Place really lives up to the name. Great variety of Biryani, all of it very delicious. I have been here multiple times and it has always exceeded my expectations. Also has a range of tasty vegetarian/ vegan options and appetizers. All of the food is very authentic while still able to cater to western culture (indian vs american spice levels for dishes).

Me and my fiancé loved Biryani hub. We tried weekend specials; fish tandoori, Kerala Parotta, and Nalli goat biryani. It was so so good. Personally I loved the biryani most, it felt like spices exploded in my mouth and the goat was so soft and so well cooked. I loved how light the kerala parotta felt. The place felt cozy, staff were friendly and the service was good. The weekend specials are on Friday - Sunday. Overall 😍✨

Delicious food, great service. Recommend this place to anyone. The favorite dishes are the gobi 65, chicken lollipops, and haven’t found a curry that was anything less that flavorful. 15% discount if you pay cash when dining in. A gem of a restaurant in the area.

Absolutely loved the food here! The biryani was rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked with tender meat and aromatic spices. Every bite tasted authentic and fresh. Portions are generous, and the quality is consistent. Service was quick and friendly, and the overall atmosphere was pleasant. Highly recommended for anyone craving real, delicious biryani. Biriyani Hub is the absolute best I’ve had in authentic Indian Cuisine and I have traveled extensively! The service and the food was spot on. I highly recommend you stop in and sit down for a meal.

Highs- very authentic and tasty food. Goat Dum Biriyani gets a 5/5. Tried plain Dosa gets a 4/5 expected crispier and a bit more fermented. Wanted to try some goat curry and asked the server of recommendation to try. He couldn’t do recommendations but met the chef on the way out but was too late. Food takes a little more than normal time to show up. Overall a 5/5 must recommend for any taste buds, specifically Indian. Try the dum biriyani. Really made in dum, Hyderabad style.

This was my second visit to Biryani Hub and both times have been excellent. The food is always delicious and the service is friendly. My Indian coworkers go out of their way from Newport News to come here as well and highly recommend it. I tried the Lamb Biryani weekend special and it was outstanding. A little pricey but the portion was huge! I should have shared it, but it'll be lunch tomorrow. We'll be back soon.

This is the first time visiting this restaurant, and food n service was great ! Their special chicken biryani is a must try. We also ordered Ghee roast dosa, which had good variety of chutneys. Overall, it has been a pleasant experience. Will surely stop-by when we visit Norfolk again.

This place is a hidden gem! Doesn't look like much on the outside, but the food is top notch! We've been a few times now and I have loved it every time. Might seem like a small thing, but their masala chai is amazing! The biryani is so something you must try if you've never had it. The curries are also really great. I had the matar paneer tonight and loved every bite--so much so that I ate a little too much. Oh well... it was worth it! In addition to the excellent food, service is always great! Very friendly staff and food delivery is timely. Biryani Hub is a staple for us!

I come here every single weekend or pick up food from here every single weekend. Without a doubt the best place for Indian food in all the near by cities. The service is good, I've never had a bad experience. The food is absolutely amazing and not expensive. The ambiance is okay it's your normal restaurant. If you want to eat good Indian food, this is the place to go. Just make sure you verify whether you want it American spicy or Indian spicy.

Great service and great food! First off, definitely do not judge this restaurant by its cover! The outside and location of this place was a little sketchy but once you step in, it's completely different! Service was simple and easy, food came out fresh and hot! By hot, I mean real spice! Definitely watch their spice levels, we ordered the "American Medium" and we were sweating!

This place sent my taste buds on a spiritual journey -- they haven't come back. Walked into The Biryani Hub expecting a solid meal. Walked out questioning every bland food choice I've ever made. The biryani here isn't just food--it's an emotional experience. I took one bite and swear I heard a Bollywood soundtrack start playing in the distance. Somewhere, a slow-motion hair flip happened. The chicken biryani was so good I almost proposed to it. Perfectly spiced, tender chicken, and rice so fluffy it could be used as a pillow in a luxury spa. I cried a little. Not sure if it was from the spice or the overwhelming sense of joy. If you're not eating here, what are you doing with your life? This place is like therapy, but cheaper and with more saffron. Will 100% be back--probably wearing stretchier pants.

