The place is beautiful (I mean, it's the classic tuscany landscape, so...), but you can only see a bit of the house and the expo doesn't add too much to the experience, specially if you've seen the other museums, even so, I think it's valid to go take a look, since you're already in the city :) Unfortunatelly it was too hot for me to take the trail, but I've been told it's a nice one!

A historical place, located in the beautiful nature. Just outside Vinci, which is a charming small Town, the birthplace of Leanardo was a nice small stop before we headed home. You can walk around in the outside for free, or can enter the buildings for a tiny fee.

4 eur per person, expensive consudering there is not much to see inside. Touch screen was turned off -broken? Better to walk outside and make a pictures of the building and surrounding -its free of charge.

Absolutely not worth the price ticket and the drive up. Its a lovely house and view from outside but inside there is nothing, just 3 big rooms. 1 with a big fire place, 1 with some information panels and 1 with a big projector.

It is winter. No one was there. We had the entire house to ourselves. It is small and mighty. The ticket includes a tour of the museum/medieval church where his engineering inventions are on display. I was enchanted. At his birth house (a short drive up the hill), the nice attendant took us to the viewing room and showed us a video in English that taught us more about this master engineer, painter, and thinker. He was born an illegitimate child to a servant woman and a father who would never acknowledge him. His grandfather recorded his birth, and it was his uncle who left him what land was rightfully his. Alot of who Leonardo became was inspired by growing up in this enchanted hill town outside of Florence. Nature played a huge part. I would go back in summer when more places in the village of Vinci are open.

4/5 only because dogs are not allowed in the museum and we were traveling with our dog. The trail from Vinci to the house is a very nice walk.

Very cool place for history buffs. Original house still standing. Wow! You'll need a car to get to the house and museum. Please ask about ticket price, I went with a tour that handled everything. Do recommend traveling with an organized group. You meet so many wonderful people. BTW. At the bottom of the little hill, before the the house, is a vendor with really yummy cookie/chip for sale.

Unless you’re fluente in Italian, the inside has nothing of value to offer. The outside is pretty, I admit, but not worth the time or even the 1€ it may cost. Every information of value like the projected film is in Italian.
