The 13 Best Birria Tacos In Austin, TX - Austin - The Infatuation

"We’re not sure which you’ll notice first: the bright pink exterior or the smell of stewed beef wafting from Birrieria Mama Rosa, a food truck parked at a gas station in Hyde Park. The specialty here is all things birria, and you’ll find it in everything from a folded and fried tortilla to a steaming hot bowl of ramen noodles. Grab some tacos for lunch, or make a night of it with a 12” pizza (basically a giant quesadilla) packed with a pound of meat and enough consomé to fill a small bucket." - nicolai mccrary, raphael brion

Delicious QuesaBirria Tacos. A little hidden on the corner and not much seating. Had to drive slowly to find it in the dark. 3 Tacos and Strawberry Lemonade drink. Delicious taste. ABSOLUTELY LOADED with cheese and meat. Wish it had a little more cilantro and chopped onions, but the flavor was there even if the cheese and meat overpowered it. A decent balance of flavor combined with their green hot sauce, lime and consome makes up for a classic quesabirria taco taste. Very very yummy indeed. Definitely get the Strawberry lemonade! I expected it to be super sweet considering those 2 flavors, but it had the perfect mix and flavor of both! Very refreshing and delicious. 8.5/10 Go here 😋

Omg so delicious and quick to serve. I expected to wait really long for my order but it came out quickly! The tacos are full of meat and their loaded birra fries are tots which I love!

These quesabirria tacos have tons of meat, but are still well-balanced. The consomme was even better with a lot of fresh cilantro and — as strange as it is to say — I appreciated getting two very large and juicy lime slices. I wish there were more places to sit (there are 6 chairs in total) but I won't dock a star from a food truck for that.

First I ordered wrong then they fixed it even after starting the order. I offered to pay for both they said no, you don't see that at a lot of places, they earn their money here. I got the Pizza Quesabirria, it looked novelty but when I opened the box it was anything but. I can talk all day how I smashed the whole box to pieces because it was just so darn tasty. But you have to try it for yourself, I am going back probably tomorrow to get lunch. Please try this place out. They deserve all the business and positive reviews you see.

My husband and I love to support food trucks. It’s the best Mexican I’ve had in my stay in Austin thus far. Support small business. Wait time was less than 10 min.

These are the best birria tacos around. The tortillas have a nice medium crisp with juicy beef and cheese. The consume “sauce” just makes it 10 times better. Best birria I’ve had. Love this place so much

Food truck tucked away behind a strip mall, but once you find it, you’ll love it. There’s one small table for 4 you can eat at, but most order takeout. The guy inside is a sweetheart! I got birria ramen despite how hot it was outside — he packed it up really nicely to ensure there were no spills on the way home. Great flavors, lots of broth/consume, and the noodles had a great texture considering how long they were sitting in the bowl. Definitely would consider checking them out.

Had the birria special plate. They give you two different flavors of salsa. Broth was at a perfect temperature & density. Tacos are very full of both birria meat and cheese. Very good portions! They did have very limited drinks but you’re right next to a gas station so easy solution. Parking area is a little tight but food is so good and worth it. They do have a single table with few chairs. As well with 2 chairs on the side in case of waiting. Def a good spot if you are in for a car date haha.