In Norfolk for a work trip and had to find somewhere to eat at 9pm on a Sunday night. Thankfully this place was open so decided to give it a try. Chicken Tikka masala curry was nice and creamy with lots of meat. Worker convinced me try the Chettinad curry with lamb. It was really tasty! A darker curry like Rogan Josh curry but with more herbs and flavor. Lots of meat as well. The best part is that they can make it actually very spicy! A lot of Indian restaurants don't make it spicy enough. Got me sweating! (They can also make it non spicy of course). I travel frequently for work and this is the first time a worker asked me if I wanted paper plates (Styrofoam) to go which was super considerate and convenient for me since I was eating in a hotel. They're like half bowl/plates so it keeps the curry in. My only complaint is that the garlic Naan didn't have enough garlic taste to it, and the Naan was a little thicker than I like. But not a bid deal. Oh, and you also get 15% off if you use cash!

Didn't Expect Much, but ended Up Loving the Biryani! Dropped by a small-town spot near VA Beach with low hopes of finding good biryani but walked out seriously impressed. Place looked average from outside. Appetizers were tasty, chicken curry was just ok, but the biryani stole the show. Both boneless and bone-in versions were flavorful and really well done.

Food was authentic and good. Service was friendly and fast for takeout. It's now my go to Indian restaurant.

Boy talk about indian food this place is on point but be mindful of the spice levels, they have indian spicy level and the American spicy level I ordered the indian mild and a few second i started sniffing like watching a sad movie, it's authentic. The service is outstanding the service is fast and the servers are polite and actually Indians from India with the head shake, the manager is very engaged with the customers makes you feel very welcome. Ambience is on point as soon as you walk in you know you're in India, the smell, the design and majority of the people including the customers.

Wish I could give more stars since the service was great - we were greeted as soon as we entered, we indicated we wanted to sit in the back area and they accommodated us wanting a booth so we can seat comfortably on their cushioned bench and have elbow room to spread out. Tap Water bottle was already filled with 4 wine glasses on the table. They removed the extra place settings. The white plates slightly dusty seemingly due to being set on the table for some time and stainless steel spoon and fork wrapped in paper napkin secured by paper stickies were available. The onion pakora was slightly over-fried, dark brown with burnt edges. The mint chutney dip and tamarind dip were of good consistency, not watered down. The chicken tikka masala came with 5 bite sized chunks of (where's the) chicken? The broth was enough for dipping with naan. Speaking of naan, we ordered 2 portions, both of which were undercooked on the side where the garlic butter is smeared. Dal Makhani was okay, nothing memorable. The rice was dry and didn't taste fresh. The parking lot isn't well lit, maybe would get better turnout if it doesn't seem closed all the time.

They are open for dining services as of this week Sept 2023, that's 3+ years of only take out. The food isn't back to its pre-Covid era but they are trending in that direction. We ordered chicken korma, goat kadai and goat butter Marsala. All dishes were good, the kadai had a sweetness to the sauce. The korma was very good.

Our new favorite Indian takeout spot in the area. We ordered through Door Dash. It came hot, fresh and super flavorful. We ordered samosas, garlic naan, butter chicken, and goat saag. The only reasons I wouldn't give 5 stars is that the chicken was just a tad bit tough and dry, which is weird since it's coated in so much sauce. The goat also had quite a few small bones, which made it just a little less enjoyable since they were hard to find. Garlic naan and samosas were both incredible!

The food is excellent with different levels of spice. The Biryani is excellent and quantity is also good. Worth the money. Staff very cordial friendly. The sweet dishes was tasty. Especially the sweet bread. We have been there 4 times in the past 3 days. My kids loved the Dosa and chilli chicken. We also took parcel and the quantity was good.

Spot on flavor!! One of the most authentic Indian flavors I've had in the US. And if you are feeling adventurous, go for the 'Indian very spicy' version. We went for the special chicken biryani and mutton gosht biryani...rice was moist with all the marination and extremely flavorful. The mutton was juicy and tender, almost falling off the bones. It totally felt like the biryani I would order and get had I been in India.

