

This place I would say has the best birra tacos that I've ever had the only thing is they are pretty pricey, $3.00 a taco. The taste is to die for;the taco is filled with tender meat.

Delicious tacos and salsas. I get these tacos frequently. One of my faves. The salsas range from mild to spicy and their tacos are juicy and cheesy. The consume was so flavorful. I really enjoy their tacos.

72nd and Flavel is not a bustling corner, so it's a little anomalous to have a food truck parked there. But I'm glad Birrieria Jalisco is there cause I love their food. Have mostly had smaller things, like the spider, the consomme (!) and the quesataco. But mostly I have vampiros, two today. $3 gets a taco with the grilled stiff cheese, a big mound of the sauced beef and a sprinkle of veggies. While the mild sauce is a bit mild for me the spicy is way too. Gpot my food in like three minutes.

Didn't take pictures because I was too busy stuffing my face. Yep. Finally a place with birria that actually has flavor... I figured as much since the consume is a menu item AND they even have a birria ramen menu item. Whaaaat?!?! Got regular chicken tacos, birria slim tacos, birria vampire tacos, chicken quesataco, and a chicken mulita. GET THE SLIM TACOS!!! It's a cheese shell, yo. Ohmigod, these might be my favorite tacos. The mulita was my second favorite. I'm honestly not sure the difference between the vampire taco and the regular taco other than the regular taco had two tortillas and was noticeably crunchier. Ordered through Postmates and the tacos that were supposed to be crunchy, were still crunchy. Impressive. MAKE SURE YOU ORDER THE SIDE OF CONSUME.

Best birrieria I've had in SE Portland. Everything was super solid. For $10 you can get a variety plate. It doesn't come with consome so you have to purchase it separate. So everything came out to $13. Plenty of food. Definitely shareable between two people. My favorite was probably just the taco. Great flavors. I liked the salsas as well. Nice and spicy. The consome was quite thick if that's what you're into. Overall, it was good. Not my favorite in Portland but convenient and satisfies the craving. Worth a try.

I'm new to Portland and loving it here, but I'm trusting reviews to send me to the best spots! I've been wanting to try berria tacos for a while...and y'all. This is delicious. The service was amazing. Even my cat was trying to get in on the tasty slim tacos and consume. I am allergic to gluten, so I have to be a little careful. Since the shell of the slim tacos is just cheese, it totally works! I had only brought over a $20 and the person said she would cover the last $1 of my $21 bill. However, I was able to scrounge a $1 in change! I'll be sure to bring extra $$ next time and double my tip!!! They also gave me a complimentary hotchata to welcome me to Portland. That deliciousness was gone long before I got home. My brain was so focused on getting my food in my mouth that I forgot pics. I'll be back. I love love love the consume. It brings the taco from a 8.5 to a 9.9 in my book.

Food was overall great! Best thing we got was the quesabirra taco of course and the carnitas quesadilla. Enjoyed the chicken tacos but would skip rice and beans and asada next time. We got it delivered so I'm looking forward to visiting in person.

I have the pork barriera tacos," holy damn ". Those tacos were fantastic and I'm sorry but I forgot to take a picture because I was eating them too fast. Definitely need to order more, maybe six next time.

After driving past the colorful food cart countless times, I decided to stop for breakfast-lunch today just before noon. Folks working the cart are very pleasant, and explain what the items unfamiliar to me contained. I ordered two Quesataco with chicken and a chicken burrito. I'd never tried a Quesataco before, and it was tasty. The burrito was huge. So, why Just three stars? I didn't ask what it contained when ordering. The burrito was loaded with as much rice and beans as chicken. And, all three needed a little seasoning (salt). I ate the Quesatacos first (actually, one on the way home). But, I noticed this "grease slick" in my mouth, like it was fried in lard. Same with the burrito. I cut open the burrito and left the tortilla behind. Even after brushing, flossing and using mouthwash, I couldn't get the grease and smell out of my mouth. Neighbors rave about their food; so, perhaps it's just me -- not to my taste.

This is hands down our go to birria spot! I've tried a few around the area and I can't help but keep coming back to this spot. The birria pizza is bomb! It's basically a huge quesadilla for only $12! I recently tried the torta and it was delicious! PS: don't forget to order a consomé!

I would put 10 STARS if I could. I have had other Birrieria restaurants and Birrieria Jalisco is BY FAR the best I've had so far. YOU HAVE TO TRY THIS PLACE!

So disappointed. There were 14 cheap corn chips under a mountain of toppings, which the toppings are okay tasting, but it ended up being weird and gross and not "nachos". The most disappointing thing was the ramen was a pack of microwavable noodles. I don't have a microwave, and if I wanted to cook at home I would have done that.

The service was quick but The food tastes so bland. I don't think I will come back here again...

How did Brentwood-Darlington get so lucky! We ordered quesatacos and horchata. Along with the delightful selection of salsas, we couldn't ask for a more flavorful and satisfying meal. In terms of tacos, this combination of tender stewed beef, melted cheese, and a bit of crunch from the onions and crispy tortilla edges is *chef's kiss*. Run, walk, or bike over and show this new neighborhood gem some love!

You guys...y'all need to come check out this place! The birria is so good! Everything we got (pizza, quesotaco, grilled cheese sandwich) was delicious. I am going to try the ramen next because that birria - yum!

Literally my favorite place to eat in all of Portland. So flavorful, good price and portion sizes. I've eaten here quite a few times now and have not had any issues, even when using delivery services such as doordash, which is saying a lot. Can't recommend this place enough honestly!

Wow this was such a DELICIOUS place to stop by on a whim. For our first time here we purchased the tacos and quesatacos (chicken and birria) and consome and oh myyyy best in town. The tacos dipped in the flavorful consome were perfecto! I wish I got a bigger size of the consome to drink up as a delicious side soup, it is so flavorful. Everything was truly very good, I couldn't pick my favorite :) and I'm already thinking about what I want to get next time I am near by. Pineapple Aqua Fresca with chamoy is also a must! I don't write Yelp reviews often but this place deserves a mention and a visit !

I ordered online and the food was fine. The horchata on the other hand was pretty disappointing, it was full of sediment. Even after thoroughly mixing it still felt like I was drinking sand. How do they think it's okay to sell this?

The Barria Pizza is so good, I can't imagine how delicious everything else could be!!! Yummy!

BEST BIRRIA IN TOWN! The meat is perfect and the consome is by far the best one I've had in Portland! The people serving your food provide quality meat/ingredients and a great price. Loved their horchata and their piña one too! They are actually from Jalisco MX so their food is on point and you're supporting an authentic Mexican owned food truck which is always awesome! Definitely recommend if you love Mexican food!

Delicious and cheap tacos! Very fresh, tasty, tender meat. Lots of flavor. The cheese ones are AMAZING! Delicious salsa served on the side too.

After trying all the nearby competitors, I have decided this is BY FAR the best birria in Portland. The meat has the perfect amount of juiciness that it makes you crave the next bite. The staff is really friendly and customer service was on point! I also had the Agua de piña and the chamoy on the rim was absolutely delicious. They also sell their chamoy to go for rimming drinks at home! Will definitely be coming back, and so glad to see them open in the neighborhood #SupportLocal #SupportSmallBusinesses