My fav insurance restaurant. Always friendly. Staff has no problem answering questions. I usually order tikka masala or curry shrimp. I haven't had a bad here once. Will always return!

A lot of sauce and not the greatest portion of chicken in my butter chicken masala....however, dip that garlic naan in the sauce and mmmmm perfect! I was a bit confused by the spice and picked American spicy...which wasn't very spicy to me. Where I'm from it is a scale of 1 to whatever and it makes a bit more sense in my mind. Like does this mean I'm an American so I can't handle the spice and they mellow it? Lol! Cuz I'm from AZ and friend, I like it with a bit more! Either way, 5 stars! I would def order again. But maybe Indian med or spicy.

We ordered this for take out tonight, which it's my first time trying their food. I've seen them on the food delivery apps for awhile, I love Indian food! I usually go to my regular place in Norfolk and at the last minute decide to try this place. We ordered three entrees and some Garlic Naan. Where do I start... upon opening my food I could tell the smell was very different than what I'm used to when eating Indian food, and not a good smell. I started plating and noticed the paneer saag and Butter Chicken masala were both very soupy consistency. I'm used to a thicker sauce. The butter chicken was drenched in this soupy sauce and some of the driest chicken I have ever tasted. It didn't make sense how dry this chicken tasted. The sauce was also sweet, which I did not like, I ordered it "Indian medium spicy" and it did not taste spicy to me. My daughter's boneless chicken biryani looked and smelt better than the other two dishes. The rice in her dish was good, the egg was over boiled, the chicken was a cheap cut of meat. One of the bite was all cartilage or a knuckle, it was super gross because I was not expecting it. The garlic naan did not taste fresh, it was flat , falling apart and hard (not like crispy hard, like stale hard). I don't like just mentioning only the negative, the positives are that the rice for both dishes were cooked perfectly, fluffy and delicious. Overall my experience was very unsatisfactory. I wouldn't be willing to try eating there again, but I hope that this feedback helps them make positive change. *Update* the owner reached out to me personally to make this situation better. It showed how much they do care and take pride in their business, food and customers. I appreciate the effort in making not the best experience much better.

Outstanding level of spice and flavor, with superb control of goat meat "earthy" taste and tenderness(My apples-to-apples measurement for chef's excellence in meat dish)! Chicken Biryani was also outstanding! Those choices made me very curious with their other dishes! Want something exotic? This place won't disappoint ! Sorry! No pictures!

The place is a little... sketch. The food was delicious. I asked for Indian spicy but it wasn't very spicy. Maybe because I'm not Indian they went easy on me... but If I say Indian spicy I want Indian spicy! We got biryani and a curry. Both tasted great. My friend from Pakistan said it tasted like home.

Yum yum yummy yum. If your looking for good Indian food in Hampton Roads area, you've found it here. Nice little spot, small cozy eat in dining area, but I always take my food to go so no one has to watch me pig out on this tasty food. That staff is friendly and helpful. The food is delicious so they get busy, be patient and call ahead.

On work travel and wanted to see if any Indian restaurants nearby. I decided to have early dinner due to positive reviews I read here in Yelp. No regrets! Staff was warming and super friendly upon entering restaurant. Ordered the Paneer Butter Masala , Dosai, and veggie samosas. Absolutely delicious . Shout out to Basha for superb service overall. Highly highly recommend!

Delicious! My man and I have the Shrimp Tika Masala and Aloo Gobi with Garlic Naan at least once a week. SOOO worth it... especially if you pay in cash.

They have the audacity to add 18% tip ($17.95) mandatory while giving us extremely bad behavior, this place adds tips from the get go so that's why they can give crappy service and get away with it. Restaurant does have tons of flies everywhere, he made excuse of rain and there is a drain in back someone left the door open. Needless to say I would never ever go back, I suggest u do the same.

The chicken biryani was excellent and I highly recommend it. It is a big portion and can probably feed two. Channa Masala was also very good. It came with white rice and was a good portion too. Highly recommend both. I ordered the garlic naan and the chefs specialty naan. Both were soggy and not very flavorful. The naan was also burnt on top and had many black burnt areas. I did have a friend also order garlic naan and she liked it. I do not plan on ordering naan from here again. Maxine from Grub Hub delivered my food and thankfully she is one of the few to add utensils to my delivery. I also had part of my order delivered by Door Dash and there was no utensils given. Grub Hub seemed faster but I did order much less from them.

Veggie Biryani was great shrimp Curry was even better. And dum ka paneer was great. Must try bullet naan. Anyone who is craving Biryani or traditional Indian food should definitely visit it's like Gem

First visit here and everything was delish! The fish was fresh and flaky. I had Indian medium for my spice level which is perfect if you want it just spicy enough for your nose to run. Mango lassi is a love it or hate it item. I loved it. It reminded me of drinking a gogurt and not in a bad way. Definitely brings the spice down. My guest had the samosas, lentils, and butter chicken. None of us were disappointed. Will definitely return!

I wasn't a fan of Biryani until I ate at Biryani Hub a few years ago. The Biryani is aromatic and the meat is perfectly seasoned. The food here is consistent and tasty everytime! This place also has my favorite Indian dessert (Carrot Halwa) which I can't find at many Indian restaurants. They offer six spice levels for the food which range from American Mild to Indian Spicy. So choose your spice level carefully. My one complaint is the saag paneer is a soupy/ pureed consistency and I'm used to saag paneer having larger pieces of leafy greens. This was my first time dining in as I usually opt for take out. When we arrived we were provided with menus, instructed to seat ourselves and to come back to the front when we were ready to order. They do offer a 15% discount if you pay in cash which is nice. If you're looking for a great dine experience this is not the place but if you're looking for great food this is the place for you!

Ordered this via Doordash. The chicken butter Marsala had a great flavor to it but there was hardly any chicken in it. There were four pieces of chicken. The garlic naan was totally burnt on one side and hard like cardboard. Very disappointed. For the price I just expected more.

Biryani Hub is a new South Indian restaurant that opened on March 28th in a former Taco Bell located just outside of Military Circle Shopping Mall facing Virginia Beach Boulevard. Judging from the high volume of customers I have seen during four visits to date, it has opened with a bang. All of their serving staff and the vast majority of the customers I have seen so far have been of Indian descent, testifying to the authenticity of their food. Their servers have been exceptionally friendly and gracious. According to a recent article in the Virginian-Pilot, it was opened by a family who owns a couple of restaurants in Pennsylvania under the name of Biryani City. I traced these restaurants to locations in Allentown and Norristown. When I studied their online menus, the wordings of many of their menu descriptions were identical to those of the new Norfolk location. Their cuisine is cooked in the regional Hyderbadi style. Known as the "Pearl City of India", Hyderbad is the capital of Andrha Pradesh, located in south India, and is historically known as a pearl and diamond trading center. A one page lunch menu is offered during the weekdays and consists of a variety of six-course meals with both a vegetarian and a non-vegetarian section. They are served on an Indian style metal tray called a Thali. During two weekday lunch visits, I ordered a meal from the non-vegetarian section, which consists of a starter dish, two gravy dishes, your choice of Chicken, Goat, Fish, or Shrimp Biryani, slices of Naan bread, and a dessert. I chose the Chicken Biryani both times, priced at only $10. The chicken can be ordered boneless or bone-in, and I chose the boneless. The side dishes for their lunch meals change daily The Chicken Biryani was incredibly delicious. One standout side dish was their Manchurian Chicken starter dish, which consists of chicken cooked in a delicious sauce made with ginger, garlic, chili sauce and vinegar. I also loved their Garlic and Mint Naan. The trays were served with incredible proportions. I was unable to finish both times and took the rest home for a second meal. My Rating: 5 Stars. Their servers always ask you for your preferred spice level, and I have requested "Indian hot" each time. They do not wimp out on the heat. I have also made two weekend lunch visits, during which you choose from their richly descriptive 6-page dinner menu. I have tried the following so far: CHICKEN BIRYANI: Their Biryani is their signature Hyderabadi style dish, and I couldn't resist trying it again in their dinner version. It is described on their menu as "Made with the best basmati rice and a perfect blend of spices. Cooked in the original dum style..." Dum style? I had to look that up. The word "Dum" translates as "air cooked" or "internal pressure." The Biryani is cooked in an Indian version of a pressure cooker known as a Handi, which helps the Biryani retain its flavors by trapping the steam. Their Chicken Biryani is without a doubt the best I've ever tasted. The combination of spices exhibited a flavor profile of incredible depth.The basmati rice was fluffy and flavorful. It was loaded with precious nuggets of their Indian hot chicken. Their dinner version was also garnished with a hard boiled egg. Once again, I couldn't finish and took the rest home. My Rating: 5 Stars. CHICKEN 65: This is a traditional Indian dish that was listed among their Appetizers. It consists of spicy and boneless deep fried chicken chunks garnished with onions and cilantro. The chicken chunks exhibit a fiery red tone from its hot chilies. There are numerous rumors as to how this dish got its name. One account claims that it is made with 65 different varieties of chili peppers. Another claims that the dish can only be made from 65-day old chickens. Whatever its origin, its flavors hit me like a Mack truck with a heat level that my made my hot tooth sing with ecstasy. My Rating: 5 Stars. QUBANI-KA-MEETA: This is an Indian dessert that originated from the city of Hyderabad and is made from dried apricots. Their menu describes it as "Apricots boiled with syrup and chilled to consistency." It came topped with a few chunks of cashews. The version served here was a bit of a miss for me, as it wasn't served chilled as described. Instead, it was served hot temperature wise. Since I was one of their first customers that day, I may have caught them off guard without enough time to chill it. This also might explain why two of their servers came by and asked me if I wanted some vanilla ice cream to go with it. It was still flavorful, and the taste of the boiled apricots came through nicely. Yet, I am certain that I would have enjoyed it more served chilled as described. My Rating: 3.5 Stars. In spite of one glitch, my rating still rounds up to 5-stars. I look forward to my future visits, and I want to try their Goat Biryani next. When it comes to Indian food, this place is definitely the real deal.

We have eaten here easily 30 times over the last two years and I will not eat Indian food from any other restaurant now. The food at Biryani Hub is the most favorable Indian food in the area. I also like the fact that you can order American or Indian heat levels as most in my family do not eat food as spicy as I do. I have tried over 20 different dishes from here and have not been disappointed by any of them.

I hate to say it but my party of 4 ordered 4 different things and we were all sick before we could even get the check.

First Taste Friday Review: I have been addicted to Indian food lately and this place is the reason. Every order is a delicious blend of chutneys and masalas that are to die for. My suggestion is to get out of your comfort zone and try something new. If you can't dine in, then you feel free to use a delivery service. Every meal is like a budget trip to India.

This place is legit. No fancy dining in, just paper plates and disposable utensils, but it is so worth it. A total flavor bomb. My wife and I split the Saag Paneer, Chicken Tikka Masala and garlic naan. It was excellent.

This could just very well be the best food on the planet. Just understand that the Indian level of spicy is not the same as Americans. I have to come eat here every time I'm in Norfolk.

The food was incredible. The service was impeccable and the ambiance of this established was phenomenal. I felt as if I was eating in my on home the staff was so nice. The food tasted like India. If you are looking for Indian food in Norfolk VA this is most definitely the place.

Great food, service is pretty good, and there's never a really long wait. If I had to nitpick, the menu doesn't really give a great explanation as to what the dishes are, but I love the Aloo Gobi Masala and cannot complain.

Yes yes yes!!! This place was plucked out of the Middle East and dropped in Norfolk. 100% yes. Every dish we ordered to go was amazing and piping hot. The Birayani checking, the lamb and sambosa were all on point.

I ordered takeout through doordash. First of all, my food got to me pretty fast which was amazing because I was starving lol. So I ordered the chicken butter masala with butter naan. It was sooooo delicious! I asked for the American medium level spice, but it was just a tad too spicy for me haha other than that it was delicious! The naan was flavorful and soft. I cannot wait to try their other dishes! :) only reason I'm making it 4 stars rather than 5 is because I wish it did have more chicken chunks as mine only had about 4-5 small pieces and the rest was all sauce. Other than that 10/10 recommend! Ps. I was too hungry and it was so good, that I forgot to snap a pic .. oops lol
